Explore the many dimensions of awakened consciousness under the guidance of respected spiritual teacher Adyashanti
What does “awakening” mean to you? Perhaps it's about disconnecting from day-to-day concerns and living apart from the stresses of the world. Maybe you think awakening is about achieving an expanded, intuitive awareness of unseen realities. Or maybe it involves transcending suffering and never experiencing anything painful ever again.
For Adyashanti, “Awakening has everything to do with identity—with dislodging misplaced identity and letting your true identity arise on its own.” It's about understanding how you are connected with the rest of existence.
Adya (as his students call him) has been teaching about awakening for more than 20 years, and has seen that no two people experience it the same way. However, there are many practices that will help you onto the path. In The 30-Day Wake Up Challenge, this renowned spiritual explorer presents a new, in-depth course that collects these practices in a month-long journey.
Over the course of 30 days, you will investigate:
· How to establish anchors from which you can explore the distinct but interconnected dimensions of awakening · Insights on awakening and unity from the world’s great spiritual traditions · Awareness of the pure consciousness underlying all of your experiences · The innate connection and compassion of the Spiritual Heart · Realizing the infinite potential of the fundamental ground of Being · Practices for embodying the wisdom and insight of awakened awareness in your daily life
With The 30-Day Wake Up Challenge, you will learn that when you wake up from the dream of your assumptions, you will discover who you really are—an entire universe of insight, joy, and boundless love.
Adyashanti is an American spiritual teacher from the San Francisco Bay Area who gives regular satsangs in the United States and also teaches abroad. He is the author of several books, CDs and DVDs and is the founder of Open Gate Sangha, Inc. a nonprofit organization that supports, and makes available, his teachings.
Adyanshanti guides the reader through guided considerations once a day for thirty days to point out the dimensions of the awakened viewpoint. The reader, through hearing and internalizing the considerations, can find the viewpoint for him or herself.
An excellent book. Goes right to the hear of seeing the freedom of awakening. This book spontaneously appeared to me in a search and after listening to it the awakened viewpoint became clear. It seemed toward the tail end of the process in the last week there was some modification of the basic vewpoint that asked the reader to intentionally move attention, but that can be forgiven for the straightforward clarity of the whole work. Very usable and useful.
Simple practices to bring more calm and peace into your life. I enjoyed it.
Here are some ideas from audio: - Practice the desire of understanding before the desire to be understood - Notice your relationship to current events or feelings. (your relationship to anger) and how you can pivot to peace - Notice that your spiritual heart is always open - Tap into ground of being by deep breathing into lower belly. Invite the unknown to be known. - Choose love over fear - Let be and Let go - Enlightenment can be seen as unwavering courage - takes courage to live an awakened, enlighted life.
Good collection of direct pointing-out instructions offered from a gentle and amiable master. Helpful adjunct to an awareness practice. Recommend if you’re interested in contemplative practices.
I enjoyed the 30-day Wake Up Challenge immensely and how it explored the aspects of being in a practical and grounded way. I would recommend anyone to have a go!
