Book: Happily Married Happily divorced Author: Swati Kumari Favourite quote: Best things never come without hardship. Nothing is free. It will always cost you. Review: The story is about varushka and mitash who get married under the imploring pressure of parents and society. This is a classical Indian arranged marriage saga. The title of book is kind of a bummer which gives the plot away. The language is simple, lucid the story flows nicely. I wished the story didn’t drag so much and had a better ending or even an alternative ending. So what will make you pick up this story, 1) The protagonists character is weak at the beginning but the gradual growth in her strength and how she stands up for herself kind of makes you fall in love with her. 2) The issues of the LGBTQ 🏳️🌈 community and acceptance in our society is what the book portrays beautifully. 3) The characters are well thought of and kind of give you an interesting outlook. 3/5

About the book : I was intrigued by the title. And it was reason why I picked up the book. Judging from the title, I was curious to know the story. Cover could have been a little better. The book tells the story of Varushka, who completed her studies in engineering, a career oriented girl and for her career comes First before everything else. And marriage was not on her list. And then there's Mitash, living life in his own terms. The story revolves around Varushka and Mitash. Varushka was forced to get married and soon her parents started looking for the eligible grooms for her. And this is when she met Mitash. She was impressed with him and she knew he's her Mr. Perfect and they got married soon. Leading a very happy and a picture perfect life, giving couple goals, no one could have imagined that they would get a divorce. Read the book to find out the reason behind their divorce. For me, this book was okayish. The story was predictable at some points. Language is easily understandable and even a beginner can go for this book. At some points ,I felt like the author is dragging the story unnecessarily. The story highlighted the issue faced by many of us. In today's time, we are still forced to get married at the right age. Our Career is then not that important but marrying at the right age is the top priority. my overall experience with this book was nice and I finished reading this book in 4.30 hours.
“A marriage is a gamble and made in heaven. However, the probability is higher in love marriages!” Varushka answered. “An arranged marriage can be as successful or unsuccessful as a love marriage. Sometime ago, I was reading an article based on a research survey report which stated that the global divorce rate in arranged marriages was 6 percent approximately. A significantly low number, don’t you think? Hence I rest my case as I don’t think love marriages and arranged marriages are as different as we make them out to be by stereotyping them,” Nishav debated. “If a wedding is a tie that connects two hearts, then love is that cementing element that supports and makes that bond stronger. Think of cozying and snuggling together with your spouse, and looking back at your life together. You will have so much to look back upon – the moment of your first meeting, falling in love, the proposal, and finally when you committed your ‘I’ to turn to ‘we’ and got married. It is a feeling of pleasure and thrill of two hearts committing to be one – friends into lovers that no arranged marriage can match, no matter how much ‘love’ the couple in the marriage has. Married life becomes a voyage that you relish when you are married to your love. Moreover, you will always strive and do your utmost to improve. You know the person better and know how to handle and adjust to be happy and make your marriage happier. All thanks to the love you share with your best friend, spouse and lover,” Arshiya said.
“Then those adjustments can be made in an arranged marriage as well. At least, there won’t be any pre-perceived expectations. People change after love marriages,” Nishav objected. “People do change with time. No matter if it is in a love marriage or an arranged one. What if looks, or the financial situation changes after marriage? Time is never constant for anyone. I support love marriage,” Ankit said. It is better to go for something with a higher probability of success unless you are looking for too much of adventure in life,” Varushka said. “While the modern wisdom of the millennial finds itself more inclined towards love marriage, a significant amount of marriageable individuals choose to go the good old arranged way in India. Irrespective of the privileges an arranged marriage offers like family sup port, there are definitely some benefits of marrying someone for love. Well, this has been a topic of heated debate since eras. But tell me one thing, what would you talk with your first date arranged by your family? ‘Can you cook? What can you cook?’ Errr… this sounds like a chef job interview. ‘Do you keep your room clean and organized?’ Oops… now this is like someone is interviewing a prospective maid. ‘Are you a virgin?’” Aniket tried to change the debate that was getting too personal for his liking. “Oh yes, and I would be happier if she says ‘no’. I would thank god that at least she is modern, intelligent and opinionated,” Nishav commented.
Welcome to the review Is this book any novelization of any movie, no don't take me wrong but this book made me feel little uneasy. The narration and story telling was not of my kind. U think that the story is quite umm,. i will saw that it feels like a made up story and this is not what I expect when I read a romance novel. It is a Fiction but still there should be reality.
Making things clear I won't say that I dislike the book but I will say it is an okay book. I understand the fact that author is new and not so proficient in writing style and conveying messages by story or quotes but she did a good job. It isn't a book which I loved reading but definitely it is not a book I never wanted to exist. The cover is good and story is short so you need not to take this book as an example. But if we ponder on the book I guess it was quite unacceptable to marry and divorce. People are still independent after marriage but fine no offence 3 stars for the efforts

My review :
Favourite quote: If marriage connects two peoples, love is that cement that binds their heart forever. My review the story was so dragging and boring that it became difficult to finish the book. The book has dealt with some serious issues . The ending was good only because of this reason. (i will not tell u the reason for it go n read the book) The character of Mitash was impressive and Rea also played as a supportive sister to Varushka. The narration was good . The language was simple. The book is good for the beginner. Totally recommending this one to everyone.
I rarely pick up any books from romance genre books I couldn’t resist picking this up after seeing cover and title. I loved the book cover and title both. The protagonist of the story is Varushka. The opening scene of the story is Varushka is travelling by plane and newly married couple requested her to change seat so that they can sit together and looking at them she falls into deep thoughts. Varushka is a young and career oriented girl but like every parents in India, her parents wanted her to settle down. She met Mitesh. He was the most eligible bachelor she can ever met. They both got married but after a while What led them to divorce? Read the book to unfold further plot. Definitely when I read the blurb, I wanted to finish the book as early as possible to know the suspense. I like the plot of the book and definitely the suspense part. I rarely like the books from romance genre, but this was exceptional. It’s written in simple and easily understandable language so that everyone can enjoy it. I like the character of Varushka as like her I also can’t compromise my career for anyone. And my parents have always worry about the settling down. And if I want to choose between my dreams and parents’ wish then it will be really difficult for me also. And definitely I loved the way the story ended. Overall good one. Definitely recommended!
Story is very relatable, typical Indian middle class family story but the ending is different. Story has right amount of romance, friendship, love, respect for everyone, written beautifully. It has family sentiments, society sentiment/pressure etc. All emotions and situations narrated appear genuine. Story starts with Varushka returning back to India for a get together to meet her best friends where each starts telling about their life since they last met. To know more about Varushka, about her family, how she met Mitash, how there married life was, what was the reason for their divorce to know answers to all of above and more read the book. I liked the charecter Varushka, she is different because when a girl felts cheated she will go-to any extent to see the other side destroyed but here she respects and ready to let go Mitash. All characters are well portrayed and author has made justice to each of them. Varushka placement interview part was funny to read
Pros : The narration is smooth, language used was simple and easily understandable.
Name of the book - Happily Married, Happily Divorced by Swati Kumari Stars given - 5 on 5 stars. My take on the book - Let me tell you a small story first, with this book I thought I was getting haunted by a ghost cause you see the page numbers to which I was adding my bookmarks to kept on changing. So finally I did what any brave soul would have done in my place. I ran to my Mommy. And then what she said made me pause. You see it was my Mom who was reading it when I was taking a break or I was when she was taking a break. I guess that's the thing about a good book, you havta havta havta read it. So coming back to the story it was a very interesting. It had good times and bad and sometimes it was just life. Totally recommending this one to everyone.
I quite like the title of the book and it matches to the story. This story revolves around Varushka who is a career oriented female but when her parents wants to get her married she after a point agrees to meet the guys. 💕 During this search she happens to meet a guy named Mitash and then after lot of thinking agrees to marry him. The fairytale life starts with her shifting to Amsterdam. 💕 But as we all know even fairytale have ups and downs, soon there relationship hits a rock and tumble. Happily married happily divorced by Swati Kumari Varushka is a fresh graduate with a good job in hand and big dreams in her eyes. Her parents however have other plans and force her to meet potential grooms for an arranged marriage. Mitash enters her life and changes everything. She agrees to marry him as he wants to support her dream of working and making something of herself. They get married and start a life together in Amsterdam. Varushka is very happy in her new life and loves her husband. But one day she stumbles across something that changes the course of both thier lives. What does she find? Will they ever be able to sort thier difference? Will thier fairy tale end in a divorce? It is so heartening to see the kind of Romance books women are writing now a days. Gone are the days of pure Mills and Boon dramas. Todays women want more than to be just a "wife". Through this book the author Swati Kumari has given us one such strong character of Varushka. The writing is good and the plot is interesting. The characters are well developed. I liked how the author has handled the delicate topic of gay rights. Overall a good book to read for all the lovers of Romance genre.
Cover : I loved that cover, it's pretty and shiny and gives a charisma to the book. The cover of this book along with the title attracted me here in the first place.
Review of the book : Varushka and Mitash are two head strong people binded in an arranged marriage. Varushka wanted to further study and complete her education but of course change of plans leads her to a life with Mitash.
They were actually happy in their marriage but soon everything turns berserk. Truth unfolds and we realize not everything is how we see them and there are further many truths to them. Dark topics are explored here and is quite enjoyable.
I loved the book personally and would recommend everyone to read it. Happy reading y'all.
Rating for the cover- 3/5 Rating for the book- 4/5
Story of the book- Life is not as simple as we wish it to be. The world is not as supportive. This story narrates the life of Varushka who studied engineering from NIT and could not wait more to get a job and settle on her own. She’ happens to be pretty much every young woman with a good education, strong sense of identity, desire for privacy, unwashed mouth and mind of her own. She wanted to meet her own expectations, no one else’s. Neither is she scared or hassled about an uncertain future but life had a different choice for her. Her parents were more eager to get her married to a nice guy who would support her like any other Indian parents would dream off . The first guy she met was not good towards her and didn’t want her to work after marriage leading her to reject him it was obviously too much for him to be around her . Although her aunt brought a new guy for her hand. The name of this new guy was Mitash and this eligible bachelor wanted to marry her also he was settled in abroad with a very sable job. As we can predict from the title of the book Varushka chose to marry against her dream of job and freedom. Soon they marry and she was even happy with her new life she day by day she fell in love with him. But then fate had a different plan for them... She came to know the Hidden truth and betrayal... This leads them to divorce! My view: This book aims to talk about the serious issues of marriage. It is not bed of roses and happily ever after requires a lot of struggle. WE ALL have weaknesses. As the saying goes every rose flower has its own thorns. Always remember that no one is an angel. Marriage is not a bed of roses ,never it has been. Every smilingly perfect marriage has gone through its own rough patches. True love is proved in time of challenges. We have also heard times without number that marriage is not a bed of roses, meaning marriage is not like a hot knife going through butter; it comes with hiccups, sometimes hurricanes and earthquakes. The only people whose marriages are “all-rosy” are hypocrites. As we seen in the case of Varushka life seemed like a fairy tale for her until life's reality hits in, what is that truth that has now become the cause of their divorce? Why does varushka says it's a happy divorce? Pick this book up to find out. I have to even mention that the character development was really good though out the book you can find a sense of growth in the characters I really liked Mitash and also Varushka’s sister Reah who really was a very supporting sister also the names in the book was really unique something you might have not heard easily. The title is pretty catchy. The writing style was good but it could have been way better. The language was easy going and lucid. The narration was good kept me hooked up only thing I used was that the title shouldn’t had been that much predictable. The plot was fresh and unique but it lost its strength in the between. Favorite lines from the book-
It hurts as hell when you are conned in the name of love.
Book Title: The title of the book ' Happily Married. Happily Divorced ' is interesting and very inquisitive.
Book Cover: The cover image of the book is of a married couple posing together and facing the river. The image is as attractive as the title.
Plot: The story is about Varushka, an engineer and a dreamer who secured a job in an MNC but is forced to marry. Though she wanted to live her life in her own way, pressure from her family chucks her wings. She agrees to meet the prospective grooms and then decide to marry or not. The first attempt becomes a failure as she finds the guy arrogant. The second guy, Mitash, however, wins her heart in many ways and hence they get married. She tastes life like how she dreamt of and lives happily. After four months she seeks a divorce from Mitash.
What is the reason for which Varushka wants to separate from her husband who loves her so much? Read this quick and nice story to get the answers.
What I like: 1. Varushka's self-confidence, audacity and thirst to reach greater heights in life both professionally and personally. In short, she is a perfect representative of a modern day young woman 2. Pros and cons of traditions are well illustrated 3. A great insight about every gender is presented in a matured manner 4. Rhea, Varushka's little sister's character is so beautifully portrayed. 5. There are many real life situations where the reader can relate. 6. Mitash's character is very endearing and pleasing.
What I didn't like: The story is so good that even after trying I find no errors or drawbacks.
Characters: All the characters are perfectly plotted and portrayed the emotions perfectly.
Narration: Though a simple story, the narration and the emotions shown in the story are absolutely very nice.
Language & Grammar: A very simple language with good grammar is found in the book. The font and the vocabulary used is very appealing.
My Final Verdict: A perfect love story
Book Title: 4/5 Book Cover: 4/5 Plot: 4/5 Characters: 4/5 Narration: 4/5 Language & Grammar: 4/5 Final Rating: 4/5

🥀Cover and Title :- The cover of the book is very simple and cute. A couple sitting their witnessing a beautiful moment and the feeling of togetherness with your partner created an magical impression through the cover. The title of the book also really catchy and attractive. Anyone can surely attracted to read the book after seeing the title . The title is that damn good. 🥀Plot :- The book based on the main protagonist Varushka, who completed her engineering and highly ambitious and focused towards her career and goals. Marriage is like an optional task for her in her life. But Indian parents and their poor thinking n attitude towards marriage is simply unbearable. Varushka was forced by her family to marry Mitash , who take his life for granted living a life in a different way always sincked with in himself. After meeting him Varushka also thought he may be her Mr. Perfect who supported her in her career motivated her to study more acquire more knowledge and got a job in Amsterdam. When everything looks like perfect in life reality again hits in and showed its original picture. In this case the reality and truth is so wretchful and pitful that took their relation to an end.... 🥀 Protrayed of Character :- Every character done a significant contribution to make this book a good read. The character Rhea is described beautifully as a supportive sister when everything happening wrong in her sister's life. 🥀 Writing and language :- The writing is simple and effective. In some part it is written so wonderfully that I can visualised and imagined those parts. But in some part it is very dull too which make it a boring read in some parts. So the writting is good in patches but not in a composite manner. The language is very easy and understandable. Book : Happily Married Happily Divorced Author : Swati Kumari 💍 “ If a wedding is a tie that connects two hearts, then love is that cementing element that supports and makes that bond stronger.” 💖 The book starts with a reunion of five college buddies. Varushka, the protagonist narrates her journey of Happily Married to Happily Divorced. 🌸 Varushka is a young and ambitious girl, hoping to make her career before ‘settling down’ and making babies. But like always, her parents have a different plan. After tasting emotional blackmail, requests and even bribes, she is forced to make the choice between her dreams and her parents’ wish and chooses to settle with Mitash. 📚 Mitash is an eligible bachelor, living his life the way he wants, and his practical approach towards life wins her over. 🎀 The couple stays in Amsterdam after getting married and starts their journey of love but, their journey is disturbed by a hurricane. Flip through to the pages to discover how their fairy tale is turned into a disaster. 📗 The cover page is really attractive, though it doesn’t go with the content. Narration is good using simple language. There’s a lot of family drama which you can surely relate if you are of marriageable age. (As per our society norms.) ❤️ “ Love is like a deep well. You fall in, but you can never climb out. Even when you feel it’s time to climb out, for some reason there is something catching your feet, rooting it to the bottom.” 🔖 Though at times, the book doesn’t feel so appealing but what I loved the most was the inspiration hidden. 💍 Whatever feels light, comfortable and good to you is right for you. Listen to your heart and discuss with your mind before taking any decision. Until you won’t try, you won’t experience, you won’t understand.
BOOK REVIEW: Happily married Happily divorced by @swatikumari.author is a contemporary novel featuring the life of Varushka and mitash. Varushka is a young ambitious girl who wants to be independent and create an identity for herself. But her dreams are turned to ashes as her parents persue her to marry mitash a young NRI in Amsterdam. Compromising with her dreams she marrys Mitash, but Mitash being a broad minded person helps varusha to continue her studies in order to get a job in Amsterdam. Life seems like a fairytale for her until life's reality hits in, what is that truth that has now become the cause of their divorce? Why does varushka says it's a happy divorce? Pick this book up to find out. I had a fairly good time reading this. Firstly the concept around which it revolves is very unique and is executed very well.
The cover and the title are appropriately chosen, the cover signifys the pre wedding photo shoot of varushka and mitash. The title is pretty catchy. The writing style was good but it could have been way better. The language was easy going and lucid. The narration was good but it required improvements as my interest dwindled in between. The part that disappointed me was that I found it overstretched and there was a lot of info dumping in it. There are many twists in the book & many important topics have been presented in this book such as pressurising girls to get married, the concept of LGBTQ , the taboos attached to divorce, etc. The storyline was beautiful and captivating. The plot was fresh and unique but it lost its strength in the between. I loved the sibling relationship in this book. The characters and supporting characters were very well developed. Lastly the climax was something that was so unpredictable but so heartwarming. Overall, this was a pretty good read. Recommended for beginners or people who want unique reads. MY RATING: 3.5/5🌟
A common wedding story of Indian middle-class family. But there is some important message to our society, that is what I liked about this book. . Statistically, divorce rates in India are far lower than the western countries. Do you know why?? Is this because they are always happy in their marriage or they don't have any issues with their spouse?? Well no, this is because in India this kind of marriage-related things especially the divorce are still a taboo. There are some myth about divorce like Girls from reputed family don't divorce, yes, family reputation is more important than anyone's life, living alone as a single is not so easy. I appreciate the author that she portrays this thing that these are not a taboo. . Varushka is a young and ambitious girl, hoping to make her career before ‘settling down’ and making babies. But like always, her parents have a different plan. After tasting emotional blackmail, requests and even bribes, she is forced to make the choice between her dreams and her parents’ wish. Her confusion vanishes when she meets Mitash. He is an eligible bachelor, living his life the way he wants, a practical person. They are soon married and settled in Amsterdam, enjoying each other’s company and redefining love in their own special way. But then, something happened that leads them to divorce. Is that happy one or not..? Happily Married Happily Divorced will cajole you into leading a happier life and take you on a rollercoaster ride of love, surprises and unknown adventures. . My Take : . 🌼 The storyline is common, at some point story is predictable but there is something new. . 🌼 it seems like a love story but it is more than that. . 🌼 language is very simple and lucid. Easy to read. . 🌼 characters are well developed, male and female protagonist holding their own perspective. . 🌼 for me this is an okayish book to read. At some point I felt like the storyline is dragging too much. Which I don't like. . My Rating : ⭐⭐⭐.8
This is the story that portrays the life of a lot of young Indian girls. The communication & generation gap between parents and children is well portrayed by the Author here. The mother who is just like any other typical Indian woman, is worried and concerned about her daughter's future and wants her to get married and settled as soon as she completes her graduation. On the contrary, Varushka is an ambitious woman who wants to pursue her dreams before giving in to settling and taking up the responsibilities of a full fledged family. Her father, though supportive of her dreams is also unable to defend her in front of her mom and gives in to the mother's idea of settling their daughter as soon as possible. Varushka is eventually convinced of the idea too, thanks to Mitash who enters into her life and completely wins her over with his witty and casual attitude and a practical outlook towards living life to the fullest. This very nature of his, attracts Varushka and they both fall for each other and end up getting married. They're leading a happy and content life but just then something happens and the tables turn for the two of them, which makes them mutually decide to separate. They're both happy with their decision of getting divorced which is quite uncanny. To know what happened which bound them to take such a hard decision, pick up your copy of "Happily Married, Happily Divorced" today!
Even though the book is a fun one time read, most of us would even relate to it, but i found it quite predictable at a lot of points, which kinda made me not behold as much interest. I would still suggest readers to give it a read, as the narration was really good, and I also wish to congratulate the author to have put some light on topics like generation gap, which is so common these days that we mostly happen to neglect it. It is through such stories and books that we are made to realize the importance of such sensitive issues.
✨ "We don't decide with whom we fall in love with. It eventually happens". 💍 𝑩𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 🔻 Happily Married Happily Divorced - by Swati Kumari 💍 The cover of the book is appealing but it could be much better and attractive. The length of the book is about 178 pages which one can easily finish it in no time. ▪️ The story revolves around our protagonist, Varushka who is a young, beautiful and ambitious girl, trying to make her career before get married. But her parents pressurised towards getting married and start life like typical indian home maker. She was very confused to choose one thing between her drrams and her parents' wish. She rejected proposal once, but soon the confusion part went away when she met Mitash. He was a suitable bachelor, practical and smart who was based in Amsterdam. ▪️ They were soon married and settled in Amsterdam, living their newly started life and started to getting know each other. And eventually they fell in love, everything were happening so smoothly in their life. But then the plot tilts when she found Mitash's personal journal and she read it. After seeing his journal she was really shocked, everything was vanished from her life, every dream, every happiness, every single moment after marriage went away from her mind. ▪️ Has she divorced Mitash? If yes, What was the reason for it? What she had read in Mitash's journal that she decided to get divorced from her husband? Pick and read the book for more ! ▪️ I really enjoyed reading it but there were times when the story got slow in between the chapters. Overall it is a unique and beautiful plot which is beautifully written by Swati. The writing style is just good but the characterization are well developed with amazing twist and turns. ▪️ 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒅? Yeah definitely recommended to everyone who is reading this review and especially to Romance lovers (readers) as their next read. 💍 𝑴𝒚 𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 - 4/5 🌟
The title piqued my interest and I went on to read this book. Finished this in a couple of hours. A interesting take on life and choice. Indian authors are coming of age. A usual story weaved in a unusual way with a refreshing point of view.
Cleverly incorporating the current generation coming out their closet and accepting their sexual orientation and the society reaction with the D word . Even today a divorce is looked down and even now parents control their kids life by pressurizing them with life altering decisions. I liked the way the author has added the sensitive topics and weaved a story with them.
Varushka is a girl full of dreams and bucket list. Her ambition is to work hard and see the world. However her dreams come to a halt when her parents pressurize her to meet potential boys for marriage. She succumbs and meet boys, the first one has his own domination, whom she rejects, until she meets Mitash she is clear on her stand of not getting married yet.
Mitash is what every girl dreams of. Smart, sensitive a lovable. He understands Varushka's ambitions and need for independence, and at the same time he is smitten by her. He convinces her to marry him and have a career too. But is he really that good? What secret is he hiding? What will Varushka do when she tumbles on the life altering secret? How does she cope? Read the book to find out.
A must read I feel for parents too as they would also know about their kids point of view and how their pushing them to relationships can affect their lives. I loved the way the relationships are explored. Especially the ones between Varushka and her parents. I loved the way parents stand by her in crisis. A must read.
I would rate this 4.3/5 for a unusual narration. Finally other than Mills and Boons we have some regular love stories to read.

*********************************************************** REVIEW- The title of the book easily indicated the most of the story of the book. However, the cover of the book is not going well with the book. Characters played their role very well. It also indicates the mentality of old generation people in this story. The characters are Varushka (The Main Character), Rhea (Her sister), her mother, her father etc. according to me, her sister played her role beautifully as a helping hand for her. The book is easy to read but it’s becoming a negative effect as you can easily predict the story that’s coming. Romance, friendship, betrayal, love, respect for everyone, everything is written beautifully. It can be finish in just one read.
The story begins with reunion of friends, and sharing some quality times by discussing a lot of things happened in their life. Among them Varushka the protagonist here in this story reveals a shocking truth and dissolution of her marriage happily.
This the story of very ambitious girl who puts her career first before other things, a very confident and equally gorgeous lady, Varushka. She completed her degree and got a high paid job but couldn't able to work on it because of her family pressure to settling down in life first. She met with Mitash who is as Charming and his practical approach towards life what attracted the most to her and she happily gets married to him according to the choice of her family.
She started living a happily married life in Amsterdam and enjoyed her life to the fullest. She also got support from him and she continued pursuing her studies out there. But after one night's confession about his sexuality has what made her life broke down like hell. She left him and returned to her family in India. And tried to seek divorced from him but he and along with her family tried convincing her not to do so. And after having all these social drama which eventually ruined everything in her life. She took decision which changed everyone's life for better. And they both seek divorced happily.
The title of the book attracted me a lot which I think is Very unique. Though I didn't like the cover much. This a very influencing story to learn about. The story holds a lot of social issues like dowry, parental and societal pressure, women's position, accepting different sexuality and a lot more. I have enjoyed it while reading. It's a light hearted love story. Yes recommending to all.

Her maasi brought one more rishta for her, she told Varushka’s parents that the guy approached them himself as he saw her in the restaurant, the day she rejected the first guy. The book is based on love, romance, trust, family issues and understanding. It also covers the subject of LGBTQ that how people see it as a malady which can be treated with medical remedy. The story mentions that, Mitash, being gay, can be considered as a disgrace to the family and what are the possible consequences of it, if Varushka tells the actual reason for getting a divorce. I was intrigued to the book's cover and catchy title. The book is a story of Varushka - a young and ambitious girl, hoping to make her career before ‘settling down’ and making babies. But like always, her parents have a different plan. After tasting emotional blackmail, requests and even bribes, she is forced to make the choice between her dreams and her parents’ wish. Her confusion vanishes when she meets Mitash. He is an eligible bachelor, living his life the way he wants, and his practical approach towards life wins her over. They are soon married and settled in Amsterdam, enjoying each other’s company and redefining love in their own special way. 💥💥💥 It touches on taboos like divorce and LGBT. I loved how the author portrayed Varushka’s dilemmas. Mitash’s character was also equally good. He was practical yet very sweet, but has few flaws. His character is written in such a way that u can't love him also and u can't hate him also. Both were living a happy marriage lige, But then, what leads them to a divorce, that too a happy one? Is life about making deals with one’s self, to create the destiny one wants? 💢💢💥💢 1) I liked the Facebook part when varushka was checking the college photos and a message popped up. The whole conversation from page 34 to 36. 2) One of the best lines from the book was- "I am not someone who leaves the best opportunity in front and moves on in search of a hopeful better or second best". The writing is simple and easy to understand. Overall the book was a nice Read.

Blurb:- Varushka has just graduated and also got a call letter for job from reputed company. But for her parent's happiness she agrees to marry this cute dimpled NRI, Nirash, who promises her to fulfill her dreams and desires. She lives her happily married life in Amsterdam, almost like a fairy tale until everything falls apart. Mitash isn't the person Varushka loved/thought him to be. What does Varushka comes to know that forces her to decide on divorce?
My Review:- What I liked about the book for were some of the adventures and experiences. The narration of skydiving and exploring the Water world was vivid and very enjoyable. Language was easy to read and didn't attract much attention to itself. Also, the cover is really pretty.
I thought the book was okay-okay, it didn't meet my expectations though. I was hoping to read something like the movie 'Queen', roaming in a foreign land all by herself after being "happily divorced", with a hefty packaged job in hand. Instead there was a lot of marriage discussions, family drama, dowry and unnecessary tears. It was also covers the subject of LGBTQ and discussions on it was good. I felt like I was reading same thing was written over and over again to drag the chapters.
I'll recommend this book if you just want to pass the time.
The main protagonist of the story is Varushka. She is career orientated, beautiful, loves her family and wants to live her life independently. She wants to fulfill her dreams first and then wants to get married but because for the happiness of her parents she decided to get married earlier. After marriage, she was living a happy life with her husband(MITASH). But then something happened that turned her life upside down. What has happened? Will she be able to live happily ever after? Overall, it was a sweet and light read. I think that the first half of the story was fast and everything was happening too quickly. The other half of the story was good going. Also, I found the ending quite unrealistic. I liked the discussion about arrange marriage and love marriage at the starting of the story. I also liked the character of Rhea, she was strong and supportive. The book was full of dialogues that made it interesting to read. Language used is simple and easy to understand. Narration was quite weak at times. The cover page of the book is sweet and beautiful, probably displays the pre-wedding photo shoot. The title of the book is totally related to the story. The book is mainly based on stereotypes of the society and is full of family drama which was totally relatable. Topics that are highlighted in this book are: LOVE MARRIAGE AND ARRANGE MARRIAGE, LGBTQ, DIFFICULTY FACED BY WOMEN AFTER DIVORCE.
"BEST THINGS NEVER COME WITHOUT HARDSHIPS. NOTHING IS FREE. IT WILL ALWAYS COST YOU. "
The story is about a well determined ambitious girl Varushka sacrificing her dreams and future plans for the sake of her family inorder to get married. Though she approaches all the proposals with a half mind, she finally admits to get married just to get rid from the emotional blackmails. Later she finds her married life exciting and she start loving her husband Mitash who is a very nice husband. He supports her in all the possible ways and motivated her to pursue her dreams and career.
Then why did she chose to divorce him.? And that too happily...!!
I got intrigued by the blurb and the title . That curiosity pushed me to read the book within a day.
My review : The writer succeeded in depicting the perfect Indian scenario of considering marriage as a necessity than having a career specially for a girl which leads to compulsion . Also, we must appreciate her for handling a very sensitive issue (which will be get to know when you read the book) in a convincing manner. At some point of time story seems predictable .
The overall reading experience was nice. It is a moderate read for beginners. It is not a pure romantic story. Author expresses her strong disagreements in the conventional societal norms prevailing in India through the lead characters . It also excites you with some unexpected turns of events that keep up the thrilling factor of the entire book.
