This novel was a short one and I think that was what I had issue with the most. I think if it was a longer novel, there would have been more to explore and the characters and their relationships would have been stronger. However, as this was such a short novel, it felt as if there was so much of the story crammed into a short period of time. This was most noticeable for me nearing the end where it felt as if all the loose ends of the story were being tied up somewhat messily. Again, with a longer page length, I think the ending could have been tied up at a pace where it felt more natural.

Another issue that I had with this novel was that I believe English was not the way the story was originally written. I have no problem with translations but I think there were some things that were lost in this translation. Some words were translated incorrectly and I found myself rereading a sentence multiple times attempting to understand what was being told. Hopefully in future editions these translation errors are able to be corrected along with some of the editing/formatting errors.

My overarching opinion is that I think if this was a longer novel, it would have been much better. The story and the characters would have been more 'fleshed' out and I would have been more invested. I did like many elements such as the humour and the inclusion of modern media (The Vampire Diaries and Twilight) and I did really enjoy the ending but I wish there had been more content before we got to that point.

***Thank you to to the author Riley Baker for sending me a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review***

Fantastic read!!! I could relate to Amy so much. The way she was feeling was how and felt about love and exactly how I felt growing up. Lots of character development. The only thing is I wish it was a little bit longer. It was my first book I read from this author and I absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to read more from this author!

If you liked "The Hating Game" and "One Day In December", then this is definitely your next read!☺️
It's a fast paced reading, where Amy is a funny, and sometimes paranoiac, character, that loves deeply and would do anything for her friends, and Adam, a mysterious, charming guy, with an easy smile in his face, that is always trying to convince Amy about his feelings.
Amy and Adam relationship are a mix between love and hate, and good and bad timing in their life's!
It all started when Amy, still a teenager, mets Adam in a night out with her friends.
Funny enough, his the half-brother of her best friend,Ruby!!!😅
So as time goes by, her feelings evolve for Adam, but being hurt before, he leaves without even saying goodbye and only leaving a book he wrote behind!😱
Amy, hurt as it is, put the book in the trash without a second look, and continues with her life the best way she can, trying to forget Adam and dating other guys, but, as fate should have it, he keeps coming back to her life, every time she thinks she's getting over him! 💗
Sometimes Amy is with someone, others is Adam, but both know that they are crazy with each other, although they difficulty want to admit it! 😅
In the end, after 6 years of turmoil, they manage to finally fulfill their destinies and in Adam's book release day, all the guests in there ask the same questions: Did you let her go? Do you still love her? Are you still together? 🤔💗
Have to thank once again the author @riley for the giveaway and for sending me her book!!💗😘

It was an interesting read .
So the format is a little odd , with writing style .
The time jumps are a bit fast for me and so I felt detail was lacked and then crammed in the story .

The love story and drama of this teen is captivating , I was semi sucked in like oooooo what’s next . It’s almost diary style with the format .

The relationship was too far fetched for me at times too thou : like hey we could date , hey it’s love , hey I’m gone , hey one week passed , hey I hate you , hey I love you , hey 5 years , twist then over .

I was left un fulfilled , but did enjoy the aspect of every girls dream to want and wait for love at any given moment .

Every one needs a happy ending ending , with or without a jerk :)

First of all let me make it clear that I do not read romance novels as a rule. But this one was super interesting. It kept me hooked till the end. I kept wanting Amy to end up with Adam but also with rest of the characters. (I won't tell names.) I loved how hilarious she is, and how independent she is. Throughout the story we see her develop. That's a heroine worth admiring.
Sadly I can't say the same about Adam. As the title says he is a jerk. Sure human nature us complicated but I just cannot bring myself to like Adam as much.
The writing style is fluid and funny. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good romcom and a quick read. (I finished it in a day.)

Time washes away your pain and although it won’t disappear completely, it will make it fade away, as the sea washes away the sand

I enjoyed this romantic drama, I liked Amy’s personality from the first chapter, she was so funny, although sometimes I was exasperated with the decisions she took.

It was a quick read, and it kept my interest till the end, because I really wanted to know what happened, how Amy's love affairs ended.

I will extend a little more my review this weekend in my Bookstagram account.

"First rule: Don't talk to strangers. Second rule: If you do, don't follow them anywhere. Third rule: If the kind stranger has beautiful blue eyes, forget the first two rules, bid goodbay to your loved ones and let's go."

If you were looking for a modern Bridget Jones, don't go any further, you have found her. Amy is a typical teenager who is waiting for Prince Charming, the perfect boy that arrives with his white horse to make her live her fairytale. The problem is that in reality things never go this way. You fell for the wrong boy over and over again and your heart loses a piece every time.

This book is so much fun! Amy talks to herself all the time and reminds me of myself when I try to figure out what to do and I end up looking completely crazy because I express my thoughts out loud. At the beginning Amy is sure that happiness can be found only if you are in love, but growing up she understands that first of all you need to love yourself and what you are doing. In particular it is clear that when she is in her twenties she is more aware of herself and other people's feelings.

The story seems to come out directly from a 90s love story movie but it is written in such a fresh and new way that I ate it up even if I don't usually read romance.

Moreover this book made me really nostalgic. I mean, every girl thinks that her first love will be the Big Love of her life, just to understand that life changes people and it makes us take different paths. But what if we don't give up, what if we take the first flight to reach the other person even if we don't see each others in 3 years and his voice on the phone makes our legs tremble?!

What do you think.. should I call my first love?

It was a easy going ✅
Relatable and teenagers kind of book.
It’s not like fairy tales where at the end and throughout after 2-3 turmoils things go alright , but a realistic very humanistic book about teenage love and complicated relationships.
