KAREN COULTERS grew up in the Midwest with roots in New England. Traveling to the coast of Maine every summer was a highlight of Karen’s younger years; so, it only made sense that she move there after graduating. Married in 1982, they relocated to New Hampshire, became a mother of two, and grand-mother. Artistic expression has always been in her DNA. She’s performed on stage as a vocalist, actress, and speaker. She’s a writer of scripts that depict real life in order to make someone think and consider change. However, being a novelist has been her lifelong dream. She says, “Timing is everything, and my time came in 2017, when the urge to write became something that I could no longer ignore.”
I enjoyed reading every part of Karen Coulters book - Hope for Daffodils. You really come to like the characters and before the book ends, they feel like old friends. If you are looking for a story that celebrates friendship and love, you should pick up this book. At points in the story, it was hard to put the book down -it unfolds so nicely that you just need to know what happens next! This is a sweet story about hope, love, friendship and heart that takes place in a beautifully described location. Reading this book feels like a mini-vacation.
I picked this book up at the Nubble Lighthouse Welcome Center while on vacation in Maine last month, and I’m so glad I did. It’s beautifully written about friendship and finding love again after tragedy along with some unexpected turn of events. I didn’t want to put the book down, and I’m looking forward to reading Karen’s other books.
Also, I just wanted to point out how much I appreciate that the author took the time to sign each of the copies in the welcome center in addition to writing out the message, “May hope always bloom in you!” It was a pleasant surprise, and made my purchase that much sweeter.
Pretty good! Based in York Maine where i went w Ricky so cool to recognize the names of places. Mystery romance type beat. Sarah should read. U guys know i hate a quick romance this one felt super rushed and forced but it was an interesting plot with her husband, murder, and lawyers. Loved her wedding job. I think there’s more of the series? Anyways it was good enough but not insane
Such a well written book. It grabs your attention from the start, you won't want to put it down. Everywhere I went I brought the book with me, so anytime I had a second to read I could pick up where I left off. I love romance novels and now I get to add Karen Coulters to my list of favorite authors. A beautiful, well written, novel that is guaranteed to pull at your heart strings.
This is Karen Coulter's first novel and it should not be her last. By the middle of the book, I felt I knew the main characters as well as if they had been long time friends of mine. The conversations throughout were natural and never contrived, giving me the sensation I was present as a silent partner. I was delighted that I never knew exactly where Coulter's was taking me, but I willingly turned the pages to find out!
This is actually the second time I read this, the first was Ruthie Ricer's signed copy. I ordered it again from Amazon Kindle. This book is like a movie, I was right there watching all the characters perform. I love books like this. I look forward to your next one. By the way I knew your siblings, probably Doug the most. I live in Woodsfield. I have never been to the East coast but would sometime like to visit. Keep up the good work.
Gorgeous cover. Wonderful story! Sophie, a recent widow, finds the spark in life again with a new-to-town man, Brady. Brady arrives just in time, Sophie's best friend and business partner, Emily, has them branching out in their business and Brady is exactly who they need to help them. With many twists and turns and fun side characters, fans of Virgin River would love this book! Well done to the author.
This book is a very good read. I enjoyed every bit. I, personally, would have preferred to have read it without any profanity and sexual references, but they, fortunately were so few, subtle and well used that the greatness of the story still broke through. It was hard to put down.
I absolutely loved this book, the details draw the reader in and you can almost smell the flowers, or the coffee....The story keept my imagination engaged and waiting to turn the page to find out what happens next. And I agree, I would love to go to a wedding there, just to see the beautiful stained glass window.
Was a meeting by chance at the Tidewater Restaurant in Hillsboro, NH this summer and was delighted to meet you and purchase Hope from Daffadils. Really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more of writings. I passed my copy on to avid readers who also were most pleased with the story and presentation.
You undoubtedly will be an author I will be following and enjoying.
This was my first but not last book read from this author. The book title and beautiful cover grabbed my attention and once I started reading I could not put it down till I finished it. Lots of curve balls in midst of the romance in this story but you were always rotting for the happy ever after.
