The instructions were very specific. They just weren't very helpful.

Save Ashley.

Samantha is now Samantha Elliott, and as she and Sam begin working out what their lives are going to look like, as a married couple, Jason is going to have to come to grips with what his life is going to look like, without Sam. So they go back to their roots, finding problems, killing monsters, ashing demons. It's what they do best, but Samantha has still got to figure out who Ashley is and how to save her.
Heavenly mandates are hardly ever unimportant.

Just finished reading this wonderful book. I may have mentioned before that I considered this series to be one of the best fantasy adventures I’ve read. Well I take that back now. It IS THE BEST.
Sam and Sam are not the shortest books I’ve read but also not the longest. Unlike some books my interest is kept throughout. There are lots of action episodes but also some tender and thought provoking ones.
When you are near the end and you think you have a handle on it Chloe throws in a monkey wrench that twists the plot to keep your interest to the last page.
It’s not a series to be rushed but one to savor.
I so love ALL the characters and once again find myself yearning for the next episode.

There is so much to love about Chloe Garner’s Sam and Sam novels. They’re intricate, exciting and fun. And now, in Child (Book 6), Sam, his now wife Samantha (change her last name to Elliott), and a Sam-less Jason are indeed in for a totally exciting and wild ride as they “go back to their roots” (you know, killing abominations, ashing demons, etc.) while working on a new heavenly mandate to save Ashley. Who is Ashley, you ask? They wish they knew too. The result is good for us lucky readers as we get yet another wild ride that is perfectly presented in a superbly told manner that’s filled with excitement, adventure, and one heck of a great cast of characters. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

I can’t stop reading this series

I love the main characters and the storyline. I love the built world and all of the mystery. The FMC is a strong badass that holds her own but knows she needs the men in her life. This is bec Ming a favorite series for me in 2023.
