Our love has become poison and it's killing us slowly.

I hate how I can't control myself around him. I hate how I always forgive him. I hate that he consumes me. Because Alexander is in my blood. His heart beats in my chest.
He owns me.

But I can't see past his betrayal and his lies. Not this time. I don't know if our love can survive this, because I'm not the girl that fell in love with him anymore. I'm a queen and everyone, even him, will bow to me.

Every family has its secrets. The Royals more than most. The next seductive chapter in the Royal World is hotter, darker, and wilder than ever. You think you know this story? Think again.

In the first book, Cross Me, it became clear Alexander and Cara are still learning how to navigate a new marriage while being constrained by the throne, and all the people working against them. The last thing they needed was keeping secrets from each other. This was something Alexander needed to learn the hard way and Claim Me showed he finally saw that. Unfortunately Clara still needs to learn this lesson.

I'm frustrated that Clara is still keeping a secret no matter what her reasons are. These two are finally getting solid and that secret threatens it after how much she made his secret keeping a big deal. Despite that, their story is completely consuming me. I absolutely love how much these two love each other. Alexander would literally die for her.

There is dissension between the Monarchy and the Parliament and it seems to be escalating. It's been escalating since before Claim Me and I can't wait to see what Alexander will do to protect his family. This ends on an even bigger cliffhanger. I need to know what happens next!!!

ARC provided by Wildfire Marketing Solutions

I had to take stars away for two reasons.

1. The pace of the story.
It was slow & repetitive up to 27%
2. A lot of editing errors.
There were just a few in the beginning. As the story progressed they became more frequent.
Mostly they are words in the wrong place. Some were incorrect words.

After the 27% mark the story took off like a rocket. 🚀
The mystery of who is behind the conspiracy continues.
There is suspense and intrigue on nearly every other page.

The adult romance between X & Clara is so hot & steamy it nearly melted my kindle!
They are great characters and I loved reading about their relationship.
How they are both muturing. Clara is definitely becoming a Queen to be reckoned with.

The other characters are well written and so easy to connect with.

Definitely a great Saga and I can't wait to get my hands on Consume Me.

This one ends on a 'Whopper' of a cliffhanger!
I don't normally read books that are 'To Be Continued', but these are to good to not eat up like candy.
The cliffhanger is about the

Geneva Lee never disappoints with this series and Wicked Queen proves that point with many exclamation points! For those of us who have followed Alexander and Clara from the very beginning, I feel like Wicked Queen is the game changer. X is so used to Clara falling in line with him, even while fighting him, that he's really not prepared when she puts her royal foot down. As Norris would say, X's form of communication with Clara is physical and in this book, it becomes very clear that these two need to start using their words to figure everyone out (because their life if a royal sh*t show).

Prepare yourself, this one ends with one hell of a WTF moment. Speculation will abound. I still don't think I've fully recovered from everything that happened here. But I can tell you this. I'm anxiously awaiting what happens next.

More to them that you don’t want to miss out on.

The more I delve into Alexander and Clara the more I can’t get enough of them, and the more they surprise you with their daily lives of drama but comes the test of love, responsibilities, trust, loyalty, secrets and tragedy, which I’m still trying to wrap the cliffhanger around my head.

Hi ForeverBookers,

How are you all today? Hope you’re well! It’s very hot, where I am in the world!

I’ve just finished “Wicked Queen”/“Claim Me,” Royals World book 2 by Geneva Lee and I really enjoyed it.

3.5 Stars!

Cardcaptor-a-thon - The Sleep - Where a character has a tiring job - In the anime Cardcaptor Sakura, Fujitaka, Sakura’s Dad (Aidan in the 90’s dub) is a university professor. The Sleep Card sends him and his colleagues to sleep...In “Wicked Queen”/“Claim Me,” Alexander and Clara are King and Queen of England, which is about the most tiring real life job I can think of. Especially pregnant as Clara is.

Reading Rivalry - A book with less than 5000 ratings on Goodreads - “Wicked Queen” or “Claim Me,” as it’s known on Goodreads has 203 ratings on Goodreads, which is less than 5000.

Fiction Feud Society - for 15 points - author birthplace or residence - Geneva Lee is from North America (USA).

Book Junky Trials - Queendom Stone - Read a book featuring Royalty - “Wicked Queen”/“Claim Me” does this in spades as it’s about Clara learning her place in the Royal order.

“Wicked Queen”/“Claim Me” is book 2 in the Royals World trilogy, which is meant to be read after the Royals series by the same author, as it’s a progression of that series. We follow Clara, who got pregnant with the second royal baby in “Wild King”/“Cross Me” and is still pregnant in book 2 have to deal with the fallouts and drama of Royal life. Secrets get revealed and the tagline for the book is “Every family has its secrets,” which is true, certainly in this case. We have to watch the characters deal with these secrets, and it’s addictive. I think that’s the best word to describe this series.

“Wicked Queen”/“Claim Me,” like “Wild King”/“Cross Me” (book 1 in the Royals World series) is told in dual POV. Both Clara and Alexander’s POV’s are in the book, unlike in the Royals series, which only had Clara’s POV. One person who’s been brought up in the Royals World and so knows what to expect, Alexander, as well as someone who doesn’t know what to expect, Clara. This made the novel interesting because we could see from both sides. Can Alexander and Clara learn to come together to make decisions? You’ll need to read to find out!

The Royals books are ALL ADULT reads, due to the sex scenes and grown up themes discussed. There’s also BDSM in “Wicked Queen”/”Claim Me.”

Spoilers Below

The novel starts with Clara and Alexander cross at each other after the reveal of the mystery character from “Wild King”/“Cross Me.” Clara thinks that Alexander doesn’t trust her with his secrets, which as King of England he has lots of.

“I would have laughed if I’d had it in me. Another lie. It was getting harder to decide which I hated more, the lies or the secrets, although it didn’t seem like there was much difference between the two.”

is what Clara says to herself as soon as she finds out about the secret/lie that Alexander has kept from her. The secret person is indeed, Alexander’s sister, Sarah. She was drugged when she was 16. Clara knew none of this before this novel. Sarah lost out on ten years of her life because she was in a coma so she’s missed out on lots of her young life, meaning she’s angry and annoyed. Does she take it out on the right people, though? Or is it the wrong people she takes it out on? You’ll have to read to find out. This is a lot of this book, which I didn’t mind. There was a lot of Sarah drama as she settles back into life as a Royal. I laughed at a lot of these sections. Sarah is a bitch when she comes into the story. She thinks that she should be Queen, I think, which of course won’t happen. She acts very spoilt, as is seen in,

“It’s fine. Not like I’ll stay. I’m old now. Don’t you have to gift me a house or something.” The word “gift” denotes her as spoilt, as she thinks that just because she’s a part of the royal family and has missed out on years of her life, due to a bad decision on her part that everyone else should make up for it. It was HER fault, her choices, no one else’s. This is what Alexander tries to get through to her throughout the novel. Sarah has friends from when she was 16. One of those being a character from previous books, Pepper. Pepper is nasty and spiteful. She thinks that because her life didn’t turn out the way she expected that no one else deserves a happy future.

“She hadn’t been born to be a royal. She’d been born a queen,” is what Alexander thinks of Clara, whom he loves beyond all else. He just wants to protect her and his family. This novel isn’t really about Alexander, though. He’s very much on the outskirts.

In “Wicked Queen”/”Claim Me” Clara keeps a secret from Alexander about the baby she’s carrying. Will everything work out okay for him/her. She tells Belle, her best friend, who’s also pregnant and offers her council. You’ll need to read to find out what happens...

“I hate days like this, where I’m too busy being Queen to be a mother. It makes me feel guilty,” is what Clara thinks when she doesn’t feel like she can be a mother to Elizabeth, her firstborn with Alexander, as well as the Queen of England. Clara is the kind of heroine that I love reading from because she’s clearly grown from Command Me, where she was an American who didn’t know much about or even care much about the English monarchy, to now still being an American but one who has to learn to embrace life as a Queen. “Wicked Queen”/“Claim Me” is as much about Clara learning how to be Queen as it’s about Sarah realising that she won’t be Queen. I think the first title of this book, just“Wicked Queen” comes from Clara learning that she has to be at least a little strict or wicked to be the Queen that England and the wife/sister/mother her family deserves, as well as perhaps the BDSM elements that are brought into the latter part of the novel.

In “Wicked Queen/“Claim Me” there aren’t really any issues that arise between Alexander and Anders, his brother that we meet in “Wild King”/“Cross Me,” that there were in the that novel. There are a few little bumps but nothing to take away from Clara. She’s really the driving force of ”Wicked Queen”/“Claim Me,” where Alexander was in “Wild King”/“Cross Me.” I enjoyed the novel being focused on Clara and her role of becoming Queen.

There are “Twilight” references when Sarah first comes to stay at Buckingham Palace. She was part way through reading “Twilight” when she was drugged. Her room hadn’t been touched in the time since then so everything was left the same. Sarah asks Clara, “does she end up with the vampire or the werewolf?” meaning Bella, the heroine of “Twilight.” I liked how “Twilight” was referenced as it was incredibly popular when it was released. This just shows the gap of time that has elapsed since Sarah’s accident.

There is a cliffhanger ending at the end of “Wicked Queen”/“Claim Me” that I of course won’t spoil but I’m excited to read the third and I think final book in the Royals World series. Overall I enjoyed “Wicked Queen”/”Claim me.” I didn’t think it was the best in the Royals series but it was more about character growth than the plot, I believe. We ultimately see Clara become who she’s meant to be and as I said above, I’m excited to see what will happen in the last book...

Stand by for my next review coming soon...

Through much of Alexander and Clara’s story, readers have witnessed X’s domineering demeanor, both as a royal and as a man; we’ve watched this dark and dominating alpha male kneel in front of the love of his life, asking her to be his…to bring light to his world…to show her that it’s possible for him to have it all, even if he didn’t deserve it. And while these two have definitely had their trials and tribulations, the one aspect of their lives that has always remained is their undying love for each other…the devotion they feel towards one another, but with the secrets and lies that Alexander seems to still be hiding, as Claim Me begins, it’s unclear whether they will make it through this new hurdle unscathed, especially given the fact of what is happening to their family and what’s at stake for their marriage, their family, and their kingdom.

X and Clara have always communicated best with their bodies and mouths, not using them for holding conversations, but for pleasing one another, bringing each other to orgasm, teasing each other and thoroughly fucking one another to the point of exhaustion. But while they’ve always been able to work things out between the sheets, that doesn’t seem to be the case any longer. There’s been too many lies…too many secrets…too many conversations left unsaid, and that is not only problematic for their marriage but for their positions as King and Queen, and if these two don’t figure out a way to communicate with words, openly and honestly, those rising up against them…those who threaten to destroy so much more than their marriage will acquire the upper hand and upend everything Alexander and Clara have endured in order to get to this point in their lives.

In Claim Me, Clara becomes a woman to be reckoned with, which, in my opinion, is about damn time! I know how much she loves X and how much giving up control to him gets her off, but there have been too many promises made to her that he doesn’t seem capable to deliver on, and he needs to understand that, that is unacceptable. He can’t constantly let her down and think that there aren’t repercussions to his behavior. Does she go about things the right way all the time? Absolutely not…but she’s in quite the precarious position and there’s a delicate line to walk, and in the simplest terms, she’s a human being - one whose title makes things difficult for her, forcing her to wear a mask, but it’s a facade that can’t help but slip at times, which proves that even queens make mistakes and lash out when they shouldn’t but that just means they love hard and demand what they deserve from a partner.

Even though X and Clara struggled in Claim Me to remember that they are stronger together, happier together, when it truly matters, their love shines through and remains steadfast despite the disasters they’ve had to deal with and the upheaval of their lives due to an unexpected new resident in their home. But this king and his queen are nowhere clear of the drama, the threats, or the chaos that surround them, and with where they end up at the end of this book, there’s no telling what these two will do to protect the throne, their family, but most importantly, each other.

Geneva Lee just makes the torture worse with each book in Royal Saga. My heart literally can't take it anymore. The sensational, intriguing and sensual story of Alexander and Clara has captured my heart and soul.

I don't know where to begin with this story. Each time I feel I have a grip on what is happening in the story, the author gives it another twist and I never see them coming. I love Alexander's over possessive, dominating and confident personality wrapped in royal finesse and grace. He hides his darkness and rage but it comes out time to time. And Clara is just an amazing woman. Life keeps throwing punches but she never backs down. She is really the queen not only by title but by her personality. She handles the chaos of royal life with grace and strength but her character gets real each time she breaks down. Their connection is simply magical. Their love is going through the most difficult times. I love the raw passion, intense emotions and erotic sensuality in their relation. Their trust and love run deep and creates a barrier against the conspiring world.

I have become obsessed with Geneva Lee's writing. She is making me crazy with all the cliffhangers. I could not put it down and devoured it like it's my last read on earth. This is exceptional brilliance. I am craving from more while my heart is dying from all the angst, heartbreak and secrets.

Wicked Queen surpassed my expectations! It is a story full of secrets and revelations, despair and hope, tears and laughter, and wicked hotness and chills! This is Geneva Lee’s best work yet! I was riveted from the first page, which started where Wild King left off. I did not want this book to end!

I am so invested in X and Clara. Everything they feel, I swear I feel it pounding in my chest. And that one chapter? I sobbed and sobbed even as I held my breath, if that’s possible. Gah, just thinking about it makes me tear up, and I’m not a crier! Geneva, you broke my heart with that chapter, and I am counting on you to keep it from shattering! Their love is so strong but every time they fail to communicate, I want to strangle them both! Ugh! I love them both so much! And the heat! Whew! Keep turning it up!

The small twist in the family dynamic was one I was counting on. They need that to strengthen themselves. I have high hopes for it. Very high hopes. Hint hint, Geneva! Please? I beg you!

Okay now that cliffhanger. I KNEW you were gonna take my breath away at the end. I KNEW IT! Please let the time fly by. I need the next book like yesterday! I LOVED Wicked Queen so much that I’ve read it six times already. I can’t stop.

I probably shouldn't even be attempting to write a review right now because my mind is BLOWN!
Wicked Queen was a wild ride through secrets, family, bonding, friendships, intrigue, passion filled moments and royal drama.
I wanted to throttle Alexander and Clara for their inability or unwillingness to communicate anywhere besides between the sheets. Don't get me wrong they are delicious in (and out of) the sheets -- but TALK to the one you love! Trust them with your thoughts and secrets, not just your heart! I am so fearful that they will learn this lesson too late :( Unfortunately, we all know that communication is an issue for so many more than just the King and Queen. I appreciate that Geneva Lee didn't just paint a rosy picture and let their be drama inside and outside the relationships.
The secrets that come to light in Wicked Queen are game changers and I can't wait to see how they affect everyone as we move forward.
The ending though... AHHHHHHHHH! I am screaming! WTF just happened? My mind is going all over the place! Bring on the next book because I cannot wait to jump back into the royal world and see what on earth is going on!

What an emotional rollercoaster. This book picks up where Wild King left us. So you need to read book one before you read this one.

I was an emotional mess even before chapter 3. I don't know how much more my heart can take when it comes to these characters. I just want to reach through the pages and wrap them in my arms and protect them. And yell ENOUGH!!!!!!!

Secrets are revealed. Will they finally destroy the Royal family? Or will they make them stronger?

Watch out X. I think you finally met your match. The Queen has finally spoken!!!!

I loved Clara in this book. She is finally finding her voice and her true strength. This book will have you on the edge of your seat, flipping pages. It was intense and so sexy. Just FYI there is a big cliffhanger at the end. And I can't wait to see what happens next.

Ok wow talk about a cliffhanger. Geneva once again brought us into the world of the royals. I absolutely love X and Clara. I thought the last books cliffhanger was crazy but this one. I’m on the edge of my seat and have to wait impatiently for the next book. This book starts off where the last ended. It takes several chapters before we find out who was in the bed. I had my suspicions and was definitely one of the two I was thinking. Of course Clara is upset because once again X was keeping secrets, seriously the man never learns. Granted we find out she eventually is keeping a huge secret from X. So really apparently neither learn from past mistakes. Throughout the book they are trying to put out fires or scandal and figure out who is targeting the royals. Then we get that ending, it’s killing me but I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait for the next one.

*I received a free copy of Claim Me. This has in no way influenced my review which is honest and unbiased.*

Claim Me started right where Cross Me ended. And while Alexander and Clara did grow quite a bit in this installment, they also both kept things from each other. The suspense and political intrigue was more present - and more urgent in this story, too.
I loved how the relationship between Alexander and Clara evolved - they were able to see past themselves and really talk to each other - and that was much needed.
The cliffhanger has me panting, though. And I really, really need the next story right now!

Clara and Alexander's marriage has reached a breaking point. Secrets and more secrets! Alexander has to work on his communication skills. He is arrogant and continues to think just because he makes the final decisions he does not have to share process with anyone.

Clara is tired of feeling left out. Their marriage was based on trust - physical and emotional. The physical part was never a problem or so she thought. But finding out this last secret she could not stop from punishing X. Separate bedrooms!

As her pregnancy continues, the amount of stress and additional difficulties continues to burden Clara. She feels she cannot talk to X and so she turns to her best friends Belle and Edward. They are willing to support her and share the burdens.

Be prepared for the cliffhanger of all times at the end of this book. Never has Clara been in so much trouble.

I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.

fiiiiieser Cliffhanger

“Don’t,” she murmured, her voice thick with sleep even though her eyes clenched shut a bit too tightly. I yanked my hand back like she’d bitten me. I couldn’t blame her for saying no, but this time, unlike so many others, she meant it fully.”

Where do I even start? Every time I think I know what’s happening in the story, Geneva Lee gives it another twist and I simply don’t see it coming. Claim Me will have you on the edge of your seat. Clara and Alexander are going through a difficult time. I love Clara, I truly do and I think she’s finding her voice, but oh my god did she frustrate me. I couldn’t help but wonder why she simply couldn’t talk to X instead of keeping the secret. Ugh. Anyway, I’ll stop there because I don’t want to say too much.

Overall, Claim Me is a sensual, intriguing, passionate romance full of twists and turns, secrets, revelations and hot scenes. Clara and X ’s chemistry is scorching hot and even if I desperately NEED more scenes with Elizabeth I am loving their story. Also, the cliffhangers are making me insane. I can’t wait for Consume Me.
I recommend this book.

Was sich vielleicht vernichtend anhört bzw. liest,

Well I did something that I never do, as soon as I finished Wild King I one clicked Wicked Queen and I started it straight away, it takes a lot for me to keep reading the same series, most of the time I have to read a book in between but with the cliffhanger we were left I just had to know the big secret.

Well this book starts off from where we finished off form Wild King and bam we got straight into the story and I did not want to put this down.

I don’t want to say too much as I can’t give anything away as I think if you are a fan of this series you need to go in blind.

We get a storyline where you think you know what’s going to happen but as soon as I got to the end I couldn’t believe it. I had a feeling something would happen but I never excepted what we got, I know this is vague but we got a story of Clara and Alexander finding each other again and coming to terms with the biggest secret, I thought ok this is cool and maybe the story and drama would end with Clara having their second baby but I was so completely wrong.

I was so wrong that we were left with another cliffhanger and I am hanging for the second book and I can’t believe I have to wait for the next one, but it will so be worth wait and for what has happened to Clara I can’t wait to find out what the hell is going on.

Loved Wicked Queen and this series is becoming just a good as the first 3 books. If you have read the other books this is another must.

Klappentext:

====================

Mein Fazit:

Clara has a secret of her own. And yet she can´t forgive Alexander and keeps her secure distance. But being a queen and mother doesn´t make life easier. And when Alexander´s younger sister moves back into the palace, her life again changes. And Alexander shows that he is not willing to be the king parliament wants him to be. And when an old enemy is back in the game, Clara and Alexander need more than ever someone they can trust.

This novel is, thank God, not as sappy as the other one had been. Here, Alexander and Clara find back to the passionate way they enjoy with each other and Geneva Lee shows how Clara starts to finally accept Alexander´s real nature. That turn gives the novel a wonderful erotic twist and some tension. Positive tension and negative. In a good way.

I was surprised to see some unexpected twists and turns and the cliffhanger at the end shocked me. Didn´t expect that to happen. It seems as if the two main figures can´t have a bit of happiness. All those happy scenes are combined with a bad one where all hell breaks loose. I think we´ll never find out how the cake tasted …

The author demands a lot from her figures. There is so much pain, sadness, despair, and hate in this story but also some sort of twisted family happiness.

Clara is not the kind of queen people think of when they think about this status. She´s unconventional, does things her own way, and yet doesn´t feel part of the world she lives in. What keeps her where she is, is her love for Alexander. He´s the one she wants, the one she desires, and the one she knows he can´t survive without her. In an emotional way.

This was quite a surprise. And with that cliffhanger – Geneva Lee how can you do that to your readers?! For all those, who know the author and this saga, this is a must-read. Guess my next book shopping trip is in order.

X and Clara Forever!!!!

For a good portion of the time I was reading this book I thought "Enough already!" The king and queen seemed to careen from tragedy to blow-up to secret with no time to breathe. And that meant not being able to enjoy the wonderfulness that happens when these two are happy together. Even the sexytimes were filled with anger and angst. But about halfway through something shifted and all the many and disparate problems seemed to begin to weave together. We don't have any of the answers yet, but we can begin to see a theme. What is really happening here is beginning to reveal itself. As the book ends, we are left with a terrific cliffhanger, and one hopes, a promise that all will be resolved in HARD REIGN. (I must comment that I really hope we have not seen the last of a charcter I have adored since COMMAND ME way back when.) Must say, I wish we didn't have to wait two months.

All my favorite characters, the ones I love and the ones I love to hate, are back and have found their voices again. Belle and Edward were especially fun. Ms. Lee also introduces a new player, bound to be important going forward. Not incidentally, many of the supporting cast are primed for their own stories. Please!!!!!

Anyway, after being somewhat disappointed by WILD KING, I am very relieved that this book was almost everything I expect from this author. X has long been one of my Top 5 BBF's. So glad to see him returning to form. This book is not a standalone, but it is terrific in its own right. And I really hope the two month wait passes quickly.

READ THIS.

Wow, this was one hell of a wild ride.

The story in this second book in the series picks up exactly where Cross Me left off. And as it says in the blurb this book is hotter, darker and wilder. If you are up for drama, romance, scorching chemistry and danger, then you won't be disappointed. This book has it all.

To be honest, the drama was a little bit too much for my tastes and I was somewhat frustrated with Clara's behaviour at times. She does get angry with X about things that she herself does. Despite that, I still enjoyed the book. Which, let's be honest. It's not that difficult when you have a character such as X who can melt your heart (and your panties) with a few wisely chosen words and a smoldering look. And let's not even touch on the subject of what he can do between the sheets (or anywhere else for that matter) :D. Let's just say that if I was on Clara's place, I would have a smile constantly plastered on my face :D.

But all hotness aside, this story is definitely intriguing. It is enchanting to see how both X and Clara are becoming the King and Queen they are meant to be while at the same time they are still trying to navigate the mine field of emotions, secrets and danger that is shadowing their every step.

One thing I would like to warn you about is the huge cliffie at the end of the book. I nearly threw my kindle when I read the last chapter. It is a biggie so you might want to take precautions :D As for me, I can't wait to get my hands on Consume Me ;)

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have to start out by saying that Claim me is the 2nd book in the Royal World series, SO YOU MUST READ Cross Me (Book 1) FIRST! THIS IS NOT A DRILL EITHER! Oh my hell, while this book picked up where the first book left off, it still took a bit before the secret of what Clara found was, and I was calling the brilliant Geneva Lee so many colorful metaphors, but seriously, it was just a drop in the bucket compared to what happened when I got to the end of this book. But I digress. Alexander is really making a mess of things with his secrets, and I can't understand why, since Clara wouldn't judge him one bit. He's driving me absolutely crazy, but then, OMG! Clara is now flipping the script with her own secret so you already know, both of them need to shaken until their teeth rattle for real. The twists are insane, so I found myself on the edge of my seat waiting for the other shoe to drop continuously, while dropping f-bomb after f-bomb like a sailor. Lawd, thank goodness for the cast of secondaries like Edward, Belle, and others, otherwise, who knows where Alexander & Clara would be. And that ending?! HOLY HELL! I'm 100% dying inside from that cliffy completely! HOW COULD YOU MS. LEE?! If it gets any windier before the conclusion, I'm going over the side of the cliff! So if anyone wants to join me on this highly addictive cliff, you know what to do, one click this baby! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Wicked Queen is the second book in The Sovereign Series by Geneva Lee. I strongly recommend reading book 1, Wild King, before reading Wicked Queen if you haven't already. Although not essential I also suggest reading The Royals Saga, the series where we are introduced to Alexander and Clara, before reading The Sovereign Series.

In Wicked Queen, Geveva Lee takes us on another emotional roller-coaster with the continuation of Alexander and Clara's story. With each book the story gets better, the emotions higher, the sex steamier, and a little kinkier, and Wicked Queen delivers all that and more.

We are introduced to the stranger from the end of book 1, and I bet you want to know who it is. Well you wont hear it from me, you will have the read the book to find out.

This book had me on the edge of my seat, experiencing a myriad of emotions from elation to despair from start to finish, and the plot twists just kept getting better. I couldn't put it down,

Geneva Lee has re-enforced her crown as the Queen of Tease with yet another, and you wont believe this one, cliff-hanger. It was totally unexpected, and left me with my jaw on the floor, trying desperately to turn to the next page for more. but alas we have to wait until Hard Reign, and it will be one hard wait for this reader.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

Holy mother of cliffhangers! I kept tapping my Kindle, not able to figure out why the page wasn't turning and finally realized it was the end. Noooooo!
The entire book was totally worth it, though. I just hope book 3 is finished quickly!
We've followed Clara and Alexander from the beginning, when they were dating to engaged to a new family who rise to King and Queen much more suddenly than expected. Now with this new series, we get to see them more comfortable in their new roles and yet still coming to terms being a married couple with kids along with ruling England.
I have always loved Clara but she has really come into her own in this book. She is livid, understandably, at this last secret X has been keeping from her and she makes him work for every scrap of forgiveness she may give. And it's about time. Alexander is still working on the fact that while the weight of the country may rest on his shoulders, he has an equal partner to share ALL his burdens and keeping secrets to "protect" her always backfires. Clara is not a weak woman who needs protecting from truths.
The addition of the family member who was not actually dead adds so much to their story! It was a rocky reentry for sure but at the end things were looking up for her and her place in the family.
Well done, Ms Lee. I can't wait to read the next installment.

Review:
Ok I am totally hooked!!! This book has managed to satisfy all my fiction needs - mystery, intrigue, royal trouble, hardcore romance and a touch of darkness to round it all off!!
The heat between the couple is scorching and I need some serious cooling off - alternatively please give me the next book!! The plot has gotten thicker and there’s more players now! I love the human touch added to the Royals... normally we always perceive them to be untouchable and perfect. The author has kept a great blend of privilege vs duty... and made the characters so so relatable!
My fav part of the book has to be the couple’s love and devotion to each other! It’s totally dreamy... where can I find me an Alexander????

Alexander and Clara's story in the Wicked Queen is one that is filled with family, intrigue, steamy sex scenes, secrets and love. Family is an integral part of most love stories but Alexander and Clara are surrounded by family that both loves and despises them. One family member has come back from the "dead" and threatens to keep Alexander and Clara apart because of the secrets keep about this family member. Another family member becomes a possible murder victim as a result of the Royal family feeling threatened by Parliament. Alexander and Clara have overcome an inability to communicate with each other outside of the bedroom. Clara and Alexander have committed themselves to exploring the world of dominate and submissive with each other. These sexy scenes in the Wicked Queen certainly help to raise the heat factor and more accurately describe the Wild King and The Wicked Queen. Through all this, Clara is still keeping a secret that could change the course of her relationship with her husband, the King. A wicked story and a wild ride will have you asking questions and wondering if and when the next Royal will be put in a life and death situation.

The Wicked Queen is laced with themes of family, secrets and intrigue. This must read is fast paced and absolutely perfect.

I really enjoyed this second installment of The Royals Collection series by Geneva Lee.

Wicked Queen carries on following Clara & Alexander's turbulent relationship while the everyday workings of the Royal Family run in the background, always just on the brink of throwing their union into chaos.
This author has managed to keep the reader invested and on their toes by fantastically weaving little snippets of intrigue throughout the story, building the suspense to a cataclysmic cliffhanger ending.
Being a reader who did not read The Royals Saga series, I have found it challenging to understand some of the dialogue and relationships, because obviously, the background work has all been done in the previous storylines. In saying this, if you are someone that doesn't need that type of information, this new offshoot series will still bring you enjoyment & satisfaction, so don't hesitate in downloading.
Personally, I would be recommending that if you haven't read Clara & Alexander's story in the above mentioned series, do so before you start in on this newest addition to their stories. I believe it will give you a richer appreciation of their love and circumstance.
5 stars for this one.
