Do you like receiving gifts? I do! I’ve noticed that there are two primary types of gifts that we gifts that we USE and gifts that we PRESERVE. Gifts we can USE are often practical, functional, or help solve a problem in our lives - like a car, a watch, a new phone, clothing, a curling iron, shoes, a computer/tablet, and most toys (for kids and adults). Gifts we PRESERVE are often less practical and functional but may have emotional significance or intangible value that enhance our lives.
