Unspoken is book one in the Unspoken Series by Ellie Danes. Jennifer Dunning was running late for her first day working at her father's law firm when she cashed into Cain at the left. The encounter with Cain leaves Jennifer with questions who is this man, and why do I have a connection with him. However, when Jennifer realises that Cain is part of the case that her father's law firm is representing changed everything and turn her world upside down. The readers will follow Jennifer to find out what happens.

Unspoken is the first book I have read of Ellie Danes, and I enjoyed reading this book. I love Ellie Danes portrayal of her characters and the way they intertwine with each other throughout this book. Ellie Danes did an excellent job in describing her setting that ensures that I engage with the book. Unspoken is well written and researched by Ellie Danes.

The readers of Unspoken will learn the role and the benefits for law firms to use profilers and private detectives during cases that they are representing in court. Also, the readers of Unspoken will understand the consequences of not telling the truth.

I recommend this book.

Jennifer has been burned before and stays away from the dating scene. Now she is getting a chance to prove herself to her father at work. She meets Cain by chance and begins falling for him before she really knows who he is. Cain and Jennifer end up working together but can she read him as well as other or his he hiding something from her? Fast-paced intriguing read with plenty of drama and steamy chemistry. I liked it.

Once again the characters are well developed and engaging and the storyline flowed smoothly with lots of chemistry and roller coaster ride of emotions. Ms. Danes has away of always delivering exciting couples we can sink our teeth into.
Always a pleasure to read her work.

Jennifer is trying to gain her father's respect. She accepts a job at his law firm and on the first day is late for a meeting with the clients. As she enters the elevator, she runs into the most handsome man she has ever seen. They don't exchange names and she begins to daydream about him. Jennifer is good at her job and immediately identifies that the second in command is not telling the truth. Later, she is at a lounge with her best friend and she begins to use her talents of reading body language to describe people at the bar. The man in the booth next to her joins in the conversation and she realizes that he is the same man, Cain, from the elevator. They are both intrigued with each other. They meet again when the CEO of the company that her father has asked her to work on. Neither one had any idea that they would be working together. As things begin to unfold, Jennifer and Cain develop an relationship. Can Jennifer convince her father that Cain is innocent? Will Cain and her father finally see who is the person causing all of the trouble? I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to everyone.

Jennifer starts working for her father wanting nothing more than to earn his respect for her chosen field of work. However on the first day she has a few mishaps one in the elevator with a sexy stranger that causes her to drop some files. Then she gets some bad vibes when it comes to her father's second in command. So after work she meets up with a friend for some down time and they analyze the people in the bar around them. Jennifer gets surprised when in the booth behind them is the sexy stranger from the elevator and he joins in on their conversation. Sparks fly between Jennifer and Cain but each fight their growing attraction. What neither expected was to be facing each other in a conference room for business. Turns out Cain's company is the new assignment that Jennifer's father gave her. Will Jennifer be able to do her job? Will Cain convince Jennifer to take a chance with him?

This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to book lover.

An excellent crime, murder, extortion, dangerous and suspenseful story. The romance between Jennifer and Cain was realistic, mature and it sizzled. It was HOT. It seemed the main storyline was about the problems at Cain's company. They were serious enough to have to hire an outside agency to get to the bottom of the problems. Cain hired Jennifer's father's company. A subplot was the villain of the corporate problems also had a fixation on Jennifer. He had a history of stalking and harassing whoever was the young woman at the time of his acquaintance. There is drama, action and intimidation. This book kept me turning page after page. The only loose end was Cain's assistant Ashley. Ashley was the sister of Cain's deceased girlfriend. But as Jennifer found out, Ashley was under the illusion that she and Cain belonged together. Also, Ashley was guilty of being in contact with the villain. It is never explained what happened to her. It seemed she just dropped out of the story. Other than that, this is a wonderful read and I do recommend it.

Seems as though I'm in the minority again.

The blurb of this book intrigued me and I was looking forward to diving in - especially as it was series, which I was in the mood for one.

Unfortunately, for me, while the story line seemed fairly interesting, the execution of story fell flat for me.

While the tension between Cain and Jennifer was there, I found the conversations between them (and occasionally others) a bit unbelievable. While I can understand having formal conversations in the work place, among friends make it feel really weird. I wasn't able to lose myself in the story as I kept thinking "People don't really talk like this all the time...do they??"

Some sections of the book felt rushed, whereas other places felt like it was trying to act as a filler. At the end of the day, the chemistry between Cain and Jennifer just wasn't enough for me to pick up the next book.

If you doubt your ability to trust guys can it be overcome? You have been taken advantage of in the past and all you want is to be a good daughter and get the respect you believe you deserve. When you meet a guy that turns you head and you can't stop thinking about him, can you let your guard down and start a new relationship? When you learn the guy is a client, should you continue especially if he is keeping secrets? This is a good first installment of this new romantic suspense series by Ellie Danes. Good primary character and secondary characters and a story line that keeps you guessing. Looking forward to seeing what happens.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Jennifer was exceptional at reading people and her father finally gave her a chance to prove herself at his company as a jury profiler. They had a estranged relationship but still tried to stay connected. Cain bumps into her and has her thinking of getting back in the dating scene.
This book has so much to satisfy your craving for a great book. It has suspense, a sexy millionaire, a strong fiery female, and plenty of steamy scenes. It was very hard to put down until it was finished. The other characters were just as intriguing as the main characters. I highly recommend this book!

This is a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat as secrets are revealed and all are not what they seem You are drawn on from the first page and the story doesn't let go until you turn that last page. If I could give more than five starts I would

Jennifer Dunning may not have a great track record with her the but they are trying to keep connected to one another and finally he is giving her a chance with a job He has employed her for her ability to read people When she has a chance meeting with Cain her radars go off but she is attracted to him even though with her record she doesn't trust many men What is the secret he is keeping and do they have a chance at a life together

Intriguing start to a suspenseful series

Unspoken by Ellie Danes is in interesting single POV suspense romance. Jennifer and Cain are very interesting and engaging characters that make the plot of this book a page turner. The author keeps the story moving and the relationship developing without skimping on details.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the first book in a new series by this author. It will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. Definitely a great romantic suspense.
After being taken advantage of in college, Jennifer has become skilled at reading people. When her dad needs her help on a big case she can't wait to prove herself to him.
Cain is the CEO of his company and his name is being dragged through the mud. He's on a mission to prove he's innocent.
This book does end in a cliffhanger. I can't wait to find out what will happen next.

Jennifer has agreed to take a job with her father's law firm as a jury selection and profiling specialist. While our celebrating with her best friend, she meets Cain, a handsome, mysterious man. She agrees to a dinner date and ends up at his place. She later discovers that he's the CEO of the company her father's representing in her first case. Talk about awkward...
Excitement, intrigue, drama and romance fill the pages of this wonderful book. I found it to be a wonderful read.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Another awesome read by this author. Jennifer hasn’t had the best luck with men and when she meets Cain she encouraged by a friend to take a chance on him. Little does she know he has secrets, Jenifer is known for reading people but there’s just something about him and she’s can’t put her finger on it. Taking a chance on Cain could be her downfall and when the walls start to come crashing down how will Jennifer fare in the outcome?

Ellie delivers again...LOVED it!
The craftsmanship of this prolific author is amazing. I love her edgy, suspenseful & sexy as sin style with the hero & heroine being hard working, resourceful & highly intelligent. Their sexual chemistry was enough to raise the temperature of my tablet. Can't wait for the next book, Unseen, which continues their story.
I received an ARC & this is my honest & voluntary review.

The story was good, but I couldn't get past all the spelling and grammatical errors.

I enjoyed this book; I would have enjoyed it even more if there were not so many spelling and grammatical errors in the writing. Ms. Danes needs to speak to the person(s) responsible for her editing and get them to do a better job. I liked the characters, but felt like part of the book was missing. I am not sure how to explain what I mean; it just felt choppy.

Jennifer has been burned in the past. This has made her very cautious with men. She meets this extraordinary man (Caine). Her friend Aimee encourages her to take a chance on him. Their connection escalates quickly. Then all hell breaks lose. The romance and suspense keep you enthralled. I can’t wait for book 2.

Unspoken

I enjoyed this story, Ellie Danes tells a good tale. I liked the characters and story kept me wanting to keep reading. My only disappointment is the poor editing, words were missing from sentences and some words that shouldn't be there and Cain's clothing changed on their first dinner date from a black suit to a grey one....oops!

This book had a good idea and characters had potential but was poorly written, highly rushed, no character development and predictable scenes. I wouldn’t recommend this book. I wish it had been better written or perhaps just further edited since there was a really good idea behind it all.
