When I first read this title, I thought it was going to have something to do with cupids, or valentines day etc. I was relieved when I realized it was the main female characters last name.
Cooper is both the ideal man and yet one that could drive me crazy at the same time. When he took her food away as a way for her to answer questions, I just kept thinking I would be so mad if my husband had done that haha. Then he can also be the most sweet and caring person who puts the feelings of Vanessa before him.
Vanessa is a woman who is so set on not turning into her mom in a relationship that she has built a big cinder block wall around her heart. She is a doctor that has seminars for finding a deep intimate connection with a partner, ironic huh.
When Cooper and Vanessa do finally meet, other than a pass by, you can see the wheels are turning for both of them. It is almost as if its an enemies to lovers on Vanessa's point of view, and a love at first sight for Cooper. Makes for an interesting story!

I just love these Wishing Well stories. The author has a way of pulling you into the story where you are a part of it, and you don’t want to put the book down. I always like to see when big, tough guys like Coop never think they are going to fall for one woman, and when they do they fall hard! I think it did Coop good for Vanessa not to fall at his feet. I felt bad that Vanessa didn’t think men could be faithful because of her father. I enjoyed seeing all the ways Coop was trying to show Vanessa he wasn’t a player. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of the book.

Charming Cupid is everything that I love in a book. The characters had me laughing, crying and cheering for this couple to get their happy ever after.
I'm a huge fan of this writing duo and the world's they create. Needless say I was totally lost in Charming Cupid and once I began Coop and Vanessa's book I had a hard time setting it down. This is the first of a new series but if you've read Melanie Shaun before it's not the first time we meet Cooper or Vanessa.
We're given laugh out loud moments immediately. I began falling for Cooper in the first few pages where he's dealing with a small personal problem. I fell more in love with Coop at the end of the bachelor auction and like Vanessa by the end of the book I was totally in love with him. He was the total package- charming, sweet, friendly and has one not bod! He is determined to catch Vanessa's attention despite her given him the cold shoulder.
Vanessa is a highly educated women who isn't falling for Coops charm. She lasts longer than most but she finally lets her guard down. The constant calling, flowers and shown g up at her seminar might have helped. They have an immediate connection and they are able to forge a friendship in addition to a romantic relationship.
Their courtship was brief but it suited this couple. They were so guarded with other people that their guard down and found what they were looking for.
I think this also helped them when dealing with their families as well. They were able to see a different perspective.
I can't wait to see what they have in store for his friends and the rest of the family.

I was so excited to get a spin-off to Melanie Shawn’s Wishing Well Series, and the ladies did NOT disappoint!!
Coop is sexy, fun, and has this sweet side to him that just had me swooning nonstop. Vanessa is a bit guarded, but I absolutely adored her character. She’s driven and I could definitely picture her being a book bestie 🙂.
This was the perfect start to this series, and I can’t wait to get more!!!

I loved this book!!! I couldn’t put it down. Coop and Vanessa’s story has it all. I was laughing, crying and cheering them on. I really liked that Vanessa didn’t fall right at Coops feet and that he had to put in the work to make her his. I can’t wait to read more in this series. 😊

You know you're going to enjoy a new series, when the first book starts off this awesome! Cooper and Vanessa were a great match. I love when the hero falls so hard, and is the first one to admit it. Coop was all in at the first glimpse, and Vanessa was a hard one to pin down. I'm so glad that she was able to patch things together with her mother. I cannot wait to read more in this series!!!

The Briggs are back!!!
I was very happy to see that we finally get to read Wishing Wells Cooper Briggs story! Cooper Briggs has everything going for him as far as his professional life goes but has no idea how off his personal life is until he sets his eyes on Vanessa Cupid. Cooper Sees Vanessa for the first time at a fundraiser his best friend Jade talked him into being in the bachelors auction at. He ends up paying $2000 anonymously to be gifted to Vanessa. He didn’t realize his life was missing something til he met Vanessa and he’s completely smitten! But then she spends the next six months ignoring his attempts to complete their date.
Vanessa doesn’t like the way Cooper makes her heart and body flutter and can’t trust herself to not fall for the known playboy so she has her assistant give him excuse after excuse of why she’s not available.
But when “fate” steps in and an opportunity is given to Cooper for him to be in the same place as Vanessa he jumps on it. Cooper knows this is his last chance to let Vanessa know she’s all he wants. Vanessa is finding it harder and harder to avoid Cooper and these crazy feelings she’s having. You must read this book and find out if Cooper is able to fight past Vanessa‘s walls protecting her heart for their happily ever after! This book is a fast read with lots of romance and hot bedroom scenes😉. I am desperately waiting for the next few books in this series!!!

Cooper is a former NFL player and now a business entrepreneur. Vanessa is a well respected author and speaker specializing in intimate relationships.
From the moment Cooper sees Vanessa, he is smitten and even with all he does to catch her attention, she avoids him. Not because she doesn’t want to meet him, but more because she suspects he might shatter her internal equilibrium.
It’s sweet to watch these two get to know each other in a weekend. But it’s more than just an entertaining book. It’s a story about trust. Not only others, but oneself. About how what we perceive as children , affects us as adults. About learning not to judge others . And above all, to have the courage to risk your heart so you can experience “the joy to love”.

A new Melanie Shawn series!!!! (insert happy dance here). I’m already in love with the Steamy Weekend series from Melanie Shawn. I can’t wait for the next installment!
Cooper Briggs has had almost everything in his life come super easy so when he meets the first female that he is pretty sure changes everything it throws him when she dodges all his advances. Vanessa grew up with parents who didn’t have the healthies relationship. At a young age Vanessa made a choice to never have that kind of relationship and has always been able to keep people at arm’s length until Cooper puts the hard press on her.
I loved this book so much! I loved the cross between one of my favorite Melanie Shawn series, Wishing Well and this soon to be amazing series. These two are the absolute cutest and it is so much fun watching them on the ups and downs of their romantic journey.
I could not get enough of this book, I even read it on the train to and from work. If this book is the first in this new series I know I’m going to be addicted!

Cooper Briggs and Vanessa Cupid, a semi-reformed playboy and a girl who is jaded about love after watching her parents dysfunctional relationship. They’ve got an intense chemistry that is ready to explode from the moment they first meet. Coop is determined to explore it. Vanessa is determined to avoid it. He has to do some chasing to catch Vanessa and convince her it’s worth giving him a shot but once he does thing burn hotter than either of them expect. A fantastic, page turning, love at first sight, scorching hot read!

I love revisiting Wishing Well and finally getting Cooper Briggs knockdown love story!! I knew it would have to be a very strong and independent woman that would finally take the handsome Cooper Briggs down!! Dr Vanessa Cupid is a relationship specialist but when it comes to herself she has blinders on!! Cooper does everything he can to get the attention of Vanessa! It takes a last ditch effort before she finally concedes to a date!! Major chemistry between these two!! Don't hesitate to read this steamy love story!!

What I really liked about this story was that Cooper really had to work for Vanessa. Unlike the other women he knew, she didn’t drop everything & jump in bed with him. Heck, he couldn’t even get her to go on a charity auction date with him. Vanessa was guarded and careful. After watching her mom & dad all those years, she didn’t trust Cooper or the attraction she felt for him. This was a fun & entertaining story that kept me involved with a good plot & wonderful characters.

What's not to like in a spin off of Wishing Well Texas. Cooper and Vanessa are the perfect couple.
When Cooper sees the woman of his dreams he will stop at nothing to meet her including secretly gifting himself to her at a charity event. As Cooper tries to set up their date, Vanessa continues to ignore him until he shows up at one of her speaking engagements to do some of his own business.
This book not only is entertaining but it also makes us take a look at how sometimes what we see as a child is not what it really is. Once we can see that we can move on with life and make our own happiness.

You gals hit it out of the ballpark again. Coop was so sweet and determined to call Vanessa his. Misconceptions with her and her Mom caused serious relationship issues, but finally true love prevailed. Can’t get enough of your great characters and hope to read more wonderful and inventive stories. Received this arc for an honest review.❤️❤️

This was such a great first book into a new series!! Even though it technically wasn't in Wishing Well, it was so great to have familiar characters!! Cooper and Vanessa had such an ease together and I love that she kept him on his toes and made him work for it!! The story flowed and hot all the emotions. I can't wait for more in this series!!!

Coop is a wonderful guy. Yes, he has a bad reputation, but he had changed and is now sweet and still hot 😎 But Vanessa still sees the womanizer in him. And that is the last thing she wants. Her parents had a bad marriage and she doesn't want this for herself.

Melanie Shawn is back with their new series, Steamy Weekends and steamy it was! Our hero is from the family featured in their Wishing Well, Texas series, so it was fun to revisit some of the Briggs family members. You don't need to have read any of the Wishing Well books to enjoy this story.
Cooper Briggs is a former NFL football player and is now an entrepreneur who has an essential oils line releasing soon. He seems to pretty much have everything going for him, however he hasn't found a woman who has made him want to settle down yet. In fact, he's had trouble lately with even being interested in hooking up with anyone, which used to be something he did often. However, everything changes when he lays eyes on Vanessa Cupid. So much so that he bids to donate himself to her during the bachelor auction he is a part of and she is attending.
Vanessa Cupid helps people develop better emotional intimacy by dropping their walls and barriers. While she does this for a living, she's got a fortress built around herself after witnessing her parents dysfunctional relationship while growing up. She has no interest in a relationship, let alone marriage. When she sees Coop, she's definitely attracted and she knows that he's the kind of man that might actually be able to forget the walls she's constructed so well.
After Vanessa has successfully evaded setting up the date from the bachelor auction for six months, Coop decides he'll take one last shot at making a connection with her and if it doesn't work, he'll give up completely. Will Coop be able to wear Vanessa down? Or will she continue to help others, but not take her own advice for herself?
I really enjoyed both Coop and Vanessa. You could understand her struggles and the fact that Coop was so willing to "chase" her was romantic for sure. They were cute together and I enjoyed going along on their journey.

Then all of a sudden, things drastically slow down in the women department. While he does not lack attention, he lacked the interest in these women; that is until he seems Vanessa Cupid at a charity auction. Cooper finagled his way to top his top bidder buy bidding $2,000 for himself and “gifting” himself to Vanessa.
Vanessa Cupid, is Jade’s (Cooper’s best friend) college roommate. She’s also a renowned psychologist working to build positive relationships and intimacy. Ironic since she had more walls up than Fort Knox. Vanessa has her assistant continuously tell Cooper she’s busy when he calls to set up the dates, for 6 MONTHS!
When the opportunity presents itself for Cooper to be at the same hotel Vanessa is giving a seminar in, he jumps on it for one last shot at winning Vanessa’s love. Will he succeed or will she blow him off again?!?!

Cooper Briggs is just a man who sees a woman. Vanessa Cupid is the woman and he is blown away. He is at a point in his life where meaningless relationships are just that. He has lost interest in woman and is dedicating his life to his work. That is until he sees Dr Cupid. Then all bets are off. He immediately starts to move heaven and earth to spend more time with her and make sure that she has a chance to spend time with him.
Vanessa is a lady who has sworn off men and is spending all her energy on her relationship building for other couples. Coop makes her feel things and she is not sure that she is ready for him.
Together can they make sure that "Cupid" will strike?
Melanie Shawn brings us back to Wishing Well with another great story. I read this over a week ago and still have a book hangover.

Book 1 in Melanie Shawn’s the new Steamy Weekends series. I love it when characters from one series spin off into a new series. Vanessa and Cooper are both hardworking and professional about their careers. Neither has had a serious relationship, but for different reasons. Vanessa begins to take some of her own advice as she digs deeper into her relationships with others. Cooper knows Vanessa is the one for him, but needs an opportunity to show Vanessa how he feels about her. A lot can happen in 48 hours and it does in this fast paced romantic story. Don’t miss out on this romantic, fun, and steamy love story!

Cooper Briggs saw his best friend Jade’s college roommate and just knew that she was the one. The problem was, she didn’t want anything to do with him and avoided him for the next 6 months.
Dr. Vanessa Cupid was a relationship expert who had no desire to become like her mother; dependent upon a man who was a womanizer. She heard all about Cooper from back in college and knew that he loved to play the field so she felt that she would be better off without being around him at all.
Coop decides to take one last chance to get to know Vanessa one on one at his friend’s resort in New Mexico while Vanessa was giving a seminar about relationships.
Both of these characters were flawed which makes them all the more real. Vanessa is carrying around baggage from her childhood while Coop is just over being out there to be out there. He wants a relationship like his parents and is ready to settle down and have his own family. I also loved the fact that since Coop was from Wishing Well you got a glimpse into characters you have already met in a different series.
This was the perfect novel to take me away from the stresses in life.

This was yet another great read from Melanie Shawn. It took me a few pages to really get into it but once I did, BAM! It took off.
I enjoy a good chase from a nice “stalker”. I also enjoy when a woman tries to fight her feelings or attraction towards a man but knows deep down there’s no chance of that happening.
Cooper Briggs is a dream boat. A man that any woman would want, well except maybe Vanessa. Vanessa is a smart beautiful woman that wants nothing to do with relationships including one with a sexy brilliant man name Cooper. But honestly, how long do you think a woman can resist the charm of a man that is willing to do anything he needs to do to get her, including showing up at the same resort, the same weekend, she is there doing an intimacy seminar?

Charming Cupid Great story full of fun, laughter and a little naughtiness. Coop knows no boundaries when it comes to getting Vanessa's attention and he goes to great lengths to prove it. Vanessa specializes in relationships and how to make them more meaningful and intimate, but doesn't stop long enough to take her own advise until Coop shows up at one of her seminars. The storyline was so wonderful and you definitely cheer Coop on all the way. I can't wait to see what Melanie Shawn has in store for us next.

Melanie Shawn truly can do no wrong when it comes to writing a fun, steamy, and addictive romance book!
Cooper and Vanessa’s book was a quick enjoyable read, that I really couldn’t put down once I started it. I found myself reading it even when I was at work haha.
Cooper was a fantastic hero. I loved how he was literally knocked on his butt when he first saw Vanessa. He’s used to getting what he wants right away, with not a ton of effort. But boy oh boy, boy does Vanessa make things tough for him.
Vanessa is used to structure and routine, and refuses to let a man take away her freedom and try to control her life and thoughts. But it was definitely a blast seeing how Coop put in amazing effort to break down her walls.
What a fantastic book. Cannot wait to see what is in store next!

A Wonderful Start for the new series!
This is the first book in Melanie Shawn’s new series Steamy Weekends. And what a wonderful first book! This is the story of Cooper Briggs (from Wishing Well Texas Series), and Vanessa Cupid. Cooper is an ex-NFL player, who is now starting a new entrepreneurial essential oils business. Although, it appears he has everything going for him, he is at a point in his life where he is looking for someone special to share it. He decides Vanessa is that person, and he donates himself to her in a bachelor auction in which he is participating. However, Vanessa doesn’t seem to actually want to go on the date with Coop! After 6 months of avoiding him, Vanessa is worn down and the two get their HEA.
Coop is a very worthy romantic and swoony book-boyfriend! He does things to gain Vanessa’s attention that those of us in the real world can only dream of! And Vanessa is a strong woman with her own set of insecurities to overcome. And together, they are fabulous!

Charming Cupid features Cooper Briggs from the Wishing Well Texas series. He is a former NFL player turned entrepreneur who has a great life. Except for one thing, the ladies man is no longer interested in being a ladies man. But he hasn't met a woman who captures his interest. Enter Vanessa Cupid, former roommate of Cooper's friend Jade. He is smitten by her and buys himself for her at a bachelor auction. Vanessa is a doctor who provides advice to people about relationships, but doesn't take her own advice and struggles with her own relationships.
She successfully avoids the auction date until Cooper shows up at one of her seminars and keeps getting in her way. She can't stop thinking about him even when she is supposed to be working. Their connection is strong and sparks fly! I love the chemistry and reading more about the Briggs family! Great story and fun fast read!
