Reviewing thriller books, is one of my fav thing. Because, I've read many of them.
This book has interesting cover, author tried to keep the suspence in the book until the very end but just because I've read many crime and thriller books, the story of book was somehow predictable.
Other than everything looks good in the book i.e plot, narration, grammmar, writing, and presentation.

First of all, kudos to the author for creating such an awesome plot!
I've always watched such TV shows and movies filled with mystery and suspense. Reading this book instantly reminded me of them.
The book is about how a lawyer is murdered who was trying to keep a secret since long. And how his death leads to a puzzled mystery which this detective from New York solves. The book is full of surprise elements and will make you go Woah! every time!
One of the best murder mystery reads so far
Also the way, the author has used the element of chess makes the story all the more thrilling, how the murder mystery is compared with the game of chess.
If you like this genre, don't miss out on this book!

Page turner
This book was amazing but I still give it only 3stars as there were a lot of lines missing in each paragraph... This was my 1st experience where there were lines missing in page on a digital book. I could still manage to understand the story n follow the clues. It was quite frustrating when there were lines missing in the pages.. not sure if it's published in that way or I got a wrong copy . Nevertheless the story kept me hooked till the end and yes I suspected every character to be the killer. I did enjoy reading the book but it would have been better without the missing lines.

Good book
It's a good book to read
It's not so short and that's why somewhere see things being dragged.
If the length of the book was trimmed and the material condensed it would be great.

A thrilling thriller book
The cover is very simple but attractive.
The title is very catchy.
Narration of the book is very easy.
Story line is different and smooth.
Plot is interesting.
Characters are very real and different.
Book is enjoyable.
Hooked till the end.

The cover is very attractive and the title is very intriguing. Checkmate is something which indicates the winner whether it is for good or bad . The language is easy to read

Very interesting story!! Very well written and all the characters are portrayed beautifully. Till the climax, one is not able to decode the mystery. Amazing!
