Charlie Avery is hoping to find direction when she arrives in Ireland, but feels more lost than ever, until she meets the mysterious Aiden who offers her the adventure of a lifetime. The only catch? She has to pretend to be his girlfriend at a family wedding.
A Royal Wedding.
Aiden, the second eldest prince of Lochland, is used to being recognized, so when he meets Charlie and realizes she thinks he’s a normal guy he takes a chance and invites her into his world.
When Charlie discovers the truth will she forgive Aiden and keep up the act or run from the feelings building in her heart?
Brittney has been an avid reader since she can remember. Her parents' form of punishment for her growing up was taking away her books and making her go outside to play. She was born and raised in Southern California, with a brief hiatus in Arizona. She loves the beach, exercising, sleeping in, and cookies. She is an obsessive dog lover, although her affection currently has no outlet. Something that she is planning on remedying soon. She and her husband currently reside in the Rocky Mountains exploring and hiking as much as possible.
This was my first book by Brittney Mulliner and it was a cute read! The cover is gorgeous!! It could have used an additional set of eyes for editing but that didn't take away too much from the cute story. Charlie just graduated from college and is eager and scared to branch out on her own. So, her parents help send her to the Emerald Isle for some family history and a jaunt through London, lucky her! However, realizing the trip is more money than she expected, big surprise, she decides to just go back home prior to making it to Galway, where her deceased mother's family is from. Sad. But never fear, a handsome stranger, with a witty "side-kick" show up to save the day! Just don't think about the movie Taken, okay. This is a clean book! Aiden is a prince but is relived to finally meet someone who doesn't know who he is. Not sure where people meet princes "undercover" but please direct me! He is eager to help the struggling Charlie out of her dilemma! Whew...worried there for a minute! As they prance over Galway, literally the next day, they both could feel the pull of "there's something here that needs to be discovered." So, Aiden asks Charlie to attend a family wedding. It all spills out! He's a prince! Not the crown prince but a prince nonetheless. It really is a cute and fast read! Isla was my favorite character, Aiden's sister. There was some witty banter and sarcasm that kept me laughing! Overall, not a bad read! I'll probably continue the series when I can fit it into my TBR pile.
What fun!! This is probably a tiny fraction of what Megan Markle had to go through. It is a wonderful dream!! I loved the Ireland start too!! Bucket list trip!
I love a good love story that is a love story not a "try it before you buy it" story. Where the couple meet and love takes it course. The characters are believable and overcoming problems leads to deeper feelings. Looking forward to the next book and the weddings. This is a good book and makes me want more.
It's a cute, sorta cheesy romance. Normal girl meets guy while traveling and learns he's a prince! It has everything you could want ie. travel, royalty, and romance. It's a bit cheesy in the sense that everything works out for the happy couple and everyone is accepting. It's wrapped up in the sense that the couple gets a happy ending, but I would like to know, "What happens next?" I know there are at least 2 more books in the series, but based on summaries, it appears they focus on the side characters. Hopefully, they fill in some questions I have about this couple within the pages of sequels.
Not totally similar, but gives me The Prince & Me vibes. You know the teen rom-con starring Luke Mably as the Prince of Denmark who goes to a small Wisconsin college becoming Eddie who meets Paige (Julia Stiles) a pre-med student. They fall in love, she finds out he's a prince and follows him to Denmark where she has her fairytale moment. Totally cute and this book brought me back to my memories of watching a favorite movie.
For starters, that cover! It is 99% the reason I picked this book up, how stunning! I’m on a royalty kick right now. Loving the modern royalty of little unknown countries in Europe. Overall a short and sweet story, if a little quick. It’s over a week. But it helps that the story itself acknowledges that it’s fast and crazy. Lol
I’m sceptical of reading the next book, Cians story! He’s so grouchy and high strung all the time. I’m hoping to see some redeeming qualities but I might need to take a breather before giving his story a chance. Especially coming from this story where they are literally the sweetest, most down to earth couple.
If you’re looking for a short, sweet and fun royal romance, give this one a try! They’re adorable!
This book was fun, delightful, and cute! However, I think it would have benefitted from an editor, as there were many type-os and just some small details that could have been squared up.
The writer is clearly talented and I can’t figure out why this hasn’t been grabbed up by a publishing house?
***SPOILER***
My personal preference would have been to see a little bit more conflict. For instance, she stays madder for longer, or the ex leaks more than just a photo of them, or a short breakup.... or some kind of drama to spice things up? It was all a little too smooth... but again, super adorable and I read it in one day!
Charlie had graduated and wanted to tour Ireland before she seriously had to find a job in the States. Aiden was on a business trip when he ran into Charlie. She was gorgeous, fun, and had no idea who he was. Aiden was intrigued and wanted to get to know her better, hence his invitation to accompany him to a family wedding. Let the fun begin! I love both their characters and their families. The dialog and bantering are excellent, and the chemistry between Aiden and Charlie is spot on. Fun book that ends well. I'll definitely be reading the next in the series.
A great story, a modern day fairytale. I loved Charlies’s character, she was sweet, innocent, trustworthy, and immediately likable. I loved that neither she or Aiden had any skeletons in the closet, no playboy prince stories. Just two nice people (one being a royal of course) getting to know each other and falling in love. It was a quick read because you just get wrapped up in the story. Fun, highly recommend. Rating: G, great for the whole family, clean Already downloading the next one!
Adorable, this was a very sweet love story. There was very little drama, and it was solved quickly. The author does a great job developing the characters and making it feel like a fairytale. The only thing I didn’t really care for was the physical side of the couples relationship. They only kiss, not really a bad thing because it made the book sweeter, but it was just a little too sweet. This is the first book of hers I have read and I am very excited to read another one.
This is the first book I read from this author and I enjoyed it. And that she did a good job with more realistic relationship for most of the book, where there not instantly in love. The only thing I would change is it was pretty not believable that he could keep his identity a secret for as long as he thought he could. But I still it enjoyed the book.
Absolutely gorgeous cover, one of the best I’ve seen on a book.
Charlie meets a prince while travelling in Ireland but hasn't a clue. Aiden is only too happy to be unrecognized while he gets to know Charlie. This book is the perfect length and a really cute romance. The characters are endearing, except for maybe the oldest brother. A great story, and I look forward to reading more in the series. I would've given it five stars, but it needs some minor editing. Still very enjoyable anyway.
I would never want to be a royal, but I gotta admit they’re a fun read
This was a great book fast enjoyable, good character development happy ending. I enjoyed this book. I look forward to more in a series that continues the stories of the Royals of Lochland. Each of the main siblings have a future story that should be fun to unfold and meanwhile, it would be great to continue with Charlie and Aiden.
From the first word to the last I was captivated. So fun to read about Ireland, it really makes you want to go there. The characters are charming and relatable. Can’t wait for the next book in the series. Love all the books by this author. She is so talented and takes you on such wonderful journeys.
This was a cute Royal romance! I loved how they met in Ireland and went to the same destinations I went to in Ireland a few months ago. This reminded me of those sweet Hallmark Royal romance movies...so, if you love those I highly recommend this book!
Now I'm excited to read the next book which is about his brother - Cian, the crown prince of Lochland.
Charlie doesn’t know who he is, until Aiden takes her home to meet his family, then she realizes that she is traveling with a prince. This is the story him Charlie and Aiden try to make things work, between a mid-west all American girl and a CEO prince. Clean story, ended a little more abrupt then I wanted but an all in all great love story
I really enjoyed this book. This was a new author to me and I am always a little worried when reading a new author. It I shouldn’t have been. I liked how this book moved forward and had small bits of drama and no great big turning point. I am getting ready to start book number 2 with anticipation!
I wish there would have been more to the Aiden and Charlie’s story I wanted a wedding. I can’t wait till October for Cain’s story. I love All this authors books have read almost all loved the hockey ones.
An enjoyable Royal meeting. This is obviously the first book in a romance series. There were some obvious bumps in this book and I'm sure more are to come. I enjoyed the banter between the two and wonder what else will go on. Could be believable.
This is a refreshingly sweet and enjoyable love story with endearing and adorable characters that will steal your heart from the very beginning as they journey towards unconditional love and family.
Modern royal romances are a guilty pleasure if mine. I love when they describe a far-off European country, real or imagined, with beautiful lands and architecture. This story fit right in and I look forward to more in the series.
I LoveD this royal family romance , it was filled with sweet and intriguing moments between the characters. It's a great look into what it must be like for two people who have completely different backgrounds to find love!
Good clean lovely story but just felt like it was rushed and missing something. I literally did “that was it” when I got to the last page. But a very much appreciate explain story and it was totally appropriate for my daughter who loves royal books.
How in the world would it be to find a Prince? Charlie on vacation did just that. Surprisingly she didn’t know he was royal. Prince Aiden was happy to be treated as a regular person but fell in love with Charlie. His family also likes her.
I would love for this book to be made into a Hallmark movie. I can already see the characters and the scenery. Such a love tale of 2 people in the right place at the right time.
Modern royalty story. I liked the characters, especially the sibling relationships between the Princes and Princess. Clean story. There was one make-out scene I didn't care for, but it was mild.
Loved everything about this story. The characters, the bigger than life scenes and the emotion the author easily drags right out of you. Melted my heart.
