Welcome back to the Wild Wild West in 1885 and the town of Bridgewater, where one cowboy—one husband—is never enough.
Young, beautiful and idealistic, Tennessee Bennett longs to marry, but only for love. Unfortunately, her father intends to marry her off to the first wealthy man who will have her in order to pay his gambling debts. When his plan takes a murderous turn, Tennessee finds herself alone and penniless on the streets.
Best friends James Carr and Jonah Wells have watched, and wanted Tennessee for two years. Gentleman to their bones, they have done the right thing, waiting for her to grow into a woman old enough to wake to their touch. But when he discovers Tennessee is in danger, James knows they've waited long enough. The rebellious woman will be claimed and awakened to passion by not one husband, but two.
The Bridgewater way of one woman marrying two husbands is unknown to Tennessee, but the heat between them is undeniable. She learns that her men will do anything to protect her. But protection—even passion—is not love, and Tennessee is not willing to give up the one thing she truly needs in a marriage.
Can the three of them discover what truly is at the heart of their marriage before it's too late?
This standalone book has characters introduced in Their Brazen Bride, book 8 in the Bridgewater Series.

As a loyal reader and fan to Ms. Vanessa Vale’s Bridgewater series, I was so excited when I read that she was adding another series, Return to Bridgewater. In Bridgewater, Montana, the men follow the customs of the small wild country of Mohamir where men, usually in twos and threes, married a woman together. It wasn’t for their needs, but hers—having two husbands ensured the wife would always be protected and cherished. The Montana Territory was just as wild, and the same concerns for a wife existed.
Tennessee Bennett was a pawn used by her father to gain money. He planned to marry her off to a wealthy man to cover his gambling debts. The only problem, Mr. Grimsby’s mine had played out, and he was counting on marrying Tennessee, believing she was a railroad heiress. In the end, he kills her father and holds Tennessee and her friend, Abigail Carr hostage for days. Now Grimsby is in jail, and Tennessee is alone.
James Carr has waited for Tennessee to grow up and he is ready to claim her, but he wants to include his neighbor and friend, Jonah Wells so that they will have a Bridgewater style marriage. Getting Tennessee to accept isn’t easy, and will involve a rescue, but one compromising situation will alter the original plans.
The plot will include secrets, surprises, sassiness, and spankings when James and Jonah confront Tennessee and rescue her. Her innocence doesn’t keep her from being curious and open to exploring with James and Jonah. Getting caught wasn’t the plan but won’t change the way the men planned to live and love her. Why hasn’t she shared her secret and what needs to happen with her men? Will misunderstandings get in the way and cause trouble?
“Guidance and a stern hand are required. She needed love. Attention. Comfort. But also consequences and boundaries she’d not received growing up.”
These stories by Vanessa Vale will take the reader on a fascinating journey of dominance, submission, passion and erotic sexual scenes. The cast of characters are fierce, loyal and passionate in and out of the bedroom, the women are strong but willingly submit, and the men are dominant and very protective. Bridgewater men possess their wive’s in both body and soul. Nothing is considered inappropriate. These stories are extremely explicit in sexual detail in a loving and fulfilling relationship.
“While it seemed to be somewhat out of our control, perhaps it turned out better this way. Perhaps it was fate giving us all a nudge.”
Their Rebellious Bride is book ten in the Bridgewater Menage series by Vanessa Vale. In Bridgewater in 1885, a beautiful woman named Tennessee Bennett longed to find someone to love, but her father wanted her to marry for money. However, something happens, and James Carr and Jonah Wells come to the rescue when they realise she is in trouble. The readers of Their Rebellious Bride will continue to follow Tennessee Bennett to discover what happens.
Their Rebellious Bride is a fantastic addition to this excellent series by Vanessa Vale. I enjoyed reading Their Rebellious Bride, which allowed me to forget my problems for a couple of hours. I loved Vanessa Bennett's portrayal of her characters and their interaction throughout this book. Their Rebellious Bride is well-written and researched by Vanessa Vale. I like Vanessa Vale's description of the setting of Their Rebellious Bride, which complements the book's plot.
I recommend this book if you enjoy erotic romances.
Their Rebellious Bride is the first book in the Return to Bridgewater series, connected to Ms. Vale’s historical Bridgewater Ménage series. Tennessee has been saved from a rotten suitor by her best friend, and now her best friend’s brother is determined that they will marry. But Tennessee is keeping a secret that could tarnish the bond she’s building with James and Jonah. Will the men’s dominant ways and her secret drive them apart or could they build something real?
Oh my goodness, I was so thrilled to be back with the historical Bridgewater lifestyle! Tennessee, James, and Jonah grabbed my attention right from the very beginning of the book and had me flipping pages and only wanting more at the end! I loved how steamy their connection was, loved how they all kind of had to adjust their thinking of what a marriage should be like, but ultimately were there for each other when needed. Tennessee might have seemed a little rebellious at times, but she had a really good reason as to why she acted strangely. James and Jonah were able to provide different things to Tennessee, love and support, discipline and structure, and even though they may have misunderstood her at times, they only wanted what was best for her. This book was filled with finding that unique love, lots of delightful chemistry, and I am so excited for more books in this series!
I have enjoyed all of the books in this series. I’m so excited to see a return to Bridgewater. Great chemistry and mixed with a bit of drama and suspense.
The Rebellious Bride by Vanessa Vale is a new Bridgewater, Montana series. The main characters are Tennessee, Jonah and James and this is their red-hot story. What's great is Vanessa Vale re-visits her Bridgewater series but it's the historical town instead of the modern day one. This is a historical romance that has M/F/M. Jonah and James are ready to claim spunky and sassy Tennessee. Their love story will have you rooting for their steamy HEA. Full of feels, romance, drama, action and romance.
Oh I love visiting Bridgwater! I can never get enough of these ruggedly tough Alphas with their sweet hearts and dirty mouths. Vanessa Vale is one of my automatic one-click authors. I can always count on her to bring me a sexy, steamy story that always leaves me completely satisfied. Their Rebellious Bride lived up to every expectation that I had and then some. I loved Tennessee's sassy attitude and independence. James and Jonah are her perfect match and I couldn't get enough of their story. If you are looking for a fun quick sexy read, I highly recommend you pick this one up!
Woah, that had a lot going on in a short book. Young girl who gets pulled into a web where a man wants her to work for her supper so to speak, the man who saves her, she runs away from, then other older guy who is old enough to be her father is getting in on with her almost as soon as he meets her. Oh, and there's some spanking and also a menage.
No one can say that Ms. Vale doesn't pack a punch with her books!
I can't say that the plot development is 5 star but these short little books are a pornucopia! James and Jonah sure did give young Tennessee an education. LOL
Welcome back to Bridgewater! Tennessee’s father plans to sell her off to the highest bidder in marriage so that he can pay of his gambling debts. When he ends up dead, Tennessee is on her own. Jonah and James have just been waiting for Tennessee to grow into the woman they know is theirs. Great read with off the charts hot steam and an entertaining story. I loved it!
Hot, dominant cowboy types? Yes, please. Vanessa Vale must've heard my thoughts and decided to gift me with not one, but two hot cowboys, James and Jonah, who have to go claim their bride, Tennesse.
Tennessee managed to get herself into trouble, and when her friend Abigail came to rescue her, so did her two husbands and her big brother, James. Before James went after Tennie, he told his neighbor Jonah that he wanted to have a Bridgewater marriage and he wanted Jonah to be the second husband.
Well, as you may guess, Tennessee wasn't all that thrilled by being told that she was going to be marrying James, and she had no problems letting him know that. I got a laugh at what she did. I thought it was a nice bit of improv and showed that she can really think on her feet. Smart young woman.
I like James and Jonah. I think that James gets a little mired in self-pity a couple of times, but mostly he's a good guy. Jonah is a good and honorable man, who is always going to do what he thinks is the right thing.
I can't wait to see what's going to happen in the rest of the series.
Return to Bridgewater is a new series to me as I didn’t read the original Bridgewater series but I was not lost whatsoever. I really enjoyed the dynamic between James, Tennessee and Jonah. Jonah is older than the other two by almost 2 decades so he takes on a father figure to Tennessee. James and Tennessee have had a crush on each other for a couple of years but when she gets kidnapped along with his sister he calls in Jonah to help. There are sexy times, misunderstandings, bratty behavior and illness in this fabulous story. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!! I highly recommend this book!

I don’t expect a lot of these books, a simple story with a lot of kink is all I am looking for, but you have to give me something to work with. The heroine knows that someone has been sent to murder her sisters but after not telling the obviously sympathetic sheriff, and failing at an attempt to find a poker game she can play to win money for a ticket home (to do what? she doesn’t even have a vague plan), she just drops it. She barely thinks of them while she indulges in a fuck-fest, and worries way more about whether her husbands will fall in love with her. When she finally decides to tell them, she allows herself to be distracted by domestic matters, because it’s not like anyone’s life hangs in the balance… Just don’t use an urgent problem if you want to have the heroine sit on it for days. It’s insulting to the reader. So when she finally tells one of her husbands, he very rationally suggests they will telegraph the sheriff where the sisters live, but first he takes her to indulge in a poker game because… women’s rights? Again, no urgency, and it doesn’t fit to try to wedge some kind of ‘girls can do anything boys can do’ moment into this kind of story.
But what about the sex? These stories have been pulling back from the spanking as punishment kink and now it’s nothing but lip service. It’s talked about as a punishment, but spanking only exists for sexual pleasure, to the point that the heroine is asking for it. That’s a fine kink, but not the one I am looking for and not what the series has promised. This story brings in an age-gap element and plays on the Daddy kink somewhat. That’s not especially my thing, but it fits. The sex scenes are mostly good but the ever vaulted DP scene felt a bit rushed. I am not sure what the author is going for with the tweaks to the series but I am not going to bother with the last book.
Geez this book was brutal, I love smut but the conversations alone had me cringing in this book😬
The way her two men talk to her is more than just a Dom & sub because that takes time & trust.
There’s zero time in these books everything is so rushed and you can’t help but feel bad for any woman alive during that time.
You can’t get an actual education just go to “finishing school “ if you have the money to learn how to be a good housewife.
Every one of these stories the females only choices are worn on your back as a whore or get married & have babies. So basically what’s in between your legs is all your good for 🤦♀️
This book took place right after the book before, she was the friend being held for ransom that was saved in the end of the other book.
Her best friends brother says he wants to marry her he’s been lusting after her since she was 17, his friend who’s 40 would be her second husband.
They are married immediately after the priest catches her on her knees with one of them.
This is all within the first 24 hours of being rescued from the man who killed her father & kept her for ransom. These books are always rushed but honestly…. This is just too fast!
She tried running away after overhearing 1/2 of Conversation (again this plot has been done so many times!)
Her sisters were apparently in jeopardy but at the end of the book they seem fine & one is now married.
The end… 🤷♀️🤦♀️

Of course, Tennessee would love to marry for love but after her father's shady dealings, she needs money to save her sisters. After her father gets killed trying to marry her off, she finds herself in one dangerous situation after another. James Carr has wanted Tennessee for years and has been waiting for her to come of age. Learning of her predicament, he knows the time to marry her has arrived and after some distressing news, he decides the marriage will be a Bridgewater marriage, one woman, two men. He knows his best friend Jonah Wells won't be able to say no once he meets Tennessee. He won't be able to resist her charms and will see the need for both men to keep her in line.
I tried, really I did. I love a good menage and liked the idea of these strong ranchers, especially with an age difference. Sounded sexy. I hated this book. It wasn't for me. No offense to anyone who enjoyed it. That's the beauty of books; there's something for everyone. There wasn't enough character development, relationship development, action, or consent for me. This is my first time reading this author and I can't say I will pick up another of her books if this is a good example of her stories.
Loved it!!! This was a sexy and fun read! Yes it’s a hot and sexy filled ménage my favorite!😜🥰😘However; more importantly, it has an actual storyline! Yes, a storyline with a plot, a beginning, end, and in between.
James is a strong quiet man who’s about to die but before he does he wants to claim the woman he loves. Jordan is a man who’s been burned before and is more hesitant about this love trio but Tennessee (aka kitten) totally comes into their lives and steals his heart with courageous personality and sharp wit. I don’t want to say too much about this shirt novella only that I wanted more but I definitely enjoyed what I got!
I also liked the narration, at first listening to Kylie Stewart read the story I thought would be boring but when she got to Tennessee her feminine personality took over and the sexy sultry voice did the trick bringing life and personality to the story! In the end, this is a story I’m glad I listened to and would again!😍😘👍🏾
Their Rebellious Bride by the wonderfully talented Vanessa Vale, Ms. Vale has brought us back to Bridgwater. In this story we meet beautiful Tennessee Bennett a young woman who wishes to marry for love but her father has other ideas for her. James Carr and Jonah Wells best friends are very interested in the beautiful rebellious Tennessee, and now that she finds herself in a difficult situation it’s time they step in. This is just where this great journey starts. These characters are a delightful group with some really great chemistry. There is a touch of drama some laughs and definitely some passion and love. I was extremely excited when I knew about the Return to Bridgewater book and couldn’t wait and was not disappointed. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Loved so much I had to buy for my collection.
★ Great start to this offshoot series as they are welcomed into the Bridgewater-way fold ★
—>>> James drops his sister off at finishing school and comes face to face with the girl he wants one day to become his wife. But first, he will have to bide his time until she becomes of age, as she was way too young for him then. Now, two years later, they meet again following a harrowing kidnapping incident, and Tennessee is in his grasp. And he will claim her in a “Bridgewater marriage” with is best friend Jonah. First, though, it appears that there are still a few very important loose ends to tie up with the kidnapping incident, and Tennessee will not rest until they are taken care of. Both men see a different side to their wife as they settle into the wilderness of the Montana Territory.
Im so glad this series is back iv missed the Bridgewater series and the awesome character's, in this book we see some old characters we came across in the past and new ones.
Tennessee has had it hard a gambling father who will do everything to sell her of and all she wants to do is protect her sisters so she gets in to trouble her father is killed and James swoops in. Some protests of her and bad decisions.
Fast forward a bit and after being rescued by not just James but Jonah as well she feels safe yet worried and after a storm and well her and Jonah caught in a compromising position in a church she is married. A bridgewater marriage.
This was a good book fast paced no massive drama and fun, I just wish there was an epilogue.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest Loved the book! It was so nice to return to Bridgewater. Tennessee was being sold to pay for her father's gambling debts. Not if James or Jonah have anything to say about that. They have been waiting for Tennessee to be of age so that they could marry her. Bridgwater style! How could Tennessee resist ? James + Jonah are ready to take Tennessee for a wild ride. Pun intended. The characters + storytelling were very captivating It has all the ingredients that you need for an awesome book! I can't wait for the next book in the series!
The very first book I read of Miss Vale was book 1 of the Bridgewater series. When it was announced that she would be returning to that period with I latest book I was ecstatic. Having read all the books in the Bridgewater series this latest story was just as enjoyable and a wonderful read.
Tennessee is pressured by her father to make a match that will benefit his situation, when things do not go according to plan and she ends up in a Bridgewater style marriage to Jonah and James she finds everything she needed but she just didn't know it. A fun filled read await the next book in the series
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is book 10 from brigedwater series. Let just say I could put the book down. Hot steamy the relationship with all three . Tennessee father wanted her to married a wealthy man. But what Tennessee wanted James Carr when she meet him and his sister were she went to school. Best friend James Carr and Joah Wells have watched, and wanted Tennessee for two years. The bridge water way of one woman marrying two husbands is unknown to Tennessee, but the heat between them is undeniable. This book was hot and steamy I recommend it and give 5/5
I am a huge Vanessa Vale fan and have loved basically anything she writes so when I saw that she was returning to our beloved Bridgewater I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book! I loved it! the chemistry between Tennessee, Jonah and James is palpable. Tennessee has been eyeing up James for almost 2 years and turns out that James has been secretly in love with Tennessee just as long! This is menage romance at it's best!!
Finally!!! Welcome back to Bridgewater!!! Now I know why I enjoyed the original Bridgewater Series so much… For me, it seems that “one cowboy is never enough” belongs there, in that time and place. Haven’t tried to figure out why… but it just fits! And it’s SCORCHING HOT!!! Loved it! Missed it more than I thought! Bravo!!

James Jonah and Tennessee are all interesting characters I’m not a fan of the virgin bride stuff but it worked for this book. It’s the typical MFM ménage erotica. I do like the horses in the carriage and those kinds of things. I wish we got a little bit more of that in the story as well because that’s interesting to me. I really did enjoy the narration I thought it was fine. I may check out more of the Bridgewater series.
This story fits into the series where one woman marries two or more men. You know the deal if you've read the series. Tennessee is in trouble and James and Jonah step in to rescue her. Misunderstandings, hot situations and getting trapped into marriage follow that rescue. I enjoyed seeing Tennessee embrace the benefits of being married to two dominant men.
This book is an excellent start to a new series that follows up to the original historical Bridgewater books. The book is well written, entertaining and very erotic is detail. I was sorry to see the original series appear to end and delighted to see this new series start. Loved the book, can’t wait for the next one to become available. I would highly recommend this book as a great read.
As always a great read! I love reading all VanessaVales books as quickly as possible. I can't wait for the next book in any of the series especially this new one return to Bridgewater. As always please take great comfort in the fact that your readers know how greatly talented you are. Keep up the good written word
I loved this return to Bridgewater! Loved seeing all the Bridgewater couples again. Tennessee is a spite fire and has so much spunk and the men are typical Bridgewater men. I loved James and the intrigue around his health and I loved Jonah with his past and that they were both willing to come together to make Tennessee theirs. Can't wait to read more in this series!
Nobody wants to deal with a Rebellious bride but James and Jonah have patiently been waiting for two years for their opportunity with Tennessee. She has her reasons to be the way she is but the guys won't let her do it alone. Tennessee will learn that two men are better than one.
Their Rebellious Bride is hot/steamy, has drama and filled with loveable characters.
