Seriously, who calls themselves the Sausage King? Julian King is a jerk. I had one smokin’ hot night with him. I don’t care how good his hot dog feels in my bun - I’m done. If I had it my way, I’d never see him again.
Unfortunately, that’s not an option. See, the town of Madison has come up with a ridiculous idea to decide on who’s going to win a five-year catering contract. A reality-style cooking contest.
And I’m competing against the Sausage King.
Julian King, with his ripped abs and his jade green eyes and his sexy, dimpled smile. Julian King, who drives me nuts, but who always manages to make me laugh. Julian King, who makes me shiver every time I brush against him. Accidentally, of course.
I can’t let that matter. I have to win. No matter how sexy his man-meat is, the barbecue’s over. No more bratwurst. The Sausage King can put his schnitzel away.
➳Small town vibe everybody knows everybody's business that's why Dakota Wilde usually has a one-night stand or casually dates with people that don't live in town. so, with that said you could understand why when she had her last one-night stand with Julius, just over year ago. Dakota was in the delusion that he was a big-time lawyer in Toronto next thing she knows he set up shop as Sausage King in her small town… He has slowly but surely integrating into the community, now what she to do?
➳Make matters worse she was in the process of trying to expand her business when the Council of her Town decides that they want to come up with some ridiculous contest for 5 contestants to bid for a permit for one lucky contestant to receive the permit for food in their town
➳ Julian King was man with no true social life, serious how could he after finishing 4 year of college & than getting job at big firm – work thousands of hours a week. What women would want a man like that? With no time for her
➳After Julian’s father was diagnosis with cancer, it had made him reexamine his own life. So, Julian decide to quit his high paying job & move to the small town called Manson to start living his life at a slower pace
➳ Julian knew that Dakota lived in Manson, but for the life of him he had no clue why the women seem to now hate him so much
➳ Lord these two were like kid in kindergarten always verbally spar with each other every time they had seen each other
➳ There was few times I had laugh so hard I was crying… Well that just me … There was other I was fanning myself Cuz these two were so steaming hot⬇
➦📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion & my honest review 💕

I LOVED THIS BOOK. It was so lovely to go back to the town of Madison and see everyone again. This time we get Dakota and her story. If you have read the other books, you know Dakota owns the pizza restaurant, and she has watched all her friends, including her twin brother, fall in love and get married. Now it is her turn.
Dakota does not want to be in love or get into any relationship. She is a one-night stand type woman, and that is it. So when she finds out that her one-night stand from a year ago has now moved into town and is a business owner she is not taking it to well.
Julian fell for Dakota as soon as he saw her. He knew that he wanted more from her than the one night he had from her. He knows he will have an uphill battle, but he is more than willing to fight for her. No matter how much she fights.
Not You Again is a hilarious book with some heavy chemistry. A big hit and a must read from Tara!
I really enjoyed this book! I feel like I connected with both main characters. The insecurities battled resonated with my experiences. And the sausage puns lol. I couldn't stop smiling at the dialogue. Overall it was a very entertaining sweet romance. Definitely a recommend.

Tara has outdone herself with this witty, funny, and punny story. An enemies to lover/second chance romance that will have you chuckling until the last page. Definitely a must-read for anyone looking for a great rom-com!

Oh my gosh if you are looking for a book that will have you laughing out loud then this is the book for you. I loved these characters and every single second that I got to spend with them. Dakota and Julian met and hooke up about a year ago and now that he has moved to her hometown she is less than thrilled becasue he becomes her competition. Julian has never been about to forget Dakota and has turned his life upside down and inside out to move to her hometown to be near her again. That means that he had to give up his job as a high paid attorney and has decied to give his sausage making skills into a business. These two end up competing in a contest for a five year catering gig and the fun begins. I loved this book so much and devoured it. You are going to love it too and will not want to miss it.
4 Stars Funny, sexy quick read. I love it, it made me laugh, cry sometimes and mad at alot of people in this book.
“Before we’re done tonight,” he says, each word holding a promise of dark sin and uncontrolled pleasure, “You’ll eat my sausage, and you’ll admit it was the best you’ve ever had.”
These two has the ability to turn every conversation into a naughty funny one.
Dakota is a woman with a past that prevent her from taking a chance in the possibility of having true love and wild adventure so she always do a one night stand with guys out of her town cuz we all know, small town means big gossip and people don't mind their own business and everyone know everyone, so when her last guy moved to her town our girl became irritated.
Julian is a former lawyer who decided to quit his job and move to a new place and a new business which end up been a successful move, now if he only convince the woman he is attracted to that he is a serious guy and figure out why this woman can't stand him.
Things between them develop when they wanted to open restaurants but they have to win a competition .
I love books that had cooking in them or books about chef, and not just a few pages but actually an entire story about this subject which is why I loved this book so much cuz it satisfied my need ❤
This book was funny, everything they said had a double meaning which will make you laugh and smile alot.
Dakota and Julian met and hooked up a year ago, she is not thrilled when he moves into her hometown and becomes her competition. Julian couldn't forget Dakota, he turned his life up side down to move into her hometown. Since he quit his job as a successful high earning attorney, he is going to try to turn his sausage making into a small business. Dakota needs a permit to expand her business, and will end up competing with Julian in a reality TV competition for the one permit the town council is offering.
Two type A personalities, he grew up , a privileged and quit a lucrative career to become the Suasage King, she worked the tush off for years to earn her success, they will have to learn to communicate before they can build a life together. Fascinating, and well written characters in a plot with bad puns, and sometimes, snarky humor, as well as some wonderful twists in the plot.
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and not-incentivized review of this ARC.
I really liked the first book in this series. The guy was arrogant (because they all are) but he respected the woman and could take no for an answer. That gave me hope that this author was different from the others in this genre. Boy was I wrong. Julian is unbelievably arrogant and thinks sexually harassing Dakota every time he sees her is the way to her heart. Of course it works because disgusting, misogynistic behavior is always rewarded in these books. Throw in the never ending, childish sausage, sex puns and I couldn't wait for this book to be over. There is a lot of sex. It's the same you've read in every other book. He teases her until she begs and demands she look him in the eyes at all times. Ugh. So controlling but yeah, whatever. Also the plot is just so awful. A cook off pits them against each other. Will their love survive? I couldn't stop rolling my eyes. So corny. Hard pass on this childish, boring book.
I read the first book in this series and really enjoyed it. So when I saw there was another I grabbed it. Unfortunately, this one just didn't keep my attention as well. Julian and Dakota have a one night stand and Dakota bolts because she has abandonment issues but Julian wants more. They have to work together again when both of them are trying to get a restaurant permit. Barbs are thrown back and forth and we finally get some steamy action at the 54% mark. However, at that point I was annoyed with Dakota and her inner dialogue. I understand she had abandonment issues but Julian never really gave her any reason to feel like he would walk away and so her constant reluctance got tedious. I liked Julian but he should have been more forthcoming about what he wanted. Maybe then we wouldn't have had to wait until 54% to get any true relationship building. Then the conflict through the whole story got tied up very quickly. Overall, it was an OK read.
Oh, my! A beautiful, romantic story and I’m gushing with warm, fuzzy feelings and a BIG smile. Dakota and Julian have past disappoints which kept them from committing in relationships. When they meet the walls they had built started to come down and the sparks that occurred between them was electrical! Can they ignore their vows never to trust someone else? Can they commit? How long can they fight their feelings? And, then their is a food competition they need to enter if they wish to expand their businesses! What will happen, now??? Tara Cresent writes an intriguing, lovely story that doesn’t follow the usual plot. The characters are well developed and have depth. At no time, do you know what the outcome will be. Tara Cresent gives us a story with suspense, twists and turns, amazing Hot sex scenes, fast paced and beautifully romantic. Time to pick up this story and put a smile on your face!
For my first Tara Crescent book, I fell head over sausage for Julian King!
This book is hilarious. I expected no less just because of the title and cover. I knew that there was no way it couldn’t be! It’s also sweet and spicy like strawberry jalepeno ice cream! (In the book)
Dakota is a great heroine too! She’s spunky and brash and doesn’t hold back! Everything I love in a lead! Julian is cocky and arrogant but not overly done! He has a weakness in Dakota.
The chemistry between the two is fabulous! If these two were real people, I’d want to be their friend. Their banter is as good as a TV show.
This book has everything you want to keep you entertained!
This book surprised me more than once. I thought I knew where the plot was going, but, no, it took a different turn. To avoid spoilers, I won't say much else other than it was a refreshing change from the standard plot. Well edited, engaging, well written characters, and a plethora of puns about sausages all helped make this an enjoyable read. I'm enjoying this series, and hoping the author returns to this world. I spent the last part of the book trying to figure out which side character may be featured next, but that is destined to be a surprise as well. I look forward to more stories in this series.
This is the best book I've read in awhile. Most of the books I've read by this author are "palate cleanser" books--short, sexy, usually fun stories to read in between longer books. But she has a few, and this is one of them, that are more.--longer, more plot, more character development. There's enough backstory that you understand the main characters' thoughts and actions without giving you a blow-by-blow of everything in their past. This story has elements of rom-com, with lots of meat and sausage puns, but it has enough serious undertones to make me feel as though these are real characters that I'd like to meet and hang out with someday.
I absolutely love to read this author's books. They are always steamy and snarky and this one did not fail to keep me amused and entertained on all levels. The sausage puns were not only funny they also had my mind racing to fill in the blank and imagine all sorts of things with The King and Julian and Dakota herself. This book had me laughing out loud and yes it is a romance too. Author Tara Crescent cranked up the grills and ovens and lite the fires with this book! I can not wait to see what she brings for me to devour next. Hope I do not have to wait long. I have missed her.
This book made me laugh out loud and shed tears of happiness. Julian and Dakota are beautifully written, the story is full of angst and laughter, passion and some pain. The puns don't stop and are hilariously corny. I love the character interactions and would love to see more from the supporting characters. I fun read I highly recommend. Loving Tara’s work at the moment. Dakota and Julian’s story was full of sausage puns and the odd saucy moment. With a definite bad guy to the annoy readers and plenty of believable characters throughout. Love the use of the GBBO too.
I’d read Hard Wood before this so the characters were already known to me but it isn’t essential as both books stand alone very well.
Dakota needs a restaurant permit to expand her business. She's at a serious financial loss if she can't get it. That evil Roger D-bag has thrown a wrench in the plans, forcing council to only release one permit that year. Her competition? The a bunch of chain restaurants and the Sausage King - the guy she thought would be a one night stand and ends up wanting to date her.
Dakota and Julian shared a hot and steamy night together but she isn’t happy to see him show up in her hometown ready to compete against her. This is a fast-paced fun read with plenty of drama and great chemistry. I really liked the characters and the story has plenty of humor and a great flow. I really liked it.
Dakota and King, she owns a restaurant he is an ex-lawyer who know makes sausages. They have chemistry that jumps off the pages. They are both smart, funny and they get the selves in these quirky situations that makes this rom-com a must read this summer. They are a riot!

Misconceptions, angst, and an unforgettable one night stand fuel Dakota and Julian’s romantic comedy romp. Written from both POVs we get into their heads and hearts for a lighthearted falling in love story that keeps you smiling and turning the pages.
I just knew Dakota’s story would be great after reading Dom’s. They both had the same fears you know. It took her longer to let them go, but it was ok because she had a good guy waiting for her to drop her walls. Julian was the King of waiting patiently and poking her at the right times. They had a cute love story. I wonder what happened to Vicki?
Sausage King is LOL funny! From a hot as sin one night stand, to competing for their livliehoods, Dakota and Julian are at odds with each other. But their simmering passion combusts into an inferno in this romantic comedy.
Olympic standard chick lit! Laugh out loud funny, hot, romantic and engaging from the first page. Excellent characters who you instantly care for, entertaining dialogue and a great story. Perfect.
Fun banter, lots of humor, great love story. An enemies (sort of) to lovers story, with all the feels. Good character development, with returning characters from her Hard Wood book. Enjoy, Tara has woven a delightful story again.
Dual POV. Good amount of sexy scenes. Witty banter and horrible puns make this book a fun read. I like that the requisite “big problem” has a quick resolution instead of the drawn out mess that it could have been. 4.5 stars rounded up.
The story is a a bit of a fiddly one. They seem to spend a lot of time teasing each other. Then when they finally get together the action is a bit rushed. It seemed in some ways like this story was less connected for me . I still like though.
I had numerous LOL moments while I was reading this book. I'm so happy I was home and my kids are used to hearing me laugh when I'm reading. The sausage jokes are the most hilarious. I really enjoy this story.
