I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

If you could bring your love one back to life, would you do it? No matter what the cost?

Eben, a tech billionaire, lost his fiancé in a fatal car accident. He is shattered and just going through the motions of life. One day, Bess, a friend from his past, corners him in a restaurant and offers him a chance to bring his beloved fiancé back to life but there is a catch.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel. I loved all the characters, especially Sam the talking dog. Much of the novel takes place in Astoria, Oregon and the author’s ability to paint the world with words makes it easy to imagine yourself there. Beyond the characters and locations, what really stands out is the moral dilemma that the characters face, especially Eben & Bess. Do you let your grief rationalize your actions or do you find a way to see through fog and realize that the stakes are too high? I think this would make for an interesting book club discussion

This book is definitely on my “must recommend” list to friends.
