Archangel Michael, however, had different plans.
Now Helena has been stolen by the Order, and even Lucifer himself can’t protect them from Eric.
They will give her back to him, Or...the Heavens will burn!

Speak of the Devil is the second book in the Broken Halos series, and we reunite with Hel and Eric. Hel is being held prisoner by Michael, as Eric desperately searches for her. Help comes from an unexpected source, and Hel is freed. Of course, it doesn't stop there, because then it would be a very short book. Instead, Hel starts gaining new powers, Eric has to tune down his monster-mash rage, they have sexy times, oh, and try to find Hector before he loses any further body parts.
Hel's attitude is as sassy as ever, and I love how she goes toe to toe with Eric. Maddison is a blast, although I know there is more to her than meets the eye. Raphael has a story he doesn't want to share, which just makes me want it all the more. All in all, this is a non-stop read, full of action and chaos.
Ending on a cliffhanger (just like book one), this will definitely leave you wanting more. A great second book, and definitely recommended by me.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and the comments here are my honest opinion. *

Eric and Helena are a team that you don’t want to mess with. This book takes you through twists and turns through every page. I was on pins n needles and can’t wait for book 3!
This second book is better than the first one, although it has some typos that need to be addressed. It's funny, adventurous and very entertaining. Give this series a go.
Book 2 in the Broken Halo series - Speak of the Devil is no less as amazing as the first book. The continuing saga continues for Helena and Eric. What more can happen to these two? Well, if ArchAngel Michael has anything to say about it, he will do so much to Helena. He seems to have his own nefarious plans that are not very angelic. Eric being a Prince of Hell will stop at nothing to get his mate back safe. Dimensions collide and the battle continues. But is everything so black and white anymore? Not all things are as everyone has been told between Heaven and Hell. How will Helena and Eric survive this oncoming war that they got thrown into? This is a total page turning book from start to finish and you won't want to put it down. I know I didn't. Action packed, mayhem, mystery and steamy sexy scenes too. Why are you still reading this? Go get the book!!
Hel has her world turned upside down and inside out ~ angels and demons are fighting over her left right and center! She's had shock after shock but Eric is always there to help ground her ~ even if it can't be in person. In this installment we see more vulnerability in both main characters but also strength and determination ~ they'll both fight to the death if pushed, but they'll also take down as many as they can with them! Another great read full of passion and sass!!
OMG.... This author has so much talent. This book is off the charts!!!! Just amazing. You get everything love, hate, action, Demons and Angels. It has everything a must read should have. I could not put it down. Eric and Helena are two of the main characters and they are hot🔥Helena is sassy and I love her attitude and Eric does everything he can to protect her. This book is just amazing and I guarantee you will love it. It is a definite must read!!!!!
I am enjoying the story being told but it seriously needs a good proofreader. Many places where the wrong word is used and enough commas to distract me from the story. There some sentence that just make no sense no matter how many times I reread them. I just have to assign it a meaning hoping it's what you meant to say, which I shouldn't have to do because YOU are creator. I'm just the reader.
Very good! Exciting, scary, sexy and just plain ole good reading! I love this series and can't wait for book three to get done! There was so much happening with the characters!
This book is absolutely amazing, and better by far than the first. The characters are some of my favorites out of any book I've read. It is a must read, for sure, so go and grab it today.
Whoa! The second one brought it on! I love the banter between the characters. It's exciting to see their powers grow. Can't wait to see what the third book brings.
In this second installment, Michael kidnapped Helena to use her blood for nefarious purposes. Eric and Raphael come to the rescue. Every single page is filled with action! Hector is missing and old friends of Helena’s make an appearance as well. Eric and Michael still want to kill one another. Helena discovers new powers and information about whom or what she is exactly. They decide to go after Hector and end up in a battle…but when Helena’s blood hits the floor…oh no! But, what do they really want with Helena’s blood? Will the new powers help her protect others and herself? This is a great series and I cannot wait for the next book! I received this book as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.
This book was fan-freakin-tastic. Maya Daniels has once again blown me away with her creativity.
Speak of the Devil is book 2 in The Broken Halos series which takes off right where book one left off. It’s fast paced, exciting, and intense. It was funny, sexy, and witty. There’s plenty of chemistry and twist and turns to keep things moving nicely.
The book is very well written and is a great continuation of the series
I’m so loving this series and after how this one ended, I can’t wait for the next one
Helena is in the hands of Michael after he was able to get her. He wants her blood for whatever his plan is. Helena is slowly losing faith, she doesn't know why she is alive. She is battered in so many ways. Michael comes in to see her, there is another person there. That person is going to help her escape from there. She hears Eric's voice, but she can't get out. If Helena doesn't listen to her the help given, she could lose Eric. Helena is finally home, they start to notice she is different. Helena is a lot stronger than she was. Seems her traits are starting to manifest. Helena will do everything she can to save Hector. With a the new information she has received, she feels like she is drowning. Helena will come out of it, thanks to something Eric said. Helena and the others make plans to find and get Hector out. Find out what is really at play. What Helena doesn't expect is the betrayal that is going to happen and everything else.
This book is non-stop action from the first page, you are immediately drawn into the book. There are so many great moments in this book. There is something for everyone in this series. You have a kick butt heroine that is trying her best to get her feet under her, her learning to lean on others and so much more. Helena and Eric are great together, watching the relationship in new and exciting ways. The ending of the book will have you screaming no. This book was even better than the first and can't wait to read more.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Book two of the broken halo series following the events of the previous book Helena is held captive by the Archangel Michael whose obsession with her is growing. Michael repeatedly takes vials of her blood. Eric desperate to get his mate back. With the help of Archangel Raphael she manages to escape and reunite with Eric and Maddison. But her powers are growing and she’s becoming stronger than before frighteningly so for Eric. As she is both part angel and part demon. They learn that Michael is trying to lure Lucifer to earth to kill him. Helena loses her shit when she believes hector has been hurt and goes hunting the hunters. Amanda is alive and betrayed her as did Jared. The cliffhanger at the end was awesome with a portal opening now Eric and Helena have to go to the other side to close it. I loved read This book I liked the fact that Helena is coming into power and becoming something other and dangerous I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series. I definitely recommend reading this book and this series.
I am really enjoying this series so far. It's well written and hard to put down. You'll like the characters, my particular favourites are of course Helena and Eric, but I also love Maddison. Fast paced from the beginning, the story picks up where it left us in book 1. Eric needs to rescue Helena and finds they have an unlikely ally. Helena has quite a few revelations in this book, starting her on the road to understanding who she is. A twist at the end, leaves Eric and Helena with no choice but to embark on another journey.... Which leads us to book 3, which I need now!
Oh, this is getting better and better. The Archangel Michael kidnaps Helena, which drives Eric almost insane. The Archangel Raphael, for some reason, finally helps Eric find her. But she is changed from her time away. She is more powerful, much more powerful. But then we have a twist…there is treachery under way. And an ending I didn’t see coming.
I like the direction this series is taking. It's got good pace and the character development shows promise. Not keen on the length at 2.5 hours (in my view) it should have been added to the first book as it's really only a novella.
This series is so ooo good! I can't put this book down so much going on and I need to find what goes on next.. U need to get these books.. Sorry gotta run to read the next one!!
