A roll-a-coaster ride of emotions and action in a twisted tale of murder and mayhem.
The Nash siblings series continues with Madeline's story, the only girl in the family and one of the triplets. Someone is determined to make Madeline look guilty of the recent brutal crimes. With mounting evidence, even she would blame herself if she didn't know better.
Just when she is in dire straits, in rides her former fling, Julian Mercer, the one man she let her guard down with seven months ago with life-changing results. Despite the fact that Madeline let him go once, Julian believes in her, wants to protect her, and is willing to do anything, even break the law, to keep her safe.
That journey turns out to be more twisted and dangerous than any of them believed to be at the scene of the first murder. And boy, do things get convoluted as the story goes on.
There is so much story to be told in the shorter length of the category romance book, that the timeline seems to be squeezed together at several points. And that was the thing for me with this book - the somewhat messy, and jumping around, timeline.
I liked the characters. I was impressed with the daring move to cast a former 'mean girl' as the heroine. The character development there, all the drama and PTSD Madeline suffered could have been one full-length novel in itself.
The romance between Julian and Madeline was all kinds of adorable. I loved how he reacted at his return to the scene. I admired how maturely they dealt with the issues they faced, both the suspense as well as the relationship drama.
The Nash family tightness, the way they simply are there for each other at every turn, no matter what was as evident as always.
The savage action, the up close and personal fights, the threats, the crimes, it kept me on the edge.
I enjoy the way the author manages to insert humor in the most intense moments. Her style to tell a story is engaging and even charming, no matter if she is talking about blood and gore on the walls in a crime scene or the troubled times the protagonist lived through in their childhood.
The Winding Road Redemption series is definitely something I can recommend, and I am looking forward to the future stories in the series.

4 1/2 STARS!

Top notch intrigue! With the next book in her Winding Road Redemption series, Tyler Anne Snell snags our attention from the very start with a crime occurring quickly. The characters and the plot were very satisfying and although the transition into introducing new scenes or characters could occasionally be smoothed out a bit with a tad more backstory, the suspense is spot on and delivers a very enjoyable read!

Innkeeper Madeline Nash unexpectedly finds herself in a heap of trouble when she's wrongfully accused of a crime and whisked off to jail. Lucky for her Julian walks back into her life just in time to give her an alibi!

Julian Mercer is fresh out of the Marines and pops back through Overlook, Tennessee on his way to the new job waiting on him in Alabama. He didn't plan on bending the truth to get Madi out of trouble, but based on the circumstances, he didn't have many options.

The second Winding Road Redemption book is the most stand alone of the series so far (I read 3 and 4 out of order). This one focuses on Maddie and how a one night stand upends Maddie's life as does the return of that one night stand. This one didn't grab me like the other books, surprise pregnancy plot lines are not my thing and I just could not connect with the characters that well. The action scenes are great, but having read the other books out of order on accident, there wasn't as much tension for me as there should have been. If you like Snell's work and have not read the later Winding Road Redemption books this one is worth reading, if you've read the later ones than I suggest skipping this one unless you like pregnancy plot lines, second chance romance, and a lot of lying to law enforcement.

This is about the second Nash triplet Madeline Nash. We meet Julian Mercer who has known Madeline before. I love how Julian becomes Madeline's alibi from the beginning of the story that causes strange twists in this story. There is still the mystery of the original kidnapping of the triplets when they were little hinted at plus the new crime. Its neat to watch the solving of the crime unravel. For what really happened is totally different than what we read at the beginning. You will enjoy reading the story and discovering old friends from the previous book plus new ones. Its got fascinating story plot with a neat twist in the plot. The question of a cop being behind the original kidnaping is answered. Also who is behind the crime will surprise you. I'm looking forward to the final triplet for we may finally find out who kidnapped the triplets. J

Usually, starting a new book after dinner is no big deal. I read a few chapters and head off to bed at a reasonable hour. Not with this book. Credible Alibi had me turning pages even as my eyes drooped from exhaustion and my (sensible) brain screamed at me to turn out the light and go to sleep. It didn't happen. Like the popular Sheldon Cooper meme on Facebook, I didn't need sleep; I needed answers.

Madi and Julian face tough situations and battle the bad guys en route to their happily ever after. This is a must read!

Nail biting tension/suspense greets you in the beginning and follows Madi and Julian throughout the story. Loved Julian who is determined to protect Madi, but he sure takes a licking, but keeps on ticking!
Intrigue that draws you through a maze of twists, turns, and surprises leaving you reading into the wee hours of the morning.

Credible Alibi was an action packed read that I could not put down! I absolutely LOVED Julian and Madeline. This there was just enough suspense and steam to keep me turning the page and cursing that it had to end!
