A Cottage Wedding is the second book in Leigh Duncan's Heart's Landing series. I absolutely loved the first book, A Simple Wedding, and was really excited to read this one. The story follows Jason Heart, the handsome descendant of the town's founder, and current owner of the Captain's Cottage, and Tara Stewart, a junior writer at Weddings Today magazine who has been sent to Heart's Landing by her boss to find dirt on the Heart family and debunk its romantic legends. This could devastate many local businesses and ruined the town's reputation, but Tara really needs this promotion and is willing to do whatever her boss says to get it. It is love at first sight for Tara and Jason, but will he be able to forgive her when he learns that she came to his beloved town with the intention of ruining its reputation?

This is a heartwarming and entertaining romance, with wonderful characters, a delightful setting, and a sense of community. Leigh Duncan is very talented in her descriptive writing. The rich details made it easy to picture the idyllic seaside town of Heart's Landing, with its captivating history, quaint shops, and friendly residents. Tara and Jason were easy to like and relate to. Jason was my favorite character. I loved that he wasn't afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve. Tara was strong and genuine. My favorite thing about her was that she was never afraid to admit she was wrong about something. They were a lovely couple, and the epilogue was very sweet and touching. I enjoyed this book immensely and look forward to reading more books by this author.

I am so glad to have gotten to go back to Heart's Landing. Jason and Tara's story was just the icing on the cake. You are going to have to read A Cottage Wedding to find out if Tara discovers her own love for the ages.
I never put this book down, I did not cook or clean the evening I started this book, I will tell you this, I can not wait for book three in this series.
Duncan is the Hallmark queen of romance and small town weddings with all the prefect touches. Such great details of this small wedding town.
I gave this book 5 stars and I HIGHLY recommend it.

A Cottage Wedding by Leigh Duncan

2nd book in the Heart’s Landing series. Can be read as a stand-alone romance. A Hallmark movie in a print version.
Jason manages the Hearts Landing premier wedding destination. As a descendant of town founders, Jason is proud of his staff and neighbors that all contribute together to make the weddings exactly what the clients want.
Tara is ambitious. When she’s told to find something negative about Hearts Landing by her boss, Tara is willing to do the research but worries about her continued employment at the magazine. Hearts Landing pulls out all their best when Tara visits and does her research.

This story is sweet, enchanting and romantic with a touch of the dramatic.

I enjoyed the first book in the Heart's Landing series, so wanted to listen to this one when I saw it available. Heart's Landing is a great wedding destination and want to maintain their #1 standing in Weddings Today Magazine. When they hear that the editor and head honcho of the magazine will be visiting them as a finalist in the contest, they are ready to impress. Instead of the boss, Tara Stewart, a junior writer is sent with one task, to debunk the romantic legend surrounding Heart's Landing. Can Jason Heart, the handsome descendant of the town's founder, and current owner of the Captain's Cottage, convince her that the legend is true?

I liked both Tara and Jason. They both had a lot to lose. Tara needed the promotion that her boss promised her if she could find some dirt, but she has a hard time seeing beyond the legend. Jason not only needs to save his business, but that of all the local businesses that could be destroyed if the town's reputation is ruined. I enjoyed seeing both of them fight against the attraction and love at first sight they experienced. This is a heartwarming and entertaining romance. The characters in town are delightful and I love the sense of community and how they band together. Each book highlights a different character, but all the others are still there playing a supporting role. Heart's Landing is so well described, I can actually picture the quaint businesses and shops, along with the seaside setting. Leigh Duncan has a nice easy writing style with great and natural dialogue. There was some conflict in the story, but it is a romance, so of course they do get their happily ever after. I look forward to the next book in this series to see which character will get their HEA next. The audiobook was narrated by Karissa Vacker. I always enjoy her narration with her pleasant voice, great expression and tone. She does an okay job with the male voices using tone and inflection differentiate the characters. I recommend this book and series either to read or listen to, it is very uplifting.

What another Great book written by Leigh Duncan. I absolutely loved this.book just as much as the first one. I enjoyed the story of Jason and Tara.

Jason grew up in Hearts Landing and knew everyone that lived there. Hearts landing is known for being a Wedding destination for brides on their speacial day. Jason a manager of a premier destination Wedding spot in Heart Landing.

Tara a young women trying to make a name for herself. She approaches her boss about a possible lead on a story (for the Wedding magazine that she works for) but her boss instead decided that she is going to her to Heartlanding to find some information to debunk the story's about Captain Thaddeus.

From the moment that Jasen and Tara meet you could tell their was chemistry. They were so relaxed with each other and everyone could see where it was going from the very beginning.

I liked the story of Tara and Jasen. Tara learned that getting ahead in this world wasn't everything and that sometime what your looking for is in the least likely place to look. I felt like their love story was so natural and rooting for it to survive once the real reason she was their was revealed. I enjoyed the ending to this story and I cant wait for.Waterfront Wedding and find out what awaits Evelyn and Ryan.

I love Hallmark movies. I love the sense of community, the realistic and likable main characters, the often quirky secondary characters, and, although there is typically some mild conflict, the guarantee of sweet romance with a happy ending. All of that is exactly what Leigh Duncan delivers in the charming second book of her Heart's Landing series, A Cottage Wedding.

Duncan brings the small wedding-destination town of Heart's Landing to vivid life through her writing, in such detail that by the time I finished reading this book I could easily be convinced the town actually exists. I was charmed by the Captain's Cottage, the horse-drawn carriage, the town shops, and by the legend of a love for the ages that we all want for ourselves. Not to mention food. There is so much delicious food in this book. It should come with a drool warning. ;-) Also, if you love cake (I love cake), you might want to keep a napkin handy while reading Chapter Six. Just saying. 😉

Jason is such a good guy. I loved his dedication to his family and to their history. I liked Tara too and understood her desperation to keep her job though it was hard to see her continue her deception after she and Jason got together, though, of course, I ultimately forgave her for her shortcomings. And Jason for his as well. They're good people, a great match, and I was cheering for them to find their way to one another. One of the things I appreciate about both books in this series is that Duncan gives her characters time to work through their relationship issues. It's a little more realistic than a meet, fall in love, and marry within two weeks kind of story.

Reading A Cottage Wedding was like watching a movie in my mind, in a setting I'm eager to revisit. Duncan spins a charming, heartwarming tale that's as clearly portrayed on the pages of this book as it would be on screen. I don't know how many books she has planned for the series but I am more than ready for however many she has in the queue.

A Cottage Wedding is the perfect summer romance read. Two likable characters who are perfect for each other, though they have real issues to deal with that are keeping them apart. But you're confident they'll figure a way to make it work.

Tara Stewart is a lowly editorial assistant at a wedding magazine, yearning to prove herself a serious journalist. She gets her chance when her boss gives her an assignment: do an expose' on Hearts Landing, the idyllic town that's been the nation's leading wedding destination for the last several years.

Unfortunately, Hearts Landing is just as perfect as it seems. More so, since Jason Heart is overseeing everything. Jason is the great-great-great-grandson of the town's founder and the basis of many legends contributing to Hearts Landing's reputation as a romantic destination.

As Tara and Jason grow closer, Tara has to make a choice: get that promotion and ruin Jason's heritage and livelihood, or surrender her journalistic ethics and get fired.

Even though I saw the dilemma coming from the beginning, I thought the author handled it well and resolved it sensibly.

This is an excellent book with lots of fun wedding details and other characters worked into the story. Hearts Landing is as much a character as Tara and Jason.

Definitely recommended.

A Cottage Wedding by Leigh Duncan is the second in what is becoming an outstanding series called Heart’s Landing.

In Heart’s Landing, everything points to love, romance, and successful partnerships, however Tara Stewart is being sent by her boss at the magazine she works for to see if the whole atmosphere is what it is all cracked up to be.

Luckily the awesome Jason Heart, the owner of Captain’s Cottage, is able to change her outlook on life, and maybe even change her future?....

Reading this relaxing romance, one knows the formula and how things will end, but isn’t that the glorious part? I love this series (I enjoyed the first book as well), and the respite that it gives me from reality. I look forward to further books in this series.

Thank you NetGalley and Hallmark Publishing for this ARC and in return I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review and opinion.

I am posting this review to my GR and Bookbub accounts immediately and will post it to my Amazon and B&N accounts upon publication.

Jason and Tara had a lovely story. Tara was faced with quite the dilemma when she received her first real chance from her love-scorned boss. I was a little bothered that she went into the assignment knowing her boss wanted her to ruin the town’s reputation. However, she stayed true to self and went out to do so with integrity at the least. It all worked out, of course. So much to enjoy in this book - a sweet little town, adorable main characters, that tension that builds up because they *can’t* be together, and a cute story of true love that started everything many years ago!

A Cottage Wedding by Leigh D. Duncan

A sweet, clean, well-written addition to the Heart’s Landing series! I was excited to learn more about Thadeus and Mary Heart and their love that influenced an entire town and their history. The town really is like a family.

I like how Jason isn't afraid to show he is a romantic, and only wish Tara had come clean a little sooner.

Each book works as a stand-alone with no cliffhangers.

The second book from Heart’s Landing doesn’t disappoint. Tara has one mission for her boss. Debunk all the legends that Heart’s Landing is built around. When she shows up a day early Jason steps up to the plate to show her around. With secrets and the town’s number one destination wedding ranking hanging between them, the last thing they need is to let their attraction grow.

A Cottage Wedding by Leigh Duncan is everything you would want in a love a first sight story. I received an ARC of A Cottage Wedding for an honest review and I can genuinely say that it was an amazing story. Leigh Duncan has once again written an incredible story with wonderful characters and a beautiful setting. I enjoy all the love cliches that she intersperses throughout the story. I love how the different parts of the chapters are written from the perspective of the main characters, I love seeing things from both of their viewpoints. A Cottage Wedding is the second book in the Heart's Landing series and I enjoyed it just as much as I did The Simple Wedding. I love how she takes women who are dreamers and intermediaries, and changes them into stronger women than they were before. I love the metamorphosis in both Jenny, for The Simple Wedding and Tara in A Cottage Wedding. I love all the descriptions of all the places in Heart's Landing. A Cottage Wedding is the story of Jason Heart, heir of Thaddeus Heart founder of Heart's Landing, and current owner of the Captain's Cottage and Tara Stewart, journalist and junior writer for Weddings Today, the magazine that has ranked Heart's Landing was the number one destination for weddings. Tara's boss, Regina Charm was originally supposed to conduct the interviews and survey for Heart's Landing, but with her own Heart's Landing wedding cancelled she tells Tara that she is not sure she can be objective, since she secretly blames the people of Heart's Landing as the reason behind being jilted. Tara also has another mission, disprove the legend of the love story between Thaddeus and his wife, Mary and she will get the promotion that she has always dreamed about or get fired. It is love at first sight for both Jason and Tara, even though neither one gives into their feelings or reveals their true feelings to the other. Neither one want to jeopardize the rankings of Weddings Today. The livelihoods of everyone in Heart's Landing relies on retaining their number one ranking in Weddings Todays, and Jason feels that pressure. I love all the shop owners in Heart's Landing.
Of course, Tara finds something that she originally believes exposes the truth behind the folklore. Jason sees the draft and expects the worse and immediately puts distance between himself and Tara. I love how Leigh developed the romance and relationship between Jason and Tara. A Cottage Wedding is filled with the bittersweet and poignant moments that I have come to love and expect in Leigh Duncan stories. I loved the plot twist and how everything gets resolved. I loved the happily ever after and how Jason did everything he could to make his wedding to Tara everything she dreamed it would be. It was an incredible story that I could not put down. Leigh Duncan once again proves that she is an amazing storyteller. I love that every story includes a recipe. So looking forward to the next story in the series.

Tara Stewart had just been handed the toughest assignment of her career so far at Weddings Today magazine. Her boss, Executive Editor, Regina Charm had issues with Heart's Landing the magazine's current Top Wedding Destination. Heart's Landing had been named America's Top Wedding Destination multiple times. It is now time to evaluate the top ten destinations once again. Tara's assignment was to go to Heart's Landing, not to honestly evaluate it, but to search for dirt to sabotage it. This didn't sit well with Tara but her job, let alone a promotion, depended on it. Regina Charm's engagement ended shortly after flooding occurred at her and her fiance's wedding venue in Heart's Landing, Captain's Cottage. Regina bitterly chose to blame the town and not her fiance for her heartbreak. No, Tara did not like this assignment one bit. Upon her arrival she was treated like a princess by the townsfolk and she fell in love with the town. She also fell in love with the man who the townsfolk chose to show her around, Jason Heart, descendant of the town's founding couple. Jason also runs one of the town's premier wedding venues, Captain's Cottage. Considering her assignment one would not expect smooth sailing ahead though.

Jason Heart left a lucrative career in Boston and returned to Heart's Landing when his father became ill. Upon his dad's death Jason stayed to run Captain's Cottage with his cousin Evelyn's help. He loved his job and he loved Heart's Landing. What he didn't love was his girlfriend Clarissa who lived in Boston breaking up with him on the eve of of the arrival of Weddings Today's representative who was staying ten days in town to evaluate Heart's Landing for placement in the top ten wedding destinations and hopefully retaining the Number One designation. The town needed first place again. He is determined to do his best to help. He, along with everyone else in town, was surprised when Tara Stewart showed up instead of Weddings Today Executive Editor Regina Charm. Fresh from his recent breakup with Clarissa and with the town's first place on the line, he was not looking for another relationship. But there was something about Tara. They just clicked. Could he handle falling for Tara with everything else going on?

A Cottage Wedding by Leigh Duncan, the second book in her Heart's Landing series, is a delightful story. I really liked the whole atmosphere of the town. The names of the shops fit so well for a wedding destination. How cute is Forget Me Knot Florist and Dress for a Day? The characters are fun and I really liked how they supported each other. Tara and Jason are a special couple. They seem made for each other. I look forward to more stories in this series.

Readers are treated to a return visit to the charming little destination wedding resort town called "Heart's Landing" in "A Cottage Wedding", Book Two in author Leigh Duncan's delightful contemporary romance series.Tara Stewart is almost within reach of her goal of being promoted at her dream job working for "Weddings Today", a premier bridal magazine. Her boss, Regina Charm has high standards and high expectations. When Regina tasks Tara with writing an expose of Hearts Landing which will keep them from winning the annual "America's Top Wedding Destination Competition", Tara, with visions of a promotion-fueled future, accepts the assignment. Regina's own wedding had been a planned event at the resort, but when she and her fiance parted ways, she blamed the management of the resort. Feeling the weight of Regina's need for retribution, Tara finds herself in a quandary when can find no fault with the destination wedding events or the town and its business folk. Most appealing of all is Jason Heart, descendant of the town's legendary sea captain founder and the current operations manager of the "Captain's Cottage"--the resort hotel. Winning the annual competition is essential for the continued success of Heart's Landing business community, and all of the people who work so hard to make each aspect of a Heart's Landing wedding so very special and unique depend on the good publicity from being ranked number one. Not knowing the true nature of Tara's visit, Jason becomes her tour guide, and the two of them get to know each other and greatly enjoy each other's company. Both of them have been hurt in previous relationships, but as the awareness and attraction grows between them, the layers of hurt began to peel away. However, through it all, Tara cannot forget the real reason that she was sent to Heart's Landing, and she is torn between her long-held dream of a career in journalism and her feelings of love for Jason and the community and its residents. She can't have both--can she? When Jason learns the truth of her assignment and how the time they spent together was originally the means to an end, will he forgive her? Author Leigh Duncan's wonderful storytelling is enhanced with descriptive details that give readers the feeling that they are actually tasting the delicious food, smelling the fragrant flowers, enjoying the sunshine and salt-spray breezes, and being treated to an ultimate comfort experience of personal pampering. The picturesque, quaint little Rhode Island town with its touching love-story history makes the perfect setting for a swoon-worthy contemporary romance.

This book was not nearly as good as the first book of the series and I think it's because I disagreed with the premise of the book. Tara is hired to go to Heart's Landing to debunk the romantic myths of Captain Thaddeus Heart and crumble the foundation of Heart's Landings' claim to fame. If these myths can be disproven the town won't be able to keep its standing as #1 Wedding Destination. If Tara succeeds, she will get promoted at Weddings Today magazine. If she fails, she risks losing her job and will have to return to her family in Savannah with her tail between her legs. It just seems wrong that someone would agree to a plan that could crush the people in a town just so you can get a better job. Why would someone want to keep working for a boss that would put you up to such a task? A character with a stronger backbone would not have agreed. Maybe I loved Heart's Landing so much from book #1 in the series, that it's my emotional connections to this town that made me so opposed to anyone coming in and wanting to destroy it. No one better miss with my romanticized fictional town that I wished really existed, so I can go there in my dreams and get married again!

Thankfully, it is VERY difficult for Tara to find anything wrong with Heart's Landing, especially when she has the handsome ancestor of Captain Thaddeus Heart leading her around town showcasing all of its wonderful features. Tara finds it harder and harder to complete her assignment as her feelings grow for her tour guide and the town. How hard should someone push for success when love is at stake?

This book was fun and entertaining. I will definitely be looking for other books in the series when they become available. I even have my brainstormed list of Heart's Land characters who I hope will find their "love for the ages" in subsequent books in the series. Keeping my fingers crossed! Thanks to Hallmark Publishing and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. All thoughts expressed in this review are my honest opinions of the book.

Back in January you may remember that I reviewed book 1 in this series, (click here to see that review) and this is the second book in the Hallmark Heart's Landing series. As with book 1 the story is basically what you would expect from a Hallmark Movie, in this case a follow-up. This could definitely be read (or watched if it makes it to the small screen) as a stand-alone, although if you have read the first book it feels like returning to a known holiday resort.

As with book 1 my recommendation remains that if you like romance novels (or Hallmark movies), then you should check this out. Where as the first book focuses on the bakery and the catering side of cakes with weddings, this is all about the town, and in particular the history. I have no idea if this is based on an actual place, but this would definitely be a destination I could imagine many brides lining up to add to their preferred places to host their nuptuals.

This gets a solid 5 stars from me. The writing really is excellent, and I felt transported into the story, and I actually prefer this one to book 1, but I don't think the book is necessarily better, I just think that I enjoyed the journalistic and history story, as opposed to the bakery. Either way they would both be great on screen!

A Cottage Wedding releases on June 2nd but it is available for pre-order pretty much anywhere that sells books. I have included the Amazon link, and that is my preferred purchasing option, plus a link to purchase book 1 which is on sale for just $0.99 right now!

I was so excited for the second novel in the Hearts Landing Series by Leigh Duncan! A Cottage Wedding did not disappoint!

For this novel, there were two love stories going. There was the one between the main characters Jason and Tara. The second is the love story of the two original owners of The Captain’s Cottage and the romantic legend that the whole town revolves around.

Tara works for a bridal magazine and is sent to derail Hearts Landing as the number one wedding destination. A title that Hearts Landing has held for years. Jason is the current owner of The Captain’s Cottage and the descendent of the captain and his wife. Jason becomes Tara’s tour guide for the time she is there. Tara quickly realizes the people who live in this small town truly enjoy creating the perfect weddings for each and every bride. She gets hands on experience helping brides and participating as entertainment at weddings. Of course, there is a beautifully written romance between the two.

This story contained Duncan’s gorgeous, descriptive writing when it comes to emotions and actions. It also delved deeper into the history of the actual town of Hearts Landing.

I found this story to be a little slower starting than the first novel in the series, but equally enjoyable. While this story is part of a series, it is completely readable as a standalone. If you love romance, weddings, small coastal towns, history, and tales of the seas, this story is perfect for you.

I received an electronic advanced reader copy from Hallmark Publishing through NetGalley. All opinions are 100% my own.

I enjoyed this book. This follows A Simple Wedding and takes place in the same setting, with the same people, but it can be read independently.
Jason Heart is the owner of the Captain’s Cottage in the town of Heart’s Landing. His dad has recently died and Jason had to take over the job many years before he expected to. Heart’s Landing has been named America’s Top Wedding Destination for several years in a row, and it is time for the competition to happen again. The entire town is involved in weddings, from cakes to food to dresses and flowers and music.
Weddings Today Executive Editor Regina Charm has told the town that she is handling the evaluation herself this year. A year ago, Regina had planned her wedding in Heart’s Landing. Unfortunately, she and her fiancé called the wedding off at the last minute so there is some concern that she will not fairly evaluate the town.
Tara Stewart works for Regina at Weddings Today. She is given the task of doing the evaluation and it is made clear to her that if Heart’s Landing loses its #1 ranking she will have a job. If it keeps the ranking she will be unemployed.
Although it is pretty clear that the HEA can only happen if the town keeps its ranking, there is plenty of challenge to be overcome. Tara winds up with her own love story. It was fun.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Yes, yes, YES!! Now this is more like it! Much better than the first Hearts Landing book. Also, more enjoyable.

Tara is given an impossible mission by her boss at Weddings Today: find dirt on Heart's Landing in order to take away their number one ranking for top wedding destination. Her job on the line and wanting to prove herself, she takes on the assignment. But things get interesting when she meets Jason Heart, a descendant of the town founder, the legendary Captain Thaddeus Heart.

I loved the first book, A Simple Wedding, for the most part and was thrilled to return to Heart's Landing for this story. Some history about the legend of Thaddeus Heart, the return of beloved characters along with an introduction to a new one make this a fun, memorable and romantic story. Love for the ages is not a understatement here! I have no complaints and the writing is a vast improvement along with the plot. I also found it more engaging of a read.

Big highlight: the ending. You will LOVE it! It is beautiful and awesome. Ms. Duncan, you have a winner in this book. Very well done and applause to you!

I received this book for free from Hallmark Publishing and BookFunnel in exchange for an honest review.

This was a beautiful, charming, romantic story taking place in the picturesque town of Heart's Landing, Rhode Island. The Captain's Cottage is a mansion overlooking the Atlantic ocean complete with a widow's walk. It is know for all of the weddings it holds along with the town's help. The beautiful mansion has been passed down through the Heart family and it is now run by Jason Heart. All or the characters were so much fun from Jason and his cousin Evelyn, to the mean Regina Charm, and to Tara who works for Regina.
I liked how captivated Jason and Tara were with each other from the first time they met, as if it was love at first sight for both of them, even though Tara is there to knock Jason's livelihood out of first place in her company's magazine, Weddings Today. If she does not find something wrong for her article her boss, Ms. Regina Charm has let Tara know she will no longer be working for the magazine.
It was fun trying to figure out how the story would end and I was not disappointed at all and I was even surprised which is nice. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

In this delightful continuation of the Heart's Landing series, the town is on edge and in full preparation for evaluation for top wedding destination of the country by the Weddings Today magazine. Competition is fierce to retain top honor status due to the magazine editor's cancelled wedding which she blames on the town. Her surprise twist is to send junior reporter, Tara Stewart, a day early and with an undercover assignment to undermine the entire town. Captain's Cottage owner, Jason Heart, acts as tour guide and historian while attempting to determine the truth of the investigation and protect the town.

The second edition from Leigh Duncan showcases the town, its history, people and businesses while navigating an emotional roller coaster to a satisfying conclusion. Readers enjoy a vicarious visit to the town and its past with rich details and relationships provided.

I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.

Tara Stewart has one chance to get the promotion she has been working for but she's shocked at her boss's expectations for the assignment. When she shows up in Hearts Landing to research her article she will do so with a secret that could not only destroy the entire town, but inevitably, her shot at her own happy ever after.

Jason Heart's family history set him up to be at the forefront of helping his town to become the number one wedding destination location in the country. But one adorably sweet woman holds the towns future in her hands; a woman Jason is quickly falling for. So how will Jason react when he finds out the secret Tara has kept from him and the entire town?

Sweet book, I just wish this author would allow a tiny bit more (even light) physical expression of love in her stories. It seems she limits them to 2-3 kisses per book and when a story ends in marriage you expect a little more from a couple in love.

I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review.

We are back at Heart’s Landing with another sweet, touching , and heartwarming story. All things Hallmark and if you are a “junkie” of their tv channels, like me, you’ll be a very happy person.
This time the story centers around Tara Stewart and Jason Heart.
Tara has been sent by her magazine editor, Regina, to dig around town and tell the world that Heart’s Landing is not what it claims to be. More for personal reasons than anything else.
Jason, a believer of everything romance and descendent of the founding family, is assigned to convince and show Tara that the town is really what it claims to be.
In addition to the main plot, the reader gets a glimpse of the town’s history.
This was a delightful story for an afternoon of leisure and one that even though the characters had to overcome some obstacles, finished with a HEA. Thus leaving the reader with a smile on their face.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Hallmark Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I never really thought about wedding magazines or destination weddings, most likely because I never married. The premise for me was unexpected, but fascinating. I loved the town, the story behind it, and that the whole town was involved in making it the number one spot for a wedding of a lifetime. I thought the story flowed well, and I loved that it started from Jason’s point of view. I was a tad irritated at Tara wondering if she would have the moral fortitude to do what was right instead of what would get her ahead in her job, but I know in reality people are faced with the same type decision. After finishing the book, I looked up the first one in the series so I can read it. I expect there will be more books in the series, and I will be reading them.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book from Hallmark Publishing for an honest review.

A Cottage Wedding portrays yet another "love at first sight" romance between two unlikely strangers, just as good as the first in the series. This time though, it did not take very long for the two main characters (the novice Weddings Today journalist, Tara Stewart and the owner of Captain's Cottage, Jason Heart) to realize that they have fallen for each other, certainly enchanted by the town's aura of romance (and weddings) but perhaps also because both are searching for their perfect soulmates. Leigh Duncan's illustration of the climax via a catch-22 situation brilliantly builds up suspense and keeps the reader (me) captivated. The appended Orange Balsamic Roasted Carrots recipe is perfect for this summer read. As always, thank you Hallmark for the book review opportunity. All opinions are exclusively mine, they are not sponsored in any way or form.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this boo. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A Cottage Wedding, by Leigh Duncan, is available at booksellers 6-2-2020. Cottage is a Heart's Landing Novel from Hallmark Publishing. I'm crazy about all things Hallmark. This series revolves around the perfect town of Heart's Landing, the top wedding destination spot. I'm in love with the town and all it's residents. Our current couple, Tara & Jason, are no exception. Cute, sweet, instant attraction, trying not to fall in love (which never works). Their story is adorable and I think you'll love it. If Ms Duncan would send me directions to Heart's Landing, or even GPS coordinates, then I'm gone there to stay. Cottage gets a rare, for me, 5 stars & deserves every one.

Wonderful book. It’s a Hallmark book, so I kind of expected the Hallmark movie format, but I didn’t expect to be so enthralled with the characters and the plotline. This was not a book I could put down. The magazine editor was mean and poor spirited, the junior writer was enthusiastic and determined, and the cottage owner was just what every woman would want in a man—looks great, kind, thoughtful, detail oriented—I could go on and on. I’m glad I got to know these characters, was happy to see other characters from the previous book in the series (no, you don’t need to read the series in order), and was happy to spend time in Heart’s Landing. I’m already looking forward to the next book.
