SIX BEANS IN THE CAN
Well, howdy folks glad we are merging against in the 🌞sunny, hot dusty town of Buffalo Gap, Texas. Brawling Dick Bloodworth has just arrived with a bloody shooting history, but above all he's well known in Kansas as a "big time gambler." That's all Sheriff Cull and Deputy Brewer need. Now that type of notoriety brings all types of unwanted attention to Buffalo Gap. Card cheats, saddle tramps, and people around town who want to brag they sat at the table with Brawling Dick Bloodworth.
We are also given some history of solders who were addicted to morphine due to the wars these men fought and lost their arms and legs. Evidently Mr. Bloodworth was a morphine addict due to all violence he's endured, such as stabbings bullet wounds the typical norm that men faced everyday living in the minimum lawless western frontier.
Sheriff Cull and Deputy Brewer had their hands full keeping the peace. Jane Gooch, the Schoolmom for Buffalo Gap, is also the down low girlfriend of Sheriff Cull and she's a good mate for the Sheriff, a good sounding board. Also the author included information about a private firm hired by the Legislation body to run the state's prisons(sound familiar) this reference was used when referring to the notorious Huntsville Prison, Alabama. That prison is still down right horrendous..Life is and was hard during that period. Many frontier doctors never went to medical school, they received their training hands on during the Civil War. Lawyers learned by going to colleges if their families could afford it. Like Abraham Lincoln and many more lawyers were self taught. Remember literacy was practically non existent and many people in law or others could not read or write. The "X"was widely used and legally accepted in place of a person's name!!!
Another mystery is settled by Sheriff Tindale and Deputy Brewer and with Jane Gooch's input. Avoid ing shoot outs, but men still died regardless of how Sheriff Tindale intercepted the situations.
We all say ride easy and at the end of the day as he and Jane, his dog Crockett, relax on their porches and Sheriff Tindale stretches out and lights his favorite ByBee Brothers Cigar as they watch a beautiful Texas sunset..also we have to include Danny Evans, an orphan, whom was adopted by the town of Buffalo Gap..how about that folks, nice bunch right???

Very good. Enjoyed very much. I am having trouble getting number 4 prime sayes I ordered it to night which I did but can't get it downloaded

When Brawling Dick Bloodworth comes to town, and intends to stay, Sherriff Tindall knows he has his hands full. A gambler and a gunfighter, he has gained quite a reputation and people want to kill him, Tindall needs to protect him and his secret, no matter what it is.

Live by the gun and gamble your life away. Bloodworth came to Buffalo Gap to die. Not the way he wanted it, but he got it the same way he killed another man in the story.

Great book!
Finally, a western novel with only one typo!! There may be more, but I never saw them. Good story line, believable plots, and basically a fun read.

This one was really good too!
I really enjoyed book #3! It didn't end as I expected but what a great storyline! Very sad what age and addiction will do to one.
