Deceit, murder, and gibberish speaking gnomes? Aww yeah!
Get ready, it’s a deadly game of shadows and you have front row seats to the insanity.
A misfit team unites to go after the very worst on their hit list; and no, we’re not talking about house elves here.
She has fighting skills as lethal as her looks (and if we’re being honest, she’s kind of a jerk); he’s a former city inspector turned drunken mess. Together, with a wizard hell-bent on vengeance - because who doesn’t like a good revenge story - they’ll kill their way to the answers.
I'm Jonathan, a husband, father, and writer. I write because that's what I was born to do and I love doing it. Because of the support from awesome people like you, I get to do it full-time.
It took me 4 days to read this entire collection, but I can't just read all the time, now can I? I can only read about 5 to 6 hours a day. There are other things I must do. But these books got me hooked and I kept going back to them every chance I could. This author is a little different from most. He doesn't use outlines he just sits down and writes the book. He is a great storyteller and I will read more of his work. I was sorry to reach the end because I luved the characters and the storyline and there will be no more books in the series. Highly recommended.
The story was good. My only complaint with the writing style was that too many chapters ended with something like ‘If she knew what would happen next she would have stayed instead.’ Once or twice, maybe, but I stopped counting after six. My other complaint is that the books really need editing. There are too many word substitutions and words missed out, not to mention misspelling and incorrect grammar. There are even instances of names being swapped. It is unprofessional, and just makes it hard to enjoy the story. Which is quite entertaining!
Although this series was packed full of all the cool things you’d expect in a vampire/warewolf story, it left me with mixed feelings. A little more PG-13. Plus story one took a long time to start. I was also disappointed with the bang of an ending. I was hoping for a bit more of a resolution after the climax. But it was still an enjoyable read, even if it left me feeling a bit mixed when it was all said and done.
This is one of my most favorite series. I love this author! No matter what genre he writes, you know you’re going to get an exciting adventure. I loved one of the main characters in this one who could turn into a werewolf. The vampires were unique and not so friendly. My favorite was Kimberly, the gargoyle. Make sure you have plenty of time when you start because you won’t want to put it down.
I've really enjoyed reading this series! What fun characters... Especially Elwood. I'll miss him. As I was reading this series, I thought Jonathan might be a good fit for Michael Anderle's KGU series. Then I saw something named Anderle, and that Jon was writing with Jason Sloan. Really good books! Thanks, Jonathan!!!!
I really enjoyed the series. But I was a little confused about the timeline of what era this was supposed to be happening in. Especially when terms like "juice box" and catchers mask were used in th stories
Loved it, want to re-read it because I really do love it. The supernatural world meets steampunk meets a fantastically well written series. Vampires, werewolves, gargoyles, shifters, magic, romance and adventure. An addictive series that leaves you wanting more.
This was a great story from beginning to end. A unique take on vampires and werewolves. A great troop of characters that got developed along the way. I really liked this series and can't wait to read his others.
