I’m the man who is going to save her from her past.
But the sparks between us aren’t enough. She’s lived far too much life for that.
I’m not giving up until I figure out where her pain comes from and how to heal it.
Life’s never than easy though.
The minute I start to crack the code and move in to help her heal, my past shows up.
And a choice must be made. One that threatens to destroy what we’ve started.
I’m a good man. I’ll always sacrifice for others.
Even if that means that I’m nothing but a memory.

There is nothing Ms. Lexy Parker can not write. Whew, now this... This boom definitely has a heartbreakingly beautiful storyline. While this is the 4th installment to thie Calendar of Love Series, it can be read as a standalone book. Remember Me comes with plenty of twists and turns that will keep you completely enthralled throughout. Drama and intrigue galore as this young widow, Dani, tries to heal. Clay and Dani begin to change, as they experience plenty of sparks and chemistry between them. Just as things were going right, Emmitt, Clay's Brother, returns home bringing tons of drama with him and it effectively begins to break apart what they have built. There is so much to this well designed book that I could list in this review, but I don't want to ruin it for you. This Impressive release has love, drama, Intrigue, suspense and just a whole bunch within it to keep you riveted, from cover to cover. Can they get their happily ever after? Yes, however, getting there is nothing but a well worth it, albeit difficult journey.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Remember Me in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend reading this book (with tissues) as well as anything crafted by Ms. Parker. I absolutely adored every word of this release.
Based on the synopsis I expected something different, perhaps a little more intense and suspenseful. The blurb is misleading because there is no real drama in this book at all. It's actually a very light read. The story doesn't even match the title, which I found kind of weird, but whatever. Once or twice it seemed like it was building to something more, but it never went outside the lines. In the end, it wasn't bad but it wasn't anything that I'll remember in a week or two.
I had a tough time feeling a connection between the characters and I didn't connect with them at all. Clay was okay, but hard to figure out. The biggest issue I had was with Dani. Really didn't like her at all. She wasn't someone I would ever warm up to or care to know. She sent a lot of mixed signals and really was a busybody and straight up judgemental pain in the a*se. She was totally out of line with her attitude when it came to Clay's relationship with his brother Emmitt and Clay was justified in his anger towards her. I hated it that he felt guilty for it later, because Dani was the cause of each conflict between them.
The book was okay and there was nothng really wrong with it, but for me it was just missing something. Honestly, I was more interested in Emmitt and what made him tick than I was the main characters. He was the most intriguing character for me, but then I'm a sucker for the surly, difficult ones. I might give this writer another go if he gets a book of his own but I'm not sure they are up to the challenge of redeeming such an unlikable person and making it convincing.
In summary, the story is kind of insta-everything, low-angst and low-drama. Nothing too emotional or heavy and I wasn't compelled to stay up late to finish it. It definitely stays within a tight boundary. It doesn't skimp on the sex details, but the scenes were well-written with none of those words I hate. It's a safe, easy read for anyone looking for just that.
ONE FAST AND FURIOUS DELIGHT!!! Laudeee, laudee ha' mercy! Man, talk about one jaw dropping frenzie. Lexy doesn't hesitate to put it out there and shake things up a bit. She nailed this baby 100% on point accuracy, kicking up a rollercoaster chocked-full of surprising events and unexpected activities that keep you flipping page after page. All the trials and tribulations that propels those swirling emotions bursting into play smoothly. One mesmerizing storyline and gripping plot bring this bad boy blazing to life beautifully. Sparks fly as drama and suspense ensues in epic proportions. Drama, non-stop action, heart pounding, pulse racing, hard hitting wonder that thrust all the pieces together brilliantly. The two main characters chemistry is hot, smoldering and sultry. The characters are authentic, consistent and realistic with depth and traits that rock this baby to its core. The scenes are so vividly detailed and descriptive, it paints one majestic background that gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Fantastic job Lexy, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Dani is still grieving over the loss of Gage which was almost 2 years ago. When the marines came to her door to tell her he was gone, she thought her life was over. Can you ever move on from the love of your life?? Clay never thought he would find that one person who he couldn't live without. Even though they've lived in the save town these two never officially met.. But when they do, there is an attraction that they both can't deny. Is Dani ready to move on? Can Clay be the man she deserves and put his family issues aside to be with her?? This is another well written addition to this series and just a sweet romantic story. I love how the characters of the other books keep popping in here and there. It truly makes the series even better. Enjoy.
I love reading. I could care less about tv, and movies. I have not found many books I can't finish once I start reading it. That being said, when I started this book it was very hard to become invested in them. The plot was so transparent I skipped over half of the book and could still keep up. The brother coming home was so predictable and of course the ending was no surprise either. I know the author worked hard to write this book and I am also sure there are readers that will love this book, but it wasn't my cup a tea.
An Enjoyable Love Story. Remember Me is a very romantic storyline about a young widow, Dani and friend Clay who begins to see each other and what goes into moving on from a death and from a brother’s unethical ways. The storyline is well presented and the characters endearing. Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. I am leaving this review for your consideration. Peace.
Loved Clay and Dani's story!! They both have pasts they are trying to move on from, but neither are doing that well. When their path's cross the sparks fly, but will chemistry alone be enough for them to let down their walls? Their story while passionate, is chick full of guilt, regret, and anger that threatens to tear apart their fragile bond. This one sucked me in from the get go, I just loved it!
This book is the story of Dani and Clay, even though Dani really hasn't ended her story with Gage yet. The story goes two steps forward and one back until she decides what to do. I like Lexy and Parkers combined writing styles. I enjoy them separately as authors and together. I enjoyed the story and characters in this book. Kept me interested throught.
