Too much of this story takes place in airports while on layovers from Chicago to Scotland or on the plane with the hero having panic attacks from fear of flying. I was also not very impressed when the story ends so abruptly and I realized the story continues in the next books. This story could have been so much better and had a lot of promise but for me, it just fell flat.

A freebie book that was a surprisingly good read. Just over 200 pages which made it a one-shot read for me.
First off...the male MC, whilst being a werewolf, was actually the one in distress more often than our female MC. In fact she saved him a few times, both from physical attacks and panic attacks (flying is apparently terrifying for 'Earth-bound' creatures such as werewolves. After a failed assasination attempt he ends up going home to confront the one who ordered the hit.
Our female MC is a nurse who gets roped into this crazyness. She's a fighter after coming out of a bad relationship and she takes no shit.
While the beginning and the end were action based, a big part of the book takes place on the planes from Chicago to Scotland. They actually talk and share about themselves, so refreshing from some of the other shifter books I've read.
I might even pick up the second part.

Just okay
I had logistical questions like, how do you track someone by scent if they get in a car? How does mating and turning work? Where does all this money come from that they spend?
Then there was the editing. It wasn't horrible, just noticeable. I found myself skimming the story toward the end. It just seemed to drag on. The ending was anticlimactic, considering the way our main character was hunted and attacked.
Not a bad read but may not work for everyone who loves this genre.

The plot for this story was good and I do recommend reading it. For the most part, the style of writing was good too, but now and then it became a little sloppy ie immature. Not enough, in my opinion, to take away from the fast moving pace of storytelling.
My only other gripe was that the ending was too rushed. We'd spent the entire book building up to meeting the big bad wolf, and when we did... well... without giving too much away, I was disappointed. Then, so much happened in such a short space of time that I was left a little confused at how fast their changing lives took place.

The plot i thought on this novel was boring, all that time on a plane traveling could of been filled with more running from the bad guys.. and hot steamy moments. Some of it did not really make sense, like him being in America growing up but seemed to recognise Scotland his birth place.. Also the use of the Gaelic language could of been better, but surely growing up in America he would of not of had it? Aye he would of done ya ken!

Very nice
Very nice nook with exciting and strong characters. I was so lost in the story I hardly knew what was going on around me. Just the way I like to be able to read books. I liked the story and the HEA at the end. Price is the only thing keeping me from moving on to the next book in the series.

Okay
The story could have been more thought out and developed. There was quite a bit of repetition of thoughts like 'I can understand her feeling...' An editor should have picked up on the grammar, spelling and word order errors. Almost seemed like it needed a couple more rewrites to get it up to par.

Quick easy read. Ended without really resolving anything. This is the first book in the series and it reads that way. As a stand alone it doesn't make sense. The climatic fight falls flat and there is a lack of resolution. Maybe it would have been better to take the whole series and edit it to one book, or expand the individual stories to make them more detailed and engaging.

Brochan and Aislin are a great couple
Trouble begins and ends with Brochan. The story starts right away with him on the run. He dies as he met Aislin, only to need her later. Then it's a whirlwind of running fights and flights. In Scotland, they find the way. It's a good story. Thanks. Must be 18+

I Love A werewolf
Brochan was sent away from Scotland to America as a child by his father. When he was raised by Nuns in a private school and learned he was a shifter. Then he meets Ailsa and then trouble acomes aking and Brochan decides they have to return to Scotland and face the enemy.

I enjoyed this book! I don't believe I have read this Author before but I will be reading more of her now. I loved the action packed story. Getting to know the main characters. Learning more about their stories. A well written book!

Not For Me
I did not finish reading this book. I forced myself to go as far as I did, but decided that I was done. I can’t point to any one reason why, but, as much as I love to read, I do realize some books just aren’t for me. Sorry.

AWESOME
About a werewolf shifter who ends up in the hospital because 2 other wolves try 2 murder him. He meets Alisha a nurse and she helps him get his belongings . They end up on the run after she helps kill a wolf trying 2 kill them

Meh. I enjoyed it as I read it, until I got to the end, which was just anticlimactic. The author seemed to get lazy and just basically said, there was a big conversation where I explained everything and everyone agreed with me in the end.

Different then the usual shifter story.
Usually girl meets shifter guy and all the anks of how he tells her he's a shifter or werewolf.Nice change got rid of that problem early. About six of twelve chapters he has her as captive audience on the run traveling to Scotland.

I enjoy a well written shifter novel and this is a worthy read. Storytelling at it's best. Lexy Timms, isn't new to my library and continues to surprise me with her stories.

Good adventure story!
Nice plot and good characters in a different type of adventure story. Romance level was good, not just sex scenes but actual romance! A good read!

I wanted to like this. I really did. FMC is called Ailsa. I'm called Ailsa. I was really rooting for it to be good. Sadly it was not to be.
Too much time in airports. Main characters who tell each other their deepest darkest secrets within minutes of meeting each other. And an anticlimactic ending that felt really rushed.
