Lesson of the Never, ever take a big, hairy Viking into the present and expect him to behave.
Finally back in her own time, Lainie can start her search for Hjalmar. With Asger and the Archivist by her side, that shouldn't be all that hard, right?
A time travel reverse harem full of action, intrigue and hot Vikings.
This is a serial split into five episodes, perfect for sweetening your lunch break or as a quickie before bedtime. Episodes will be released every two weeks.
Skye MacKinnon is a USA Today & International Bestselling Author whose books are filled with strong heroines who don't have to choose.
She embraces her Scottishness with fantastical Scottish settings and a dash of mythology, no matter if she's writing about Celtic gods, cat shifters, or the streets of Edinburgh.
When she's not typing away at her favourite cafe, Skye loves dried mango, as much exotic tea as she can squeeze into her cupboards, and being covered in pet hair by her tiny black cat (who's secretly a demon).
Defending Her Vikings is the fourth book in Skye MacKinnon’s Norsemen Academy serial.
Following immediately on from Seducing her Vikings, Lainie has been returned to her present time with Asger and Heather. I love how each book flows perfectly into the next instalment.
With Lainie’s heart dividing between three men Asher, Hjalmar and the Archivist, her emotionally connections are further developing with these men throughout the book.
I highly recommend the fourth episode and each prior instalment of the Norsemen Academy serial.
In this next part, Lainie and Asgar get closer. The archivist demands some attention. They will have to make a deal with the devil to free Hjalmar and let Lucas live in peace. Can’t wait to see what next for Lainie and her men.
I am absolutely loving this mini series, it’s an unusual theme for an RH and it works so well, a fresh start scoring series with great characters and wonderful plot line, highly recommend this series
Lainie is now back in the present with Hjalmar's brother and mother. Time has gone by in the present, and things aren't looking good for Hjalmar. What will they and the Archivist do to help? I enjoyed this installment of the serial. The author put a lovely little hot scene with Asger at the beginning, but there was a fun bit with the Archivist as well. The Archivist is not happy with her and all that she and Hjalmar did. The author ended with quite a fun little cliffhanger, which I am interested to see resolved. At the end, too, the author promised more in this Time Travel Academy series; I am so glad she's going to continue it, as I have enjoyed this world she has created very much.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
I was so enthralled by the latest serial that the ending came up so unexpected and way too quickly. I could honestly devour so much of this story and not get bored; I love it.
The archivist throws his hat in the ring, which we kind of new was going to happen but that ending, dang girl.
I freaking love Asger, he is like this adorable teddy bear but also brutish yet hilarious and the language barrier is so funny at times. I couldn't have imaged someone better. Seriously my favourite character!
If I am being picky there was one word that needed changing to make the sentence clearer, but this book was a really well edited and it flowed super well with the plot.
Lesson of the day: Never, ever take a big, hairy Viking into the present and expect him to behave. Finally back in her own time, Lainie can start her search for Hjalmar. With Asger and the Archivist by her side, that shouldn't be all that hard, right?
A time travel reverse harem full of action, intrigue and hot Vikings.
In this 4th book, we get some more steam and more intrigue as to what's going on at TTA. This is such a good series with characters that I love to read about. The story line and plot are excellent. Short reads that pack so much in. I can't wait to get into the next one already! Highly recommend.

I love this collection of short reads. They each provide an episode to make up a complete story so they must be read in order. This book was well written and the characters and story were well developed. I love the character dynamics and their individual relationships and watching them develop and grow. The story is full of suspense, intrigue, hot chemistry, emotion and romance. I’d highly recommend this book and the other books in this series!! I can’t wait for the next instalment!!
NB: These books quite often contain cliffhangers!!

Defending Her Vikings is the fourth installment of the Norseman Academy serial and picks up where book three left off. In this episode Lainie is back in present time and so much has happened since she's been gone. There is so much packed into this episode. Although I have enjoyed reading this serial I really wish the author would have combined the episodes into a trilogy. This is just my opinion others may love reading this type of series. Other than that a great storyline, interesting characters and as always the ending left me wanting more. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I liked this short novella. I like the tension and chemistry between the characters. A well written story that I cannot get enough of and await the ending with excitement. The parts are very short and suits for a travel, break or just for an afternoon read. I like the mystery, romance, steam and the way they all try to make it work and how to solve the problem at hand. I like that the men fights for her in their own ways and that they can see that she needs them all.
This is the fourth book in this series and my oh my is Lainie having a hard time dividing her heart between the guys. While her emotional connections are developing with the men throughout the books she is still having difficulties.

In this book the storey continues and things start to come into focus. Brilliant short Storey, Wonderfully Written and fraustratingly addictive!!!! I Love Skye MacKinnon and really love this storey but am fraustrated as it is being released as a series which means that Skye is proving her self to be the queen of torture as you are left really needing the next book
Defending Her Vikings by Skye MacKinnon is an awesome story that I have read. This is book number four in this wonderful series that I have read and fell in love with. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about Sci-Fi romances in their stories.

Another installment in the series, another bite-sized episode in Lainie and her men's story! I simply devoured it, just like I did with the previous episodes. Perfect for a quick break from reality. I'm officially addicted and anxiously waiting for the conclusion!!!

Gah! So good but so short! Skye has me cussing out loud again! Ha. But seriously, these serials are killing me lol I love and hate them. We find out what kept Lucas from coming back to the future. Which is really sad. Lainie and Asger! The Archivist!
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
I am so hooked on this story and eagerly await each new installment just so I can see what happens next. I have to say that I saw none of the events in this one coming making it a mind blowing experience that yet again ends on a cliff hanger. Fascinating story of time travel, vikings, students, and magic. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
This little serial is really captivating and well once again ending came TOO quickly! Ms. MacKinnon created intriguing characters and a plot that grabbed my attention from the first part. I hope that book 5 will come soon enough!
The next episode of Lainie and her men is here. Lainie is back in the present with Asger and his mother, but now she has to find Hjalmar. Luckily, she has the Archivist to help her. I can’t wait to see what happens next! I received an ARC from the author. This is my honest review.
Five ⭐️ stars! I love this series. Time travel plus academy plus reverse harem plus Vikings - what’s not to love? The characters are fantastic and the storyline is interesting. I’ve already pre-ordered the next episode.
Lainie is finally back home but things are not that easy to fix. Hjalmar is in trouble and his mother and brother are there to try and fix things. The Archivist is still a man of quickly changing moods and Lainie is hopeful that he will help Hjalmar. This ending turns things upside down.
Being in her own time now with her viking is trouble for sure. She meets the archivist again and tries to locate her professor. I like the flow of the story and that she is smart and trying to help where she can. When all five are out in the series it will be released as a full book.
The lost are found, times are changing and there are changes and twists and turns for all. Our characters journey continues and the end is near. I can't wait to see what happens!
Lainie is in quite a few pickles. Hjalmar is accused of murder, she has been absent for 2 weeks, and three men are vying for her attention. Well Hjalmar would be if he wasn't in prison. She is so lucky to have 3 hot men attracted to her.
The action is getting more intense as the plot thickens and tensions increase. The romantic spark between Lainie and her suitors are off the chart. Who will she choose?
