In the new Bay Island Psychic Mystery, psychic Cass Donovan is thrown into the middle of a macabre murder she never saw coming . . .

With the summer tourist season on Bay Island in full swing, shop owner Cass Donovan barely has a minute to breathe, and things at Mystical Musings become even more hectic when a fight breaks out at one of her psychic readings. Shaken by the fracas and discouraged that her sixth sense seems to be on the blink, Cass is even more dispirited to learn that one of the men involved in the altercation was later found dead—and that a close friend of hers is the main suspect.

Desperate to help her friend prove his innocence and consumed by haunting visions, Cass follows the clues from one possible culprit to the next, including some very mysterious tourists and not a few questionable locals. And when the police turn to Cass to help them find out who committed the ghoulish deed, she knows she’ll have to tread carefully, because her next grim premonition may be her last . . .

Lena Gregory is one of my favorite cozy mystery authors. She creates layers in both her characters and her story lines. It is tourist season in this installation of A Bay Island Psychic Mystery series. Cass Donovan’s Mystical Musings shop is swamped. When a fight breaks out at one of Cass’s readings and one of the men involved in the fight later shows up dead. Cass’s concern is twofold. First, there is a murderer on the loose in Bay Island and second, her sixth sense seems to be on the blink since she didn’t see it coming. To add further mayhem to the mix, Cass’s close friend is named as a suspect in the homicide. The clues take us on a delightful path full of twists and turns as Cass seeks to trap the murderer before the murderer traps Cass in his/her murderous web. If you are a fan of cozy mysteries and haven’t picked up one of Lena Gregory’s books yet, I highly recommend this series and the All-Day Breakfast Cafe Mystery cozies.

I have very much enjoyed this series and was happy to see it continue. The characters are all well written and I love the friendship between Cass, Bee and Stephanie. The secondary cast of characters all interact well and round out the story. This series is showing a bit more of the paranormal as Cass' abilities seem to be either returning or growing. I love her dog Beast and the bit of comic relief he provides with his antics. The mystery was well done and flowed nicely throughout the story. The identity of the killer was not a mystery throughout the entire story as clues came to light, but I was surprised how it all wrapped up.

I really enjoy this author's writing. Every time I read a story written by Ms. Gregory I am highly entertained with a well written plot, likable characters and a mystery that keeps me engaged and turning pages to see how the story ends. I will definitely be back for more of this series.

I voluntarily read a digital ARC provided to me by the publisher through Netgalley.

Just when I thought that this series couldn't get any better, I find myself wishing that this book didn't have to end! I remember doing that with the others too. I just love these characters, especially Bee. He's such a sweetheart and a faithful friend who would do anything for Cass or Stephanie. Because of a case he was working and the murder that followed, Luke wasn't able to spend much time with Cass, but when he did, it was nice, quality time. At least for me, the reader! They're so cute together! I think my favorite scene though featured Bee, Beast and Cass while Cass was trying to give Beast a bath. I laughed so much while reading that part!

This book could be enjoyed as a standalone, but I really recommend reading the first three to get the maximum fun out of this series. You might just fall in love with Bay Island and its characters!

Cass has a shop in the seaside town of Bay Island where she does psychic readings. At one of her group readings, there's a heckler, and things get out of hand. Later, a friend is accused of murder, and Cass and her friends try to prove his innocence, with help from the Great Beyond. This is the 4th in a series, but I had no difficulty reading this cute paranormal cozy mystery as a stand-alone.

Lena Gregory is one of my favourite cozy authors, I love her All Day Breakfast Day Cafe series. I have not read the earlier books in the Bay Island Psychic mysteries yet although I did receive them for christmas.

And when the police turn to Cass to help them find out who committed the ghoulish deed, she knows she’ll have to tread carefully, because her next grim premonition may be her last . . .

The book has likeable characters that are all well written and developed. I enjoy a series with a bit of the paranormal and this one fits in as Cass' abilities seem to be either returning or growing.
I loved Cass, Bee and Stephanie's friendship (Lena is great with writing characters that you want to be friends with). I am also a sucker for dogs in books and I loved her dog Beast and his antics.

The mystery flowed nicely throughout, keeping me intrigued that I read in one sitting. There were enough plot twists and turns to keep me guessing almost till the end.

I highly recommend this book to all my cozy loving friends.

I requested and received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Beyond the Page Publishing and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my OWN.

This is the fourth book in the Bay Island Psychic Mystery series.

This series caught my interest from the very first scene and I was engaged and wanting to know more. It was a fun book and reading it made me want to go back and read all the previous books in the series. Even with it being my first foray into this storybook world, I found my way around easily although knowing a bit more about the residents might have been nice.

The whole psychic thing was interesting and I realized there should be more of it in these pages especially notations with tarot cards or other items someone like her might use. That seemed a bit lacking. I almost wanted to title this story: Cass Donovan and the Girl Who Cleans Up. The girl got no sleep in this book and every other chapter she had to get out her mop and scrub away.

I felt the middle plotting got a bit muddled. The red herrings seemed to cross over themselves and I didn’t realize exactly how many off screen suspects we had until nearly the last few chapters.

I thought this was a good book. The mystery could have been better plotted but I found it a fun ride. This would make a good tv series to go along with the Good Witch. I do hope to pick up more books by Lena Gregory. It was a new author for me and I will keep her books in my TBR pile for sure.

I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this title.

Cass is knee deep in the tourist season and doesn't have time to even stop and think. When an altercation happens during one of her readings she feels as if she isn't centered. She really starts feeling as if her senses are off when one of the men from the blowup ends up dead. She isn't sure quite what is wrong but knows that she must get centered because a good friend has become a main suspect in the mans death. With all the things that she is seeing Cass knows that she must look toward her visions and follow what they are telling her to help her friend. The suspect list is long and with some of them being tourists she hopes that she'll be able to see just who the murderer is before this becomes a case that remains unsolved. Follow along as Cass looks toward her visions for clues as well as answers, helps the police, and also helps her friend in figuring out who the killer is and why they decided to become a killer. This was the first book I've read from this author and it was a great way to be introduced. Even though I hadn't read previous books I didn't feel lost and the characters were easy to get to know. I look forward to returning to the beginning and getting to know the characters even more.

Spirited Away by Lena Gregory is the fourth book in the Bay Island Psychic mystery series, and boy was I glad to be back with this fun cast of characters. Cass owns Mystical Musings and once again finds herself tangled up in some pretty sticky situations. Bee ~ one of Cass’s best friends and fashion designer extraordinaire ~ is probably my all-time favorite secondary character. He is smart, funny and supports Cass unconditionally. If you love cozy mysteries with a touch of the paranormal, you’ll love this series. Cass uses her psychic abilities and astute intuition to solve the mystery and I really enjoy following her on the trail. I’m so excited to see where Cass’s relationship with Luke heads in the next book as well.

I received this book from NetGalley and I am sharing my honest thoughts. My review is not influenced in any way.

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Cass is always fun to follow in an adventure and this newest one is the best so far! During a horrid heat wave the a/c at the shop breaks on the same day as the public reading making things tense. Add in feelings of wrongness to get Cass to have one doozy of a performance that ends with two customers fighting. Worried about her reputation she almost doesn't notice the dead body that takes over the gossip possibly saving her. A surprise visitor asks her to get involved with the investigation which leads to clues and twists galore mixed with all our favorite quirky characters. Perfect for fans of copies with a touch of the supernatural. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Cass Donovan is an ex-psychiatrist who gave up her practice and her husband back in Manhattan and moved home to Bay Island to open a psychic shop that sells gifts and items that help people. She has her two best friends -- Bee, a clothing designer who lives down the street, and Stephanie, an accountant who does her books and is married to Tank, a police detective. She's also recently learned that her boyfriend Luke, another police detective, has moved to the island; but they aren't spending a lot of time together due to the fact that he's hot in the middle of art thieves who are hiding their treasures.

But Cass is tense and worried, partly because she doesn't know what's happening with her. While she's always depended upon her intuition to help her out, lately she's felt 'otherworldly' forces at work and visions that come to her which are unsettling, to say the least. She doesn't know what to make of it, and not knowing why has put her on edge.

It's the middle of the tourist season, and she's not happy that her air conditioning is on the fritz and can't get fixed until the next day, especially since she has a group reading to do that evening. Still, she carries on even with the oppressing heat in the room but can't seem to get a read on anyone, being unable to concentrate. When she finally does and blurts out something she normally wouldn't have done, not only do people get upset, it nearly causes a fight to break out between her handyman and mechanic Emmett and and another man she doesn't know.

When the second man, later identified at Dirk Brinkman, is found dead in the trunk of a car at Emmett's shop, he's suspected of the murder. But Cass knows that Emmett wouldn't kill anyone, and while she's vowed to stay out the investigation, something -- or someone -- is urging her to get involved. When the stakes turn higher than anyone expected, Cass has to decide whether to stay or put her own life on the line...

This is the fourth book in the series and I do believe that they are getting better as they progress. Cass is discovering that her psychic powers are growing, and visions are beginning to appear to her, and she doesn't know what to make of it. This time, she's only given a bit of information to work with and she tries to figure out what it means, all the while with Bee by her side, trying to help her but making no bones that he doesn't believe any of it, not does he believe in ghosts (but we the reader know otherwise).

I love Bee. He's brave, strong, and the best friend that Cass could have, sticking by her no matter what. He's also funny and has no problem making fun of himself, which shows that he has enough self-esteem not to worry about other people. It gives him an edge that's great. Cass is gentle, kind, fiercely loyal to her friends, and opening up her abilities and allowing them to guide her, and I do like the fact that Chief Rawlins believes in her and is becoming a friend.

Watching the story come together slowly is quite interesting, and when Cass starts to realize that the pieces are falling together, it's almost too late. But she uses her own strength and intuition to give her the answers she's looking for, and the climax is definitely worth waiting for. When the murderer is revealed it all makes sense, and we find that the motive is one as old as time itself.

When all is said and done, the ending was satisfying and gives us something to look forward to in the next book. Highly recommended.

SPIRITED AWAY by Lena Gregory
The Fourth Bay Island Psychic Mystery

The heat wave spells trouble for Bay Island and its inhabitants, especially Cass Donovan. Cass knows something bad is going to happen, but she goes through with her group reading anyway. It proves to be an unmitigated disaster ending with two patrons nearly coming to blows. By the end of the night one is dead. Several people are back on the island, all planning to destroy Cass, ruining her reputation and her business. As Cass tries to prove her friend Emmett didn't kill his old nemesis, she finds her psychic abilities growing. Will they help her to solve the murder and save, not only her reputation, but her life?

There's a heat wave in Bay Island and the heat is driving everything forward. Heat increases the intensity of everything, irritability, anger and conflict. The conflict is this fourth Bay Island Psychic Mystery is brutal. One horrible thing after another happens to Cass and while some are minor, some could have catastrophic effects. Her whole existence on the island is at risk. The stakes have never been higher, either for Cass or her friends, as they face several despicable characters.

There's so much that I love about the Bay Island Psychic Mystery series, the unwavering friendship between Cass, Bee, and Stephanie, the crystals and other tools of divination in Mystical Musings, and Beast! I love how Cass is coming to accept her psychic ability and that it's playing a much larger role in the book. I'm excited to see Chief Rawlins and appreciate the way she works with Cass. I enjoy seeing Beast and laugh at his antics...I'm still giggling about the results from the colored pencils.

SPIRITED AWAY is an intense mystery that had my heart pumping as it filled with dread. Lena Gregory made my emotions run high as I saw Cass' world starting to crumble. Layers of suffering and danger continued to rise until reaching a soul searing climax. I'm grateful for an exciting read, but am definitely ready for some cooler temperatures!

This is a ho-hum little cozy for us mystery fans who enjoy beachy tourist-trap settings and a teeny tiny dash of mystical magic added to the mix. I’ll start with the good: The Bay Island setting lured me in, making me think of my vacations in Port-A, where I love to spend my days at the tourist shops and licking ice cream cones on the boardwalk. I also really loved the gay male BFF who provided some comic relief here and there with his sass and charm.

Now onto the bad: The main character is a cardboard cutout of all the other amateur sleuths in traditional cozies. She’s just this super nice “Mary Sue” character who inevitably throws herself into the killer’s trap like a suicidal idiot. She also has the requisite detective boyfriend who constantly nags her about staying out of the murder investigation…blah, blah, blaaaaahhhhh. And OMG!!! What was this girl thinking in the opening chapter when she went through with her big psychic reading event while the a/c was on the fritz??? I live in Texas, so the very thought of this gives me the hives. And while her handyman is temporarily incarcerated, why oh why must she wait to fix her a/c out of respect for him?! Girl, I think he would understand since you’re trying t run a business during a heat wave.

I don’t know. Maybe somewhere deep in her subconscious, she wants to drive customers away. If so, that’s the way to do it! And speaking of customer service, I’m not understanding why she provides psychic readings to her costumers while simultaneously running the entire shop. I don’t know much about psychics, but don’t they need full concentration to look into people’s auras and stuff? If I was paying good money for a reading, I would be a little perturbed if the psychic interrupted a message from a dead loved one to greet a new customer.

I’m sad to say that the bad outweighs the good in this series, so I will just mosey along to something a little less cliched and a lot less crazy-making.

Originally published on my blog: Nonstop Reader.

Spirited Away is the fourth book in a paranormal cozy series by Lena Gregory. Released 21st May 2019, it's 310 pages and available in paperback and ebook formats.

Despite being the fourth book in the series, it works well enough as a standalone. The characterizations are clear and the basic backstory is included. The MC has a psychic reading and tarot shop in a tourist town. After a long and challenging day (air conditioning on the blink, half concussed in an accidental door to head encounter, wardrobe malfunction, and her psychic gift being wonky) she is persuaded to give a group public reading anyhow. The author's vivid description of the ensuing mortifying catastrophe left me writhing in embarrassment. It was literally difficult to read (and felt like it went on forever).

After the initial setup, the plot moves along with a murder, some plot developments between the MC and her boyfriend, a detective in the town. It's always nice to find another cozy series to enjoy. This one is competently written and well paced and plotted. The denouement is satisfying and enjoyable.

There is a major paranormal component, so I would recommend this book for readers who wouldn't find that aspect an extra load on their suspension of disbelief. There were a few times when I felt that the dialogue was a trifle simplistic and overly dramatic, but taken as a whole, it's a light fun read. The language is clean. The violence is off-page. It's a fun and cozy summer read.

Three and a half stars.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.

Fourth in the series and the first I have read. I was drawn in by the cover, description, and author. I have read all of her All-Day Breakfast Café Mysteries and enjoyed them.

Ms Gregory has become a “go to” author for me as I know I will be entertained when I pick up one of her books. I look forward to reading the first 3 in the series.

The plot is well written, the characters are genuine, and the story kept me turning the pages.

Cass is having a bad day. Her A/C isn't working and she has a bad feeling, but can't pin-point what the problem may be. She has a group reading and accidentally embarrasses several of the guests. Then a fight breaks out between a friend and a heckler. Later that night the friend is accused of murdering the heckler.

This was fun and the I loved the characters. Cass and her crew are likeable characters. Cass just wants to help others and her friends back her up. I have to like the characters and this cast is great. I enjoyed the setting, New Age/Psychic was interesting. The mystery had several red herrings. It is not the first in the series, but it is the first I have read. It was easy to keep the characters straight, so don't be afraid to dive right in.

Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book.

Kindle Copy for Review from NetGalley and Beyond the Page Publishing

I received a free, advance copy of this book and this is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Cass is busy with readings during the summer tourist season when a fight breaks out. This shaken her as her sixth sense seems to stop working properly. Even worse one of the men arguing is later found dead and one of her friends is prime suspect.

She must battle haunting images to prove her friend’s innocence as she investigates. Cass must be careful or she might just find herself as the next victim if she does not tread lightly.
Once again the author proves her writing ability.

This is book #4 in the "Bay Island Cozy Mystery Series. "This is my first book in the series and I was delighted to read this for review. Thank you to the author for the special request to the publisher. I was easily able to catch up on the series back stories with this book as the author does a wonderful job of updating the reader on her charcters . I highly recommend this book and this is one of my favorite new series for this avid cozy reader ! I will be following up and reading the prior books in series. I look forward to reading the next in series as this wonderful series does progress to the next book. The author also writes the fabulous not to be missed "All Day Breakfast Cafe " series which I have read and highly recommend.,

Cass Donovan owns Mystical Musings shop and does psychic readings. She has a successful business and is well liked in her town. She has a rare gift and sees visions. She has built her business on trust of the local townspeople who believe in her. When a fight breaks out at one of her readings. she is upset and wondering if her gift is fading. She does not have time to worry as one of the person's involved is soon found dead. One of her friends is the main suspect so Cass is on the case. She soon has terrible visions that give her clues to the suspect. As her visions get worse she works with the police to solve the case before another murder occurs. .

The book has great characters that we all want to be friends with. The sleuth is well written and fascinating as it develops. I did not guess the conclusion. I love the paranormal and this series is the perfect blend of paranormal and sleuthing. There is a wonderful dog int he story that belongs to Cass that is a fun addition. As a first time reader I am hooked and looking forward to the next in series. A very highly recommended mystery series . I give 5 stars.

It has been a long time since I read any books from the Bay Island Psychic Mysteries. Some books you read and forget but I enjoyed them so much I can still remember what they were about. I picked up right where I left off with all of the characters. I’m so grateful for connecting with Lena Gregory recently. She sent me the last four books in the series and I jumped right in.

Cass Donovan owns Mystical Musings on Bay Island. She’s always super busy with shop and doing private readings. Her air conditioning broke on a really hot day and she still needed to conduct a psychic reading with a big group of people. On this particular night, Cass wasn’t as focused and someone was heckling her which turned into a fight between Emmett and Dirk. Cass was so upset about how the reading went until she found out Dirk was dead and her friend Emmett was a suspect. She was desperate to help prove her friend didn’t kill Dirk. Cass started focusing on the women she kept hearing voices from and trying to understand her haunting visions.

I really enjoyed this cozy mystery. I will always love and adore Cass, Bee and Stephanie’s friendship. They will absolutely do anything for each other. Bay Island is like a small town where everyone knows each other and word spreads fast. I love reading about Cass and her psychic abilities. One of my favorite parts of the story besides her dog Beast, is when people come into her shop. I love hearing about why the customers are i the shop and what she suggests them to buy for each scenario. Her friends always support her and help try to solve the murder together. I’m jumping right into the next book!

I am so happy that Lena Gregory’s Bay Island Psychic Mysteries has a book 4!! I love Cass, Bee, Luke, Stephanie, and Tank and was worried we wouldn’t get anymore of them. Thanks to Beyond the Page for publishing another book in this wonderful, entertaining, and amazing series.

The story in Spirited Away is unique and entertaining. I was completely engaged from the very beginning. Cass has integrated nicely in Bay Island and her shop is popular. Her group readings are highly attended but in Spirited Away, Cass wakes up feeling a bit off, has issues during the group reading, and a fight breaks out bringing the evening to an end. When one of the men in the fight is found dead, all fingers point to the other man. Knowing the accused isn’t guilty, Cass sets off to figure out who did the crime. She does this all while hearing ghostly voices, having weird dreams, and dealing with sabotage of her business. This book is engaging, exciting, and intense at times. Fortunately, Cass has a wonderful support system.

I really enjoy all the characters. Their dynamics create a friendship that is warm and emotional, and they have each other's backs - no matter what. Cass's character is very down-to-earth. She's been likable from the very beginning of the series. It is easy to connect to her, whether you believe in psychic abilities or not. Stephanie and Bee are wonderful sidekicks to Cass main character. They are supportive and comforting to Cass.

Lena Gregory's Bay Island Psychic Mysteries is a wonderful series with fun and exciting characters.

As we continue to get to know more about Cass Donovan and her Bay Island friends, Cass's psychic sensitivities are growing and being revealed to her. As a teenager she used to tell fortunes on the beach for spending money. Now, all grown and having experienced the ups and downs of life, she is back on Bay Island catering to the tourist trade. Summer income will make or break a business.
An incident at her public group reading, early in the summer, could ruin her reputation and her business. It could also put a deadly end to her closest friendships.

This has easily become one of my favorite cozy mystery series. I love the friendships and the characters I've met here. The author does a wonderful job of keeping me glued to the edge of my seat, not wanting to put the book down.
It is a clean series, not graphic, but with clues the reader can follow on their own. There is a hint of romance which does not overpower the main reason readers are drawn to this series. The author also throws in moments that made me smile, which is always appreciated.

Whether you are a believer or not, the paranormal elements of this story will have you wondering how the connections are being made and who is in danger. Cass finally finds validation for her abilities from some important people, including herself. Which leads us to wonder, how will this realization influence what comes next?
I can't wait to find out!

First things first: this is the fourth book in the series, but can certainly be read as a standalone. The characters and storylines are clear enough and explained well.

This was a great cozy mystery, perfect for a beach escape with some creepy edge.

Cass Donovan has established a good reputation on Bay Island as an intuitive medium, but that takes a bit of a dive when a reading goes haywire and two locals get into a fight. Then one of them ends up dead, and the other, a good friend of Cass, is the prime suspect. But there’s a lot more going on on Bay Island than just some small-scale tussles, and Cass and her friends, Bee and Stephanie, find themselves knee-deep in the local drama.

I loved the Bay Island setting, it was perfect for a bit of a creepy atmosphere - the place had the small-town atmosphere that just makes everything feel a little claustrophobic and like you can’t really trust anyone. The central mystery was good and really tied all the loose ends and little clues together.

The characters were absolutely great - Cass, Bee and Stephanie make a great team and make you want to hang out with them at the diner. Plus, Beast is a great addition to the cast. I liked that he just had these moments of hilarity peppered into the main storyline.

Overall, I will definitely be reading more of this series. It is everything a cozy mystery should be - a little creepy, with a great atmosphere and characters and an overall light-hearted tone.

"Spirited Away" is the fourth in the in the "Bay Island Psychic Mysteries," by Lena Gregory. It is also the first one to be in a softcover, as opposed to mass market paperback edition. My copy has 211 pages of story.

So, the new format threw me, the fact that it is also published by a different company threw me, but at the end of the day, I enjoyed this more than I thought I would.

I love seeing the strong friendships Cass Donovan, our Bay Island Psychic, as well as owner of Mystical Musings, with her best friends Stephanie, wife of "Tank," a local police officer, as well as Bee, her GBF (Gay Best Friend), who owns Dreamweaver Designs. I also love seeing Cass getting closer to Luke, who now works with Tank (not his real first name, but nicknamed Tank because he looks like he is built like a tank, as in the vehicle).

And, it looks like Cass is finally fully accepting her Psychic abilities, after all. As a professional Psychic Reader myself, I have met many people who have struggled with accepting their Intuition and/or Psychic abilities, as well as fearing them.

In the meantime, I look forward to reading "Grave Consequences," fifth in this series, as one of my books to read in 2026.

I really enjoyed this cozy mystery by Lena Gregory. This is the fourth book in the Bay Island Psychic mystery series. Class Donovan, our main character and psychic is off her game, and after a disastrous group reading and an ongoing sense of foreboding, Cass knew trouble was coming. Soon after the group reading gone bad, one of the attendees is found dead, and Cass’ handyman is the main suspect. A woman’s voice tells Cass to help him. Cass and her friends Bee and Stephanie are reluctantly pulled into the investigation when Cass’ boyfriend police detective Luke hits a dead end in his investigation.

This had some twists and turns and I did enjoy the book. I wish there was a little more backstory to the characters, but being the fourth book, I understand why there wasn’t more. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a cozy mystery with a psychic twist. Thanks to #NetGalley for advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I loved the first two books in this series and couldn't wait to read this: it didn't disappoint me, a great mistery with a bit of paranormal, wonderful characters, a compelling storyline.

Cass knows that something is going to happen but continues her psychic readings. During one of these, however, a terrible quarrel occurs and one of the two litigants is found dead. One of her dear friends is the main suspect, she knows she's innocent and will help the police to exonerate her.

The characters are fantastic, especially Cass and Bee. Her powers are getting stronger but she has to fight against everyone, has many enemies who want to ruin her reputation.

It was a truly compelling read, the author is very good at keeping you glued to the pages and suffering together with Cass. There are many funny and some very sweet scenes. The setting is also amazing.

Highly recommended for those who love paranormal mysteries

Lena Gregory has a good, little-psychic series going with Spirited Away. Cass is having a party in which a reading occurs but everything is going wrong and culminates with a death later that night. The book starts out slow... but picks up steam around Chapter four...her friend is accused of a murder. The Series has a strong character in Bee, who always has our main character's back and I really grew to like him.

The lifestyle and the cast of characters interacting with Cass are strong. I felt that the book had a lot of cleaning, wiping, and no-sleep descriptions, but the psychic moments were fun and I found myself wishing to know a lot more about crystals, moonstones, and readings. This is a new Author to me and I will be reading more of her work. A fun book... you will enjoy reading on those long, summer nights.

My thanks to Netgalley and Beyond the Page

I read this book not evening knowing it was part of a series. I feel in love with the characters and the story line. I was not lost reading this book and when I discovered it was book 4 in the series I cannot lie I was excited. I will be going back to read the other books in the series. Lena Georgy is now one of my favorite cozy mystery authors.
Cass Donovan is a psychic who owes her own psychic shop in Bay Island. Talk about having a bad day. During a reading Cass’s abilities are not on point and if something could go wrong it did. A fight breaks out only to discover later one of them ends up murdered. When she discovers one of her friends is a suspect Cass will have to get in focus on her psychic ability to try and solve the murder before anyone else ends up dead.
If you love cozy mysteries I highly recommend this book and if you haven’t ever read Lena Georgy do yourself a favor and pick one of her books up.

A great read, that is very captivating, intriguing and darn right entertaining. Cass could not sit idly by and not assist her friend when in need, so she sets about investigating and searching for clues, that would aid in clearing her friend from a murder he did not commit. With her psychic ability, she had an edge over the law and when the Police chief requested her help. She could not say no for she soon learned that time might not be on their side as her best friend life was at stake. They were pushed for time and Cass called upon all she knew for assistance. A delightful beach or anytime read.
