One taste will never be enough...

You learn a lot about people pouring their drinks and London is what I would consider a regular.
Like clockwork, she’s been coming into my bar twice a week for the last year.
Besides her name, I've learned that she’s witty, beautiful, and unfortunately... taken.

She's in a relationship with a guy that I'm pretty sure doesn't deserve her.
Respecting that is the only thing stopping me from figuring out the things I really want to know.
Things like, what her body feels like against mine, or how she tastes on my tongue.

But one evening, everything changes. London comes in and tells me that they broke up.
One drink leads to two, and she finally confesses that this attraction isn't one sided.
Our slow burn is about to get blazing hot.

I wasn't just looking for a one-night stand, not with a girl like her.
But next thing you know, the ex is back. He's in my bar, sitting next to her.

We try to act like there isn’t a connection between us.
Like our bodies weren’t made for each other and we didn’t set each other aflame with a single kiss.
Every time I look at her, I see the flash in her eyes that tell me she’s remembering it too.
Re-living every delicious second of our time spent together on top of this very bar.

The problem is now that I know what she tastes like, I want more.
On the rocks. It’s how London prefers her drinks, and the current state of her relationship.
And I'm about to shake things up, because I’ll be damned if I let her get away.

I really, really liked this book! I was pleasantly surprised by it and that's a good thing, as you know, I'm really a cranky curmudgeon and all.

On The Rocks is a good read. It isn't your typical "romance" read, nor is it your typical "erotic" read, though it DOES have elements of both. You'll pull out your tissue while looking for fresh batteries!

Royce is Mr. Dark and Handsome and London is the Blond Bombshell who (of course) has a man that she is NOT happy with. Now...I may be a bit jaded but I WAS expecting a teensy bit more character development with the boyfriend, BUT he served his purpose.

Okay, I"ll be honest, I wanted him to be a serial killer who doesn't take rejection well...what can I say??

Royce is the town playboy with an interesting backstory that London finds irresistible BUT she is managing to resist. I love her best friend and party girl and the inclusion and ordinary treatment of LGBT characters is a big plus on my end.

What made this book good for me was that the lovemaking scenes were not only HOT but BELIEVABLE. And the romance in it was something I wanted, not sappy, not overly dripping with saccharine.

This is a thoughtfully written novel, one that leaves me hoping for a sequel!

On The Rocks (Kingston Brother #1) is the first novel in a new series that follows the four Kingston brothers. In On The Rocks, we meet Royce Kingston, owner of Kings Tavern. We also meet London, who hangs out at his bar with her friends on a regular basis. She is everything he wants. One little issue, she has a boyfriend. But one night everything changes.
This is an amazing slow burn romance. Royce and London are friends. The attraction is obviously there but there is nothing they can do about it while London has the boyfriend. So they really get to know and like each other. When London and Hunter break up and she finally gets with Royce I was screaming I was so happy. But of course, life is never that simple. Misunderstanding and feelings of obligation get in the way as London gets back with her boyfriend. I was as destroyed as Royce.
I loved Royce’s dedication to London. He remained her friend even when he was hurt by her actions. And he was a good friend, one of the people London could trust and rely on. Plus Royce is a dream in every way. I wanted her realize the boyfriend, while not a bad guy, just wasn’t her soulmate. Does London ever realize this or is Royce forced to move on?
All the characters in this book are amazing. Midge is a hoot. The Kingston brothers are all to die for! I cannot wait for Elijah, Cillian and Merrick to get their books. These brothers are hysterical, so hot and the strength of their relationship with each other was amazing. To be honest, I’m hoping Elijah is next up.
Overall, I can tell that this is going to be one of my favorite series based on how much I loved On The Rocks. The story just flowed, the characters were all well developed and likable; plus it was so funny, sexy and heartfelt. I liked how realistic the story was...how many people stay in a relationship because of a sense of duty and obligation instead of making their own happiness the priority? I know I have done this in my life. On The Rocks releases on 9/9/19.
I was gifted an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is the first novel in the Kingston Brothers series and having met them all in this book, I know we are in for a real treat when each of their stories are released.

On the Rocks focuses on Royce Kingston and holy schmoly there was nothing I didn't like about this man! I was a little jealous of London snagging Royce's attention but I really loved her personality and enjoyed their interactions - you could see how smitten they were with each other too!

The supporting characters in the book added to my overall enjoyment of this story. I've already mentioned Royce's brothers, they all seem like great guys and I am intrigued to learn more about them. London's friends are just like the lady herself - fun and caring and I'm certain you will love observing their friendship and the bond that the characters share.

This book was a great read. It held my attention perfectly and I wanted to keep turning the pages to discover what happened next. I'm certain you will enjoy it just as much as I have.

💖 Enjoyable fun and flirty book that I read in one hit. 💖

It’s been a long time since I’ve read anything from Isabel Lucero, so when the opportunity to review through my blog came up, I was in as quick as all hell. And, in being a contemporary romance, I was rather surprised that this book was completely different to her escort series, which is what I’ve read before. That being said, I still had to read it in one hit.

It was an easy read that I quickly fell all into, and I enjoyed the very descriptive writing which made envisaging the goings on so easy, almost as if I was sitting in the bar with the characters. Do not, however, mistake the term ‘very descriptive’ for an abundance of verbiage, because it wasn’t. There was merely enough to enjoy the banter and the body language of those people in the bar as they were introduced in the story, and interacted with each other. It was great.

Royce and London were both well written, although at one point I serioiusly wanted to b!tch slap her. But, I have to say that we all know people in her situation who have done similar things and yep, I wanted to slap the crap out of them as well. Hell’s teeth! I’d have kicked her to the kerb and taken up with Royce myself, but, it was her that his heart wanted and I just loved his tenacity and patience. He was totally swoon worthy to boot. Lucky for him, London’s best girl Midge was a long term friend of his, and she was is all about getting the right couple together.

In fact, I loved all of the characters, and the banter between them was often hilarious, ensuring that we have more in the series to anticipate. And, I’ve already developed a hope that some will pair off, but who know where the authors’ head is at until we read the books. 4 Stars.

When you find the perfect bar... and the bar tender is just as perfect? London found a great local spot close to home one problem the sexy bar tender Royce is even better than her Johnny Walker Black on the rocks.
London is funny and sweet and every thing that can break bad boy Royce of his one night stands no relationships. The only problem is her boy friend. To bad he was just a few days to late.
A year later and he can’t stop thinking about her she comes in twice a week sits on the same stool and has the same drink. He has asked her for months to break up with her boy friend.
London is falling for Royce but she’s in a ok relationship and feels like she can’t walk away for a bad boy with no chance of a relationship.
The more she goes into the bar the more she realizes she’s not happy. Can she walk away from a relationship for a maybe?
This book was so good I could not put it down I can’t wait for the next one!! I loved all the characters and the story it was one of those books you can’t wait to finish to see what happens.

On the Rocks was the first book I have read by Isabel Lucero and I LOVED it!!! I almost devoured this book in one sitting, if a pesky thing like work and sleep would not have gotten in the way!

This book is the first in the Kingston Brothers series(and I can NOT wait to read them all) In On the Rocks we meet London, who spends every Wednesday night in Royce Kingston's bar. You can definitely see the sparks flying between these two but there is one tiny problem........London's boyfriend Hunter!!! Oh and the fact that Royce is a playboy, who can get any girl with the twitch of his finger.

Finally London and Hunter break up and so London and Royce get their shot. Except for one tiny misunderstanding...London thinks it is only for one night, since that is Royce's history with women. Will they overcome this or will it just end up being the one night? I guess you will have to read to find out!!

I am giving this story 5 stars because there were parts that was just spot on. They spoke to me or I related to them on so many level. Royce, he came in guns blazing and was impossible to not fall in love with him as a reader or the fictional heroine in this book. Poor Sunshine, your heart or panties didn't have a chance.

Let me just leave this spoiler here and say..... that heartfelt conversation will have you sending text and tagging Isabel like crazy. I have SO many highlights it's not even funny.

I need mine On The Rocks as well but Makers Mark please Royce.

Adorable!

This is the first book in the Kingston Brothers series and we get to meet (and love) them all.

The author made a really good job of building the guys to be enticing. I loved their interactions, their closeness and loyalty, I loved how different they were and yet how supportive they were of each other.

This time, we get Royce (one of the brothers) and London's story. He was totally dreamy. Easy going, fun to be around, attentive, caring, respectful and sexy as heck. It was impossible not to love him.

London was nice, but she drove me mad most of the time. As the blurb indicated, she already had a boyfriend when she met Royce, but their chemistry was undeniable and their feelings were growing stronger and pulling them toward each other.
And let's face, her boyfriend wasn't all that amazing.

I understood her issues and conflictions, I really agreed to what her mother said to her at the end (I was thinking the same thing the whole time), but London seemed so imature most of the time.
And what really bothered me was because I thought she was being selfish. I mean, she was dating this guy she didn't like that much but she was undeniably flirting with the guy she really liked and she knew he liked her back. So she just strung them both along, keeping her boyfriend because he was a safe bet in case Royce didn't want something serious, but leading Royce on in case he made a move so she could dump the first guy.

Despite that, the book was really good, the secondary characters were amazing and I'm excited for more Kingston Brothers.

London and Royce, the sparks fly each time they meet but she has a boyfriend, Hunter, who really doesn't appreciate her, love the build up in this story, it's all about putting yourself first, just takes some people longer to get that.great friendships too, it was also refreshing to not have loads of unessasary sex scenes just for the sake of it, well done Isabel

Gaspar is where The Kingston Brothers live and that’s where you want to be.
Royce Kingston is one of four brothers, he’s the owner of Kings Tavern, he also has a fantastic relationship with his siblings, Merrick, Cillian & Elijah but he’s also known as the Ladies man of Gaspar but what he does want to know more of who is London Monroe.
London Monroe hasn’t always lived in Gaspar but she has settled here, works in a bank with her best friend Midge, loves spending time with her friends hanging out and can’t help the attraction she feels when she sees Royce Kingston.
Royce & London can’t help the flirtation they find themselves doing every time they see one another but there are obstacles in their way. Can they take the leap and give in to the attraction or do they just stay friends that is the question that you want to see them find because maybe they can find a HEA after all.

I received an ARC and I'm freely reviewing.

New author to me which works out perfectly because I get to start at the beginning of a series. And let me tell you, I'm absolutely looking forward to the brother's books.

Royce and London have known each other for about a year and flirted, fought their attraction due to London having a boyfriend. Then one night, London no longer has a boyfriend and fireworks ensue. So, to be honest, at times I wanted to pop in this story and smack London upside her head and tell her to get it together. And that's what makes it that much better because you're laughing along with them and frustrated for their gumption. But it works out for the best in the end.

Now. Who's next??

In this new series by Isabel Lucero, you meet Royce (sexy bar tender) and London, a frequent bar patron, as well as a host of quirky supporting characters that make this story fun and easy to lose yourself in. Royce has a history as a playboy, but meeting London has him considering a change in his ways. London is a fun loving frequent fixture in the bar, but the problem is, she also has a boyfriend.

Overall, this book takes you in, infuriates you a little bit, introduces some sexual chemistry and tension into your life. Don’t worry, it leaves you satisfied.

This is the 1st book in a new series, and is about the 4 Kingston brothers. This 1st book is about ladies man and bar owner Royce, and London who is a regular visitor to the pub with her friends. There is an undeniable chemistry between these two; however, there is an obstacle which is London’s boyfriend. This is a well written story which is realistic, humorous, fun, entertaining, and filled with miscommunication and witty banter. I cannot wait to read more in this intriguing series, and highly recommend this gifted authors’ work for all readers.

This is fun entertaining story . Royce is the owner of the pub and he only has eyes for London. She is smart, witty and they have this amazing chemistry, however the fly in the ointment is that she has a boyfriend. Can one night of unbridled passion make her give up what she has or not? This is the first book that I read form this author and I can't wait to read the rest of this series. I honestly volunteered to review a copy of this story.

This book y’all!! It was sinfully delicious! I loved the characters and their banter. And Royce..... well let’s just say he won me over immediately. Cocky and self assured. But not over the top. He’s perfect. This book is perfect. Isabel knocked it out of the park! I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. Her words are perfection!

I absolutely loved this story!
Start to finish, I could not put it down. I devoured it in one night! That’s how much I enjoyed it!

While it is a romance story between Royce and London, we also get many great friendships from this one. Add in Royce’s three brothers and we have the start of a great new series! (I’m guessing all four brother will have there own book. Fingers crossed Elijah’s is next.)

This is my first book by this author, but it won’t be my last.
I highly recommend you check this one out!

I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced, funny, sexy and sweet. The characters were fun loving too.
London and Royce have fun flirting back and forth, since she has a boyfriend. He's not interested in anything serious and as a bartender has plenty of women to enjoy.
There are some crazy fun parts in here that are truly laughable and some hot times as well. Getting these two together seems like it may never happen. Fun story. Highly enjoyable. Loved it 5/5

This is book 1 in the Kingston brothers series and after having been introduced to each brother in this book i can honestly say im impatient for the rest of the series.

In On The Rocks we meet Royce, the middle child of the bunch. Royce owns a bar and has feelings for a regular of his, London. The only problem with that is London has a boyfriend.....until one night she doesn’t and Royce can finally show her how he feels. Can it really be as simple as that though? Only one way to find out ;)

London has been harbouring secret feelings for Royce since she first walked into his bar, but she stays faithful to her boyfriend Hunter and buries those feelings. That is until one night she finds herself single and in the very arms of the man she has been craving since the very first time she laid eyes on him.

This book was full of angst, the back and forth had me frustrated and wanting to shout at my kindle on more then one occasion. Normally i avoid books where there may be a love triangle but since this one is a little different it didn’t really bother me. I can say there were times when London really annoyed the crap out of me and i felt so bad for Royce but overall im glad they got their HEA and i cant wait to read the rest in this series.

On the Rocks is the start to a new series, and after reading this first book, I'm already hooked. It will follow the 4 Kingston Brothers, and boy are they super sexy. It also takes place in a small town, and while I've never been one to want to live in a small town, I would totally live in this one. The first Kingston brother up is Royce, and he's the one who owns the Kings Tavern, so this is where he meets London, who stops in on a regular basis with her friends. Royce wants a taste of her badly, but there's one teeny tiny detail stopping him, her boyfriend. However, one night changes it all when London comes in & has broken up with said boyfriend. Seriously, this isn't your insta anything, as it's of the slow burn variety, so the push & pull hurts so good, since these two with serious chemistry are friends first & foremost. I wasn't a fan of London's boyfriend Hunter at all, so when they broke up, I was ready to stand up & cheer loudly. But, realistic life is never that cut & dried, and they didn't stay broken up, even though London was so much better off with Royce. So when Royce was hurt, I had his back to be honest, because stories like these where the hero is heartbroken, isn't the norm, and I could appreciate that so much! It's also quite refreshing to have a hero who isn't the playboy who is the one breaking the heroine's heart to be honest. Now, I must talk about the secondaries who seriously kept me laughing so hard, my stomach muscles are still aching like crazy. And with that small town charm, you already know that those who live there are also going to keep us laughing, and they did in spades. And that means that I CANNOT WAIT for the other 3 brothers stories to drop! So, does Royce ever end up with the girl? And/or does London ever make the better choice in Royce? For the answers to those questions, you'll have to one click this amazing story, as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Book one in this series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.

Royce begins the book with a fascination for London. The attraction is mutual. Their flirty banter is fun to read. London is in an unsatisfying relationship with Hunter. While she and Hunter, there is flirting, but no cheating. When London and Hunter break up, she comes to Royce. They have a wild and wonderful night together. Royce has fallen hard for her, but when he fails to communicate that, she ends up getting back together with Hunter.

I loved the journey both of these characters take on their way to each other. Royce has been a playboy who never got vulnerable enough to allow someone to get close. London has her own baggage that she needs to get beyond. I love how they eventually open up to each other and share their past hurts. I adore the friendship they form. I also really loved how Royce fought for his chance with London. There is plenty of heat in the few scenes where things get physical. There are also some funny moments. I loved being introduced to Royce's brothers and I am seriously looking forward to reading their books. I also really appreciated Midge and the friendship she has with London.

This was my first book by this author, and I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to meeting her at Indies Invade Philly and reading more of her work.

This is the first book in the Kingston Brothers series and it’s my first read by this author and I have to say o was so happy I read her!! This series will follow four brothers and it’s the type of book series I love!! I love getting to revisit the world the author creates and getting to see the previous couples in later books!!

Book one follows Royce Kingston and the heroine of this book is London. I really loved Royce!! He was sexy and swoon worthy and reading about him was so dang hot!!

I also really loved London! She was a good heroine and I loved her with Royce! This book had steam and sex appeal but also had some very emotional topics!

The supporting characters in this world were amazing!! I loved them almost as much as I loved the main characters!!! I can’t wait for the rest of the brothers story!!

I 100% recommend this story and I can’t wait for more from this world!!
