Cusco is nothing more than a living legend, one must see this city with own eyes to find out and believe that it really exists. In truth, Spanish colonization changed this place, but fortunately, adding its elements and influences, it did not manage to take away the spirit of the past permeating the remains of monumental buildings from the time of the Incas. The mountainous terrain makes this place extremely beautiful, stunning, arousing admiration and respect at the same time because it is The Sacred Valley of the Incas, the navel of the world and the temple of the sun in one. It is not wealth and momentum that make this place, but cultural heritage and deep respect for the ancestors' traditions. In Cusco one can sense the essential harmony of man with nature, order and peace, one can see dignity and pride in human faces and in the heart of those who visit the city, the desire to take a part of this world with them. The book is worth reading before visiting this city, but anyone who has been there will want something more ...

Some of the translations aren’t quite right, but all in all this is a great book with wonderful photos outlining the highlights of the Cusco area.
