Third and final book of the Era of Shadows Series
As a History Fiction it deserved 5 stars just for the huge research the writer must had done.
But it is Fantasy. Good fantasy, certainly, but often too subtle as it's almost always under one character's eyes. It could be dismissed as madness. But if you manage to believe it, it's fantastic.
Unfortunatly I'm afraid a lot of readers aren't going to try. Yet as fantasy also deserve 5 stars due how deep the characters are and the complex relationship among them.
It's not his best book, but already showed how good writer he was coming to become.

History of 33 centuries ago, mythology and a bit of fantasy melds smoothly.

The book is a leap of faith. It starts with the main character giving up. There aren't more clues and the journal is unfinished. It's hopeless.
Because, in the real world, good doesn't always triumph over evil.
And it takes a lot to see the light of hope, but it worths it.
Sudenly the dark night becomes dawn.
The ancient story has a fantasy ending, yet fiting History. The "present day" one is also fantasy (though there are actual hints that something could really exist there).

Probably not for young readers, but a deep and good story.

Memorable, Thrilling Conclusion
I’ve been waiting for this book ever since I finished the 2nd and I’m happy to say I was not at all disappointed. As with the other books in the series I really enjoyed how the ancient (and present) Egyptian culture, history/mythology are used throughout the story, bringing some realism and historical fact into a fictional story.

I found this conclusion a great and fitting end to the trilogy. Without any spoilers, I really liked how in this book we get to see the stakes and conflict escalate to more epic and world-altering levels. I also enjoyed how each of the character’s story and the time frames come together and interact for some powerful ending scenes. Definitely worth the read. Look forward to whatever the author has coming out next.

On a side note, I purchased the book itself and the cover art and color schemes are very well done and eye catching on a book shelf.

Intrigue. Mystery. Treasure. Ancient world. Weaving plot. Complex characters.

The conclusion of this series is entwined with lovable and vile characters in a mystical world of magic. Some rise while others fall in surprising and original scenes.

This third and final book of the series is pure greatness. It was a hard book to put down. Heb's and Gavin's stories come to a glorious conclusion. It jumps right in and doesn't slow down. I highly recommend reading this book, of course only after the first two. Simply, I loved it!

This was by far the most fun of the Era of Shadows to write.

Unearthing the Dawn is the glorious and intense epic ending where all the character converge and everything that's been plotted and laid out by history comes to a head.

Much intrigue and manipulation and love and redemption.

Enjoyed this series very much. Didn’t want it to end! There must be at least one more book . . .
