The characters in this book were, quite frankly, TSTL in the last book, and in this book they really took a dive and set a new low.

I don't know why this series is so awful when the main one was enjoyable, but man ... by the end I was just laughing. It has the same juvenile prose and narrative pacing issues (by which I mean, things happen so quickly that there's no weight to the story at all ... like, in book 1, we met her mother and she died, all in the space of like 2 pages, which had zero emotional weight) - those seem to be standard for this author - but they aren't the core problem. They didn't ruin the other series for me, they were more of a side issue.

The core issue is how stupid the characters are. I mean, we don't see them do a single intelligent thing in this whole book. Not a single thing - if there's a choice to make, they will always make the worst one. Let me give you some examples:

And these aren't the only examples. But whatever dumb choice they make, plot armor ensures that there are zero fucking consequences. And somehow, people keep bowing and scraping to this utterly brainless twat who shouldn't be asked to lead a kindergarten parade, much less a rebellion. All while her vapid inner narrative is filled with simplistic bullcrap.

The guys are 2-dimensional (at best), but I suppose that's hard to complain about when Adie herself is a damn cardboard cutout. She is a Mary Sue that warps the whole world around her, and she's done nothing to earn any of it. The best thing that could happen is that one of her spectacular mistakes end up totally stripping her of her powers, and these fates that we keep hearing about decide to pick a savior who doesn't eat paint chips next time.

Ugh. I tried to power through this because I eat up every glimpse we get of Winter and her guys, but I just can't. It's crap.

Adelaide Autumn is the Autumn Court heir and has landed in Frayan with Josh and Tay. However Adelaide and Josh’s immediately arrival isn’t easy, as she has an instant enemy - Queen Lilyanne of the Frayan courts. With a new addition to the story Jonas and other characters from past series, this ties in all the worlds from Earth to Frayan to Dragca.

Adelaide’s Trust is the second book in the Her Fate series by G. Bailey, and a story I’ve been really looking forward to. However, the storyline was missing something for me, and I can’t pin point what it was. I’ll stick with the series, and hopefully the next book - Adelaide’s Storm can bring it all back with an epic conclusion.

I enjoyed this book better than the first one.

This book is not long at all, less than 200 pages, but a lot is packed into this book. Adie establishes her relationship with all her guys and we find out who she really is.

We finally met the evil queen and Adie makes new allies in her home world.

Very good middle book. I am looking forward to the final book in this series.

I enjoyed this one more than the first! I liked how this story ties into the other books, it was nice to see it all connect. I did wish that we had more times of Adelaide and her men more instead of most of them being apart for half the book however I did enjoy the development of their relationship. Interesting to see what will happen in the next book, lots of action incoming!

2-2.5 ish stars. I read the first in this series quite some time ago and I don't think the rest had come out at that time. Maybe I should have done a reread of the first book in the series, though I do remember it, I just couldn't stay invested here. Granted this book felt way more like filler to me, positioning the characters where they need to be for the big battle. I kept constantly glancing down to see what percent I was at thinking to myself when will it be over. That is kind of harsh I know, but I just have to be honest. For some reason I just couldn't get into this. I think we have the "middle" book syndrome here. It just felt like not really much was happening and even the parts of confrontation seemed a little anticlimactic here. I have loved this world in the past, having read all the spin off series connected with this. I just couldn't really get "in" it.

Not sure when or if I'll try book 3 out. I hate leaving things unfinished I'm just not that into it. I just don't think that this series calls to me like the others do.

In this second installment to the Her Fate series, Adelaide finds herself transported through a portal to Fray, the world in which she was born that has been awaiting her return. While trying to navigate this new yet oddly familiar world Adelaide learns of a prophecy that names her the true queen of the Frayan courts who must defeat an evil ruler currently destroying all of Fray.

Adelaide gets a lot of answers about her past and who she is in this book. Not only does she finally see the world she was born to, but she begins to understand her powers a bit more. With the help of her pack, a guard from Dragca, and some Frayan natives who seek to right their world, Adelaide avoids being killed by Queen Lilyanne until she can find a way to defeat her for good.

Adelaide's Trust is a great second book in the Her Fate series. Picking up right where Adelaide's Fate left off, we get a closer look into the Frayan world, and even get mentions of Queen Isola in Dragca and Queen Winter on Earth. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I am just completely astounded by G. Bailey's ability to weave all of these worlds, these stories and plots and characters, together over so many books. Everything from the Her Guardian series, the Wings of Ice and Fire series, and this current series have worked together to lead to this point in Adelaide's story. I love it and can't wait to see where it will lead in Adelaide's next book!

Another jewel!!! G. Bailey just keeps the plot rolling with this one!! There are surprises and intriguing plot points!! The guys in this make your heart melt a bit! I can't choose a favorite! I like that Adie finds herself in this edition. She has grown into her own skin and she's going to be such a huge force and unstoppable! I can't wait to see her take down the evil queen. I do feel so sad that every time Adie seems to meet a family member, they're taken away from her so quickly and in such dramatic ways. Her pack gives her guidance and strength but her Fray people have given her a home and a mighty purpose! Book three can't be released soon enough!! Ms. Bailey writes with such heart! She puts so much creativity into these worlds that she creates! I love reading her detailed descriptions as you really feel like her worlds are lifting up off the page towards you!! Are you ready to jump in? One click anything that this ah-mazing author writes and your sure to embark upon a memorable adventure!! 💝💝💝💝

Adelaide's Trust: An Paranormal Reverse Harem Novel (Her Fate Series Book 2)
by G. Bailey 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

******** May Contain Some Spoilers ********

I will try my absolute best to keep spoilers to a minimum or completely out of my review. Sometimes it can be hard to do so.

So much happens in the book. Gem keeps the storyline enthralling. Adie and Josh are in Frayan. The Evil Queen Lilyanne (Lily) is determined to kill Adie. Rick, Nath, and Mich find a way to Frayan only to be taken by Lily (I'm not putting queen in front of her name cause she is crazy). Almost forgot, Jonas from Dragca has been sent to help Adie. Well Lily ends up capturing Adie, Josh, & Jonas. The Great Escape leads to amazing discoveries. Adie's past is revealed and fate has spoken.

Side note: All the guys, except Jonas, are falling in love 💜 with Adie and she with them.

•••••• I highly recommend this book/series! ••••••

Meh. This second book is extremely short, and therefore everything seems squeezed together, in very overly dramatic ways at times.

The writing is still clunky and sometimes cringy. The insta-love is annoying. The villain seems like a caricature of an evil Disney queen. But I still read it, and I’ll read the next (and last) book. Hopefully it’s just as short so I can move on.

There has to be something good about this series if I haven’t DNF’d it yet, but honestly I have no idea what. The world building is confusing and ‘convenient’ at times. And Adie is once again a special snowflake. I still don’t feel a connection to any of the guys - it’s now mostly about how much they love Adie and how great she is. Boring and cliche and absolutely no relationship build-up. I liked Freddy more in the Her Guardian series.

Time to read the last book and roll my eyes at all the amazeballs things Adie does to save Frayan.

This was a DNF. I couldn’t finish. I got to 60% and that was hard.
All the characters are one dimensional. The only thing I feel for them is annoyance and anger at how stupid they are.

Plus the relationships have no depth. Josh hates her and than boom loves her. Yet I don’t feel any love.

Everything just happens with no feeling or depth.

She meets her mother and a page or two later she’s dead.

And don’t get me started in the stupid decisions they ALL make.

Between Rick telling his pack to get captured like that will help anyone.

And Adelaide ignoring the Fates who could tell her what she has been whining about wanting to know and rushing headfirst into what they know is a trap without knowing how to use her powers or what they will do, to putting on the cuffs instead of using her freaking powers.

I just couldn’t read anymore.

The adventure continues

Adelaide’s Trust is the second book in the series so if you haven’t read Adelaide’s Fate you’ll have to read it first. This series is set in the same universe as Winters and Isolas stories only this is the next generation.

I like reading about Rick and his Pack, obviously they’re not little kids anymore and whilst they are separated from Adelaide for most of this book it’s good to see how their relationship is starting to grow.

Adelaide’s Trust starts back up from where we left off and ends with another cliffhanger so the waiting game begins for the next instalment. I’m super excited to find out how this next revelation works out. Needless to say Queen Lilyanne is a piece of work and I can’t wait to see her demise!

I enjoyed this second book to Adelaide's story. Now that she is in Frayan, everything is different and difficult for her, but she is not without those willing to help her. I love how she discovers more about who her parents were and how she goes from wanting nothing more than to go home, to now wanting to defend the people and defeat the evil queen. I also love the appearance of some old friends from other books in this same world. It makes me curious to see how it will all tie together in the end. As always, G Bailey does an amazing job creating worlds and characters that make you love them and draw you into their stories. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Fantastic, I strongly recommend you get settled in for the long read, this book is awesome!

I have to say I, like most girls at some point in our lives, have to admit, to a having had, a bad boy fantasy, and Josh fits that with all that angry, sexy, brooding2 and I love that we get to SEE him truly. I loved Adelaides Trust, although I couldn't remember the first book till I re-read the first page, then of course I "had " to carry on reading, lol so I had an all nighter rereading book one and then read book two it was, of course, excellent, I truly cannot wait for book three!!!

I liked this book better than the first one, I think. This book starts off right where the last one left off. Adelaide is back in her home world and things are kind of a huge mess. I like this book so much because we get to learn of her world and her parents and we get to meet old friends and make new ones. I love Frayan.. or what it use to be and could be once Adelaide gets her throne. I am loving how the relationships with her men are developing and I can't wait for the next book to see more of them. And I am especially excited to see the evil queen get what she deserves!

I received this book from the author.

What do you get...

When you throw a half wolf/half Fray into the world where she was born with basically no knowledge of it?
Basically, a giant mess.
Regardless, Adelaide manages to handle the situations thrown at her just fine.
There are a lot of tense moments where outcomes are very uncertain, but, thus far, good prevails.
The storyline is a bit more rushed than I am used to from this author, but I still enjoyed it and where she has taken it.
With the way it ended, I'm curious to see where she takes the next book and what happens to Adelaide with the newest revelation about who/what she is.

A great continuation

I really like this story universe of G Bailey and I think Adelaide's might be my favorite story arc in it. That said, this is book 2 in a universe with 2 complete series already so while this book is fantastic I don't recommend starting here. I'd start with the Her Guardians series.

I think the line that sums this book up best for me, from this book, was: "I’ve watched a scared girl somehow turn into a confident woman that is willing to do anything to save the world she was born in."

This is not the last book in this story arc, thankfully, because I'm really not ready to say goodbye to Adelaide and her guys.

Its ok

It isn't for me and I was tempted to give 2 stars but settled for a medium rating. The book felt quite immature to me. The conversations were stilted and unnatural. I don't see how someone is always on the run and then suddenly trusts so easily. Yes the author tries to explain this with the feeling/connection but I still think there would be some doubt. I also cannot stand the speeches that often crop up in books. You know the ones where they have no idea what they are meant to do but suddenly this impactful speech just comes to them? I can live without it, it just feels so unnatural to me.

Exciting and Adventurous

I love this world that this author has created and the crossovers. Adelaide and Josh are stuck in Frayan and have to face the evil and mad Frayan queen, where they run into Jonas the ice dragon from Dragca. The other three guys have to follow them through a portal and help lead the rebellion in order to make Adelaide the rightful queen of Frayan. This book is a great adventure story and I love the crossovers from the other two series. Cannot wait for book 3!!

This is a paranormal romance by G. Bailey that has ties to many of her other series and even has some cameos from past series. In this second book of the series, Adelaide finally finds out who her dad was and also more about her heritage. She also bonds more fully with her men even with the gruff Josh. Will Adelaide be able to beat the evil Lillian and help save her kingdom? We won’t know until the third book comes out but we know the showdowns coming.

I really think this series has become my favorite. And I really enjoy that Adelaide's Trust, as well as most of her stories, all tie in together in one way or another. Gem always has a way to sneak little clues in, that always has me asking myself am I missing any clues.

In Adelaide's Trust, Adelaide finally finds out about her heritage and her dad. Two questions, will Adelaide be able to save her kingdom? And is Adelaide bonding to her men fully, even Josh? Find out!

Love the characters but the story was rushed

I was very excited for this book, the continuation of Adelaide’s story & more of this world but so much was missing. Everyone just jumped from place to place without any part of the journey being written out. I was disappointed in the lack of everything in this book

OMG what a 2nd book, talk about adventure and a fun read. I must say that my opion of Mich and Josh have now changed and I was so excited for Rick and Nath. Adelaide once proves that she is a strong character with a caring heart, and I can't wait for book 3 to see if that horrible Lilianne gets what she deserves. I really hope she does.

Book 1 sets up the events where book 2 can pick up & boy did it pick up. Adie is thrown into the Frayan world where we learn a lot more & are introduced to new characters.
As I said in my previous review, I like how every MC is interconnected to other series that we enjoyed reading. I can't wait to read the final book in which it will conclude Adie's journey.

Wow

I am such a G. Bailey fan. This book was even better than the first. So much action, so much love. We dive deeper in to each character, we learn a lot more about Adelaide's past and that of her lovers. But boy is the drama and the chaos in this book so good. I really can not wait for the next book.

Adelaide's strength grows with every new obstacle thrown in her path, be it by hunters or those not entirely unlike herself. Life with her harem is slow going at times, but increasing in heat with each day that passes. The ending left me with a sense of anxious anticipation of what's next to unfold -- I can only hope Adelaide realizes what occurred before it's too late!

What an adventure so far!! I loved how we are able to get to know more about her past and how things have shaped where she is today. The emotions that are shown through the different trials she has to face is unreal and the world that has been created is wonderful. I really want to know how this plays out and to see her relationship growing and strengthening! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
