Jude “Hollywood” Lock loved the ladies, but commitment, not so much. Getting burned at love was been there, done that enough for him. But when his Hollywood looks gets him tasked by the brass to pose for an artist as part of the Warrior Angel charity project, he has no choice but to follow orders. Once he gets a load of the beautiful artist, it all comes around to him keeping his cool and resisting going down love’s forbidden lane.
Painter/photographer Willow Blackmoon lost her dad to the streets after he left the SEALs and she’s tickled pink to be depicting a member from each of the armed forces as an angel for charity for the homeless heroes. It’s easy to keep her composure around all the muscled hunks, even in or out of their uniforms, with one exception—Hollywood. He’s a man who hides a broken heart and a tender soul that resonates with hers. He might be sprouting angel wings and purity, but there was nothing divine about this bad boy, except his skills behind closed doors. His playboy ways were all too familiar to her once broken heart, and she prayed not even his heavenly advances could get up under her defenses.
But Hollywood’s past comes back to haunt him when Willow is abducted, and she has to rely on her lethal warrior for rescue. Can they mend their broken hearts together or will their fear destroy a love everlasting?
Zoe Dawson, the author of 40+ books had always dreamed of becoming a full-time romance writer. Her other passions include traveling the world, owning a beach house (she believes she was a mermaid in another life), and seeing her books in movies. When she’s not writing, she’s painting or killing virtual MMORPG monsters in World of Warcraft. She lives in North Carolina with her two grown children and one small, furry gray cat.
Zoe Dawson nailed it again with Hollywood the eighth book in her SEAL Team Alpha series rounded out Ruckus and the boy’s story-line really well, and gave the consummate charmer of the series a pretty perfect HEA too.
"You are very charming…"
"…Like a prince?"
Jude ‘Hollywood’ Lock, has been the easy-going ladies’ man throughout the series, and his insistence at being the ‘one-and-done’ man while every other man on the Team has met and fallen in love has been a long-running theme, so it was with great joy I read of his downfall in the love stakes to artist Willow Blackmoon.
"Incorrigible…"
"…You have no idea"
No stranger to the SEAL lifestyle herself in that her father was one, she’s all-sorts of reluctant to start anything up with him, even though their chemistry is off the charts, and his insistence is extremely endearing. Especially when he steps up and helps her with her father, a man who has lost his sense of purpose and value after retiring from the service.
The man was almost equal parts charmer and warrior…
The fact that Jude is breaking every rule he has set for himself with Willow, when it comes to women freaks him out a little at first, but when the threat that has been looming over him and the rest of the team since the beginning of the series, gets all up in his business and puts everything and everyone he holds dear in life threatening danger, he quickly realizes that Willow is the one, and they will never be done.
Maybe rules were made to be broken…
This book rounds out the original Teams story-line, but we get a decent introduction to ‘Dragon’ occasional substitute for Alpha Team Sniper; ‘Kid Chaos’. Dragon’s team is struggling to find cohesion and work as a unit again, after a job gone wrong leaves them mourning the loss of one of their brothers and dealing with their own demons and the fall-out from several of them transferring out. Their replacements looking more like enemies than brothers in arms, it’s going to take time and work to pull them all back together again into one strong unit. So the action, romance and suspense is far from over and I cannot wait for more!

Wow! I LOVE this series and sad to see this team’s story end but so glad it will continue on with a new team! Loved seeing Jude “Hollywood” Locke fall hard for feisty kick ass Willow. Talk about some steamy scenes🔥, the action was great and had me holding my breath! However, at a very critical point of the action the chapter ends and the next chapter begins with an introduction to Dragon’s team. The momentum was kind of lost but it certainly picks back up after, it was just an odd place to fit that into the book. Would 100% recommend to anyone who loves a good military romance!
I minused 2 stars for rapid scene changes with coney rap up of complicated issues. Example Shoot bad guy in head, catch the trigger of dirty bombs avert nuclear disaster and back to planning wedding all in one paragraph. Then the typos
Jude “Hollywood” Lock, Warrior Angel, and Superhero Is Coupled With Human Vulnerabilities and Emotions, Finds His HEA
Oh Ms. Dawson, you have once again penned a beautifully written military romantic suspense novel. This installment in the SEAL Team Alpha Series is a compelling, tumultuous, heartwarming, and at times humorous read that makes it difficult to put down. She defies the stereotypical themes that many authors in this genre write, creating memorable subject matter that has readers really thinking and questioning. Case in point “Blue’s” story. This story has several subplots meticulously woven into the framework of the novel compassionately addressing PTSD, veteran homelessness, SEAL Team brotherhood and Team fragmentation, and the impact on relationships and families where SEALS are involved. She addresses the very real psychological fallout and aftermaths of the hair raising missions the SEALS endure.
“Hollywood”is an amazingly complex character. The missions incorporated in this story highlight so well the skills, bravery, selflessness and camaraderie that define him and these unique individuals taking on dangerous, behind the scenes missions on a regular basis. His superhuman qualities are in conflict with the human side of him, off the battlefield. Ms. Dawson does a stellar job enlightening readers about the very real issues of PTSD, pursuance of a loving, supportive relationship and search for normalcy in a highly demanding profession, through Hollywood’s story.
Willow’s Dad’s story is so heart wrenching and at the same time heart warming. His career, respect and admiration from the Team, and successes, coupled with his mental breakdown leading him down the path to self destruction are depicted with compassion and understanding. His daughter’s undying love and the Team’s brotherhood become his salvation.
I truly loved Willow. Her talent as a photographer, relationship with Hollywood, resilience, and support and caring for her father had me cheering for her. She was SO deserving of her HEA.
I have to add that Ms. Dawson lightened up and balanced the story with her oh so funny scene involving Hollywood and Willow in the bedroom and the unwelcome appearance of Willow’s dad. I laughed so hard!!!!! The encounters between Will and Hollywood throughout the story always brought out a chuckle or two. The teams playful bantering is always a favorite read of mine also.
With great writing talent Ms. Dawson introduced Dragon, his fragmented team and the little teaser of a relationship he still pines over. She definitely was successful in getting readers to want more! Can’t wait for his story to become available.
Thank you for an amazing literary journey, Ms. Dawson. You are one of the best!!!!
The courageous men of SEAL Team Alpha plus the women who come to love them are a very likable group of individuals, and none have been more appealing than Hollywood and Willow. There is just something about the SEAL whose looks and charming personality are what a person would first notice, yet his handsomeness hides a fiercely protective nature and self-sacrificing deeds. Willow is also a wonderful person, who is spunky and can stand up for herself in any situation. When Zoe Dawson concocted the idea for this military team, she definitely created original storylines and an extraordinary cast of characters.
Although Jude “Hollywood” Lock is a major player when it comes to women, he is always straightforward with them. Serving his country as a SEAL is his major focus, and when asked to participate in a photo shoot for a calendar that will benefit homeless veterans, he eagerly accepts this assignment. Upon meeting the photographer, he is fascinated by Willow Blackmoon yet feels certain there will never be anything between them expect professional dealings. But Willow’s spirited nature is hard to resist, and when trouble comes her way because of him, nothing will stop Hollywood from making certain she is not harmed.
HOLLYWOOD grabbed my whole attention with scenes ranging from heart-stopping danger to moments overflowing with candid emotions. There was never a time when I was not captivated by what was happening, and there was a constant eagerness to know what would occur next. Realism related to the military is depicted in numerous ways in this story, from the outcome of what takes place during a mission to the long-lasting consequences these undertakings cause to a soldier. I was deeply affected on more than one occasion by a situation that was depicted with profoundly moving details.
I have always been very intrigued by Hollywood, as his cheerful behavior concealed a side that was always ready for battle. In his own story, I learned much more about him, and some of the revelations were hilarious while others were more serious. His conversations with Willow are often amusing, as both are quick-witted, yet there were also instances where honest feelings are spoken. When the book was finished, I had experienced a multitude of emotions and been thoroughly entertained.
Hollywood (Seal Team Alpha Book 8) is the first book I've read by Zoe Dawson and I loved it. The story was rich with details of Hollywood's life as a Navy Seal from his classified deployments to his awesome team members. I will admit, despite this interesting view, the story seemed a little slow to start. He didn't meet Willow until the book was at 17%. Because of this, I started this book twice before getting drawn in. Once I was in, I finished the story in one night.
When Hollywood and Willow meet, the story heats up and shifts to a romance. Hollywood has a rule that he never spends more than one night with a girl. He has his reasons and normally I'm not into womanizing men, be he didn't come off that way at all. He was so sweet and so sexy. Willow is the daughter of a Seal and has spent her life agonizing over her dad going away for deployments. She knows better than anyone why she shouldn't fall for Hollywood.
I loved the humor and banter between these too. I also loved the fact they didn't suffer needless drama because they didn't have the nerve to speak to each other. Willow is such a strong woman - smart and independent. She knows what she wants and she's not afraid to go after it. I very much enjoyed living through her eyes as I read this story.
I really loved this book. The author did a great job depicting some of the realities of armed service (loss of friends and not everyone able to cope afterward, with the community support) and I really respect her for that. The support of the team not just for one another but for the other SEALs (a mentor and a mentee) endeared them to me and really built the tight-knit community into something I couldn't help but respect.
Willow and Hollywood are so adorable as a couple, especially since neither thinks they want a relationship, especially with each other. Having her father involved in the story made for more interesting relationship snarls than just another damsel in distress plot. Her creativity made for a nice contrast to his physicality and machismo. Loved this!
What goes around really came around to make an epic story—a fitting end for the eight books of the first SEAL team's members. (I've already bought the next book, but I'm not sure if it'll feel like we've lost the continuity with the existing series' characters or not, regardless of whether or not we know enough about Dragon, the titular character.)
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "HOLLYWOOD" What an amazing well written story by Zoe Dawson it was full of intense drama, suspense, intrigue, danger, lots of action, passion, angst, twists that keep you on the edge of your seat. Willow Blackmoon is an artist and dealing with her dad a retired Seal being lost after what happened to his team and the loss of his wife so he took to the streets like a homeless person and it was taking its toll on her. Jude Hollywood Loch was asked to be a model for a calendar to make money for lost and forgotten homeless Veterans and this is when he meets Willow Blackmoon and the attraction is immediate. Things take a turn when Willow is kidnapped by men that Hollywood and his Seal brothers have been after the team as well as her father ex-Navy Seal goes after them to save her. This is a must have book you need in your collection so well worth the read with a string of awesome, captivating, entertaining, humorous characters that bring this amazing read to life.
Hollywood by Zoe Dawson SEAL Team Alpha Series Book Eight Jude “Hollywood” Lock has the looks. Women fall over themselves for him. He also has rules. One-night stands only. He was burned once...and learned his lesson. When he runs into the feisty blonde, it changes the game. She needs his help and SEALS are protectors.
Willow Blackmoon is doing all she can for her father. But, he doesn't want her help. He's a Navy SEAL who hasn't been the same since he retired six months ago. He's all Willow has though. And then she gets unexpected help.
Really great story. Not only are the SEALs chasing down the men from previous books, but Willow is facing several of her own challenges. And it's unique with her father being a retired SEAL. **Sexual content and language https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...

Jude Lockwood. Hollywood. Ladies Man. Promised he would never fall in love.
You know what they say about plans? Enter Willow, daughter of his former Navy SEAL trainer. She's working on a calendar project where all proceeds are donated to shelters that help the homeless. It's her way to give back, knowing the toll that it takes on the families. Hollywood is the representative chosen by the Command and so their story begins.
Or was it the night that she almost fought off three men in a bar parking lot that had our boy swooning? Either way, Hollywood is in trouble and he knows it. His past comes back to haunt in a big way, putting his sister and Willow in danger. Facing his enemies and defeating them will be the only way to save her. But is he too late?
The author gives us another engaging story in this series titled SEAL Team Alpha. This time the story belongs to Jude/Hollywood Lock and WIllow Blackmoon. Hollywood is known for his good looks and love of ladies. But he’s also a man whose past was not always easy. WIllow is an artist whose father, a former SEAL , ended up in the streets. Her latest project is for charity to help those homeless veterans and Hollywood becomes one of her models. The chemistry is immediate and when Willow is abducted, Hollywood is willing to do anything for her. Another good addition to this series. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I loved Hollywood’s story. It is a story of falling fast and falling hard. Willow and Hollywood are meant to be but neither wants to admit it. But when Willow sees how Hollywood cares for her dad, a Navy Seal Veteran who has lost his way, she can’t deny what she feels. Through a series of twists and turns, Hollywood and Willow will realize what is important in life.....love!❤️. My favorite book in this series!
Fallen... hard! In one word: exhilarating. Wow, I knew Jude would be a smashing character but the final result is way better than I expected. I sooooo love it! The plot is crazy-fast paced I caught myself forgetting to breathe at some scenes. The chemistry between Jude and Willow is contagious, fiercely hot and the build up to their scenes together is electrifying. Definitely holds a place at the top of my list of best in this series, which I cannot recommend strongly enough.
I can't get enough of this series, but it looks like we will be getting a new team to follow soon. I loved Hollywood and can't get over how fast he fell for Willow. But I have to admit Willow is a badass woman who was his perfect match. And her Dad Will, what a great story there was to tell and calendar that brought everything together. This is just another proof of Zoe's talent. I do admit I love this Seal series a lot and will look forward to reading more of them.
This book was just ok. I'm all for some steam but the steam went on for pages and pages then the action was over in a flash. Hollywood solved problems so fast I didn't feel invested in any of it. Not much of it was believable. The homeless alcoholic father was cured with one meeting with Hollywood.......Really!!??!?! Everything just kept getting wrapped up with a red ribbon to perfection so fast you didn't have time to feel suspense or any other emotion.
Hollywood has always been my favorite. He see s caring and likable by all. He is the glue of the brotherhood. He loves his sister dearly. But, he has had his heart crushed and become a 1 night stand that does not allow his heart to enter in. This all ends when he meets Willow to do a calendar shoot. Not only do they fall in love and Willow puts Hollywood’s heart back together, the Brotherhood saves her Seal dad.
Man oh man loved this story Hollywood was such a sweet surprise, alpha for sure but what a sweetheart and sense of humor that was to die for. Gotta love Lefty and the Boys...... Don’t miss this one Willow a perfect match for Hollywood; tough but can keep up with his perverted humor. I loved their banter.
Hollywood's story was my favorite! He is a hunk and knows it. Women of all ages fell under his spell. He knew as soon as he met Willow that she was the one. He didn't fight it to hard. She will certainly keep Jude on his toes. Her dad, Will, was great also. A wonderful military romance.
So I enjoyed these books, lots of action and exciting moments! I loved the guys, they were awesome and funny, it would have been nice to have a bit more of all the girls from all the books, some more interaction between all the characters. Not a huge fan of the instant love, which was in pretty much all of them, just feel it was unrealistic. But otherwise good books and worth a read!
All of Zoe Dawson books are 5 stars 🌟. Full of fun action, romance and the best of all it pulls you with the story as it you a part of it. No need to write any spoilers just read the series it will not disappoint you.
The characters were great. The story line was well done. Well written. I do recommend it. As soon as the next book is up for pre-order I will be placing my order.
Navy SEALS and the women they love. This is a trope I never get tired of!! I loved Hollywood and Willow. I happened to read the last book in this series first, but I'll definitely go back and read the others. Great book!!
Hollywood met Willow when 3 men decided to give her a problem. He took care of a couple of them and she took care of the other. When he was ordered to pose for a calendar he was surprised to discover that Willow was who was doing it.
That's what it is, the greatest story of love, relationship, and moving towards the best story done. Extremely motivated to get you to feel for your other half. Be there for each other in every possible way.
