C.M. Stunich is a self-admitted bibliophile with a love for exotic teas and a whole host of characters who live full time inside the strange, swirling vortex of her thoughts. Some folks might call this crazy, but Caitlin Morgan doesn't mind - especially considering she has to write biographies in the third person. Oh, and half the host of characters in her head are searing hot bad boys with dirty mouths and skillful hands (among other things). If being crazy means hanging out with them everyday, C.M. has decided to have herself committed.

She hates tapioca pudding, loves to binge on cheesy horror movies, and is a slave to many cats. When she's not vacuuming fur off of her couch, C.M. can be found with her nose buried in a book or her eyes glued to a computer screen. She's the author of over thirty novels - romance, new adult, fantasy, and young adult included. Please, come and join her inside her crazy. There's a heck of a lot to do there.

Oh, and Caitlin loves to chat (incessantly), so feel free to e-mail her, send her a Facebook message, or put up smoke signals. She's already looking forward to it.

Thank you so much for joining me on my review for updates during the wait time for this book's release! I'll likely be doing the same for the final book's release at the end of the month, too.

The Envy of Idols was fun and it's really thrilling to see things start to shift more towards a truly romantic, dating, trying-to-win-the-girl part of the plot. This installment has some sex scenes on top of the usual cussing and frankness about sex, but the scenes not overtly explicit like they would be in erotica, but this book is definitely in new adult/NA territory, which has always been the author's intent for this series despite the high school setting. I also appreciate the author's note outright expressing that the sex and interactions with Marnye are consensual and that she's in this series with the right mindset about how to handle the darker edge we're facing.

I also like that this isn't just suddenly a problem free situation; there are a variety of tasks to deal with in in regards to the boys and their feelings. Tristan and Windsor especially are shown to be dealing with more mental weight than we might think. I also like that the revenge is still on-going with Harper and her subordinates and that the boys have joined in on Maryne's side, organizing their ranks to be a full frontal team. The harem angle is so nicely handled with a degree of complexity; it's not just "we're all together and that's that". Maryne is still figuring things out and everyone is learning to co-exist, so it feels like a more realistic approach to the idea than a lot of RH books, which tend to just gloss over the more unorthodox relationship polyandry is for most people. The Infinity Club still looms as well and the epilogue delivers what might be another obstacle to overcome... so I'm definitely enjoying that the author is weaving in a good deal of plot threads and conflicts without it feeling like she's just throwing everything she can at the story for the sake of drama.

The developments with the boys have been great to read! I had to stop reading a few times just because I had to prep myself as we got into a new scene of flirting and what not. My favorite boys have to be Windsor and Creed tying, Zack in second, with Zayd coming next and Tristan being last (as much as I love dark and moody edge-lords, the other four are just a little more likeable; he's still fun but like in the 5 boy ranking he's last).

Overall, this is just a fun read! Maryne is a great heroine and her perspective never gets dull or irritating. I'm so happy we're still going strong with the narrative and I'm looking forward to how everything culminates and is resolved in book #4 In the Arms of the Elite

In the meantime, another academy series from C.M. Stunich will be debuting in about a week (May 12th) The Secret Girl I'm super excited to see the author continue with this sort of academy genre and am interested in how she pulls off the gender-bender angle.

Ok so I didn't like the other two books but I'm a bit stubborn so I read this one too. Oh boy.

So nothing happened. NOTHING. That's it.
description

Marnye, that dumb bitch, is still horny and she still can't choose one of the 5 hot guys to be with.
Oh and Miranda, Creed's twin and her BFF, is now in love with her. Hallelujah. So I guess that makes 6 hot people.
description

She sleeps with Creed and Zack. The others know and even if they don't like it they can't do shit about it because they agreed to date her. All of them.
Marnye right now :
description

And that's the whole story. She still is in war with Harper but when things happen to them, they're gone after 2 lines. Like they don't matter at all. And they don't because we don't give a fuck about what could happen to that dumb bitch (spoiler alert: nothing happen to her). She is the most horribly annoying character I have ever read and I went through all that inner goddess nonsense from Anna Steele in Fifty Shades Of Grey. Even Bella seems smarter than Marnye.
description

Oh I forgot. Marnye has these really weird thoughts :
- She's eating with Miranda and she decides to eat a veggie meal because she wants to cut her meat intake.
- She is in bed with Zack watching TV and she thinks the ads are annoying and how she doesn't miss them because she has an add blocking app on her phone.
How is that relevant to the story ? Or to Marnye ?
description

With this epilogue, the author is really going to put the sisters against eachother ? Really ?
description

I have no idea what the purpose of this book actually is. None.

I’m so behind on my reviews with this series, because as soon as I’d finish one book of onto the next book.

Not much really went down in this one, though her revenge was still forefront of her mind but now with the idols right behind her.

Each declaring their feelings for her
Not 1, not 2, not 3 or 4 but 5!

I clearly have my top 2 (Creed & Zack)

Ohhhhhh and she finally 3 books later pops that cherry!!

OMG.
SHE DID IT.
HER AND CREED BOTH LOST THE V.
TOGETHER.
HOW ADORABLE.

The Envy of Idols was a book that I flew through. I feel like I'm so invested in these characters and their stories that I would drop whatever I was doing and just read the book if it's available. There's something about these guys and Maryne because I'm addicted. Things are starting to heat up between this group and I'm all for it. Yet, I'm wondering if this going to be her little harem or if she's going to end up picking one guy in the end. All I know is that I don't want my heart broken after this series ends because right now - I hate these cliffhangers.

Okay, so shit is going down constantly in this book. Harper and her wannabe friends are basically bald, being expelled, or idk - dead in my eyes. It kind of seems like these kids are untouchable and it definitely rubs me the wrong way. Especially when Harper said she would just get a slap on the wrist and some detention for the things she has done - for example, trying to make Maryne bald.. or ya know - branding her for shits and giggles.

The guys are super protective over her and sparks are certainly flying. I'm still a bit hesitant on some "relationships" or "feelings" between some people but I feel like everyone genuinely cares for another. I'm pumped to see what the next book will bring - I'm just hoping that I'm getting a more definitive answer to alllll my damn questions.

⭐⭐⭐⭐, 5

Cattiveria, invidia, odio.

I'm in love!

Wow where do I even begin with this. I feel like I just got off this crazy wild roller coaster ride from h🔥ll. It was amazing and my blood was pumping like crazy reading this. That ending though just about killed me and I need more now! I also need more Tristan and Maryne! I want to know what he decides ASAP! Oh and for some reason I'm hoping Lizzy turns out to be some backstabbing hoebag for some reason I can't quite explain. I know, I know, such suspense I'm writing but when you read this you will understand. It's so so worth it! And even though I need book 4 to be out like yesterday I'm also sad that it will be the final book to this series. How will I move on from this? Ugh.... Oh and I'm so looking forward to Harper being taken down. (At least I hope that happens!) If you haven't read this series yet and you like a good RH bully read than you need to jump in quick. I'm talking don't put it off like I did since I just started this a few ago and now I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. If I could give more than 5 stars I would in a heartbeat!

I love the RH in this and I'm not going to say anything but I think Creed is my favorite... I was a bit sad when Miranda got her heart broken. I mean, I knew it would happen but I loved her and I would love to read another scenario where the girls are together :P

Anyway, I enjoyed this book. This series is addictive but I feel like the plot isn't very strong or more like there's not a lot of room for plot and the author is doing great to keep the reader engaged and addicted. I'm a bit over the bullying and revenge thing but I don't mind. The relationships are what keeps me wanting more, after all.

Also... I just read the fourth book's prologue and... WHAT WAS THAT?! I need to know. Now I can't stop reading until the end ;). The author is basically writing cliffhangers at the very beginning of her books! It's quite a good trick when you think about it.

This book is the third one in the Rich Boys of Burberry Prep series. If you are interested in high school bully romances that are full of drama, this series is definitely one to check out!

After being bullied for the last two years as the new girl at Burberry Prep, Marnye finally has a group of friends to call her own.

Not only does Marnye make nice with her bullies, but she’s also dating them - all five of them...

She’s supposed to see how it goes and then choose one at the end, because surely this can only be a temporary arrangement, right? But who will Marnye choose? How? And has the bullying finally come to an end, or are Harper and her cronies still after Marnye?

I’m so sad that there’s only one book left in this series to read, but nonetheless, I’m super excited to read the final book! x

3.5 rounded up to 4.

This time around, I was prepared for the Prologue (See my reviews for Bad, Bad Blueboods #2 and Filthy Rich Boys #2 for context). Having said this, I did think 'it's not so 'spoilery' this time.' Turns out that the reason for this was because not much really happens in this book.

description

Once again, I really enjoyed the tension between the boys being racked up! "'Zayd is not my bestie,' Creed growls... 'We're barely friends.'
'Right. Just like you and Tristan. You've all known each other since forever, but you're not friends at all.'
'Tristan and I were never friends,' Creed snaps... 'Zayd is at least tolerable.'"

However, this book felt wayyyyyyyyyyyyy cringier than the others. All of the allusions to 'hot tub' gate made me squirm. (Despite finding aforementioned 'hot tub' gate references cringy as all hell, I - like Miranda - felt a bit #TeamCreed myself!)

description

When Marnye said "For what you've done to me...you're all going to...have to court me at the same time," I visibly bristled. Fancy asking around a group of friends, "I...know you're interested in dating...And you...But what about you, Zayd?" Like, girl, how many boys do you need to be interested in you?! Is two not enough? Especially seeing as, at this point, she was still deluding herself into thinking that she'd have to pick between them.

When her final love interest revealed themselves, I scoffed! It was too much. I loved the equality, but honestly, is everyone just in love with this girl? It's not realistic.

WOW....This Series was so good😍. For the starters I never expected a high school book to have such a different taste and flavour to it. For all the angst and troubled rich boys it had, the heroine was a badass for all the hardcore situations that were thrown at her. There wasn't one moment where I wasn't reading this book without smiling.

This series was so out of context that it actually was funny without being humorous. I wanted to applause to the author because - I swear she write shit with such seriousness that you can't not believe it.

I can't, can never image 5 hot, rich, young guys in love with a girl who if -were not actual prince's- were actual billionaires (yes not millionaires, billionaires). But I did! And i loved every second of it!!

And what's the best thing about it all - The next part of this series is out in a few days!!

*Dancing with joy*

This is a book I'll definitely recommend to anyone who love high School romance, rich troubled boys or simply lowkey angst romance book. And you even have enough days to read it before the next one is out!

Have fun and Happy Reading Everyone😘!

Then there were 5

Tristan, Creed, Zayd, Zack, and Wind. I literally read this book and the last without stopping. Almost impossible to review just this one without spoiling parts of the next so... just read it and see what you think. It's definitely a great bully reverse harem read if that's your thing.

LOVE. LOVE. LOOOOOVE.

Okay, first of all I am entirely obsessed with the boys of Burberry Prep! These characters are absolutely amazing in their own ways and I've been hooked since the first chapter of book 1 (Filthy Rich Boys). C.M. Stunich has done it again, the feels, the plotting, the total badass revenge (still laughing at Windsor and his barber skills), and last but not least the incredible Maryne. I like her style, her grace, and her ability to seek justice in the best way possible. Waiting for book 4 will be a challenge, but one I will gladly take!

The best of the series so far!

I absolutely LOVED this sequel! The issues from previous books seem to have smoothed out, even the prologue is the right amount of teaser and not spoiler, and there's this wonderful flow throughout the book. We get to see each of the ex-bullies as real people, not hiding behind the lies and the bets of the club. I'm incredibly excited to see how it all ends.

Well crap. This is an awkward situation that I never thought that I would find myself in, especially with this series. That is why I am not rating this book. If I rated it right now, based off of my feelings, then I would give it 1 star. I know that my emotions are pretty high though, so I am making myself take a step back, and I'll try this one again later. Hopefully. Maybe. Probably not.

You need to know that I actually LOVED the first two books in this series. I'm not kidding. I was one of the readers that was obsessively refreshing my Kindle on this book's release day trying to get my hands on this book. I even sent Amazon an ugly e-mail asking why they were taking so damn long to release it.

It took two days of refreshing and my agonizing over what the hell was going on to FINALLY get my hands on this book...unfortunately, it took less than two chapters for me to wish I hadn't.

Here's the thing and why it's awkward...my problem with this book is very literal, and that is a hard thing to elucidate in regards to a fictional story. I never planned on having these feelings, and I really wish that I hadn't. I loved the story line and loved where it was going...but...within the first chapter of this book, something just struck me as soo fucking wrong, that I couldn't ignore it. I couldn't keep reading and enjoy the book. Hell...I TRIED...but it didn't work, and I finally just gave up on the book and decided I might try again later in a year or so.

So here it is...

Bullying is VERY real. It happens all the fucking time, and there are kids in school who are not only attempting suicide because of it, but that are actually succeeding in killing themselves. All fiction aside, bullying is no joke.

I was first attracted to this story, because it shed bullying in a real light. As appalled as I was by the end of book one, I also knew that it was, while extremely revolting, a feasible truth and probable truth in our society. The major draw for me for book two was Marnye's revenge. I wanted it, hell, I needed it. I wanted a story where the bullies finally got their just dues. I KNEW this was a bully romance, so I was expecting the romance aspect of the story, I really was...but I don't think it happened in quite the way I was expecting. Or maybe it happened how it was supposed to, but I wasn't mentally prepared for it. Whatever the case, it has left me feeling a little off balance.

Here's the thing. Most people that are bullied, are not bullied by millionaires, billionaires, super stars, and princes from other countries. They don't naturally have society's standards of perfect figures or flawless skin, and they don't just wake-up looking absolutely breathtaking. I started to find it a little annoying that the ONLY reason Marnye was bullied, was because she was poor (because other than that, she was perfect). While being poor is an unfortunate and common reason for bullying, Marnye didn't seem to suffer from any other "affliction" that most bullied teens do. If you have to ask, "what else is there?" then I suggest you read more on teen bullying.

Still...I really enjoyed this series, until this book. Marnye was a character that showed backbone and, while her only flaw was being considered poor, she stood up for herself and others. I liked that. I really liked that she wanted revenge. Most people that are bullied NEVER get that. She made a plan, and she followed it through. … … that is, until this book. Within the first few pages of reading, when Marnye actually started arguing with her dad--HER DAD that was angry on her behalf, mind you--so she could go away with the "idols" because she "just wanted to be around them"...yeah, I lost it. Marnye lost being the girl I thought she was, to being just another fucking Burberry Prep girl. A girl that doesn't care about her parent(s) and cares more about herself and her wants.

I'm sorry. You KNOW your dad is sick, you also know that these guys have fucking humiliated you over and over again, but yet...you still want to argue with your dad and spend time with them over him? Even knowing he is sick and has no one else?? REALLY?? I never expected her to destroy these guys, but I really never expected her to just roll over and start panting after them because they showed a "softer" side. If I knew my dad was sick and facing treatments by himself, there isn't a fucking man, woman, thing, or person alive that would keep me from his side. He sure as hell wouldn't have to argue with me about NOT going away on a posh vacation with the boys that fucking bullied and humiliated me a few months prior...hell, he would have to bribe my ass to go out for an evening just so he could have a minute to himself. I just don't understand that bitch.

I can't fully explain in the right words why this book's first few chapters hit me wrong, but let's suffice it to say that it did. All I know is that I'm glad that as a bullied young girl, I didn't come across this book during my bullied years. Hell, I probably would have ended up romanticizing and idolizing my damn tormentors, and Lord knows, that is NOT what a bullied young girl needs to do.

This one just rubbed me wrong...and FUCK, I wish that it hadn't, because I was really LOVING this damn series. Why the hell did she have to be an ignorant selfish twat in the first few chapters????? I probably could have forgiven it if it didn't involve her dad, but anyone that can fucking choose a guy (or multiple guys in her case) who have treated her like shit over her dying dad? Yeah...I can't fucking do it.

Wooooh! So..... this was a bit of a disappointment
Not really what I was hopping for...

Ok, first off.. the bullying shit is straight up cruel. It is way too intense for high school, college maybe, but otherwise it is very extreme. Branding people! Shaving off their hair??!!

Anyway, so Marnye has finally decided to forgive the guys who bullied her and is now dating all five of them. A fricking prince, her middle school bully and the three idols who also bullied her, but apparently now love her.

This book was supposed to be about her spending time with each guy, with their guards down and just getting to know each other. She does spend time but there is hardly and mention of the conversations that they have.. only kissing scenes.. so once again.. give the girl some conversation!

Now, I made my peace with the whole dating five guys thing and was actually rooting for two of them. Her middle school bully Zack (who has really changed and plus he gives me Jude Ryder vibes!!) and one of the Idols. While Zack was acing the game, Tristan, the idol, was all broody and self-depreciating.. and that gets on my nerves.

I have read way too many books where the guy is continuously in self-doubt about whether or not he deserves the girl even when the girl explicitly states that she likes him!! Get over it man!!Uggggh!

Overall, this book gave no indication whatsoever as to which guy she was leaning towards. This book was very vague and ambiguous and a big let down.

3.5 ⭐️

I think I actually liked this one.

The storyline wasn’t too focused on the drama and overall life ruining that went down in the first two books—there’s only so many slut jokes and pranks one can pull without outright trying to murder and SA someone (ahem HARPER).

Everything was much more peripheral, and our main focus FINALLY shifted over to the changing dynamic between Marnye and the boys. The Idol boys actually have personalities, who knew?!

The editing in this series is awful though—lots of misspelled or missing words and weird grammar. It wasn’t so bad in this book thankfully but good grief!

I love this book. It was a good third installment and I highly enjoyed myself. There was a lot of character development, relationship development, and DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA, which I am always here for! I adore Marnye’s relationship with each of the guys and I loved seeing them progress in this book.

What I Didn’t Like- I took half a star away because of the pacing. There were certain parts of the book that were really slow and I felt were unnecessary. It got tedious after a while.

Overall, despite the issues I had with it, I still highly enjoyed this book and I will be finishing the series. I am really excited to see how everything plays out.

Nothing Happens - Spoilers

I can sum up this book easily.

It's all filler. Nothing major happens.

Revenge? The two things that happened came and went so fast that it hardly mattered. In the end she was all "I am the new queen of the school so I don't need revenge and can settle on forgiveness." Okay.

5 Guys and Bestie Miranda has all fallen for/confessed to her. I seen the Miranda part from the beginning when she said that she hated bullies and could never forgive them (cough cough) and if this was a bully romance (another cough), she would end up with Miranda because she was the only true friend.

Lizzie is just around for her (and the author) to state how Tristan and/or her are standing next to/looking at each other. That is it. She has the filler/personality of an object and is only around to cause inner drama and have the MC make comments everytime she is around. I think she only says a few lines all book until the end.

I get this is a bully romance but the whole thing doesn't make sense.

The guys didn't prove themselves and still a part of the club that is still causing her issues. She allowed her TEENAGE hormones to forgive them on a whim so she can kiss and grope them whenever.

Their punishment?

"Since you bullied/hurt me and tried to kill me, my punishment is for all five of you to share and date me at the same time."

Makes no sense - especially when she keeps finding out more about what they did to her that she didn't know and keeps doubting that they aren't playing her again / if they are serious about being in love with her.

How is that healthy?

There were more errors in this book than the first two - and at one time the author mistakes Miranda for Lizzie. ("I wish I had a devoted harem of five females chasing me")

I don't like quitting series and since there is one more left, I need to know if she chooses one, string them along to college or picks none.

I am assuming that her sister is going to be team up with Harper and bully her (and jealous about the 5 guys chasing her), that her mother's new baby is her dying father's, her father dies and she is left with living with her mom, her jerk husband and evil sister.

I am also assuming that since college keeps coming up and that the guys all want to go that there will be a sequel college series since the academy trend is huge right now.

All I have to say is that I hate this book and all I was thinking while reading it was, she needs to just freaking pick one of the guys
Who the heck dates 5 guys at the same time

She needs to control herself and pick one. Gosh
