***1.5 Disappointing Stars***
Commander Tria instantly falls for Joyce at first sight and claims her...kidnaps her. He is a snarly, growly, non-communicative hero. Insta love with a touch of denial!

I love a man that's willing to fight for his woman, hell even go to war for her. But I need that hero to share his feeling with said woman as he tries to woo her. The thing is, I need to be wooed right along with the heroine. Otherwise I get annoyed!!!
Grrrrr...need I say he annoyed me the first 70% of the book. During the last 30%, he miraculously undergoes a transformation and starts to explain his feelings and thoughts to Joyce. He was so eloquent that I thought the book would have been amazing if he had talked this way from the start. I love a sweet talking, sexy alien.
A major plot flaw was the language translator that the aliens and Joyce had uploaded in their head so they could understand each other. The aliens rarely understood common terms and took everything so literal. So every time Joyce said "F*ck you", the Aliens would smile and say something like, "Yes, would you like to do it here?"
Joyce was not likable. Her main communication style was to curse and use slang the aliens didn't understand. She got on my nerves! Oh, and this is set in the future but Joyce sounds like an uneducated, trashy sailor with her "F*ck this" and "F*ck that" and "SOB this" and "M*thrF*ucker that"!
So we have a snarling annoying hero, a cursing heroine that talks before thinking, and a weak plot. 1.5 stars rounded up to 2 because I did finish it and I have read much worse.

This audiobook was 11 hours and I made it through 2 before deciding to abandon it because nothing was happening besides a bunch of whining and shrieking on the part of the female main character and puffing and posturing on the part of the male main character. It’s so hard to find engaging books in this genre that aren’t either a snoozefest or a sexfest.

So I have this problem with books like this, where something is described as Terran (Earthan, etc.) when it's really US American. Like the Terran language here? Early 21st century American English. The culture? Early 21st century lower middle class white culture. And so on. If that's how you want to design your character, that's totally fine, but the planet Earth extends beyond the Florida state border.
The heroine in this case spends all her time yelling and swearing at people (she's been kidnapped, I get the anger) but then is described as having diplomatic talents. Really? Where? Were they lost in the transporter, because I never saw them. She also repeatedly calls herself a "healthy fluffy girl" who "doesn't do cardio" and is frequently presented as physically weak. So I'm not sure how health is being defined here. (And mostly don't care, except that it's stated often enough to have pushed my *puzzled head tilt* button. Plus I know some healthy fluffy girls and they're pretty kickass so this description seems kind of insulting.)
The "romance" is equally baffling -- fwiw the h/h don't have sex until the last chapter, I think after they declare "I love you"s, but I'm not positive and don't care enough to double-check. There's really nothing leading up to it except for fighting so it's not like I believe/care anyway.

I enjoyed this book against my will. It is silly, doesn't make that much sense in terms of character behavior and the romance is mostly because, yeah, romance.
However, the world has promise and I laughed. So, good mind candy for me and I hope there is more.

LOVED IT.
I really identified with the heroine, I'd be cussing up a storm if I was ever in the same situation.
The Hero is just adorable. Big Bad guy who is utterly clueless with women, he makes many mistakes. He has a heart of gold, though, because he is really trying.
WARNING: Do not start this book before bedtime. I stayed up until 3 am reading it. Luckily it was a Saturday night but I am dragging today. Worth it because this one is a keeper.

Can’t say I liked this. It was on the low side of ok.
She pushed away too much and they spent loads of time apart.
Her attitude got annoying and I ended up not liking her.
The author totally emasculated the hero. It was sad and uncomfortable. Especially since Joyce was quite the bitch - a lot.
Glad this was a free load.

Alien Commander’s Chosen was a book that could, very kindly, be described to be of mixed quality. It definitely had some potential for fun as a nonsensical alien romcom but that was hindered badly by some deeply unsettling elements that damaged my ability to enjoy the tale. The story had its moments of quirky humor and lighthearted banter which was occasionally entertaining and provided a brief escape into crazy alien romcom-land but the “romance” definitely failed to land because of some of the worse elements of the story.
The plot could have been typical alien romcom fun. Joyce, a lowly secretary at the planetary defence department (or some such place), runs head first into an alien commander who is visiting to select a human ambassador for his ship. After he injures her in the collision he decided she will be his ambassador and whisks her back to his ship to heal her up. Cue some potentially fun mishaps as an unprepared Joyce gets thrust into a job she never anticipated, and is definitely not trained for, all while being in the power of a lonely alien who is getting more obsessed with romancing her by the minute!
It was a decent enough set up for a potentially fun, light-hearted, crazy alien romcom. Which is exactly what Celia Kyle tried to write. Sometimes she even succeeded. I liked some aspects of the humour though it definitely tended to be a bit crude for my liking at other times and I felt the potential for romance was there. I also enjoyed the fish out of water elements of the story as Joyce dealt with some crazy aliens and they had to deal with her.
I’ll just come flat out and say this book is significantly marred by its underlying political views and moral messaging which are both disturbing and annoying. I hate this sort of messaging in any of my books but it feels especially incongruous within the romcom genre. It is meant to be escapist fun ffs!
Unfortunately the story was just badly damaged by its more disturbing elements. One particularly annoying and disturbing aspect was how Joyce, our lead character, never seemed to teach the aliens anything about human society. I don’t mind a story starting in some weird society but they absolutely have to show some positive growth over the story if I’m going to be investing in folks from that culture in the long haul. Instead, Joyce was the one forced to adapt to their ways, often in unsettling and regressive ways. The most fucked up example (but definitely not the only one) of this was when Joyce was compelled to prove her “worth as a woman” in this weird alien society by removing her contraceptive implant and getting herself impregnated. This aspect of the plot was not only jarring but also felt disturbingly regressive and more reminiscent of a dystopian narrative found in the likes of The Handmaid’s Tale rather than a light-hearted romance. I wanted light romance, not a tale that was liked a fucked up mix of Gilead and Gor masquerading as a romcom!
All in all the troubling elements overshadowed the potential for a fun escapist read. I nearly pulled the plug on this book a few times but did power on to the very end. The moments of enjoyment were too often undercut by the unsettling themes and the problematic portrayal of gender dynamics and straight up disturbing dystopian wish-fulfilment which made it impossible to fully appreciate the intended humor and romance. The book had some fun ideas but was honestly a real misfire.
Rating: 2.5 stars. I’m rounding down despite some fun potential in this one because it was just so fucked up at times.

DELICIOUSLY CUTE, SERIOUSLY SEXY AND COMPLETELY CAPTIVATING !!!
Oh My Glory! Erin Tate has dazzled us yet again with another amazing Sci-fi Romance. Alien Commander's Chosen is another riveting release by the incredibly talented Tate and it totally rocks! Originally, it consisted of five separate installments, all of which were published and released on the same day but have now been combined into one great collection which means good news for us - no cliffhanger! Woo-Hoo! I initially read all five books in one sitting under the Kindle Unlimited Program and loved every minute of it! Alien Commander's Chosen is a wonderfully entertaining science fiction series filled to the brim with adventure, intrigue, action, humor and alien romance. Ou..La...La! The story is exciting, thrilling, riveting, imaginative, humorous, action packed, sweet, arousing, romantic and oh so dreamy. Sigh.....The dialogue is smart, inventive, well written, flows effortlessly and is at times, absolutely hilarious. The characters are fascinating, captivating, engaging, endearing, sexy and frequently, laugh out loud funny. Tate expertly crafts these elements into a deliciously cute, completely captivating and seriously sexy read! Joyce Enner lives in a very small apartment, has very few friends or maybe they're just good acquaintances, has a temporary dead-end job, her boss is an absolute a-hole tyrant, and she is anything but light. She isn't heavy, she's just fluffy. Her one and only blessing is her voluptuous curves. She had been abandoned as a child, raised in foster care and has no family at all. She has always felt inconsequential and generally overlooked by all, except when her boss, DIrector Warsden of the Norbeach Planetary Collective Training and Transfer Base (whew-what a mouthful) wanted to yell at her which is most of the time. The only reprieve she receives from the Director is in the presence of the Doshan who revere their women and do not approve of anyone being disrespectful to a female, and Earth (or Terra as the aliens call it), need a continued, amicable relationship between Earth and the Doshan since they are now vital to the planet. The Doshans are Earth's connection to the Planetary Collective and the Planetary Collective is the Earth's safety net enabling them to explore deeper into space. (Whew, another mouthful!) Lucky her....Why couldn't she have been Doshan, then maybe she could get some respect and maybe a raise? Hmmm.....No, she was just a plain old temporary secretary, correct that, an executive administrative assistant. Whatever! They wouldn't even make her full time because then they would have to grant her medical benefits and she really needs them about now. She's already late for an important meeting and her boss is going to kill her. Yep, she really needs those medical benefits even more than ever because she just turned the corner and ran into a wall. Nope, not a wall, she's just collided with a huge, towering Doshan male and he is hot, hot, hot! No, no, no, this can't be happening. She's not only late, but she has touched one of the Doshan without a clear invitation and she is in his arms! Oh my! They have their own rules and regulations including no touching - ever! And if that isn't bad enough, she's injured her foot, is bleeding and her boss has just shown up for the party! She knew she shouldn't have taken off her shoes to run to the meeting! Yep, she is so fired! But Joyce is even more shocked at what happens next! The big, bad handsome Doshan alien male refuses to let her go - and then he claims her by Planetary Collective Decree and she is now his property! She belongs to neither Terra nor Dosha but only to him! He what? What the heck? And the next thing she knows, like instantly, she's on his spaceship, the Vehly, and the hot, sexy alien is none other than head honcho in charge, Commander Kede Tria, commander of said spaceship and the most feared warrior in the Doshan military. She has been appropriated - he has stolen, abducted, kidnapped her! Huh? She will just tell him a thing or two and give him a piece of her mind - and that's all she'll be giving him! And there will be no probing of any kind! She is now officially doomed, never to be heard from again! Or is she??? And Commander Kede Tria never lets go what is his and he never, ever shares! Hmm.... Buckle up my lovelies! We have lift off! No spoilers here! I guess you'll just have to read the book to find out what happens but I will say this....Beautiful human heroine who has somewhat of a potty mouth that constantly gets her in trouble and proves to be stronger, braver and more resourceful than she ever imagined possible-check! Handsome alien Commander/Warrior who falls desperately and hopelessly in love with a curvy human woman-check! Fascinating cast of characters-check! Aliens, adventure, danger, drama, suspense, heinous enemies, espionage, evil machinations, betrayal and a possible alien coup-check! Heated attraction, fiery passion, sexy banter, sweet romance, unavoidable angst and some good old fashioned lovin'- you betcha! That and a whole lot more! I absolutely loved it! I can hardly wait to see what sexy sci-fi adventure Erin Tate has in store for us next. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

this on top of everything else (whiny, stupid h; misunderstandings; girl bashing other ambassador, for what i don't know...seemingly she throws about bad attitude to the crew... that's different from the h, how?), this really did annoy me.

some interesting elements.
oh, and virgin hero! yay! unfortunately, the utter stupidity (and the 'f- me' got old and unfunny by the end of the novel) and pervasive crassness (yes, erotica can manage without being completely crass) make this not so great to sit though.
somewhere between 2 and 3 stars. about 3 more pages to go. let's see how much redemption they give to the book. (this was looking at 1.5 about halfway, then things go slightly better, before nosediving, but not to previous depths.)
the main innovativeness this novel shows is of using different expressions with the f word in it. and other swear words. some of the back and forth shouting by the mcs could've been cut down to more bearable lengths or out altogether; wouldn't have made so much of a difference. but then we can't have our worthy H not bellow out at every single point, because then he'll have nothing to do in the entire novel, except act as a sex toy.
i'm being rather harsh, because this novel could have been so much better. the scene near the end with the planetary council for example, reduce the number of time the h thought something inappropriate to/about the Ailone and it would've come off much better. this book had some good elements, but htey were stretched too far for them to remain enjoyable.
arghh!! this was an okay read... and the h was a virgin (even if he was a dickhead most of the novel through)... upping one star. (2star to 3 star)

some interesting elements.
oh, and virgin hero! yay! unfortunately, the utter stupidity (and the 'f- me' got old and unfunny by the end of the novel) and pervasive crassness (yes, erotica can manage without being completely crass) make this not so great to sit though.
somewhere between 2 and 3 stars. about 3 more pages to go. let's see how much redemption they give to the book. (this was looking at 1.5 about halfway, then things go slightly better, before nosediving, but not to previous depths.)
the main innovativeness this novel shows is of using different expressions with the f word in it. and other swear words. some of the back and forth shouting by the mcs could've been cut down to more bearable lengths or out altogether; wouldn't have made so much of a difference. but then we can't have our worthy H not bellow out at every single point, because then he'll have nothing to do in the entire novel, except act as a sex toy.
i'm being rather harsh, because this novel could have been so much better. the scene near the end with the planetary council for example, reduce the number of time the h thought something inappropriate to/about the Ailone and it would've come off much better. this book had some good elements, but htey were stretched too far for them to remain enjoyable.
arghh!! this was an okay read... and the h was a virgin (even if he was a dickhead most of the novel through)... upping one star. (2star to 3 star)

Enjoyable Read
I found this series to be really interesting I love the concept however I did find Joyce's bitchiness to be annoying don't get me wrong I'm all for a sassy heroine who stands up for herself and doesn't take crap from anyone but I feel that she took a little bit overboard. I understand that Kede is your typical alpha male and the whole different species thing didn't help so much plus that he was clueless as well to her Terrans way he saw Joyce and it was love at first sight for him I really didn't see what all the fuss was about it wasn't like her life on Terrans was all that great. I also know that he kidnapped her and took all her choices away his intentions were good he just went about it the wrong way. Even when her life was at stake he was still willing to sacrifice his own life for her knowing of the consequences and even with that she at no point told him thank you for saving her life she just bitched at him. I'm just glad that everything worked out in the end. Overall a great read and I would totally recommend this to anyone who's love alpha males and sassy heroine who curse like a sailor.

A warrior in her own right
I laughed so hard I cried while reading this book. The author put the comic relief in exactly when we needed it, the book flowed smoothly from the extreme moments of tension to the break. The heroine is a little standoffish at times, but it is really because she is so intense and passionate, well and she curses like a sailor. The entire book kept me glued to the story until the very end. I loved the HEA and the only thing that could make it better is if there were more stories about the lead characters.

I quite liked the beginning of this book, with the one word answers and abduction. The MCs had some fun banter and Kede eventually showed he knew how to grovel.
Joyce had some fire, and not in an emotionally stunted way. Kede was very emotionally stunted and became less so.
I was a little annoyed with how overplayed the misunderstanding of the word f*ck was. A few times? Hilarious. 25-50 times? Obnoxious.

LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!!!!! I Seriously NEVER WANTED IT TO E D!!! Please let be more!!!!
The Title says it all!!!! I seriously loved this book, recently I have read soo many books especially sci/if aliens etc. books where either the book ended before the characters were honestly/really done telling their Story or the "story" wasn't very good and the lead characters (at least for me weren't very likable or believable . Like say a couple meeting one night at a bar on a space station,and as the guy is escorting the girl to her place on its outer ring, said station is attacked by hostile aliens, and while they hide in a tube waiting a chance to join with others and attack they have sex multiple times in the tube,finally able to move they attack the enemy guarding the ship they came in,detain the enemy on the ship in a room near the bridge and then proceed to have sex in full view of the captives ( only her naked of course) while their waiting a full 30 minutes to join the battle) WTF right?
I know you have to take a lot things with a grain of salt in sci/if but a trained soldier who's such a horny a exhibitionist he can't wait till the fighting is over to have sex with a woman he'd only met a few hours before?
Sorry I know I digressed it's just I wasted too much money on a book that's was more sex than story...
But this book,this book was a great balance of it all!!
There are soo many times in the beginning I was wanting to strangle Kede or Joyce, her seeming to constantly forget just literal the Doshsns were and say F Me all time or freaking out about "probes" at first, or Kede and the completely backwards and messed up way he started what felt like what shifter books call his " fated mate" relationship... The more you learn about just MUCH he F'ED things up you kill him,yet at the same time between his self awareness of mistakes and total lack of malice even the throes of deep stupidly and selfishness at times,ya still wanna love him coz his heart was mostly in the right place even head mainly wasn't ;)
Especially when you learn of just how deprived the poor sweet,loving Warriors are of the love and support they all need and deeply deserve... To think they live and die to protect their whole planet and others and females in particular and yet as young as the age of 8 all love and comfort and kindness etc. from females ( even their own mothers) is lost the moment the enter warrior training simply because being a Warrior is /can be soo dangerous .... I can't imagine treating our military like that :(
Not only does Joyce end giving Kede the love and mate he soo richly deserve and need she helps fight for warriors rights soo they will have what we all deserve .... Love and a Family ;)
Kede helped himself but ended up helping them all...
I hope and pray this story continues because there is soo much here to work with and enjoy still!!!!

This was a decent alien-sci fi romance. The story flowed well and the characters were enjoyable. There wasn't a lot of depth but it made for a nice simple read. I'm glad it was offered as a kindleunlimited.

Um, I think the story had potential, but the heroine definitely ruined the story for me. Her constant verbal "fuckery" was definitely hurting the story. Also the aliens sure seemed a bit on the naïve dumb side. I felt the whole premise was a bit immature & if it weren't for the sex, I felt it would have been written for high school girls. Definitely not a book I would want to re-read or to follow a series about. I was lucky to even finish the book.

I really, really want more to this story. I think that Joyce is pretty awesome, and between her and Kede, things are going to massively change.

No, on so many levels.
If I wasn’t so nosy and not a quitter, I’d have deleted this from my library with it first 10%. But I kept at it just in case it got better. IT DID NOT.
Joyce was rude, not well spoken and in general annoying. But yet while I strongly disliked her, I really disliked Kede. This was not your typical alien abduction romance. No, this was him kidnapping her and then having things done to her body without her permission. He also would NOT SPEAK about what he did, why or what her rights/options were. Had this taken place away from Earth with no way back etc then that might have been slightly less frustrating,but in this case it was horribly irritating. He just simply tried to keep her shut up. And they had been working with earth, but Kede still remained utterly CLUELESS to interacting with her. And when he had her sedated....omg!!! Of course she’s upset because you kid napped her and won’t explain anything. So his answer was to knock her out to get a handle on her. Wtf.
He took away ALL of her freedom and choices. Then he lies and withholds info. But he can’t understand why she just won’t submit.
The entire say roughly up to 60-70% of the book was anxiety inducing for the reader and beyond frustrating. I was getting so mad how she was rude in her speech and he wouldn’t just shut up with rambling and answer her questions.
He also had her converted to his race, YES, “transitioned” without her consent! It completely transformed her looks and she was extremely upset about her eyes. All to please his wants. But yet earth humans were so close in DNA I don’t know WHY these men thought that she must be converted. She also had an IUD that somehow mysteriously kept her from immediately going into a coming of age heat cycle that the alien race goes into when they turn 25. Mind you she is about 30. But the medic apparently told her that her IUD was keeping her from experiencing this heat cycle until it was removed. This apparently saved her from immediately having to have sex and bond with the Kede guy who stole her. But yet at the end of the book she has to remove it to prove apparently to this races council that she is now Doshan by taking it out and immediately falling into a heat cycle. Which of course she goes through with Kede and what do you know, she gets pregnant! The whole point of the iud was to prevent that, but she has it taken out in the medical ward FILLED WITH WARRIORS, that could hear everything that was sad and noises made, but it wasn’t addressed if they could also see it removed? Another WTF moment.
And she just breezes over finding out she’s pregnant and of course the Kede guy is excited. And all of a sudden she’s just onboard with him, forgiving him, doesn’t care she’s an alien or pregnant now it’s just all cool with her
But then when the Warriors vote her as their representative she tries to refuse to this other major alien leader of the collective. HOW RUDE. She basically insults and hurts every Warriors feelings by doing this when they tried to honor her.
This book had so much wrong with it.
The sex scene wasn’t even good descriptive wise. And worse that she had to do it because she went immediately into heat once that IUD came out. So basically him changing her still allowed him to kinda sorta take her against her will because she had no choice then. All his planning and kidnapping worked well for him.

Love mystery adventure &chocolate what more could you want
This was a delightful book. I'm glad I picked it up. It had drama, love, mystery some action a bit of everything really. The story and it characters were well developed without being overly complicated. Now I like new and intricate world building as much as the next person but with some stories I have to really concentrate to understand it all. Here it was kept interesting with out adding to many complicated layers. Kede and Joyce love them even if I got a little frustrated at times it was all good overall. I would love to see more about them in particular and what the future may hold for them and all doshans and terrans. Resane had to be my favourite secondary character and I would love to learn more about him maybe even give him his own story. I could go on and on about how I loved this story and would love to see more! That being said if you like space opera, space adventure, aliens, futuristic, adventure or even just a story about love overcoming all this Books for you give it a chance you won't be disappointed.

This series made me an Erin Tate fan! I loved the world that was presented to us, learning about the Doshans, and even the secrets of eye colors. I loved this fun series. Joyce is your run of the mill secretary when she runs into one of the Doshans. The next thing she knows her world is upside down and she’s an ambassador. After the chocolate hits the fan, everything that Joyce knows changes for her. Everything also changed for Kede, the Doshan commander of the Vehly ship that claimed her as the ambassador.
Not everyone is happy with the Doshans and the Terrans having diplomatic relations and from the start there is politics, danger and intrigue. There is some language and cultural hurdles that make life on the ship interesting to say the least for everyone. Joyce is full of sass and attitude and Kede is possessive and alpha for Joyce wanting to give her the galaxy. I was surprised at the way everything wrapped up. The council wasn’t happy with Joyce, the warriors believed in Joyce and make a stand for themselves. And Joyce, well sometimes, you have to be a bitch for the right reasons. This was an excellent story.

This book was not what I expected it to be. It was better! I have never read this author's works. I took a chance and am glad I did. I often read a book by it's cover. (Yes. Shame on me. I know). But, I decided to look past what seemed like a "typical" steamy read and downloaded it to my Kindle. Admittedly, Kede is a too perfect sexy-sweet-delectable-what every woman wants between the sheets kind of alien. What's wrong with that you say? Well, that can sometimes be like eating too much candy...just overly sickening sweet. But, I fell in love with Kede right along with Joyce. And I know that as a reader you probably will too! I LOVE how strong Joyce is! And how Kede is fierce, yet willing to want to bend and understand this woman he has so hastily "claimed". What seemed to start as a tale that jumps right into a steamy sex romp, is actually a sweet romance that builds over time. And Joyce becomes such a champion. I loved her character!!! Will definitely try more of this author's works.

I loved this book! No two ways about it; I laughed out loud, I felt....well everything. What a story!
Okay, first off, I am not an English teacher. Correct punctuation or use of verbs is sooo not me. I read because I love books. Period. Like most of us, reading for me is a mini vacation from my daily reality.
Okay, now why I loved this story: 1) original story/plot, 2) unique characters (so totally!), 3) Ms. Tate made the main & supporting cast totally real, so as a reader, I cared for them, a lot, and finally, 4) it was friggin hilarious!
Enough said. It was fun, funny, serious, not so serious, and just plain entertaining. I will be keeping this book handy for days when I need some of the medicine it provides. Oh, and I will be recommending this book to everyone, including my daughter. So there; you have been warned!

There is much to love about this book. It was full of twists some predictable others not. The story flowed smoothly and the characters were well rounded. Joyce is a strong woman with more than a little attitude and a tendency to speak her mind. This tends to get her into trouble because of the cultural differences and language barrier. When you have two people with such strong personalities come together you either have a war or fireworks. In this case, the fireworks were hot. Joyce has a bull's-eye on her back. Her clumsiness and people's prejudices propel her from disaster to another. Kede(the commander)seems to spend most of his time torn between trying to understand and protect Joyce.
The book was one I didn't wanted to put down. It is a great start to a series and I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

The art of compromise and the poison of intolerance
Ms Tate was able to demonstrate the art of compromise on so many levels in this series. Compromise between men and women, between social strata, between governments. She also highlighted the poison that is intolerance, whether it be intentional, cultural, or through ignorance. Though the rhetoric and banter at times are irreverent to say the least, the underlying strengths in her characters and in the messages she conveys (compromise, intolerance) surprised me in their depths. Classic literature? Maybe not, but a morality play nonetheless.

Kidnapped and turned into an alien
Holy Moly, I adored this book. How often have you wished your dull life could take on new meaning and have the adventure of your life? Have you ever considered what it would be like to become a slave, even though you desired your master before you realized you were a slave taken to an alien spacecraft? That is the plot of this story. This book is very well written as usual by Erin Tate. Truthfully, I have not read one of her books, or her other writing name of Celia Kyle that hasn't been really good. Kudos for entertainment in the stroke of her pen.

Fantastic Book
Alien warriors, human woman, human and alien politics, betrayal, murder, and misunderstandings. I loved the storyline. Commander Trea confiscated a human woman. He was on Terra (a future version of Earth) to choose a new human ambassador to the Doshan warship. He chose, but not from the pool of Terran accepted applicants. Smart man. But the human female he chose is now in serious danger. Earth and Doshan politicians are up in arms. And treachery is around every hallway of the Doshan ship. I just loved, loved, loved the ending! I hope this will become a series.

He was on Terra (a future version of Earth) to choose a new human ambassador to the Doshan warship. He chose, but not from the pool of Terran accepted applicants. Smart man. But the human female he chose is now in serious danger. Earth and Doshan politicians are up in arms. And treachery is around every hallway of the Doshan ship. I just loved, loved, loved the ending! I hope this will become a series.

This heroine is giving Bella Swan a run for her money in the obstreperous category of leads that are TSTL. Not sure why I am still reading to be honest, this is not very good. There are lots of much more entertaining stuff, even by this author. I think they were trying a snarky sassy heroine and overshot it by a lot.

Hi guys.
I'm going to jump right into the review. I don't have any Giffs to post. Just my simple honest review.
Erin Tate / Celia Kyle did an amazing job of filling the two main characters with substance and clear attraction for one another. She expertly tells the story switching between his and her point of view. I felt a sense of danger in the start of this story. I must warn you though if you're expecting pages filled with sex,sex,and sex. YOUR NOT GOING TO GET IT. I Believe sex did not occur until after chapter 15. ( 9 hours into audible) when the sex does happen.. it was a little luke warm for me, as he was a virgin. ( i appreciate the buildup of sex.. but this seemed excessive.. and when it did happen it was wayyy too sudden ). It felt like it was sex for necessity rather than love or insatiable lust ..... Also if i'm being honest, the sex didn't happen until after her life and legitimacy of being transformed into Doshan was questioned. To sate plainly ,it irritated me .He treated her with nothing but respect and love. NO he did not take her on good terms.. but he had good intentions. He would never harm her and was clear on that the Entire time. Even knowing this, she still cursed at him constantly. Throughout the book the narrative started to become "he kidnapped me" but ***spoiler*** when she first met him she pressed the button on his chest that materialized them onto the ship. (she knew to some capacity what that action would cause, he didn't refuse to put her down or let her go. she pressed the button, he didn't force her. he simply asked and she pressed it on a whim......) I love that she was a plus size character ( that's what kept me reading the book.. the first few sentences got me laughing ...)
she didn't celebrate her curves the way i would have wanted her to. Kede the commander did however i was hopping to see more passion and love between the characters . she was a little rough around the edges and didn't have a spark that would have drawn me into her personality. By the way the author wrote I could tell that she was a little older without having to do much research about her. i loved her imagination. I wouldn't discourage someone from reading this.
