Savage Heart

Still reeling from the loss of her father, she is confronted by his right-hand man to learn she controls her daddy’s empire. Although she wants no part of the street life, he’s able to convince her to attend a meeting that will change her life forever.Meeting Lark ‘Law’ Gutierrez makes Fawn want to reevaluate all her life choices. The only problem is that he is the kingpin in the streets of Laredo. It’s like she can’t escape the streets that have taken her family, because something about Law is pulling her to him like a fish on a hook. He shares her sentiments. This meeting forces her to take some sort of control of her father’s empire, and she soon learns that the hate that took her family from her isn’t over. As she and Lark become close, she realizes that he has her back in more ways than one, and will protect her, whatever the cost of that may be. Can she withstand the grit of the street life and hang on to what she’s built with Lark? Or will it overtake her and swallow her whole?

What can I say about Fawn and Lark!!!!!! The ultimate hood couple at it finest! They way they found each other wasn’t all the bells and whistles of the traditional boy meets girl but through loss. From the moment their eyes meet it was over.
From the club to that first phone call, they were thick as thieves. And their chemistry was haute and spicy!!! The seggs scenes were all the way vivid and I could visualize them all!!! He embodied THUG PASSION to the fullest.
Oh and let’s talk about Rou’s ole punk a@@, I remember him and his dad being mentioned in Ali’s book and I didn’t like him then. But to know that he had something to do with his own dad’s death yea he deserved what he got and then some.
And this chick Tee Tee, I wanted to unalive her myself with her trifling self. And that dude Slice with his ole std carrying a@@!!! I was so glad he got what he got! Law came through and got him plus his boys all together!!
I wanted to see Seth’s and Miko’s relationship play out, I need their story cuz I need to know what that last convo was lol

Lark and Fawn
Hey y’all!!!! Welp first off I love you too working together. Now Lark and Fawn’s attraction was permeating the pages. You right, they had sex a lot but it wasn’t like you didn’t want to read about it. As much as she didn’t want to be apart of the street ish, it was there. I knew Rou was on some BS, I’m just mad that she went behind her hubbys back. I felt larks love for her when she went to that funeral...I thought he was gone flip more, he handled it well and with love...NOW, I don’t like what happened to Fawn, I felt like she could’ve bosses up and fought some...I didn’t see her as a damsel in distress, that wasn’t her character, especially the way she handled Rou...it would’ve done me some good to see her and Lark handle Slice and Scoot. Nonetheless, awesome read and look forward to the next chapter.

Lawful Love
So good. I loved Law and Fawn. Their love and chemistry was palpable from day one! Their love helped them get through so much that kept getting thrown at them. Fawn is losing the people closest to her and time seems to be running out. 1-click and enjoy the chemistry between the 2 while they work on finding the enemy.

Steamy read
I really enjoyed this book, and couldn’t put it down! The characters names were unique and the more you get a chance to see how they grow and mature their names fit them well. I love the storyline and how the author kept adding twists and turns to the plot and you never knew was coming at you.

Good read!
Love, lust, betrayal and loyalty had this book rocking. Fawn was on my nerves sometimes but Lark was just everything. Their love was powerful and unconditional. I'm glad in the end everybody got what they deserved, good or bad!

That instant attraction is no joke, Fawn and Lark definitely experienced that and more they were like two puzzle pieces that just fit period ! I hate Fawn had to experience so much loss but her reward was unconditional love from Law who wasn't going at gunpoint about his lil baby doe !!! I hope to catch up with them when we get Smoke and Amiko story !!! Fyi that was hint we definitely need Smoke and Amiko story !!!!!

Wow this one right here. Lil baby doe and Lark I loved the connection that they had with each other. Those sex scenes was something else. The chemistry that they had was something else. How dare Roulette. I'm glad Jungle got out . I hate what happened to Fawn. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would . Also are we going to get a book on Smoke and Amiko.

Very Good Book
Damon Lark and Fawn had instant chemistry. They were so nasty but I loved it. I hated what happened to Fawn. Glad revenge was given for the wrong. Can't wait for the crossover novel. Very good book.

This book made me laugh, cry, curse, horny, mad, sad and happy all in one. That’s how good it was and well written. I fell in love with Lark, but Law could get it. He’s my little gentle gangster. My charming thug. He was all the way for Fawn from the beginning and played no games about her. And poor Fawn. Her life was so up and down but there is always sunlight after the storm. She deserved her happy ending. I won’t say anything about Roulette ole soft, snitching tail. He was shady from the get go. I knew it was a reason why they treated him like a step child (as they should have).
Now I just need to know how this conversation went with Storm and Amiko, so until next time...

The heart was not the only thing savage!
A Kingpin Lark, and a Queenpin Fawn, came together following the murder of the Queenpin's father and eldest brother! The street game in this story was short on loyalty from some members of both camps! One thing for sure Jungle's baby sister Fawn and her take no prisoners Kingpin husband Lark had their street game tight despite the tragedies that assailed them at two different times! To top things off, Lark found out that a member of Fawn's camp had instituted some payoffs to have Jungle locked up giving them a clear shot to take his and Fawn's family members out! Fawn was no joke the way she dealt with the traitor in her camp nor was Lark when he took out the men who kidnapped and violated Fawn! All is well that ends well though because both the Kingpin and the Queenpin got out of the game and now have twin extensions of themselves and their love! I really enjoyed Lark and Fawn's story even though much of it had me ready to catch a case until I remembered the characters were all fictional! Great job Monica, A truly truly great job.

This book was so good. From death, betrayal, instant attraction, sexual chemistry, love and loyalty, it's hard not to get wrapped up in Lark(Law) and Fawn. This book will have you fanning yourself from all the intense sex these two have. But aside from that Lark had her back from day one even when she couldn't believe that someone so close to her was so grimy. Rou definitely got what he deserved. I hated that Fawn had to go through a traumatic experience but she had a great support system in Lark. There was no denying their love and I was happy things ended for them not only as Mr and Mrs but with two new additions to the family. Now if only Amiko and Smoke can get their relationship together that would be great. Curious about that conversation they had. Overall great read. Highly recommend reading.

One Would Never Think From A Tragedy A Love Could Bloom!
Monica, lawd have mercy. How I love the journey of Lark and Fawn. The trails they had to go through to get to the finish line was so worth it in the end. Fawn, was so alone someone she thought loved her in real life actually they just wanted to see her demise. From her upbringing she jumped into the roll but she didn't want the job. Jungle will be able to pick up the baton and prayerfully, all will work out.🤗🤗🤗🤗

Hahaha they nasty y’all!!! I loved this story. I definitely read the breottes first so I read out of order and knew all the players before reading. I loved getting an origin story tho and really want an amino story so ima go find it if there is one and if not campaign for it. They were hilarious and nasty and I loved it. I loved them in jungle’s book so I’m glad I got to see their story unfold. Definitely a must read and I would advise before you read the Berotte series. Monica never disappoints so you can never go wrong.

Ice Queen & her Green-eyed Kingpin
I came to this book because of The Berotte Family Series. I read Jungle's story (Book 13) but when I got to Vegas' story (Book 15) I decided to read about their background. I also read "Shawty You For Me: Love in These Streets" by T. Key concurrently with this book.
I love Fawn & Law's journey to love. Once they were together, no one or nothing could come between them. Fawn was tough from being raised by her dad & brothers. Law was a bad mf & didn't take mess from anyone. They were everything each other needed. This book is action-packed.
I came to this book because of The Berotte Family Series. I read Jungle's story (Book 13) but when I got to Vegas' story (Book 15) I decided to read about their background. I also read "Shawty You For Me: Love in These Streets" by T. Key concurrently with this book.
I love Fawn & Law's journey to love. Once they were together, no one or nothing could come between them. Fawn was tough from being raised by her dad & brothers. Law was a bad mf & didn't take mess from anyone. They were everything each other needed. This book is action-packed.

Although tragedy brought them together, Lark and Fawn had a great love. Fawn lost a lot of loved ones, as well as Lark due to people that were supposed to snakes in their crew. Rou deserved the torture he received because of his dishonesty. The couple went through a lot of chaos just to be happy, but they got what they worked for. This was an amazing book and I hope to read more on Seth and Amiko.

Unrealistic
" I have to Dumb down for my audience ". Jay Z. I know author have to make money but this book was beneath you Monica Walters. I miss the intelligent writing and storytelling, that you did previous to this korn. I should have known better when I read the title Savage Heart. It is sad to know that this is what sell. 😤😥😣😮😦😧😨

Nonstop drama
OMG! When I say I couldn’t put this book down! From beginning to end I was fully enthralled. I wanted to put some bullets in some people too. That damn Tee Tee should’ve been caught some hands. Rou was as shady as they came with his fakeness. But in the end it was all good

Fantastic Book
I enjoyed reading this book so much! I couldn't put my kindle down! I enjoyed Fawn and Law journey to love! This book had it all! It was action packed and had plenty of love scenes! It kept me on the edge of my seat! I enjoyed the storyline and the chemistry between Fawn and Law! Such a fantastic book!

Hmmm, was okay read! I didn't like Fawn's character at first but she redeemed herself after. I knew Rou was up to no good! Smh....snitches get stitches bruh! Lark was the Alpha! Lots of steamy intimate moments between Fawn and Lark! This is the most I have read from Mo so far.
