Kendall Ryan brought us another fun, sexy, and entertaining read with Mister Tonight!

“I’m looking for a Mister Tonight, not Mister Forever.”

When Kate goes out to celebrate her thirtieth birthday with her best friends, she’s looking to pick up a guy for the night. When she meets Hunter, he fits the bill perfectly. He takes her back to his place, and things are going just as planned… until they get interrupted by Hunter’s four year old daughter. It’s awkward and Kate takes off, thinking she’ll never see him again. Until the very next day when Kate goes to see her new apartment. And realizes that Hunter is her landlord.

I loved this little twist. And the fact that Hunter and Kate try so hard to keep things friendly between them, but not too friendly. It’s hard, the attraction between them is intense. What I also loved was seeing Kate with Hunter’s daughter. It was adorable. Maddy was a trip. I just adored the two of them. I couldn’t wait to see if Kate could overcome her fear of commitment and if Hunter and Kate would be able to make a true go of it.

I listened to the audio book of Mister Tonight, and as always, Sebastian York and Andi Arndt make a fantastic narrating pair. They really bring these characters to life and never disappoint. I always prefer to listen to her audio books over reading because the narration is spot on!

If you’re looking for a quick read that’s got steam, heart, and will leave you with a smile on your face, pick up Mister Tonight.

I swallowed, suddenly light-headed from how much I wanted him. The liquid courage I’d consumed earlier was in full effect. If he could make me feel like this fully clothed in a cab, I couldn’t help but wonder what he could do in the bedroom.





I’ve never really thought of myself as being a lover of romances with single fathers but this book has definitely made me a fan. Kendall Ryan has delivered another fun and incredibly steamy read! I was hooked from the first page and this is why I will always be a fan of this author!



Kate is out celebrating her thirtieth birthday with her besties when an insanely handsome and well-dressed man catches her eye. She's been going through a particularly long dry spell with regards to sex and he’s looking like the perfect candidate as her ”MISTER TONIGHT” . Kate doesn’t do relationships and that’s mostly due to the failed marriages of her parents and also her older sister’s. It takes only a matter of seconds after making eye contact with the handsome stranger before they are sharing drinks and flirtatious banter.





Hunter and Kate end up going back to his place. Just before they enter his house, he reveals that he is a single dad to a four-year-old daughter. This does very little to cool off Kate’s libido. The two have one of the most electrifying nights of their lives until they are caught in the act by Hunter’s bewildered little girl. Kate runs off in shame within seconds and the next day is nursing a terrible hangover as well as feeling mortified at how her night with Hunter ended. She was only able to feel a little better knowing that she would probably never see him again.




Looks like fate has other plans. When she shows up to look at the apartment she put a down payment on, she is floored when she comes face to face with Hunter again, who it turns out will be her new landlord. If Kate were to be completely honest with herself, she’d have to admit the thrill she gets from seeing him again.






The two try to keep things platonic seeing as they now have a landlord/tenant relationship and getting involved could complicate their situation. But they’ll soon realize that it’s nearly impossible to keep their hands off each other. Kate proposes that they have a casual sex arrangement with no strings attached, which Hunter agrees to only because he’ll take whatever she is willing to give, but if it were up to him they’d be so much more.




Will Kate get over her fear of commitment before it’s too late?

Being homeless isn’t what gossip columnist Kate expects to be as she approaches her 30th birthday. It’s only temporary, and she found a new place to stay anyway, but it sucks just the same. That’s why she’s welcoming the big three-oh with another big O, and she needs a man for that.

When she spots a handsome man who could be her Mister Tonight, it’s just her luck that the man is looking for the same thing, too. Hunter takes her home and to his bed, but forgets one important thing in a household with his curious four-year-old—lock the door when engaging in adult cuddle time. Said adult cuddle time goes to an abrupt end when Hunter’s daughter walks in and sees them on the act. Kate flees, hoping to never have to relive the moment that interrupted their mind-blowing sex again.

Luck must not be on their side—or it is, depending on how you look at it—because Kate and Hunter cross paths again, this time as tenant and landlord. Now that Kate is living above the garage next to Hunter’s house, how can she stop Mister Tonight from turning into Mister Forever?

Kate and Hunter made me giggle and grin. These two have had one heck of a first night. Definitely unforgettable! It’s not every day these two go out to look for a one night stand, and on the very night they finally let loose and they’re having the time of their lives, it’s interrupted with Hunter’s innocent child. There’s no going back after that… not unless the man is actually her new landlord. It’s hard to stay away from a man you have insane chemistry with, and it’s even harder to stay away from a man who’s not only an amazing father but an amazing human being in general.

It’s a breath of fresh air to see the child not immediately warm up to their parent’s love interest. If I were in Maddie’s shoes, I’d be suspicious of the lady doing god knows what to daddy, too. Maddie felt very much like a four-year-old—hyper, adorable, easily distracted, and has her not-so angelic moments.

I have to admit I would have given it a higher rating if not for the reason behind Kate’s aversion to relationships. For me, it felt weak and not even directly related to her that it shouldn’t have affected her that way. I would have enjoyed the story more if that certain part wasn’t there. Other than that, I’m completely satisfied.

If you’re looking for a fun, low-angst romance between a hot single dad and a strong, independent and curvy woman (reprezent!!!), you’ll enjoy Mister Tonight.

Being homeless and hitting the big 30, Kate's out reclaiming the last part of her youth with her two besties, downing tequila shot after tequila shot before midnight hits she wants to see her birthday off with a one night stand. Looking around the bar there was no one really that took her fancy until she spotted a guy standing by the bar, he seemed like the whole package, nothing got her drooling more than a hot guy wearing a suit which was one of her biggest weaknesses. "I think I found my Mister Tonight."

All she wants is birthday sex, no strings attached, no Mister Forever.

After quick introductions are made thrown in with some cheesy one liners, a hell of a lot of flirting they make their way to Hunters house. This is where the giggles come out of nowhere, as they are bumping uglies and she's giving him the ride of his life all of a sudden his door opens and he's c#ck blocked by his four year old daughter asking what Kate is doing to her daddy.



A hurried exit has Kate thankful that she will never see Hunter or his daughter again..

Wrong..Remember she is homeless..Welllllll..She so happens to have found an apartment above a garage, and guess who her new landlord is going to be?? Yep.. Hunter. Awkward much!!

But above all else she needed this apartment. And there's no reason for things to be weird between them. She just has to hope to god his daughter didn't get a good look at her. WRONG!!



Things between Hunter and Kate burned steady between them, being in such close quarters they both found it hard to put their attraction aside, they decide to try the no strings attached game with rules, no sleepovers and no feelings to get involved or else they call it off.

Kate was a commitment phobe so this plan of hers would work out perfectly.

But throw in a gorgeous guy, a daughter that grows on her and Kates finding it hard to even follow her own rules.

I blame my one clicking of this on the cover!! But I’m so glad that the hotness of the cover was within the pages too!! I could not have spent a cold winters day any other way, this chased away the winter blues.
A short super sexy, sumptuously good novel that got its claws in me from that very first page until the very last word.
This was fast paced with it being short but so much goodness was packed within the pages.
You will all love Maddie, his daughter, my only gripe was that to me she seemed well above her age of four.

Apart from the fact, that the hero/a single dad took a stranger to his house, where his daughter slept, to have an ONS, it was an ok book.

Lock the door up. Lock the door up before your 'adult-time', if you have a child at home!

I liked the heroine till the moment she called a woman she never met a bitch. Why? Only because she cancelled on a date with the hero? Later she called another woman a bitch.

I don’t like them judgmental. When a woman trashes other woman without any reason, it’s low.

It was safe, no scenes with OP, but why did he go on a date with OW? I got, that the heroine didn’t want a commitment and told him to date OP, but it was so sudden… He could have waited till their fling ended.


P.S. I read the blurb to the next book and created a new shelf… I guess it’s time to move on…

Really enjoyable sexy and sweet romance.

Mister Tonight starts out with a bang. Hot-guy across a bar who’s gorgeous and sweet meets curvy and beautiful woman, seeking a one night stand. The chemistry was palpable. The flirty banter is fun. But surprise, he’s a single dad and this one night hookup is interrupted I. The most embarrassing way. I loved it.

It’s a very quick and engaging read. I liked both MCs. There’s a cute kid. Plus the relationship growth was perfect. All in All a super fun read!

The writing is humorous and crisp. The characters are alluring, clever, and lovable. And the plot is an irresistible blend of drama, emotion, witty dialogue, hilarious hijinks, steamy romance, and smoldering chemistry.

I've always been a fan of Kendall Ryan and Mister Tonight might have just become one of my favourites. It's light, entertaining, outrageously funny, and pure magic!

With Mister Tonight Kendall Ryan adds another lighthearted and fun tale to her repertoire. It’s fast paced and easy to read going straight to the crux of the story.

“Not date. Just birthday sex. I’m looking for a Mister Tonight, not a Mister Forever.”

Celebrity gossip columnist Kate doesn’t want a relationship, she just wants to have fun on her birthday. She finds herself celebrating her thirtieth birthday and having a great time between the sheets with the sexiest man she’s ever met until his four year old daughter interrupts them. Her embarrassment doesn’t end there though, it gets even more awkward when Kate finds out her new landlord and neighbor is none other than single dad and Mr. Sexy himself.

With fate intervening and a bit of maturity on both Kate and Hunter’s part they decide the arrangement can work for their benefit. Kate desperately needs a place to live, Hunter needs to rent the free space, they’re both adults who know what they want and are attracted to each other. What can be the harm in a no strings, friends with benefits deal?

I wasn’t committed to being a stable role model for his daughter, and it wouldn’t be fair to him or her to blur the lines in our relationship.

The story unfolds from both points of view giving us both the hero and heroine’s perspective. He’s a committed father while she’s a commitment phobe. Even though they’re on opposite ends of the relationship spectrum they respect each other and enjoy spending time together, sneaking around from Hunter’s little girl (who in my opinion didn’t act according to her age and was grating at times), toeing the no strings devil may care line, giving into their crackling attraction yet unwilling to acknowledge the deeper feeling that have been developing between them.

Mister Tonight is an easy to read, fast, funny and sexy standalone written by Kendall Ryan. It is told from both points of view with a happy ending.

THE STORY:
The blurb paints a pretty clear picture of what the story is about, so as not to give away too many spoilers, I will keep it brief.

Kate starts out celebrating her 30th birthday with shots of tequila at a bar with her friends, and it ends with her running red faced out the bedroom door of the hot man she’d picked up from the bar.

Hunter is said hot man from the bar, and when Kate found out he was a single dad in the most humiliating way possible, he didn't blame her for running off. He was used to woman turning him down because he had a young daughter.

Imagine Kate's surprise when she meets the landlord of her new apartment the next day. Hungover and mortified to find him to be the same man she’d ran out on last night.

Having major commitment issues, Kate is looking for Mister Tonight not Mister Right, but Hunter has other plans.

“Not date. Just birthday sex. I’m looking for a Mister Tonight, not a Mister Forever.”




MY THOUGHTS:
Another fun, sweet and sexy romance story by Kendall. You can always count on an entertaining read from this author. This is a feel good story filled with lovable and witty characters, the drama and emotions are not too tense and as always there is a beautiful HEA ending.

This is a relatively short audio compared to what I have been listening to lately but the story was well paced and flowed smoothly.

Sebastian and Andi make a great narrative team and really enhances the listening experience with their professional pairing. They both matched their characters well and portrayed their fitting personalities well.

No esperaba que Mister Tonight se fuera a convertir en el libro de mi vida, y por la puntuacion que le puse se imaginaran que no lo fue, aun asi admito que esperaba un poco mas de esta lectura, como minimo que no fuera tan insipida.

La trama pese a no ser nada del otro mundo podia haber tenido mucho juego con un buen desarrollo, pero por desgracia la autora no se molesto demasiado en desenvolver la historia, ademas siento que su progresion de conocidos a pareja fue muy brusca y poco coherente.

En resumen, Mister Tonight es justo lo que parece : una lectura simple y poco memorable que esta ok para pasar un rato distraida, pero si quieres algo mas profundo y significativo, esta no es la mejor opcion.

Mister Tonight embodies everything Kendall Ryan is good at: delivering swoon-worthy heroes, sassy heroines, and sweet and sexy romance.

To celebrate turning 30, Kate spends the night hanging out with her two best friends, sipping cocktails and finding Mister Tonight. Focusing on her career, leading a carefree lifestyle and being a commitment-phobe means Kate doesn't have time, or really any desire, to find Mister Forever.

When she meets Hunter, an alluring and handsome man dressed in an impeccable suit, Kate realises she's found the perfect candidate for Mister Tonight. He is charming and humorous, with cringe-worthy pickup lines and an irresistible personality.

Hunter's near perfection will leave her questioning her easygoing lifestyle.

I wasn’t committed to being a stable role model for his daughter, and it wouldn’t be fair to him or her to blur the lines in our relationship, especially when things inevitably went south.

What appears to be the greatest, wildest night, filled with passion and steam, quickly turns into an embarrassing and horrifying nightmare. When Hunter's daughter interrupts them, Kate is quick to escape, hoping she'll never see her handsome one night stand again.

Fate is interesting. And it has an even more interesting sense of humor. Kate's newest landlord and neighbour happens to be Hunter.

Rather than shy away from dating, Hunter is interested in finding someone worth it. But his ideal woman cannot just be intelligent, humorous, independent and beautiful. She also needs to embrace his four-year old sassy and outgoing daughter, Maddie.

Kate isn't interested in commitment. Hunter is. They're both adults though and prepared to enter an easygoing relationship of friends with benefits. No complications. No expectations.

Until things become a lot more complicated when feelings begin to surface.

“Mister Tonight, huh?” he asked, recalling Jessie’s words.
I rolled my eyes. “Obviously, that didn’t’ work out.”
“I’d say it worked out perfectly.”

Single dad romance doesn't normally interest me. But there was something intriguing and enticing about Hunter. And his undying love for his daughter melted my bones! They have a sweet, tight knit bond that is unbreakable.

I also love how sweet Kate and Hunter are together. Despite having commitment issues and being wary about stepping into being a parent, Kate eased into that position wonderfully.

Mister Tonight isn't drama filled, or as angsty as some of Kendall's other stories. It is one hundred percent sweet and fluffy and the right amount of steamy.

Gahhh! Kendall Ryan just did it again. She delivered another delicious romance full of hot sexy times, a strong and sassy heroine and all the Single Daddy swoons. A perfect five-star winning combination!

When Kate meets Hunter she never would have expected that he would shake up her life. Always looking for Mister Tonight versus Mister Right, Kate's carefree and no-strings lifestyle comes into question when the connection she forms with Hunter and his adorable four year old daughter makes her rethink her stance on the need for love in her life. But when lines get crossed and feelings develop will Kate allow herself the chance at happiness or will her commitment phobic ways catch up to her?

This novel was FANTASTIC and may be my new favorite Kendall Ryan book yet (Sorry Zach!!) It was full of the usual heat and humor we've come to expect from this author but with a unique twist that I loved. In this story Hunter was the one who wanted a relationship and a commitment whereas Kate was the wary and skittish party who was unsure. It was a nice change from the norm seeing how she was the one to realize that Hunter and his sweet daughter were the exception to everything she thought she wanted. I truly loved this and never wanted this story to end! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

Y’all I was sucked into this story like nobody’s business. I think this is the fastest I’ve ever finished an audiobook, i kept finding myself drawn back to it, yearning to spend more time with Kate, Hunter, and sweet Maddie.

I freaking love a good single dad story, and this one absolutely did not disappoint. It’s a super quick read, full of sweetness, swoons, and the occasional snicker. It was so much fun, and just the perfect way to lose my heart.

As an audio experience it’s top notch, the narrators are perfection and I definitely recommend you pick this one up! ~ Shelly, 4 Stars

I enjoyed this read. It’s nothing new per say. It’s pretty low angst with a dash of silly, and a side of sweetness. It’s a good contemporary read. If you’re looking for a light and fun plot with some naughty bits, then this is it!

SOOO freaking CUTE!!! The blurb got me giggling the whole time. It’s Kate 30th birthday celebration and she was looking for Mister Tonight. Hunter - a tall, dark, handsome, business suit-wearing sexy man fit the bill. Kate got her wish - she was having the hottest birthday sex ever … until they were interrupted by Hunter’s little sleepy daughter. OMG! I can’t even 😊 Kate bolted out the door in two seconds flat thanking GOD that it was a one-night stand and she never had to face Hunter again, right? I like the slow burn chemistry between Hunter and Kate. Kate and Hunter’s relationship developed slowly after that one awkward night. Kate is a commitment phobe but I also think she is taking things slow out of respect for Hunter and his daughter. The attraction they have for each other is undeniable. So, with the two seeing each other every day it’s hard for either one to resist the temptation. Eventually, Kate and Hunter agree to enjoyi a good time together with no expectations. I like Kate’s personality sassy, independent, carefree. I adore Hunter and his little girl. Single dad, sweet, gorgeous, swoony. Mister Tonight is such a feel-good romance. Two people who find love when they least expect it.
Kendall Ryan delivered another sweet, hilarious, sexy, swoony, fantastic love story. Fast-paced and entertaining with the perfect mixture if heat and humor. I can't get enough of this author. Her stories always light me up and put a huge smile on my face :) A must summer read!!!

I enjoyed this book. It's sweet, sexy, and without all the drama - literally, there is no drama . However, the downside (for me anyway) was there was no substance. Everything was too neat and clean. Unrealistic? Yea, I would say so. The characters didn't have much growth, there wasn't any backstory into their lives, and secondary characters to add a bit to their stories were almost nonexistent.

Now, I don't want my review to make it seem like the story is a total bust because that's not true. Kendall Ryan has written a charming romance that is straight to the point and quite frankly, adorable. It's an easy read, one that can be read in one sitting, and lighthearted. If you are looking for some mindless reading, a book without all the disasters that are thrown in for dramatic effect, or just a hot and sexy quickie (LOL) then I would recommend this one. Also, anyone who is a fan of the author knows her books are good regardless, so you won't want to miss this one just because it's not a personal favorite of mine.

I don't really know if I've read much Kendall Ryan -- if at all -- but if this is her writing style in a nutshell, then color me not interested. At first I was drawn in by the yummy cover art, and the blurb seemed pretty sexy, so I went ahead and pre-ordered. Unfortunately, what I got was probably the most formulaic romance novel I've read in a long time.



Everything is presented to you in the first chapter alone: How Kate just wants a fun hook-up because she don't want no drama, despite her annoying (married) friends pressuring her to find the "right one"; how Hunter wants her because "she's not like other women" (how he can tell this after a barely-there discussion in a crowded bar, I do not know); how Hunter has a young daughter at home and that might be awkward -- way to spell out the entire novel, Ms. Ryan!



Anyway, I was willing to keep chugging along until I got to a certain point: Kate and Hunter have decided that they can be adults about the situation -- okay, so great, not bad -- but then completely out of the blue, Kate is helping Hunter pick out clothes so he can look good for their platonic date. (Friendly reminder that they met with him wearing a business suit to a bar, and suddenly now he doesn't know how to dress in anything other than lame "dad jeans.")



Date? Where in the blazes did this come from?! I've known my landlord for some 5 years, and I can count on my hand the amount of times we've stopped what we were doing to make small-talk with each other -- he's definitely never taken me out to a dinner date.



So I gave up on this one. Bonus points for having the hero's four-year-old daughter come out of the house to say about the heroine: "What is she doing here? Did she forget her underpants?" Rawr.

Cliche

The first few chapters were good, left you with a 'this is going to be interesting' feeling. After that, it fell flat into a predictable cliche.
There was no real connection between Hunter and Kate. They had sex, which was sterile, and some robotic time with his daughter.
There was nothing to make Kate's stance on relationships/kids complete 180, even remotely believable.
The kid made this a two star.

Tenemos a Kate una mujer de 30 años, independiente, que le gusta hacer las cosas sin ayuda de nadie, con fobia a estar en una relación ya sea noviazgo o matrimonio y Hunter un padre soltero, ing civil, con una niña (Maddie) de 4 años que no anda en busca de esposa pero si consigue a alguien que lo acepte con una hija a la que quiera como él... estaría complacido!

De verdad que me encantó el personaje de Hunter, demasiado lindo con su hija y luego lo cariñoso que es con Kate, como las cuida a las 2!! De verdad que me pareció maravilloso.

Me gustó bastante... la relación entre los protagonistas me convenció, ademas tengo que señalar que la interacción de ellos la niña (que es la hija de Hunter) me requetegustó...

SINOPSIS

Anoche fue la noche más vergonzosa de mi vida.
Yo era esa chica.
Ya sabes, la chica altamente alcoholizada que celebra su trigésimo cumpleaños con sus dos mejores amigas, que están felizmente casadas. Y cuanto más bebía, más quería hacer algo temerario para celebrar.
Por temerario, me refiero al sexy y atractivo hombre vestido con un traje de negocios que está cerca del bar. Conoces ese tipo -alto, oscuro, guapo. Estaba segura de que él estaba fuera de mi liga, pero había tomado suficiente alcohol como para que esas cosas ya no importaran. No estoy gorda, eso sí, pero se puede decir que me gustan las papas fritas, así que así es.
Me llevó a casa y disfruté del mejor sexo de cumpleaños de mi vida. Bueno, hasta que nos detuvieron en un momento bastante desagradable.
No hay nada como ser interrumpida a mitad del sexo con una vocecita que preguntaba:
—¿Qué le estás haciendo a mi papi?
Solo mátame ahora... o eso pensé.

Descubrí, que el hombre que monté como un toro en el rodeo también es mi nuevo propietario.

Começar um livro e lê-lo de uma assentada é tão bom! Adorei :)

É um romance que possui todos os clichés possíveis mas eu adorei. Kate, que está solteira e para comemorar o seu aniversário, vai até um bar com as suas melhores amigas. A atracção com Hunter é imediata e mútua mas depois de um encontro desastroso onde são interrompidos pela filha de Hunter, Kate pensa que aquele caso foi apenas de uma noite e que felizmente nunca mais terá de ver Hunter e sentir-se envergonhada.
Eu gostei imenso da Kate e da relação dela tanto com o Hunter como com a Maddie. Hunter é um pai dedicado à filha mas gostava de ter tido mais informação sobre o seu passado e como foi a reacção de saber que ia ser pai solteiro, pois é algo que não é muito comum nos livros. A Maddie é amorosa e traquina mas a autora soube bem dar-lhe espaço nos momentos certos, acaba por também ter bastante protagonismo na história.

Creo que es el primer libro que leo de esta autora. Y me ha encantado. Eso sí, es súper corto.
Kate esta cumpliendo 30 años y su idea de la mejor celebración es pasando la noche con un hombre sexy, así que sus amigas y ella se van a un bar a celebrar y Kate consigue lo que busca. Solo que no esperaba ser interrumpida por una niña de 4 años y que al día siguiente se enterara que el padre soltero y sexy que conoció la noche anterior era su nuevo arrendador.

Estoy segura que te vas a enamorar como yo de Hunter, el soltero más cotizado del preescolar, y de Maddie esta niña me robó el corazón. Es una historia muy linda.
