Simone isn’t having an easy time of it right now. Her parents have split up, everyone thinks she’s gone mad, and there’s a Greek god visible only to her who won’t stop trying to fix her up with boys.
But when her father finally meets Eros -- or Eric, as he prefers to be known -- matters take a twist none of them were expecting!
JL Merrow is that rare beast, an English person who refuses to drink tea. She read Natural Sciences at Cambridge, where she learned many things, chief amongst which was that she never wanted to see the inside of a lab ever again. Her one regret is that she never mastered the ability of punting one-handed whilst holding a glass of champagne.
She writes across genres, with a preference for contemporary gay romance and the paranormal, and is frequently accused of humour. Her novella Muscling Through was a 2013 EPIC Award finalist, and her novel Slam! won the 2013 Rainbow Award for Best LGBT Romantic Comedy. Her novel Relief Valve is a finalist in the 2015 EPIC Awards.

This story reads quickly and lightly. A young teenage girl of divorced parents has an imaginary friend: Eros, the Greek god of love, who tries to find her boyfriends. What happens when he needs her dad explains a lot about her life. Enjoyably cute!
’n Ligte en vrolike storie oor egskeiding, tienerjare en nuwe liefde. Oulik, met ’n lekker verrassing of twee!
Simone has an imaginary friend only she can see. Eros or Eric, as he prefers to be called, is trying to find Simone a boyfriend. As a high school student, she does not want a boyfriend after watching her parents split up. Simone's father also sees Eric when he goes to her room to talk with her. What happens now? What will Simone's father do?
I enjoyed this short story. It was fun and light. I liked Simone and her reactions to Eric and his stunts. I loved how the story ended. I just wish this would have been longer as I enjoyed Simone's reaction to Eric and his obliviousness.
Ligera y rápida de leer. Sentí que la historia podría haber sido mucho más interesante si hubiera sido desde el punto de vista del papá de Simone.... mucho potencial pero la ejecución a medias, en mi opinión.
An extremely short fluff short story, without any sex scenes obviously since no romance interest is a POV. If you ignore these limitations it's quite alright.
