I absolutely loved this collaboration between these two authors. It flows together so smoothly that the reader has no idea who wrote what.

This story starts out on a true tragedy that makes you wonder how this little girl could ever recover from or how she could continue on, knowing she was the one to push the button, killing her parents and so many others, leaving her clinging to life and completely alone in the world at such a very young age. But this story shows that no matter what, the world continues on and how one’s determination can pay off in the long run.

Tori may have had a very hard start to her life but her strength and courage keeps her going and helps her succeed in getting into the FBI, while hiding the true reason she’s determined to become an agent ~ prove her parents innocence in the bombing that changed her life forever. She knows they were not responsible because she remembers the “Magic man” no one else believed existed and she needs access to the files to bring the true criminal to justice.

Now that she’s in and has all she needs to pursue this “Magic man”, she gets sidetracked with a missing persons report but she’s about to find out how that missing persons case will bring her face-to-face with her past.

She has the love, support and friendship of her best friend, Jess, who became her family in the orphanage they grew up in, to help keep her grounded.

She also has her partner, Taylor, watching out for her as he helps train her into how the FBI works.

Then she meets Dr. Preston Collins. She’s drawn to him, as he is to her but it’s her question at the scene of the latest bombing that causes the two of them to start working together to solve this.

This book has it all. Triumph over tragedy, intrigue, mystery, some comedy, on the edge-of-your-seat suspense, with a bit of romance but at the heart is the evil of a madman. How the twisted mind of one can destroy the lives of so many.

I look forward to reading more from these authors and I hope to read more on Tori, Jess, Preston and the rest.

Do you believe in magic?

What a rollercoaster. Cruel Magic has intrigue and suspense with a dose of romance. I hope this is just the beginning of Tori's adventures.

I have to admit I normally dont read contemporary fiction, but I was asked to help the authors as a beta reader . As I read each new chapter I fell in love! With young Tory, the woman she became as she grew up in a group home and as an FBI agent who swore she'd find the man who trick an innocent little girl into pushing the buttons to explode an airplane and then the whole airport..Tori was that 5 yr old girl...all she wanted was to watch her Daddy's plane land and go home with him and Mommy....but one innocent conversation with a kind looking man complete lk y destroyed her life....does she find him? Read CRUEL MAGIC and find out ..I promise you won't be disappointed.
