Enjoyable read, not the best but definitely not the worst

I enjoyed the plot of this series! I just felt like it was missing something? Maybe more emotion between the characters? I’m not sure, but I found the series just... lacking something. It wasn’t a bad read at all, it was interesting, and we definitely had a strong main character, but I do feel like it was missing something. Maybe it was just a little dragged out, and that’s what’s feeling off to me. But it was still worth it to read, it wasn’t bad!

Excellent series, must be read in order or better yet the box set as I did .
Yes it’s a reverse Harem series but to be honest it’s not a steamy or erotic as most , and the story way more than makes up for its genre.
The characters are wonderful the story is stunning, and I would recommend it

With bated breath, I devoured each book without having to wait. Each page held me captive with its unbridled intensity and gripping plot. The story follows Alexis, a young woman who has spent her entire life believing she had a rare sickness, confined to a hospital for treatment. Little did she know, her entire existence was a lie...until four strong men break into the facility and turn her world upside down. As she grapples with the truth about her past and the realization that she is not sick but actually a shifter, she finds herself inexplicably drawn to her rescuers. These hunky men become her allies, and together they must fight against the evil forces that created them. In the midst of danger and deception, love blooms between Alexis and her protectors, and they may just find salvation in each other's arms as they face their ultimate enemy.

A really interesting take on the shifter genre. You get pulled in early into the first book and by the time you get introduced to the male MC's you are fully invested. The story flows quickly and easily it keeps moving along without long periods of wondering when something would happen. The 4 books roll together seamlessly and if I hadn't had the box set I would have been grabbing one book after the other to find out how it will end.

If you are a fan of reverse harem, shifters, suspense and good beating evil then this series is for you.

Book 1 - Wolf Hunted

Alexis has lived the past 10 years in the Strand facility while they try to save her life. With her rare condition if she ever went outside it would likely kill her. She always hoped one day she would be cured and she could finally leave and start living her real life. But life isn't what she has been led to believe the Strand corporation is evil and all she has ever known is about to be shattered.

Rhys, West, Jackson and Noah are looking to rescue Rhys's sister after years held prisoner and experimenting on, they managed to escape but couldn't bring Sariah with them. Rhys would not leave her behind, he would track her down eventually. They break into the Strand facility in Austin in hopes she is there but they don't find her. While escaping though they were able to save Alexis.

Alexis doesn't understand what is going on and why these 4 men insist on saving her, but if they take her out of the facility she will die. It isn't long before it seems that maybe that isn't true. When her 4 saviours start to deliver some truths it is unbelievable to her, but she can't deny what she has seen for herself though.

Strand won't give up their prize easily though and soon begin the hunt her down. The group hope to find others that had escaped Strand before in hopes they will help with the rescue of Sariah. Strand is closer than they hoped though.

Book 2 - Wolf Called

Alexis wishes the wolf everyone talks about really was in her since she needs it so badly right now. Luckily she rises when it matters most, Alexis doesn't know how to deal with her though and she doesn't get out of the danger fast enough. When the guys find her she is in bad shape and they take a risk to try and get her help.

When Alexis wakes she sees the 4 men she has been falling for and her wolf sees her mates. Now their bond reaches a whole new level. After some time healing she remembers a flash from her escape it was Sariah's name, they finally know where to find her. Despite their limited resources and help, they make the move.

The plan does not go the way they hoped but it was a success and now they have new shifters, they need to help. They need to approach the lost pack again and hope for help, but after the last time, they may not be welcome.

Book 3 - Wolf Claimed

The pack is not melding well and there is a lot of underlying issues that could cause an implosion. Because of that Alexis and her pack stick by to try and make the joining easier. The more Alexis and her mates bond the more her wolf and her become one.

It seems the pack is in more trouble than they first thought. Strand has managed to keep tabs on them despite staying back. It means that there are enemies within. The pack will be forced to run but not before there is a shift in power within the pack. Alexis just hopes it's for the better.

Book 4 - Wolf Freed

It's time to take the fight to Strand, the wolves will never be free while Strand is forever on their tail. While they don't know where to go from here they can't stay where they are. They just need a plan.

Despite all their good intentions, Alexis finds out something she never thought could be. It rocks her world but it can't change what needs to be done. Alexis won't let Strand keep doing the evil they have been. They will find a way to end them.

It looks like the answers they need are finally within reach and the end may be in sight. But the evil reaches deep and Dr Shepherd may be crazier than they ever knew. It will come down to a battle for their survival and they may not all make it.

Happy Reading.

Shirt or Different Shirt

Title: The Last Shifter: The Complete Series
Author: Sadie Moss
Format: ebook
Genre: paranormal romance, shifter (Wolf), suspense, RH
Standalone: yes This book contains the entire series
Part of a Series: The Last Shifter
POV: Alexis
Steam Level: Slow burn to toasty at times
5/5

Wow! This was an amazing series and best read in this box set. Alexis and her mates deal with situations that are either shirt or different shirt. But along they way she/they find love, happiness, strength and community.

Book 1: Wolf Hunted
4/5

I listened to this book a few years ago and it’s stayed with me and I’ve been dying to know what’s going to happen. Wolf Hunted is just as insane and wild the second time around. I love Alexis and the guys. The guts are so different but work well together as a team, a pack. I’m excited to see what’s going to happen next.

Book 2: Wolf Called
4/5

Wolf Called starts just after Wild Hunted ends. Insane and fast-paced from the start we meet Alexis’s Wolf, a few previous characters and a few new along the way. While this book ends in a cliffhanger it’s not as insane as the first book. I loved the mix of action, adventure and humor throughout.

Book 3: Wolf Claimsd
5/5

Holy biscuits I’m so glad I’m reading this in the box set. Wolf Claimed was intense and kept me on the edge of my seat. The climactic events kept throwing more and more insanity Alexis’s way but that cliffhanger… OMG THAT CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!!

Book 4: Wolf Freed
5/5

Wolf Freed is the epic final installment of The Last Shifter series. Everything has built up to this fast-paced, action-packed and exciting climax to this series. I didn’t want to stop reading, wanting to see what would happen next but also didn’t want the book to end.

Scary & Sexy. Full of Love & Sacrifce!!🐺💘🙏🌟🔥

I read these books individually. To have them available in a boxset is great 😍

It's full of great characters who grow throughout, they have flaws & even claws - sometimes 😉🐺 It's scary, full of love & fear but always it's about fighting for each other, family & freedom!!😍🙏 There's great sacrifice but also amazing rewards!!💘💥🌟

An unmissable series from start to finish!🌟 The RH aspect grows with each book, it's super hot by the end!!🔥💘🔥

Past Paced and Actioned Packed

I loved this series. I lived how Alexis went from a scared girl and evolved into a strong shifter woman. Each of the men had scars from their time into the Strand. They all had some sort of emotional turmoil that they had to get through. This made every character seem human. Get the series and read it. You won't be sorry.

A three rating from me means good, but I just didn't particularly enjoy the series. I felt that the plot had potential but the story was dragged out to 4 books that felt weaker and had more filler than solid content. Having said that, there was a decent plot in there.

I think my favorite part was the ending

Not giving away spoilers but there was something wonderful about the way every question presented here was answered there aren't lose ends and a ton of questions when finishing this novel, there's just this sense of the story being completed. There are definitely other characters I'd love to read more about but Alexis's story wraps up wonderfully and you don't see that nearly enough in fiction. Definitely recommend.

Also she's not tall or blonde except for a few chapters in book one where she dyed her hair as a disguise. Fortunately it doesn't last. So kudos to Moss for her short brunette heroine and the fact that the heroes aren't all caucasian. Diversity isn't something you see enough in romance of any subgenre so I'm always impressed when I find it. Definitely recommended.

This Leads To and Through A Very Exciting Story OVER 18 READING

The Strand Corporation has found what they called 'The Source' . Only the Doctor Shephard knew where he got it and what he did to make it work to create wolf shifters. For years he had his hunters capture kids and young people from anywhere they found them for his experiments. Nobody knew how many died but for the ones who survived their horrible stories changed everything about them but leaders did appear. One young woman ( nicknamed Scrubs by her mates) who thought she suffered from a chronic disease and lived her life in the hospital under the Doctor Shepard's care but everything she thinks she knows is a lie. Six years earlier some of the males broke out but since men and women were kept separate they couldn't get Rhy's twelve year old sister Sariah out when they left. The four men stayed together and discovered things about the different labs and they broke into the one where $ was kept looking for his sister. They took $ with them not really knowing how special she was. $ world changed in a few hours and slowly she came to understand she wouldn't die just because she was outside. The four men try to protect her but as she becomes stronger she fights their need to be overprotective of her even before they realize they are all mates. They find human friends Carl and Molly (a nurse) who will help them and other shifters who had gotten away before and made small packs here and there. The battles are many with some losses on all sides as this twenty one year old woman discovers she is a shifter too. An alpha herself after accidentally defeating another alpha Elijah without even realizing her direct behavior was a challenge which made her the alpha after winning. She is shocked but her mates and some shifters who have become friends help her even the old alpha will eventually prove himself as a loyal member of her growing pack. The stories of how they went from human to test subjects to shifters are many but the fact that as leaders who developed first just got away and hid. But this young woman realizes that if the way the doctor made them wasn't destroyed no one human or shifter would be safe. There will be a final battle that will cause some special changes that will bring even more joy than then they feel by destroying 'The Source' and the doctor Shepherd . You will even find a update of two years later.

Sadie Moss is a reverse harem author with over six series written till date. This post is about her Last Shifter series. The series features Alexis, Rhys, Noah, Jackson and West as they meet by coincidence, mate by fate, and are en route to an epic battle for their survival.

Living by the day has made Alexis feel protected, even as she is not sure of her future. Luckily or unluckily, her future involves 4 men, who definitely hadn’t expected her.

The series is a roller coaster ride if the roller-coaster is an apocalypse. It is fantasy with a healthy dose of science mixed in. It is another story of power corrupting men, but not quite the same.

Last shifter is a series on the run. The victims are in hiding; the attackers are openly assaulting any human they can lay their hands on. One thing that saddened me was the small snippet of the real world that started the torture of the shifters.

The last shifter series has a lot of love to offer. The relationship that Alexis shares with each of her mates is a beautiful development and so is the promise of a happy family at the end of the series.

The worst series from the author so far

First, the romance felt very forced and contrived. Second, I didnt like Alexis and how helpless and needy she was, the whole 'damsel needs rescuing by cute guys' is so 1950s. I like the FMC to be tough, badass and independant. Also her developement was non existant until her wolf appeared, and even then she was still pretty weak, clingy and needy🤮. Also the romance was pretty minimal for a long time. THEN towards the end we get a gay scene with West and Rhys....OH Hell NO!!! That ruined the whole damn story for me...authors need to be clear what were getting into as the readers. If this is going to be Ms. Moss' style of romance (M/M action), then Im stopping right here and now. Plus the story wasnt even THAT intetesting. As a whole, Ms. Moss is a fairly good story teller but she's a far cry from Sarah J Maas' calaber. ** If your expecting this book to be similiar to Academy of Unpredictable Magic...and that Alexis is somewhat similiar to Elliot Sinclair, be prepared for a HUGE disappointment.**

2,5⭐

I love shifter tropes, so I was looking forward to read this series, but I have to say I was disappointed. It just didn't click for me I guess. The first book was the best imo, it was fast paced and full of drama. But then the other books were meh. Boring. The plot wasn't so interesting to spend so many pages in, some things I didn't really understand, like what the fuck.is the source and why after I was destructed, the women could get pregnant again.

The relationship between the harem was boring as hell. Some parts were told, and I hate it. I want to see the development of the relationship, not be told they grow closer together after some weeks. And the sex was repetitive, there weren't any group scenes, a lackluster threesome that suddenly developed to a MM relationship out of nowhere! And in the end West and Rhys were holding hands, like wth??? Are they together now too? WHAT?

Didn't like it and will.probably forget about it.
Sad.

Enjoyed these books but for some reason they just did not have a certain something that makes me unable to put the books down.

Really interesting twist on shifters being experimented on and created which I havent personally come across in a book before.

The female lead takes things in her stride throughout the books and is likeable enough, but doesn't seem to have much of a personality.

The four guys are written differently from.each other so does not fall into the usual trope in RH with the same character repeated just with different names. However they were just similar enough for it to be a bit annoying, I'm not much of a fan of where they just hero worship the female lead and if there had been a bit more grit between the characters I would have enjoyed that more

Overall a good story though

Amazing Series!!! ❤️
I read the four book separately and I can say this is an amazing series!!!... a great story line with wonderful characters and twists and turns to get you hooked... book 02 is so intense, so much action, unexpected turns, Alexis struggles harder than ever to control her shifting / wolf, she is so powerful; we still need to know why she is so special, that is going to be epic... the third book of the series shows us how the pack dynamics work and how Lexi and her mates are trying really hard to fit in, with no sucess at all 😁😅, but we have a dramatic twist in the final chapters... I was so sad to read the end of this amazing series but also so satisfied with that ending!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Glad I was able to read this as a complete box set. The story flowed well and dynamics between the characters was good. Alexis as a 21 yr old, barely seen the world for 10 yrs due to isolation, able to turn into an instant badass... not so much. Developing as a badass with her wolf... certainly... becoming alpha within months.... still a stretch but she was an elite specimen per the Doctor.
Rhys, West, Noah (Cliff), and Jackson - HOT HOT HOT still surprised there was limited sex amongst the mates and not any true 'pack' or 'doggy pile' antics, even though they slept in the same room. That's why its difficult to have West and Rhys so compatible at the very end...not sure it had to go there.
Good storyline but agree a slight edge was missing somehow.

I am so glad I didnt have to wait for each book

Because holy crap was this amazing.
Having spent her entire life thinking she had a rare sickness, living in a hospital, she never knew her entire life was a lie...until 4 strong men break into where shes being held and turns her world upside down...Alexis has to come to terms with her life being a lie and finding out that instead of being sick the doctors was making her into a shifter. She falls for all 4 hunky men who saved her...and they will stand together to take down the evil that created them. And they just might save each other in the end.

Love it!!!

I can honestly say that I was at the end of my seat throughout the whole book. The plot was well thought out and made me feel like it could really happen. I couldn't put my kindle down. Im not normally into harem stories, but this was amazing. I wished it had more scenes of multiples or all of them together sexually, but it still didn't disappoint me. The only thing that did disappoint ..... the book had to end at some point. I desperately wanted to keep reading and learn their whole life story. I love to read series and this didn't disappoint. I loved it so much that I'm moving onto the next series this author has written.

REALLY REALLY GOOD, A MUST READ SERIES

I’m so glad I waited for all the books to be out before diving in. But I started yesterday evening sporadically and here I am almost 6 am and I’ve been up all night reading! I love the story line and the characters and it is a different take on shifters and shifter origins from any others I’ve read. The romance is swoon worthy and the naughty parts even better! The books from 1 to 4 kept me hooked until the very end! I’ll be sure to check out more by this author!

Sigh, yet again so much potential but it just fell flat.

This is rh, but no sex except finally one scene in book one which was mf, same book 2. Wtf??

This book plods and plods and plods and now I came even be bothered to finished the series, managed first 2 books but book 3 and you know I've a ton of books to read and this isnt doing it fir me.

Maybe they'll actually get to some rh action in book 4 if they manage to keep the reader that long.

Love shifter books, but this series is mediocre and monotonous.

Not for me.

Great plot but there is favoritism

I really enjoyed this plot! Its different from what I have seen with shifter stories and it was a nice change. The characters are interesting although some are better developed than others. Which is the same with the harem. I dont mind the relationships developing at different rates but you can tell that some are favored over others. It's not the end of the world but it definitely is obvious which isn't usually the case in other RH. BUT the story is good and other than some character favoritism by the author it's well written.

Amazing series

I absolutely loved this series. Alexis and her mates were the cutest ever and I loved reading every second of their story. I really loved the facility that create shifters aspect of this story and how almost every character that we meet in this world are survivors of what evil people forced upon them. Also I loved that as Elijah stated every person (not just an alpha) has a choice of going down a sh*tty path or a different sh*tty path, you just have to choose the best path for you and the one you can accept taking in the long run.

A fantastic read. If you wolf Shifters this is definitely the read for you. Its part of a series. This is the third book in the series. And this read is epic. Its fast paced and action packed. Can her and her guys get the packs to get along. Before they could be found again. The Author reallt brings the Characters and storyline together great. She hits a home run. The book covers are a home run as well. I definitely recommend this read.

Good read, couldn't put it down.

There were parts that seemed to drag a little and a strange teetering of not enough sex and too much sex. Maybe the timing of where the sex scenes were. But the sex was good, the story line intriguing, and had captivating characters. So of course I couldn't put it down. I'll definitely be reading her other books! I like the way she writes <3

Fantastic

This book is fantastic. If I could give this book more than five 🌟 I love the characters and their progress. It made me go on an emotional roller-coaster ride.  Once I started reading, I knew that I was hooked and wanted to read more.

This has many twists and turns. You think it is going one way. Then it takes a different turn. I will go back to it when I have nothing I want to read or need an excellent story to read

A reverse harem paranormal romance where shifter were created by a mad scientist.
I really enjoyed the series and, being able to buy the box set, I read the whole series in one go and I was able to enjoy all the struggles and amazing characters and didn’t need to wait for the happily ever after to be released.
The characters are strong, flawed and resilient and I loved how they gave layers and colors to the story, each one serving their porpoise so we could have a happy ending.

Nice slow burn reverse harem

Why choose? Sexy West, grumpy Rhys, silly Jackson, and sweet Noah, I would take them all. And Alexis is no dummy, so she does! Alexis takes us on a journey from naive and innocent into a strong leader, learning and making mistakes along the way. Compelling and believable storyline, couldn't put it down.

I actually really liked this series and would have given it four stars but I do NOT like M/M in a RH and there was no warning in the blurb. And it just pops up multiple times in the last book. I almost stopped reading but ended up just skipping those parts. To me it’s like cheating. They should revolve just around her, not be having extra on the side.

Amazing

O love the set it allowed me to read entire series without waiting. She lives her entire life thinking she was ill. Then goes with 4 men and finds out everything is not what it seems. I love the journey and growth throughout the story. It was neat the way everything tied together in the end.

Beautifully wrote series with everything a girl could ask for shifters, mystery, romance and family. The plot to try and bring down the big evil keeps you on edge of your seat especially with the twists which accompany them. Brilliant intelligent strong heroine, hunky protective loving harem...swoon
