As someone who is into social media and digital marketing myself, I was curious when I saw this book at my favorite book review site. The book is a worthwhile introduction to social media marketing if you are just starting out on any of the big four platforms or are just starting to consider using paid ads. The book has an introductory section that is followed by larger sections about the big four social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Each section about the platforms is similarly organized, first looking at what the platform is itself and then looking at organic and paid marketing. As someone who has gained quite a bit of knowledge in this field myself, I found that I knew much of what was in this book; of course, I was hoping to learn a few new tricks. So I wouldn't say that this book is for the experienced social or digital marketer. But if you're relatively new or don't understand one or two of the platforms, this is a solid introduction that will get you thinking about what you can do for your business or brand. I did think the title wasn't wholly accurate. I don't really see this book as being about mindset at all—it feels like it is more about action; the title would be more accurate if that word were simply dropped. If you are new to social media marketing or have been considering how to use it for your business, this book may be a worthwhile read as you dip your toe into the waters.

A must for any budding business. I am like many people quite computer literate but my social media appreciation hadn't caught up with the current state of possibilities. The book is a great introduction to the different ways the various social media sites can be utilised to further one's marketing and business efforts. I learned a great deal and the author even provided a taster chapter of a more advanced version of a book for those that have already mastered the basics. No doubt one would be spending many hours putting some of the ideas into practice as this book isn't about spoonfeeding which keys to press but in my opinion, it bridges the gap between social media ignorance and the possibilities it offers when used correctly.
