Creative Tech has been one of the most successful IT companies in India during the last two decades. Only that it has started faltering of late. In a challenging and tumultuous business set-up, Marshal Scott, a newly hired American CEO, embarks on a transformation journey that starts on a high note, but soon gets entangled with many unexpected issues. The employees experience disenchantment with the demanding leadership, frequent policy changes and cultural conflicts. Satvik, a mid-level manager sees the direct implications of these changes that lead to multiple business disruptions and exits of many of his colleagues. Will things ever be same the again? Can Creative Tech tide over the disruption wave and reclaim its glorious past? What does employment mean for individuals and the corporate in the new digital world? Will the future of work be different from what was perfected after the Industrial Revolution?

The IT industry that is booming these days has its own drawback as well. Digital disruption is something that has taken the IT industry by storm. The author has tried to show a clear picture of the insights and the office politics that exists between the employees and the bosses. One needs to keep oneself updated in order to avoid some embarrassing situations and so as to avoid being handed over the pink slip unexpectedly
What I liked? The job insecurity, the unrealistic expectations, unachievable targets from the higher ups to the ground level staff is something that was portrayed well The 4 phases of the corporate career along with the IT life has been explained well with simple examples.
What I didn't like? There was nothing for me to dislike just that it has been written in such a way that only people with IT background can understand certain terms.
Title : Who stole my job? by Sunil Mishra Page count : 180
Review : 🌟Plot - The story starts with a discussion between Satvik and Ajesh about the appointment of a new CEO. Satvik and Ajesh are the employees in creative tech working for over many years and they've seen the company grow. The story moves further when the Marshal is appointed as the CEO of Creative Tech and everything goes well initially but not everything stays rosy forever, right? Marshal makes some important decisions for the betterment of the company and fires Vikas, a senior manager in Creative Tech, which created fear among all the employees. The rosy period got over and many criticisms were directed towards Marshal which affected the company also. Satvik could see what was happening and it's impact in the future but how could he stop it? Could he ? Read the story to find out what happens with the Creative Tech and what step will Satvik and Vikas take that will change their destiny. . .
🌟 Title is apt and goes perfectly well with the story and cover was catchy.
🌟 Language is easily understandable and the use of simple words makes the book a perfect read for the beginners also.
🌟 The book gave a detailed picture of how IT industry works and for a layman like me it was Great and I could understand many things about the IT sector.
🌟 Story is fast paced and will keep the readers hooked to it.
🌟 The narration was perfect and all the working class people could relate to this story.
Story of Vikas and Satvik . A journey towards a self discovery in the startup world and some motivational inspirations. The story makes complete picture of employees working in an IT company and hardships faced by them in the due course. The character of Satvik , an IT employee is described very. What will he do once , when he loses his job ? how will he able to reestablish himself ? How will he get his life back to track? What will he do next ?
Would highly recommend this book not only to People with IT background but to all people who have a burst for technology and startup . Also the language is lucid and shows author's experience in this sector to write such story with Such deep details.
Name of the book - Who Stole My Job? By Sunil Mishra. Stars given- 5 on 5 stars. My take on the book- Just a few days ago I was having this conversation with a friend that how different is the job life from the one we imagined for myself. From crappy workload to idea stealing co workers, from moronic bosses to idiotic clients , workplace is a jungle where weird stuff just keep on happening one after another without a stop. This book talks about incidents that are so relatable that one can see them happening in real life. The language is simple and makes the story it's main hero. I really enjoyed reading this book. QOTD - Worst thing that happened to you on the job?
Satvik is a mid level manager and has been working for over a decade with Creative Tech. Creative Tech has been struggling on the revenue front for a while which forces their management to bring in a new CEO Marshal, however the catch being Marshal is based out of the US while Creative Tech operates out of India.
The initial days after Marshal takes over the reign sound exciting for the employees, shareholders and media as he announces multiple changes to existing policies, vision for a digital transformation of the org and hence their clients, some impressive sops for employees. However, in an attempt to bring quick turnaround, Marshal implements ideas that are rampant in US like sudden firing of senior employees, setting unrealistic growth targets and to some extent manipulating the revenue figures with false numbers.
Out of growing impatience to deliver his promises, Marshal further fumbles on strategy front, losing trust of employees, shareholders and media who once hailed him as a wonder. How this affects Satwik’s life, career and his outlook towards profession and what holds for the future of Marshal and Creative Tech forms the rest of the story.
The author takes up a realistic and fresh theme and weaves a story around the transformation journey a company undertakes with a new CEO. The variation in point of view of Satwik and his colleague Ajesh is brought out well all through the book, which depicts the two extremes and different opinions individuals can have over the same topic. Satwik’s interactions with his boss and mentor Vikas are equally interesting. The subtle message of how life in corporate world can look dreamy from outside but the reality can be totally different is brought out well.
However, the book is strictly for people working in the IT sector or those aspiring to work there in future. A lot of jargon, details mentioned by author especially after Marshal takes charge can be boring and non-relevant for people from other sectors. While the author sticks honestly to the theme and story, that can be major disappointment for those who expect drama. If corporate life and inside stories interest you, then this is a must read.
Book- Who Stole My Job Author- Sunil Mishra Length- 180 pages
My Review-
As the name suggests, it's a book based on a IT based company which has been leading since quite a long. But what meets the eye is not always the truth. Satvik, the main character, is soon caught up in the company's disruptions.
The language used by the author is very simple and lucid. It does use a few jargons used by engineers here and there but not too frequently. The book shows the stark issue that people in the IT sector face a lot of times. And since it's written by someone who has seen it himself, it's quite nicely portrayed.
The cover matches the content and title very aptly. It's a short book so you can easily finish it in one go. If you have already faced such issues or if you are an engineer yourself, then this might be just what you are looking to read.
The startup industry/ IT field has both pros and cons, though it is booming it has its own drawbacks. being in the IT field there are many pros and cons, there is job insecurity, and the fact is if you want to survive you need to upgrade with the latest technology. This story gets us a complete picture of employees working in an IT company and hardships faced by them in the due course, like policy changes, and demanding leadership. Does everything stay right and rosy after Marshal is appointed as the CEO of Creative Tech? Will satvik able to survive?
What I like about it are the lessons the writer gives, telling us about the importance of having different life skills for surviving in the IT industry.
What will satvik do after that? what are the skills to survive? Read to know more !!
It hurts, when it works. Saying no to new learning in your profession is like saying no to refuel your car on long drive !!
Who Stole my Job is a realistic thought provoking book which represents how a poor conflict management of cultural changes can be a barrier to turnaround of a gigantic company looking for a severe transformation. Book is about a IT company looking up for a transformation into a digital company. Board hired an external CEO from another country, who faced it extremely difficult to align the company’s strategies with the existing cultural environment. Consequences of poor conflict management started reflecting out and top management also started struggling along with mid level management.
Book presents practical management ideas that are relatable to real life business management(though the IT industry was used as emblem in the book). Innovation and transformation are necessary but these can not be laid on cost of poor Cultural management. The best thing I liked about the book was the mentioning of facts and figures in the book which were very practical, relatable and realistic.
1. The title of the book as well as the cover of the book was very intriguing and enthralling. Titles of each section were also in alignment with the content of the section. 2. The characters were portrayed very stunningly with good names and strong personalities. 3. Language of the book was very comfortable and simple. Use of exact appropriate terminologies for various designations in IT industry was quite impressing. 4. The book gives many real life lessons for a person. Reference to Carl Benedikt and Michael Osborne’s report was quite appreciable. 5. Plot of the book was strong, realistic and practical. Book endeavoured to represent the picture of transformation in current IT industry. 6. Though book did not had the index, the story was divided into various small sections, each section being the quite fascinating.
Things I didn’t like- 1. At few sections, book turned to be too precise with IT terms (stages of corporate career at IT industry) which made it difficult for readers to understand. 2. Though the book presented good practical lessons, the story in the Book left quite unattended and not explained properly at some places. (Like second investigation by Board as a good corporate governance practice)
Overall book was fantastic with lot of insights. I strongly recommend this book for employees in service industry and especially at mid to higher levels.
Disclaimer- Received review copy in return for an honest unbiased review.
The book “Who Stole my Job” is based on reality of today’s corporate life where skills have become a necessity. This book shows the current scenario of the IIT sector. The central character of the book Satvik is mid - level manager in an Indian IT company Creative Tech which has been flourishing from past 2 decades. Marshal, the newly appointed American CEO tries to change the company and its culture. He sets target to motivate his employees. But the sky high target don’t get the desired effect and we see the effect it has on company. The book has shown the impact of digitalisation as well as the politics in the companies on the people. The book shows how people who don't update themselves with the ever changing technologies suffer most. The title of the book is eye catching and attracts you the book. The cover of the book is also intriguing and attractive. Language of the book is easy and simple. Characters are well developed. I liked Vikas's character and his deep understanding over the matters. Book gives detailed information about the corporate sector and people related to this sector should give this book a try. However, in between I felt that book was stretched. But what happens next, kept me hooked till the end. Recommended : Yes, to all the corporate people and others too.
2019: 48 . 🍁 . Who Stole My Job Sunil Mishra Srishti Publications 2019. Pp - 180. . // Work keeps at bay three great evils: boredom, vice, and need. // ~Voltaire . Creative Tech is one of best IT companies in the country, for years now. It's at its high when Arvind Shankar is replaced with Marshal Scott as the new CEO, with great tasks ahead of him. It's only a matter of time now that Creative Tech and the life of its employees will never be the same again. A transformation is visible. But at what cost? Read on to find out. . The book opens with Satvik Saxena, an employee, getting to know of this new development at his company. As a character, he's important for us. Sativik is our eyes into Creative Tech. He is our window, offering us a peak into the happenings of the company and their effects on the lives of its employees. . I have different opinions on this one, as a book and as a story.
Firstly, as a story, I believe that the plot line could have been made a little more engrossing and exciting, softening the technicality and the detailing. And the cover and the blurb, even though is on point in all its honesty, could have used some creativity.
There were a few glitches in the storyline as well. Specially the contradictory nature of the flowery picture painted of the company in beginning as opposed to the evident dissatisfaction of its employees (all this before the new CEO comes into the picture).
Also, some might like the bold highlighted texts that show the new CEO's vision, but I personally didn't. It made me feel like I was reading a report or a document than a story.
And finally, the characters could have been built a little strongly, specially the character of Vikas. I feel he's not just important for Satvik, but us readers too. And by now I think it's safe to say I liked Vikas's character much more than Sativik's.
It's not Sativik's narration but the discussion between him and Ajesh and him and Vikas that helps us understand the book better. I would have liked it if Sativik too was more than just as a receiver of all that's going on in the company.
Maybe it's because of this that the narration felt slow and sometimes even monotonous. At some points, the author just lost me with the details.
It took me a while to build a flow into this book, but 50 pages or so into the story, I developed interest. . Otherwise, as a book, I appreciate it for many reasons.
* It provides us with an insight into the corporate world, a first hand experience.
* One part that I liked and found very relevant and would like to mention, was the one in the shift in principal policy of hiring, modifying the larger company dynamics- from 'earn in dollars and spend in money' as the growth mantra and motivation for employees to the threat of international hiring. Issues like these in a growing global market of today are quite relevant. Expatriation, repatriation, IHRM, are budding issues.
* Having studied papers on HR and organisational behavior in my final semesters, I had some background of the technical terms used here like 'attrition', 'acquisition', etc. but many people might face this problem and a gap would come in understanding.
* Another thing I liked was how the story is not gives us not just an employee's perspective, through Satvik (and sometimes Ajesh and Vikas) but also goes beyond to the leader's perspective, the hardships that go into making a company success and the journey, through Marshal's eyes.
* It also brushes the struggle for a generation that is neither here nor there. Not all in but not all back, either. I don't know if I make sense, but Who Stole My Job is also a story of this struggle, of people working in a company for more than a decade, dealing and adjusting to new socio-cultural changes around the world, and at times, even feeling betrayed after all the hard work they've put in. . A 3 on 5. Therefore, it's at least a one time read for everyone, not for leisure but as an insightful experience. . . #bookstagramindia #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #review #bookreview #readdreamrepeat #blogger #bookblogger #delhibookstagrammer #indianblogger #igreads #delhiblogger #unitedbookstagram #delhibookstagramfam #bookishfeatures #delhibookstagrammer #indianblogger #delhifambam #corporates #corporatesectorbooks #booksonIT
Creative Tech, a flourishing company based in Bangalore, has changed its CEO to race with the competitors who were already leading in the digital race. Marshal Scott, the newly appointed CEO from US takes up the challenge to get Creative Tech into digital track. As expected, Marshal's first year gave employees and media, a new hope about the digitalisation of Creative Tech as his knowledge about digital world left everyone amused and his targets for the future years boosted everyone.
But the further years weren't as expected and Creative Tech became a snack for media for the CEO's suggestions for the development of the company and the sudden lay offs. When Marshal was alleged with accusations and his ideas were called scam, he was left with a Hobson choice. What did Marshal choose? Was he able to reach the set targets? How his ideas impacted the employees of Creative Tech? Was Creative Tech able to overcome all the allegations and get back on the track? How the orthodox employees are going to accept the digitalisation of the company??
Read the book to find the answers and to learn some important lessons which we thought weren't necessary.

The way the author narrated the whole concept of digital disruption through a character, Satvik, an employee of Creative Tech, who had no idea what "digital" meant and was forced to take in the changes of digitalisation of his company. The characters are sketched so well and the character of Satvik showcases every aspiring persons who enter into IT sector to make it big in the IT world. The accurate facts and the examples makes the book so relatable. The narration and the well divided chapters hooks the readers with the book till the end. The six tools of transformation stated by Marshal gives an insight into the IT sector. The conversation between Satvik, Vikash and Ajesh shows us the different perspectives of people working in an IT sector. The book is on point and every words add value to the book. The language is lucid and the usage of simple words makes it an easy read ( though it has jargons used by engineers and business people ). This book has valuable lessons which are to be followed by every aspiring person to survive the rat race.
This book speaks in volumes about how the sudden digitalisation of the world has impacted the lives of people working in different levels of the same company. It not only spoke about the hurdles every company undergoes, but also this book rendered thorough insight into the reasons for the failure. At the end, the book refreshes your mind and for sure, sets you back on track.
Some quotes I loved :
Large corporations are run by few smart people. It is not the event but our response to the same makes the difference between success and failure.
The title and cover page aptly suits the book and the blurb gives a proper insight to the story hidden underneath.

Who stole my job by Sunil Mishra is a story about the demand of skills in modern day employment.
The plot of this novel is really interesting as it is been narrated from viewpoint of one of the employee of Creative Tech which has been one of the successful IT companies.
How things change when an American CEO is hired to grow the revenue of the company, who cares more about the revenue than the employees of the company.
How will the employees of company will be able to handle with new CEO and upgraded technology required to continue their jobs? Read this amazing book to find out.
The book emphasizes on requirement of skills for getting employment and saving the job and it is really a thing we should be aware about.
Characters of Satvik and CEO Marshal are developed pretty well, the book is written in lucid language with terrific narration which allowed me to finish novel in a one go. It has amazing learning lessons as well.
Although, I believe cover of the book could have been a bit better as it makes an impression on to the readers, but title is apt to the story.
Overall it is a good read especially for the youth, which can help in exploring the employment situation in our country.
It is a fiction for readers who like reading books that are more into real life digital world jobs like IT sector where the management and including constant creative ideas play a big role. Long hours of work that define sometimes their identity. This fiction however talks about an interesting topic that if large centralized organizations can still survive the constant updating technological world without including flexibility. So including small start ups can bring profit but also including new ideas have bigger risk even with unknown small failure for existing customer base . Author has included good thoughtful ideas for present youth. So can a small start up be a good choice to take leap of faith or should one be in secure job place even if it brings mental dissatisfaction. The story has few characters defined nicely . Satvik’s character is quite interesting who is inquisitive. Along with some twists of investigation of some fraudulent activities and when a Established company goes down but again slowly is catching up if in such an digitally revolutionizing era a startup is a good idea or not this book presents with twists at the end . More of a story that talks about work place dilemma’s and market strategies. Rate : 3.5/5
‘Who Stole My Job?’ is a thought-provoking story of mid-level manager, Satvik from a gigantic Indian company, whose professional life turned upside down when his company hires a new American CEO. He was hired to bring the digital transformation in the company and achieve great heights with it but unfortunately, he fails to align with company and its culture and in turn, tries to line up the company according to him which leads to multiple business disruptions and inner conflicts. Due to all these chaos, the company starts to fall apart and between all these, Satvik’s colleagues started to leave the company, making his survival more difficult there. He torn out between his love for his company, to which he has given 15 years of his life and his survival in it.
The book shows us the bigger picture by representing how poor management and cultural difference can be a barrier for a company which is looking for transformation and outlines how the need for transformation cannot be achieved at the cost of cultural change. It tears the whole organization apart. It also outlines the reason for which one needs to consider the adaptation of new technology and environment into one’s life and, learn and develop new skills with time.
The plot is simple yet engaging. The basic encounters one face in an IT job has been put forward amazingly. Characters have been developed properly as needed and possess strong personalities. Every scene is portrayed well. The setting is also simple and nicely written, no part of any scene was left undescribed.
Cover of the book clearly sketches the story and title is well suited and catchy. Language is good and understandable. Though there were some jargons as the book is related to technology. It depicts that the author uses his background well while writing the book.
Narration is proper and the story is explained from the perspective of different people in the same organization. It is amazing to see how one story looks different from everyone’s perspective. The pace of the book is comfortable and a little slow at some parts. There are a couple of typographical errors.
Deep concerns of a common, as well as a high profile man, is neatly written. All the information in the book is backed up by real facts, some of them I have already heard of, one of it is Carl Benedict Frey and Michael A. Osborne’s paper ‘Future of Employment’. Proper use of real information at the correct place is really impressive.
Overall, it is a fantastic and informative read. It entertains a specific set of audience who are interested in realistic fiction, office politics, and everyone, who wants a simple yet exciting plot with an informative read. Being an engineer, I related to it a lot and loved it.
‘There are three poisons in this world; first one is salary and rest two do not matter.’

Will things ever be same the again? Can Creative Tech tide over the disruption wave and reclaim its glorious past?
The plot is fast paced and engaging. The characters are well developed. The english is good amd makes understanding the character's emotions easy. This story will be very relatable to the people who have worked in the IT industry or even a corporate set up.The perspectives and attitudes of the various managerial positions to a disruption in the field are shown. They all see the same change very differently and that forms the premise of the story. Recommended for all the corporate slaves of today.
A cover which shows a image of a man who is assumed to be returning from his workplace.. The tile which coincides with the cover , which gives pre-readers an assumption that the story is about a person and he losing his job. So cover and the title matches and is thoughtful.
The book literally portraits events and cases which actually happens in a IT Corporate world. The character of Satvik , an IT employee is described very well I should say. What will he do once he loses his job , how will he able to reestablish himself and get his life back to track?
The language used throughout the plot is simple English with little or no exaggerations. The plot also is narrated in a par manner which has a medium level of brush ups
I do work in a corporate IT firm , so there are many cases which are been described within the plot which I could co-relate to. Satvik character is presented beautifully and it also over flows how the corporate world works
This book is about the real life scenario of IT companies in India and the experience of IT personnel working in these companies. It is about the life of Satvik, the lead character in the story. Satvik works in an IT company, Creative Tech. The book talks about how and what all he faces as an IT guy at Creative Tech, company, and when the going gets tough, how he also loses his job and then reinvents himself.
This story perfectly depicts the life of every IT guy and about how every IT company works. The typical 4 tiered system, the 2x2 matrix of disintegrating the employees and the managers.
All in all, the book is about the ever changing scenarios of these companies and how the employees tackle them on an everyday basis, and the ones who are not able to, lose their job just like Satvik.
Easy and understandable narration makes it a comfortable read throughout, an amazing book for all the IT personnel or the ones willing to join the IT sector. The book is of average length of about 180 pages, can be finished in one sitting.
If you have worked in an IT Firm, you will be able to relate to the story with ease. The story begins with the company (Creative Tech) hiring a new American CEO name Marshal, with an expectation to help their business grow. Marshal began his journey at Creative Tech on a powerful and energetic note laying emphasis on the digital transformations that the company needs. Adding a visionary leader to the top management of the company comes with its own set of challenges. The story is about all the challenges the management and employees had to face. Was hiring Marshal Scott the right decision for Creative Tech? for this you got to read the book.
On a personal note: I struggled to read the book, but having been a part of one of the Big four in India, the challenges highlighted in the book were very close to reality. The story also reflects the broader picture of the current work environment in many IT firms. If you are aspiring to become a part of the IT crowd of the country, this book is going to be like a movie trailer for you.
‘Who stole my job’ is a very realistic and relatable story. The author created a fictional world which actually depicts the real situation in the IT sector. The book is about a guy from IT sector called Satvik. He struggles through the tough reality of life and work. It’s about his situations. The path through the highs and low. Losing his job and rebuilding himself is a tough and commendable journey. The book is a great read, but will be more suitable for IT related people. The book contains such detailed information about this profession. Sunil, himself is deeply connected to this sector which shows in his work. It brings out the reality to all the dreamers. To me, the book got a little boring at times, due to the technical information. The story itself is great and motivational. The writing is good and language is simple. I’ve rated this book a 3.5/5 🌟.

OPINION- 🌸 The cover is a guy looking out to the skyscrapers wearing formals, sort of aptly depicts the story. The title is intriguing and well justified. 🌸There are many characters the important ones being Vikash, Satvik, Ajesh and Marshal. Characterization is okay okay, it sort of describes how every person is a different being altogether. Character development was real. 🌸 Story is mostly narrated through Satvik's view point. The narration is smooth with moderate pace. Colloquial language with sufficient Technical terms is used. 🌸 The thing I loved the most is the usage of Stories to teach lessons. Change is a constant of its own. We must continue to learn and adapt. Dinosaurs didn't adapt, so they died. Survival for the fittest should be the motto. Learn, adapt and success will come. When we stop learning, our lives get stagnant. 🌸The story is realistic and relatable. A bit too much of office talk which I couldn't understand sometimes. I felt lack of emotions but it was filled in with the realistic view of the IT industry. 🌸The plot is good, touched the topic of Startups, comparison of social and corporate setups.
'Who Stole My Job?' by Sunil Mishra was a most pleasant surprise. Discovering that the one and only goal of any business is making money and this could only be achieved by a smooth flow of the work and our most important management task is to prevent any resistance slowing it was eye opening.
Management here seems to be mesmerized by metrics while ignoring a more common-sense and human-cantered approach. Yes, they are fascinated with speed, but fast does not necessarily equates harmonic and quality flow.
I really enjoyed when I was reading. This book tells a story, which is really easy to understand. The main character for this book is Satvik Saxena, who is the mid-level manager for Creative Tech, one of the most successful IT companies in India. He was told that he has to reduce at least one third of current staffing members by Marshal Scott, a company executive whose policies created chaos in company. Then one day Satvik met his old colleague, Vikas who left Creative Tech two year ago. Vikas tried to help Satvik to solve company problems during their meetings. As a reader and an engineer, I understand Satvik really wants to keep this company for sake of many employers and his family.
In the book 'Who Stole My Job?', Vikas teaches Satvik by using the stories. All the time, when Satvik asks for help from Vikas, Vikas would never give him answer directly; instead, he tells him a story, which makes Satvik to think and solve problems.
The best process improvement novel I've seen, this classic work explains the all-important theory of constraints through real life examples and a surprisingly good story. Most books of this nature are exceptionally unrealistic, but this one manages to keep the reader engaged, which is key for an instructional text like this.
The book's lessons have some practicality in normal, everyday life, but its greatest utility is for those involved in process improvement in IT industries. All industrial and systems engineers need to read this book, as do all managers of processes. A peachy piece of fiction, packed with applicable lessons in the most enjoyable format you can imagine. While other systems thinking books are somewhat dry, 'Who Stole My Job?' is filled with life and well-grounded in reality.
'Who stole my job' literally depicts the current corporate scenario inside out. It's really hard for me to shelve this under the 'fiction' genre. Because, whatever Sunil Mishra has put down in this novel aren't outlandish. They are the factually accurate and is a mirror image of how the corporate companies function in today's world.
In a nutshell, the story is basically about how an IT company based in India adjusts to the drastic changes brought forward by a newly appointed American CEO.
Through Satvik's eyes, we get to see how a small organizational rejig affects all the echelons of the company. Even though the characters and the company mentioned in story are fictional, the author managed to capture the ground reality of how things usually are behind the closed doors of a typical corp company.
True to it's title, it explains a great deal about the job volatility. The author brings his corporate experience into the fore and he neatly constructs a story through which he conveys some of the hard boiled truths that most of us aren't aware of.
It was both interesting and informative. Marshal, the newly appointed CEO by the board, basically tries to strip off the old paint and plans to give it a fresh coat. In paper, they might seem like achievable targets, but on implementation, we get to see the Domino effect it has on the employees.
It also sheds light on the personal lives of corporate employees. The hardships they go through every single day to keep their family afloat, the kind of problems they deal with on a daily basis etc.
This book reiterates the saying that - there is a lot more to it than it meets the eye. I'm so glad that I picked this one to read. I too worked in a similar company but I resigned before it made me go nuts. The whole experience made me realize we are all mere pawns in the grand scheme of things.
The plot is strong on the technical front as well. This book isn't everyone's cup of tea though. It deals with something critical and I feel that the attempt deems veneration.
It was okay. Too much detailing about digital distruption that the story does not seem interesting. Kind of a whitepaper about the contemporary happening in the IT industry. Could have been better if told through little casual way.
If you are in tech and wondering what is happening around you, then this book is for you. In some uncanny way I got this feeling that this was the story that unfolded at Infosys during Sikka's tenure. Nevermind go read this one for holding a mirror to you and telling you what to do.
