"I may wear white on stage, but I'm definitely a devil you don't want to dance with."
Tulsa Crow, you won my heart since turning the first page of your book. Can I please have my very own Tulsa? Like, right now? Suzie, you have a gift to write book-boyfriends that are too good to be true. You give us guys we can dream about.
"Until now, I never knew what I was missing, but she makes it easy to see. This feels like what I want. She feels like what I need."
Tulsa and Nikki's story felt like riding a free-fall tower. At one point you are shooting up, which already feels insane. But then, without a warning you fall. This sensation, this thrill what makes your heart race is what Tulsa and Nikki's love story feels like. They crash hard and fast, but as their souls seems to be bound, like they recognize each other and where waiting for the other for a long time. It all feels so natural.
"I can play live in front of twenty-thousand screaming fans, but only one woman holds the key to my destiny."
Tulsa is great. I don't have another word for him. Sure he is cocky, but he has all right to be. He's charming, ridiculously good looking and a personality that draws people in. At least if you give him a chance to open up, to be himself. As much as he is a boy who enjoys his time with woman, he's not using them. He respects them. Nikki can see through his armor and makes a beeline right for his heart. I love the way he opens up to Nikki, how he opens up to the feelings so unknown to him. For his 23 years he's more grown up than he should be at this age. But life happens and has way to form you. Tulsa is sensual and cares deeply for the people he loves. Family and music is everything to him. And so is now Nikki.
"We're the best kind of head-on collision. We crashed into love without a safety net, so there's no saving me now."
Nikki is a wonderful heroine. She's strong-willed and witty. She has her own way of dealing with cocky musicians and within the tough music business she holds her own, standing her ground. In her past she had to endure things that made her the strong woman she's today. And I respect her for what she did and what she became. She's a fighter and I enjoyed her way of falling for Tulsa. He has an incredible way of boosting her self-confidence just by being there, being him and let Nikki be herself.
"Somewhere along this tour I stopped looking for the stars and found you."
Tulsa and Nikki are perfect for each other. Their chemistry is insane and even though everything seems to happen almost too fast, it seems to be perfect for them at the same time. It just fits their personalities and makes them simply them.
Tulsa is a great story that shows if something feels this right, it can't be wrong. And if you are in love, act on it. Don't waste time.
Great rock-star romance that makes you want your very own drummer boy. Because drummers hit it harder and they do it with rhythm.
