First Semester sparked something different inside me. Now it’s time to find out whether Semester Two will transform that spark into something good…or bad.
I, Brianne Marie Harlow, never imagined I'd befriend the Notorious Four, let alone enjoy the holidays with them. And now that I’ve gotten to learn a little bit about each of them and how they see the world, I want to creep out of my innocent shell and explore things that never crossed my mind.
Like dating, for example.
It’s a new year and a new semester, and I'm finally beginning to feel comfortable with my newfound levels of confidence. I'm learning new things at school, and the guys are teaching me life lessons, helping me become less naive — but without the judgment anyone else would have shown me.
However, not all is well outside of my little circle. The rumors and lies continue to grow, and it turns out they’re a lot more painful when they come from the person you once considered your best friend. Not all hope is lost, but with the shadow people making another appearance and putting someone dear to me at risk, I’ll have to toughen up and recruit the guys to track the culprit down.
My goals for this semester are simple enough: pass our physical exams, identify the people who are after my gift, and if I'm lucky, snag another kiss from one of the guys.
Oh no ( crying )! Oh so so promising just to crash and burn. Another one bites the dust! Well I loved our first book, and was totally excited for this second book only to be let down horribly. This book is nothing but nonsense, I mean there is truly nothing going on! A lot of Bri and the guys having to talk about their relationship which is a lot of Bri's srry butt almost begging them not to be with her because she doesn't want them in trouble, or letting their reputation being soiled by being with her. There's a lot of this throughout the whole book, actually that is the whole book followed by pity parties, lots of crying, and I'm just a regular girl nothing special speeches. I rolled my eyes constantly at how far this book fell from grace, honestly I had to keep checking that I was reading what I was reading since this book is a complete 360 from the first book? This book seemed also so childish in the writing skills? I'm not really sure what happened but I won't be finishing this grade a bomber
I liked the first book of this series so I'm disappointed by this one. The characters are overdone, the plot has little development and moves at a snail's pace and the character growth is minimal. The book basically consisted of the MC having the same conversation over and over but with different characters and each time she marvelled at the wisdom of the answer given to her - which was the same. The efforts to make her appear truly younger than the others actually made her seem infantile and moronic. I won't be continuing with the series.
Gosh how annoying it is to repeat the same dialogue as book one did over and over again..It's almost half the book now and we still talking about the meanies in class...and she is still clueless about basic well known stuff...I don't think I can torture myself to finsh this ...
I thought book one was fantastic but somehow this little gem managed to top it! We pick up at the break before semester two. There is lots of relationship building and good times before they return to school. That is where things get intense as an effort to continue the bullying starts but it is handled superbly. The whole semester is one surprise after another leading to a thrilling conclusion that gives us something new as well as the ending that makes you want more. If you like YA/NA, witches, and magic you have to try it! I loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
While I enjoy this series, it's not one of my favorites. I'm going to continue to read it because I'm invested in these characters and can't wait to see where this all leads.
Brianne is in her second semester at Witchling Academy. After the first one, she isn't sure what to expect . But hopes that things will be far better than they were. And it seems like they are, until an unknown source appears and creates havoc. As well as old allies continuing with their hurtful words.
Brianne seems entirely TOO naive for me at some points. I almost have a hard time with how she acts about things. Honestly, I felt like she was way worse in this one than the first. Though she is getting better with the help of the guys. However, I can see them still sheltering her from the darker side of things. I.E. the name calling.
We see the relationships forming and growing stronger. I felt a little bit like some of the stuff was going a little fast. But then I remember that they've been friends for an entire semester already so some of those friendly feelings have just been amped-up by romantic ones. Though, I think the guys were always thinking of having their friendship head toward one way with Brianne.
These books are pretty quick reads. Shorter than what I'm used to from this author, but you still get a full storyline. Though I do wish I got a little more in terms of the school. I feel like some of that is glossed over.
Overall, and I know it probably doesn't seem like it with what I've said so far, I did like this book. I'm curious to see where it leads. Especially with what happened at the end of this one. I want to know how the guys will react, as well as Brianne, to the new development.
It's semester 2 at Witchling Academy and Bri and her boys are ready to kick butt and take names!
Book 2 really focuses on the growing relationships between sweet Brianne and, not only her men, but new friends that transfer in. Though the bullying Bri has to endure is hateful and tragic, the response to it is mature and inspiring.
The book gives a very important message, that with strength, love, and support, you can survive. It also shows us that bullies are jerks! Don't be a bully!
With a climatic and slightly terrifying final scene, Witchling Academy is defintely turning out to be one of my favorite academy YA reads!
This book went way too fast. It could have easily been twice as long without any problems. I feel like the author may have been pressured into making a deadline faster than the book was ready to be published. There were too many moments too close together trying to justify the "okayness" of what Brianne is experiencing/going through. Not enough time to develop the burgeoning relationships between the men and Brianne. I felt like the relationships all happened at one time without giving the reader a chance to catch up and enjoy each development. The sudden plot of the bad guy happening in the book happened so fast, it was like the author realized there should be something linking the first book's attempted kidnap to keep the audience going and realized she hadn't put anything in the book yet. It felt very out of place and not actually part of the book. And can we talk about the sudden personality change in the sister over her new partner/team? It was like reader's whiplash to see the drastic change. This author has so much potential but it's like none of her friends or editors or publishers are willing to point any of this out to her. It's not helping her in the long run.
I really liked the first book in this series and had big expectations for this second book but sadly I was kind of disappointed. I am normally a fan of slowburn and character and story development, and like it when the characters aren't sooo experienced but sadly in this book there is not much from either, other than the slowburn. Brianne's innocence was sweet and refreshing at first but in this book, it was just too much! There is a difference between innocent and naive but sadly Brianne is the later. She is seventeen years old, but can't talk with anyone about sex or just think about those things without blushing like a little girl. At first it was okay but constantly? It just has me constantly rolling my eyes at this point and takes away the pleasure in reading and character development. None of the characters are really mature as they should be for their age and sadly the story is not new either, as they have to face challenges while trying to build a 'relationship' (how that should work when she doesn't even know her own body's reactions I'm not sure). I Really liked previous books by this author but I am not sure I will pick up the next book in this series.
Witchling Academy: Semester Two is the second book in the Spell Travelers series by Avery Song.
Ugh the writing dropped in effort? A little worse than the previous book, not entirely headache inducing. So, I guess that’s a plus? It’s annoying that these are all separate books, when they shouldn’t be. Barely enough happens, the plot progresses at a snails pace, there’s an utter lack of plot really. How they individually constitute as actual books is beyond me? I honestly hate when authors do this; producing mini novella sized installments and releasing them as full length. Why!?! It’s so unbelievably frustrating.
I’m invested in these characters. That’s the singular reason this book isn’t 2🌟’s at most. While the beginning was cute in its holiday cheeriness. Such a huge portion of the book was allocated to moving on or resolving the past books conflicts. The only truly new addition was the twins from Korea, Mia and Miya. And yet we only had that one day in the classroom to learn anything about them. It’s genuinely annoying how rushed all of this is.
The foundation is there. But it only appears as if the author is so focused on quickly releasing all of this individual ‘books’ that the quality gets detracted. It would be extremely preferable to release the equivalent of two books as one in the time the author would usually spend on that amount of work. Having these short continuations separate interrupts the flow between installments. And seriously NOT ENOUGH HAPPENS in each book. There’s a lot of info-dumping. But mostly whiny feels type stuff and not world building or character development. Slow-slow-burn. The slowest. She’s sixteen, or seventeen now, I get this. But she’s such a Mary Sue it’s as if the author is ridiculing her with her strength of naivety and innocence. It completely contradicts this sometimes, when not Mary Sueing, confident persona.
Someone pretty please get her a proofreader/editor? That would help immensely. A lot of the errors are so easily fixed.
I hoped this book would be better than the first, develop the relationships and characters further and improve on the world building and magic system. I was so disappointed. Okay, so after book 1 I should have expected more of the same, but it's starting to wear thin. The bullying is a bit too junior High School for the 18-20 age range and the FMCs innocence is overdone at this point. 5 months since the first book started and she still hasn't learned anything about life? "The baby making thing"? Really?? She doesn't know the meaning of "whore"? Are there no dictionaries in this world? And nobody pointed out the sheer contradictory stupidity of the guy who dumped her for being too innocent claiming she dumped him to act the whore? Lots of crying, which is understandable if you lose a lifelong friend and are being bullied. What isn't understandable is that it was mostly over insecurity and it took up a large amount of the book, leaving most of the action to be crammed into the last few chapters. Also odd that she never realised her best friend was a douche who would trash her and put her in danger. Surely he wouldn't have changed personality so fast? It did give the guys the chance to be understanding and impart their "wisdom". And the test scene... yeah, how does a world renowned academy not have security failsafes and moderators who would prevent such situations arising? Especially with underaged students? Hearing more of the guys' backstory was good. They are coming across as very innocent as well in some ways, a contrast to their seeming confidence in the first book. Lots of blushing. There seemed to be quite a few changes in personalities, or maybe that is supposed to reflect the difference between true and surface personas? Having new female friends was also good, even if it seemed a little too insta.
The writing seemed more childish in style as well, rather than progressing in maturity. 🙄 How old is the author?
What a great second installment in the Witchling Academy series. Brianne is back with the Notorious Four in this second semester and the challenges keep coming. I love the way Avery wrote such a sweet yet strong character. And what a cliffhanger! I can't wait for book 3. I highly recommend not only this book but book one for anyone looking for a series revolving around school. It has humor, love, action, hot guys and of course magic.
2 stars, but I just could not give more. I started skipping pages real soon, was boring. I saw I was not the only one who was skipping pages. Only the ending was good, that was worth 3 stars. Looks like the author was in a hurry to finish this book, that's a shame. I got this book for free for a honest review, and I need to be honest about this, sorry. I still like Bri and the guys very much ...
Witchling Academy: Semester 2 is the second book in Avery Song’s Spell Traveler Chronicles series. Bri has made it through her first semester at Witchling Academy. She had losses and gains, but the gains are far more worth what she has lost. In my opinion, what she lost…while it held a lot of meaning to her…isn’t worth her heartache, but I totally understand. Sadly, the rumors continue and the source of them is the very person whom she once called friend and another who is simply jealous. But the school and the professors are not going to allow the bullying to continue without severe consequences and I’m pleased that they step in and make it known. Prepare also to see the continued growth of the relationships developing between Bri and the Notorious Four. This book is absolutely fantastic and hard to put down. I love that the author goes deeper with this story and gives us more on the various characters. I appreciate that while this is basically a coming of age reverse harem romance novel, we get to see more than just the main characters be the focus. I like seeing Starlight in this book and that she is developing as well and I like that her situation is improving. There are so many interesting characters in this book, and I love getting their background histories, the different things that they have been through, and what has helped mold them into who they are now. I like the air of mystery that the author wraps the story in overall, but there are a couple places of where the author does a huge lead up to a situation so that you basically see it coming. Now, while I raised an eyebrow at the obviousness of this, I have to say that what waits on the other side…it’s totally worth it. Also, I could have literally hugged the author for the fact that…besides the Notorious Four…Bri is no longer alone. I almost whooped for joy I was so happy. While I enjoyed this book I was disappointed in a couple things. I hate to say it but I honestly find it hard to believe that Bri has been so sheltered that she has no idea about so many worldly things. I can’t help but raise an eyebrow that the “puppy” never tried to expose her to anything or that she never read anything in a book since she loves to read so much. The author explains that Bri wasn’t popular, didn’t have a lot of friends, etc., but I still struggle a bit with how naïve she is to the point of where I don’t view her has 16/17. I view her so much younger. All in all, I enjoyed this book and I can’t wait for the next book. Bri is growing and developing. She’s shedding some of her naivety and I’m loving the fact that she’s no longer alone. There are some intense moments so prepare to be grabbed and fascinated all the way to the end. These stories keep getting better and I’m so ready for Semester 3 where I honestly hope Elijah gets his well-deserved smack! LOL! If you’ve read the first book and enjoyed it as much as I did then I highly recommend you grab this book! Enjoy!
SYNOPSIS (of Books 1-6): This story is set in a world where magic and non magic users all live together. The FC is a strong witch with a gift of mimicking other‘s magic and travelling to places. The Books cover the FC, Brianne, and her best friend going to Witchling Academy together and the FC meeting 4 MCs for whom she falls. The Books cover the development of the FCs relationship with the MCs and the issues she has with the resident mean girl, her best friend and being bullied. As they progress they go into the deeper reason for the existence of the Witchling Academy and the existence of Gods and Goddesses.
🌶️/🍆🍆 - there are minimal sex scenes and those that there were I found to be quite cringeworthy I‘m afraid.
The story is fine and there are not too many typos and editing issues. My main dislikes were the juvenile dialogue and the characters who came across as very young. I enjoy academy books and maybe this is just aimed at a much younger audience.
The men are passive and there‘s a lot of new man crying and male angst. I‘m afraid I like the MCs to be strong and more alpha and these 4 MCs were the opposite. The FC is portrayed as very innocent to the extent that she apparently doesn‘t know anything about sex and is completely ignorant of when people like her. Considering she is 17 to begin with that just comes across as nonsensical. With books, TV and everything else no girl can remain so ignorant of sex. The result, I found was that the FC just came across as completely unbelievable and not very bright. As examples, a group says about Elijah and Elisha “they’re going to do it” and Bri’s internal monologue has her saying “Do What? … don’t tell me they’re going to do that whole “where babies come from” thing?” (cringe); In the same scene she’s called a who%e and her internal monologue has her asking what that is and “is that similar to that slut word?” 🙄
The relationships are insta like/love with yet another FC suddenly considered the centre of the MC‘s universe simply because the author says so with no evidence given to support why. There‘s alot of emphasis on bullying and how damaging it is but the author doesn‘t really seem to do anything more than go on about bullying with at least 2 of the main characters suffering from it.
The author also seems to have a thing about twins and those twins having almost exactly the same names - what on earth is that about? There are 3 main sets of twins called Mia&Miya; Akino&Akono; and Kito&Koyo - seriously? It’s as if the author wanted them to be one dimensional and lacking individuality.
Whilst the books are well written I lost interest around Book 3 and skim read more and more before giving up at Book 6 when things just became too confusing and, for me, ridiculous when you discover the deeper meaning to Jax & Brianne and Witchling Academy.
Brianne is starting to get back on her feet with the support of the Notorious Four. Even when she feels disheartened, they guys are always there for her. She was able to make friends and twins who are similar to her. I’m glad that they clicked in their group and would like to see more interactions with Mia and Miya. With the twins words, they were able to help make an improvement for Brianne’s surroundings. I can only say I’m so disappointed with Elijah and I don’t have any high hopes for him anymore. However, I hoped that one day they could still be at least friends when he realises his mistakes.
We learned a bit more of the past for the guys except Finnick but I’m certain we will. I thought it would take a while for them to be in a relationship but it has development furthered. This is still a slow burn reverse harem but it just fits them perfectly and I know that when they take their relationship at a next level it would be at the right moment. Since the guys all confessed to liking her and her to them, I’m just waiting for Finnick’s first crush to be reciprocated and I’m looking forward to it.
We learned more about Brianne’s second gift and the guys who tried to take her in the first book. It does sort of intertwine with Jax and Kaito’s past. I feel for Jax and I’m glad that during his difficult times, Connor was also able to help him.
And let’s not forget about Starlight. Whoever made the decision for her to have a partner and be on a team again, should be given the thumbs up. I agree with Brianne that her sister is starting to live again especially with Katsume, Kaito’s older sister, messing with her. Those two are hilarious. I’m wondering from one of those scenes, is that, Starlight might find love again? She deserves another chance at love.
I wouldn’t say the ending was a cliffhanger but that their story isn’t over yet. It also made me disliked Elijah more although Kudos to him for still having some conscience. I just hoped that the those who continued to bully Brianne would get their punishments.
Another Good Witchling Read!! 3.5 Stars 🌟 (Read using Kindle Unlimited)
Brianne feels confident & happy after an amazing Christmas & New Year period spent with her family & all of the Notorious Four boys🌲⛄😍 She's ready to start the second semester of the Witchling Academy feeling much more at peace with her choices & is really happy that Jax is more than happy that Connor wants to date her too, when she's ready to take that step!!💘
Before the first lesson even starts she's called to see Professor Phoenix. Her locker had been defaced & filled with death threats again 😢😔 She's told the Academy aren't prepared to stay out of it any longer & are taking steps to protect her & do all they can to put a stop to the bullying!!😡🙏 Right after that meeting a Student says some awful things to Connor about her in front of her & the entire class. Connor goes mad, verbally!!💥 He puts everyone in their place & it's the start of a turning point for most of the student body, they stop bullying her, finally!!🎉
Brianne meets two new students. They're identical twins & are extremely open minded & prefer to choose friends by how they're treated by that person & not by what they're told to think of them!!👍 Mia & Miya become her first new friends since the boys 😃🙌 Elijah, however, continues to spread vile lies about her and it hurts her more than she'd like to admit!!
The 4 guys & Brianne, all draw closer throughout the semester. They're starting to learn more about each other's pasts and their hopes & fears! The 'Shadow Men' make a reappearance 😳😱 Lives are on the line now ..... 😭😳
I was a bit disappointed by the amount of errors in this book. It impeded the reading flow for me 😔 I also thought the content would be more 'Academy/Magical learning' based rather than dealing with Brianne's emotions as much as it did. I still enjoyed the book, just not as much as 'Semester One'!!👍
~REVIEW🖋 The Quick and Dirty: *Mild Spoilers* - We are introduced to additional characters in semester 2 and learn about Brianne's born magical gift (not the spell traveling one she inherited from her parents). Her relationships move forward with the guys (it is clear the series will be a reverse harem series). While I know it's an academy book and the characters are in their late teens, this second book felt very young. I felt the majority of Semester 2 centered around bullying and self confidence issues, Brianne's extreme innocence and a whole ton of high school drama. The action comes toward the end of the book when there is a kidnapping and the quint's final exam is sabotaged by someone Brianne used to hold dear. I'm hoping that as the series progresses we'll get to keep the whimsy that is trademark to the author but that the characters will grow a little more. I'm having a hard time connecting with the maturity level of these characters at the moment.
**I was graciously offered an ARC in return for a voluntary and honest review**

Let’s start by saying I love this book. Bri is amazing, even with her innocence. Jax brings leadership and love to the table. He’s the first one to ask her out and he supports her thru everything.
I love how Conner helps Bri when that boy is bullying her at the beginning of the first class. He shows her how much he cares and also calls out those students for their childish behavior.
I absolutely love Finnicks’ pep talks about bullying. When he compared her to a brightly shining galaxy, I couldn’t keep the smile off my face!
Kaito is so patient and supportive of Bri. He lets her know that they will move at their own pace and there’s no need to rush into anything. He makes sure she knows that she’s loved and wanted, just like the other boys and I think that’s why she’s so comfortable talking to him.
As for Elijah, I cannot believe everything he said to Bri or about her, just to fit in! He deserves a throat punch or maybe a swift kick down south! And at the end, he deserves everything he gets and I hope he fails out!!
Mia and Miya are awesome! They can be my soul sisters any day and I would’ve enjoyed having them in school with me.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this series. Go get it now. There is not a long wait in between books and they all are amazing!!
Book two in the Witchling series didn’t disappoint, this is becoming an all time favorite! Semester Two is upon us, but first we have Christmas celebration at Jax’s House. Then the class begins and Bri is still facing the bullying and lies about her. But in mist of the people that didn’t take time to get to know her, she makes true friends, also we see a lot or growing in her relationship with the Notorious four. We learn about the past of the guys and what Bri second gift is 🤗🤗🤗 This one is also more full of action then the first, and we see all of them using their magic more and learn about Kaito gift too. Also, did I mention that we get to know his sister? And she is part of Starlight new team?! They are super funny. At the end when I tough the surprise is over, boom... we get more! So what are you waiting for? Come find out what happens in the second semester of Witchling Academy and join Bri, Jax, Kaito, Finnick and Teddy bear Connor in a new adventure! Watch out for cute familiars!
Quick Info Standalone/Cliffhanger?: Cliffhanger Part of a Series?: Yes ---------------------------------- Meeting the Characters Brianne Marie Harlow ---------------------------------- What happens? This is the second book in the series and I'm reviewing them out of order - whoops. Bri starts this term off worried about what other rumours and mean things are going to happen to her because of her relationships with the notorious four. There are rumours that she is sleeping with all of them but that isn't the case. Not completely anyway. We also have the addition of two new students in the forms of twin girls. Final thoughts Bri's 'innocence' is very annoying, that is my big negative to this book. I got a bit eye rolling going on when she doesn't know the simple phrases. I can't really give an example as I'm writing this nearly a week after reading this, but there are a few things I'm a bit confused on? Shes meant to be over age of consent so I can see OK she hasn't done anything but she should still know about stuff. Also if shes this naive and innocent are the relationships she is forming between each guy appropriate? Shes almost too young mentally for this to be a smart idea and not something kind of scary to be honest. This being said I do still like the parts of magic you do see and I'm still a sucker for the boys. Would I read again?: Yes Would I read this author again?: Yes
I loved the first book so much. I had high hopes for this book and I was unfortunately disappointed. There were some scenes that were detailed greatly and showed great promise but the last 50 pages felt so rushed and had almost no detail to the story or explanation of the events that were happening.
Another thing I wasn't too ecstatic about is how the author portrayed the heroine, sometimes she was tolerable but most of the time she was this big shy innocent girl who couldn't stand up for herself and had to have other people do it for her.
Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed this book and don't regret buying it but I wish the author put more time into it. I feel like it would've greatly benefited the storyline if she did because now I don't really want to read the third book, this plot went from one thing to another so quickly it gave me whiplash.
This was a solid second book of the series. I loved how most of the bullying finally got handled in this semester. I’m curious about Professor Phoenix and I really hope to learn more about her throughout the series. I like the little hints about her powers. I also loved learning more about Bri’s hidden 2nd gift. She’s turning out to be an unstoppable force. Watching her confidence grow slowly is perfect and fits with reality. The relationships are rolling out nice and slowly which is cool. I like a slow burn, especially considering Bri’s younger age. She’s not just jumping all in. I like the guys goofy and silly sides. I’m also glad Starlight was a bit more involved in scenes. Her start was so sad in the last book, that it’s nice to see her have some happiness again. I’ll be renting the 3rd in the series as soon as I’m done leaving this review. I hope the author keeps them coming!
While Bri starts her second semester at the academy what started out as a very hopeful beginning soon slipped back into more bullying. Brianne can’t stop the mean and vicious things that people are saying about her, much less the violent death threats that keep appearing in her locker.
What people failed to realize is that although Brianne is young and at times a bit naive, that doesn’t mean that she can’t protect herself or those she loves. With new friends who support her and the Notorious 4, Brianne faces down rumors and confronts someone from her past that she thought only wanted the best for her, turns out that sometimes when we lose someone something better off is waiting in the wings for us!
With her amazing men by her side, Brianne proves to herself and others just what she’s capable of...this is one book you won’t want to miss!
Ok, so I gave it only two stars. First of all, it was because of my personal likings... I try to get away from teenagers, so it is partly my fault for picking it up. However this second one needs someone to check the grammar because I kept finding mistakes and that is downright distracting! Then I still feel like the heroine is waaaaay too naive and pure or innocent or whatever. She is seventeen! She has what amounts to four boyfriends! Come on! And then the boys are blushing all the time... Again, my mistake. I need men, not boys to get my romance on. I also find the plot quite basic and ready made. Insta twin friends, insta enemies, insta boyfriends, etc. Also, I think there is too much introspection in the dialogues. They are all so smart and mature and goody two shoes that I just cannot stand so much sweetness all around.
I love this series...as soon as I started reading this book I could not put it down! It was great to read Bri getting closer to the guys, Jax and Conner the most but there is so must potential with Kaito and Finnick...cannot wait yo see how they all develop in the next book! Sure there was some stuff that frustrated me slightly...the bullies for one...but I can overcome this with the enjoyment of the book. I will say the second half was the best...the story really advanced here and you can tell the next book with be action packed! I hope they advance a bit more in their relationships and that we learn more about the shadow guys...and most of all I want bada$$ Bri to cone back out!! Oh and finally she has friends..hope we get more of the twins in book three. Highly recommended...bring on book three!!
Bri’s innocence is still over the top, and I can’t figure out why it’s set 100 years in the future since everything seems very 2019, but I love everything else. The guys are as sweet as ever, and we learn more of their backstories, as well as what Bri’s second power is. Bri has some personal growth with the help of her Notorious Four, her sister seems to be recovering a bit (I still want Starlight to have her own book) and we learn a little about the villains’ motivations. Book 2 ends too quickly (I want more!), but there’s no cliff-hanger and book 3 should be here soon. So far it’s been a book per Academy semester, so hopefully that means at least many more to come. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.
The second semester of Witchling Academy starts out with winter break and it gives the characters time to learn more about each other and some secrets that have occurred in the past. Once school starts, there’s a bit of a twist and it’s definitely not as bad in terms of bullying as the first semester! Bri still has some issues with Elijah and her self conifence, but it was great to see her learn throughout this book to be more confident with herself and her choices. This series is a slow burn, so nothing super physically intimate, but it’s a nice change to see the guys love Bri and more on an emotional level instead of just jumping right to sex. There’s a cute little surprise at the end, so I can’t wait for the next book to come out!
