Receiving a Dear Rand email while serving his country didn’t douse the fire in Rand Tenneson’s heart for his high school sweetheart. Fully committed, nothing quenched that love, not even news that Bryanna married someone else. Back home now, Rand enjoys a busy life, firefighting and clowning around with patients at the children’s hospital. But a chance run-in with his ex-girlfriend, now a widow, rekindles that spark. Rand knows that God put her back in his life for a reason, and he vows to be there for her.

Ten years ago, Bryanna Fenwick shattered two hearts, hers and Rand’s. But the Navy SEAL, deployed halfway across the world, couldn’t rescue her from the real fear she faced at home. She made a choice and lived the lie for a decade. When Rand discovers the truth, she fears she’s hurt the handsome firefighter all over again and destroyed her relationship with her daughter. Could God’s grace possibly cover such a ginormous lie? Did God bring them back together for a second chance at love or only to reveal the truth?

Craving a sweet firefighter romance to curl up with tonight? Check out the Merriville Firefighter Heroes…hunky firefighters, strong heroines, & sigh-worthy kisses! Fully Committed is book 2 in this faith-based series, but each book can be read as a stand-alone. Grab your favorite beverage and settle in for an amazing ride! Wasted Years

After almost 10 years away, Bryanna Fenwick returned to her old home town. But all too quickly she realizes that the last person she even expects to see there is also back as well as impossible to escape. He is now a Fireman who also volunteers as a clown when off duty to help cheer up the children at the same hospital where she works as a Physical Therapist. No way to avoid him. She must guard her daughter from him at least. But he quickly learns that she has a daughter from someone's open lips. Grr. Now what can she do to hide her? But all too soon even that hope is dead too. He encounters them at the ice cream store! It only takes a couple of questions before he learns the truth. Rand learns he has a daughter! He never saw that coming. But he knows exactly where and when. Just before he left for the military; that last night. He had already learned that Brianna was a widow, but this is harsh!! How could she possibly have done this to them by not telling him and just sending him a shallow letter with nothing that even made sense to him. And then he learns that he married one of their high school friends, no less. Kramer Fenwick had wanted to date her for a long time, but Bryanna and Rand were inseparable back then. Then he left her while he went to war in a dangerous place. Yes, he became a SEAL! But he lost the most important person in his world.

This is a story about second chances. People respond differently for many reasons. How would you respond? How will Rand respond to the horrible injustice of the years he missed with his daughter?

Regrets cause indecision, and could affect two people who really belong together!
Barrett “Bear” Stanford hasn’t been anymore than friends since losing two girlfriends. He’s a fireman, and volunteers at the children’s hospital, with his therapy dog, Jammer. Pediatrician Brinkley Collins is interested, but doesn’t push, yet she is so wishing he would notice her interest in him! She talked him into helping publish a cookbook, because she knows he loves to cook, and she has an accident, and he comes over to help her, and to finish the cookbook. Will more happen? You definitely will enjoy reading this book!

This is an overtly Christian story. There is a lot of praying and talk of blessings.

The characters are really well done. Most we've met in the previous book and this one takes place concurrently. It's best to read them in order.

Rand is full of faith and wants to act in a way to honor God. He knows he messes up and quickly prays for forgiveness and guidance.
Bryanna is amazed at his forgiveness and grace.
They agree to let Emory get to know Rand before telling her that he is her biological father. All goes well until...

Author Dora Hiers has once again given us a page-turner with Fully Committed (Merriville Firefighter Heroes Book 2). I always enjoy a story about the choices we make and reunions with past loves. This book has it all. The chemistry between Bryanna and Rand made my Kindle sizzle. The couple’s daughter Emory was adorable and it’s obvious the moment Rand meets her for the first time, she has his heart. I’m really looking forward to book 3 of this series.

There is the truth and then there is the rest of the story. Ten years of living a lie has taken a toll on Bryanna. That “lie” has also affected the lives of Rand Tenneson and his friends and comrades-in-arms and fellow firefighters. God has a plan but it will involve Bryanne, Rand, his friends and a lot of forgiveness and love. I really loved this story. I can empathize with the decision Bryanna made.

Fully Committed

Rand and Bryanna have a wonderful second chance story. They were childhood sweethearts. Rand left her to join the Navy SEALS after high school in order to save for their future. While he was gone she sent a breakup letter. They meet again years later at the hospital where she works and he volunteers. After learning why she broke up with him can he forgive her for leaving and for keeping the secret she has kept for so many years?

A lovely surprise. Rand Tenneson wasn’t the average contemporary hero. I enjoyed the fact that he accepted his wrongs and corrected his mistakes. Rand knew what he wanted and went after it. The way he shared his love and his convictions with Bryanna and her daughter was an unforgettable story of second chances and forever love. 4.8 stars

Reunited

Bryanna is Rand's first and only love. He runs into her one night, not sure if she is really there or if he is imagining her. She sent him an email ending things ten years ago, she has a secret that will change everything. Can he handle it? Will he forgive her? This book is so sweet.

I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderfully written book. The interactions between Bryanna and Rand was quite good given their history from 10 years ago. There was good tension with a nice build to a resolution. Highly recommend.

Powerful and strong

This author can really write a very powerful exciting adventurous story with just the right amount of twists and turns. This story in the series is a little different but that made it so great. You will love his book.

Jesus is Savior

Enjoy your books but very saddened that your prayer never included Jesus. You missed a great opportunity to have a reader invite Christ into her heart & life. This is a Christian romance?.. Jesus Bless you as you continue writing. Judy

Love is forever

This was one of the best story in its genre for me to read this year, filled with lots of love and misunderstandings but always heartwarming in the end. I highly recommended it.
