A fake marriage. A forbidden passion. A love of a lifetime.

From rock star to pretend husband, his life is a mess. But he isn’t ready to give up on the woman he loves. Whoever said nice guys finish last, never met Beck Kramer.

When Beck Kramer’s band, Razor’s Edge, broke up, his brief rush of fame and fortune left a bad taste in his mouth. Five years later, he’s left the music behind and found success working for his family’s construction business.

Life is good. Until he meets the woman who makes him take and second look, and a third—beautiful and fiercely independent Sawyer Hale.

Sawyer moved to Eatonville to get away from her past. The last time she fell in love, her heart ended up as roadkill. She’s happy without a man. Then, Beck walked into her life. Sexy, sweet, and too tempting for her own good, he turned her stable world upside down.

They said “I do” on a drunken whim; a marriage of convenience. Now, Beck needs to decide if their wedding was a huge mistake or the best decision he ever made.

When does a marriage of convenience cross the line and become inconvenient?
When you break rule number one.
Don’t fall in love with your wife.

I love books, I always have and always will. Writing is an extension of that and though it has taken me a while to get here, I now can officially call myself a published author.
I grew up on a ranch in Eastern Washington, so I wanted to set my books on the Columbia River in Washington state. Harper Falls is completely fictitious, but I think anyone from the area will know right where it would be if it did exist.
My hobbies are gardening, reading, baking(fattening desserts are my favorite), exercise(I don't love it, but it is necessary due to the desserts), and animals. I had a dog but when he died I couldn't bring myself to replace him. That is why I wrote Edgar, the dog into "If I Loved You", I consider him my surrogate puppy until I can get a real one.
I love to get feedback on my books so I hope everyone will feel free to leave a question or visit my website(it is a work in progress, but I'm getting there).
My Facebook page is up and running, please stop by for a look and a like.

Great series, great story and great characters. Beck Kramer’s story is next in the Rock and Roll Forever series by the very talented author Mary J. Williams.

With the downfall of Razor’s Edge, Beck Kramer decided to go back home to Eatonville, leaving behind his dreams of rock stardom. In the ensuing years, he’s made a pretty good name for himself in the construction business in part due to his mother’s business savvy. It’s in this field that he decides to make a business proposal to the new resident in town, Sawyer Hale, who owns Hale’s Nursery. Their first encounter is very interesting and as they get to know each other the more they like what they find. Then one day things seem to spiral just a tad out of control and they end up getting married. Feelings develop including guilt and apprehension on both their parts about where this marriage of convenience is going. Many things are uncovered especially about Sawyer’s tragic loss and ensuing battle with her ex in-laws.

Beck seems to be the more well-rounded of the group at least as far as I can tell thus far. But there’s also some deep seeded anger about the way things went down, which rears its ugly head once Joplin Ashford comes to town. He has refused to look back until her visit stirs up memories of his brief venture into fame and fortune and how it was suddenly snatched away. Initially he refuses to reunite with Razor’s Edge but by the end of this story there seems to be some hope that it could happen. To be continued.

I loved every bit of this story. Beck and Sawyer are so well-suited and their rapport is so genuinely endearing. You can tell they really care about each other. They are a team in all things especially when dealing with her ex in-laws. This series just gets better and better. Mary Williams takes your heart on an emotional and thrilling ride. Can’t wait for the next one.

Beck Kramer owns a construction company and loves his work in construction. He has moved on from the old days of his Razor's Edge fame and all the fallout. Back in his hometown, he meets Sawyer, the new garden shop owner and landscape designer. They form a business deal for her to landscape his construction projects, and they send business to each other. Although Sawyer is a broken-hearted widow still in love with her dead husband, Beck is drawn to her. They agree to be friends and become close. Of course, Beck is attracted to her-- but being one of the good guys, he keeps things on the friends-without-benefits level. One night in Las Vegas, they decide to get married on a drunken whim. When they sober up, Sawyer creates a contract for a marriage in name only. Beck discovers that she actually needs a husband to settle her dead husband's will, so they decide to stay married--for one year only, per the will and contract. Beck finds himself falling in love with his wife, and hopes for the day that she will let go of the past and see the man in front of her as more than just a friend. Six months go by, he is still waiting. He is running out of time....

This second book in the series is a stand alone.
The story revolves around Beck and Sawyer. Beck, once a rock star now owns a construction company.
Sawyer, a widow from a wealthy family, still mourns her dead husband. She owns a garden store and they form a relationship as they send each other business. A friendship develops , though Beck would want more than that.
A night in Vegas leaves them married in the morning but instead of dissolving the marriage, Sawyer decides that a marriage of convenience is what she needs. Since Sawyer needs a husband to inherit the money left in her husband’s will.
In the midst of the suspense , Beck’s only hope is that Sawyer realizes he’s the man for her.
An engaging story from the start to the finish , with complex main characters . You will definitely fall in love with Beck.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Sawyer and Beck, Beck and Sawyer are two people that came together to help one another in life. They both had feelings for one another and was afraid to act upon them for fear it would ruin the friendship that was held dear to them. Even though they only knew each other for a short time, it developed into something special.
Everyone of Mary J Williams books to me has a special place in my heart. I put myself into the characters life and it makes me feel like I am part of that character's community and life. I can visualize what they are doing, feeling and try to figure out what comes next. Mary is a great storyteller and each book has a happily ever after ending. I love how she does this as life is chaotic and it is nice just to loose yourself in a book and dream.
I do have one problem with this storyline. I was a bit disappointed there wasn't any elaboration on the Camille Hale involvement with the arrest of her son. I felt I was left hanging and DO HOPE that there is closure in the future books of this series. But all in all, it was a great book.

Is it a misunderstanding or overthinking an issue?

Beck Kramer, drummer extraordinaire for the band Razor’s Edge, has quietly gone back to his roots after the band imploded. He’s taken over his mom’s construction company and is doing well.

Sawyer Hale married her sweetheart then he died during deployment overseas. She’s left with a billion-dollar inheritance that has her scrambling to meet the terms set out by her deceased husband.

A drunk night in Vegas has Beck and Sawyer returning to town as a platonic Mr. and Mrs. Can Sawyer finally get her inheritance behind her and move forward? Can Beck continue to live in this platonic relationship? Will they move forward together, or will they abide by their ‘deal’ and go their separate ways.

I really enjoyed this book. The story was fresh, and although it is the second book in the Rock and Roll Forever series, it is a stand-alone.

A former rock star, a tenacious widow, a billion dollar inheritance, a vindictive, greedy ex mother in law, a sniveling ex brother in law, a hitman and a burly, ex military housekeeper/cook. What more can you ask for? Except maybe a sweet love story that started with a Vegas style wedding after a night of partying with a famous band and a marriage that started out as a means to the inheritance but ended up as an unexpected happily ever after.

I read a lot of romance novels. I’m always happy when I find one with a new twist on the topic. With that said, I loved “Almost Blue”. Yes, it is a story about Sawyer and Beck who get hitched in Vegas with a marriage of convenience. From then on this story is all new and exciting. I really cared for the couple and the plot had me reading all night instead of watching tv. Beck used to be in a rock band, but now does home construction. Sawyer is a widow with a new landscaping business. She has inherited a huge sum of money and her ex mother in law wants it back. According to the will she can keep it if she is married. Thus the marriage of convenience. There are a lot of twists and turns along the way which make this an exciting read. This book was such a good story.

Absolutely loved Beck and Sawyer story in the second book in the Rock and Roll forever series. Within minutes of starting the story I loved Beck, warm, kind and wonderful with just a little bit of bad boy thrown in. Can’t wait for Morgan and Kane’s books.

I received an arc and the opinions and views are my own. I think this is my favourite, I loved Beck and Sawyer’s story. They started out as friends and ended up lovers but it took awhile to get there. Lots of humour and surprises. Cannot wait to see if the band gets back together. Would recommend this series but you have to like it hot.

Sawyer and Beck Kramer are in a marriage of convenience. Beck is a good guy and is willing to help Sawyer out by giving her a platonic marriage, but he would love more. As he sees it, Sawyer is still in love with her dead husband, who comes from a very wealthy family. Apparently Sawyer is in the way of the family keeping all of their wealth intact. This leads to all kinds of underhanded machinations toward anyone that Sawyer gets involved with. She has learned to stay uninvolved; hence, the platonic marriage to Beck.

Beck was part of the band called Razor’s Edge, which burned brightly for a year, and then fizzled out quickly. As a result, there are still some bitter feelings on the part of the band members. During their year in the limelight, Joplin was their stage manager. She was also their confidant and friend. She is now going to each separate band member to see if she can interest them in a one-night reunion. Everywhere she goes, she seems to bring healing, comfort, understanding, and renewed friendships to those band members.

This is the second part of a 5-part series giving readers the behind-the-scenes story of Razor’s Edge. Each story can stand alone, but is linked to each of the others via Joplin’s visits, and loosely linked to a prior series written by this author about the Ryder Hart band. Mary Williams delves deeply into the background of this band, and the reader is willingly and masterfully pulled into the heart of this story. The pacing is steady—not super-intense, but fast enough to keep the reader intrigued. The themes of understanding, forgiveness, growth, and acceptance abound and are worth exploring. This reader is looking forward to the next installment in the series!

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧💙Rock & Roll Forever❣️

Almost Blue
Rock & Roll Forever, Book 2
By: Mary J. Williams
Narrated by: Daniela Acitelli

I loved everything about this book, from Mary J. Williams’ wonderful writing style to the interesting and captivating storylines and characters she created to Daniela Acitelli’s fabulous narration. This is the second book in her “Rock & Roll Forever” series, it can be enjoyed on its own but I recommend starting with the first book “Almost Paradise” it is an awesome book and IMO knowing the back story of Razor’s Edge is beneficial, it adds even more depth to this book’s story. “Almost Blue” is Beckett “Beck” Kramer & Sawyer Hale’s story, it takes place five years after the demise of Razors Edge. Beck, the band’s drummer, went back home and starting working for his family’s construction business and did great for himself and the business. There is a new nursery in town so he meets with the owner, Sawyer Hale, with a business proposal that would benefit them both. The two hit it off and there is chemistry between them but Sawyer is hesitant to get romantically involved. She comes with a lot of baggage, baggage that is filled with all sorts of crazy. I loved her strength and determination to not let any of it get to her or the better of her. She comes up with a solution, a fake marriage and she moves in to Beck’s home but they plan maintain a platonic relationship. But things do not always go as planned and they can only deny themselves so long. I loved these two together, they were perfect for each other and great together. I loved how everything plays out in this book, there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, a bit of angst, some twists & turns, thrilling & suspenseful moment, heartfelt ones and the start of a great romance. I also love the storyline that is tying the books in this series together, Joplin Ashford visiting each band member and telling them her Uncle’s dying wish, for the band to reunite and perform one more time. Her uncle Danny Graham was the band manager, Joplin was the scout who found the band. So far she has not not gotten a yes to that request but there are two more band members to go and I am looking forward not only to their response but to see where life has brought them. Mary J. Williams, thank you for another fantastic story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

I listened to the Audible edition, Daniela Acitelli is a talented narrator and voice artist. She does an amazing job portraying the characters, bring them to life, humanizing them by capturing their emotions and projecting it into her performance. She gives each character their own voice and personality, making it easy to follow the story and distinguish who is who. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you another awesome listen🎧

WOW… this is another page turner by this so talented author!

The plot is twisted and complicated and kept me on the edge of my seat while the slowly building suspense nearly gave me a heart attack… or two…
There are mystery, romance and a thriller, all interwoven in one single novel.

The characters… I am at a loss for words…
They feel so plastic that they seem to be waiting to be met just around the next street corner. Their multi-layered personalities sparkle with life and are unique…

This is another must read in this amazing series!

Another success for Mary J William's. I didn't think the second book in the series could be any better than the first but Almost Blue is just as awesome if not better. Beck and Sawyer's journey to love was complicated and full of obstacles thanks to a dead husband, an evil ex-mother in law and wimpy ex brother-in law. Beck is your all American good guy and Sawyer is a down to earth, strong woman which makes for the perfect couple. This book has it all, romance, complications, mystery, suspense and your happy ending. I highly reccomend this book! Awesome read!

Another smash hit! Mary Williams has done it again. As with most of her books, Ms Williams has delivered another book that kept me turning the pages excitedly to learn what was going to happen next. I have learned to start reading her books early in the day when I know I will be able to read through to the end without interruption, as each story seems to be just as good, if not better than the one prior.

Ok

I was disappointed as no band and these guys should be together but I feel like they get one night and split. Just not what I care to read when considered rock and roll when most of its a romance story.

Beck used to be the drummer for Razor’s Edge, a rock group at the height of fame. When the group broke up, he went home to help his mom at her construction company. He fell into an easy life in his small town. That is, until Sawyer moved in.
Sawyer is mysterious and the center of gossip in the small town. When Beck proposes a business deal, they strike up an easy friendship. Fighting mutual attraction, they drunkenly get married while in Vegas.
The two fight against their feelings for the other while holding onto hope that the other feels the same.
Opinion
Daniela Acitelli yet again pulled off a great reading. It is a testament to her skills that I can listen to her all day long as I work. Yet again, I’ll be working on the next book tomorrow.
I loved this story more than the first. Beck is such a kind gentleman that you can’t help but fall in love with him. Sawyer too had a gentle kindness about her. The two characters carry on such an endearing relationship that I can’t help but be jealous of it.
Many thanks for the copy of the audiobook I received from Daniela Acitelli.

I loved Beck and Sawyer's story. Beck is whole package, sweet, nurturing, gentlemanly and let's not forget, hot! Five years after the break up of Razor's Edge Beck has found his niche but not his love. Sawyer had found love once and was guarding her heart but there was something easy with Beck.

I loved how real these two were and it was great watching their love for one another unfold. I can't wait for the next book in the series. As Joplin plays cupid, I am wondering if there will there be a reunion.
