I gave a low rating because of all the confusing plot throughout the book. For instance when Cliff rented a Buick from Hertz Rentals. Then he arrived at a highway, I assume with the Buick, and he put himself into the path of a truck attempting to stop the truck. When the truck pulled over to stop, he got into the truck and hitched a ride to the airport, where he picked up the Buick. I thought he already got the Buick. Next thing I see is that he is pulling the Buick over to a pedestrian, to ask for directions. Over and over again I was loosing my way through the book.
I had difficulty following the story. The author starts a story, stops, starts another, stops, starts another... I would like to follow a story a bit futher before changing characters. Gave up reading really soon into the story
Raises good questions about genetic manipulation and greed. While a very predictable novel it is easy enough my students could read it and we could use it to discuss the issue of cloning, genetic engineering and personal ethics and morality.
The author really did a lot o research to provide all of the interesting details. I kept coming back for more each day, waiting for the mystery to be solved. I like everything I have read from this author. Good book!
