"The American Au Pair" by M.S. Parker

My Rationalization:

A good story where the two main characters came from two different worlds. With the death of Aeric's sister and brother in law this 'au pur pair'[Aeric & Kitt] will come together due to the care of the children that is needed. I enjoyed the read for the most part however I didn't care for Aeric in how he handled certain situations. Then there was Kitt at times as she got on my nerves because I felt she gave in much too easily to Aeric. But as the story continues you will see there will be plenty of twists and turns and hot sex scenes that will lead the reader to hope to see these two finally coming together in a HEA.

Good story

Unfortunately, needs better editing. A few errors that shouldn’t be there, like “ham” instead of “hem”. But, a good story. Could have been 4 stars.

Grief driven lust turns into deep seeded love

Just like the other Filthy Rich Royals titles, this book deals with the fictional romances of one of Europes hereditary Prince’s and how, despite the pomp and ceremony that their strict succession and courtship laws dictates they defy those expectations and choose true love over protocol.

Now there’s no spoiler here because if you r read the blurb, you already know that this story begins with the untimely death of the Princess of Monaco and her husband. Their devastating murder sparks a whole series of events that both bring Aeric, Prince of Monaco and the Princesses American Au Pair, Kitt Bocho together.

It’s fair to say that these two don’t initially get off to a great start. Aeric, heir to the Monaco royal family arrives at the families home within hours of being told only to find the house void of any staff or security other than his nephew and niece’s au pair.

His sister and Kitt had a very close relationship that went beyond Kitt’s profession. She had become part of the family, considering the children like her own. They mean everything to her and that is clear to Aeric as soon as he arrives at the family home in Germany. The children also clearly love Kitt. But due to the lack of direct contact Aeric and his sister Anne had engaged in over Kitt two years of employment, Aeric doesn’t understand the closeness between them.

Lost in a world of grief and devastating loss, Aeric and Kitt unite in their feeling of hopelessness and end up using each other to help to forget everything that is happening around them. But that single sexual encounter ends up being more than a one time affair as they both find something in one another that neither can deny.

After the news is prematurely leaked in Germany about his sisters death, the situation turns dire.

Sadly, for Aeric he is fed misleading information that taints his view of the beautiful and caring Kitt that he has come to know. The information given to him implicates Kitt in his sisters death, claiming that she was having an affair with his sisters husband. Instead of giving her the chance to defend herself - Aeric dismisses her. Kitt is now not only grieving her best friend, but is also homeless, jobless and potentially on the run.

What follows is a story of intrigue and conspiracy. There’s plenty of action and heart stopping moments when everything starts to be revealed and the harsh truth uncovered. As things become clear, Aeric realises he’s made a terrible mistake… he just hope Kitt can forgive him.

Admittedly… I struggled to like Aeric at first. He’s arrogant and pompous. He’s been so used to a life of privilege and everyone knowing who he is and what he stands for… so when he first meets Kitt, he outright disregard for royal etiquette rubs him even more up the wrong way. However, as he starts to warm towards her, Aeric mellows and is really quite adorable… more like the fun-loving Aeric we saw the previous book.

By the end of the book he is much more like the Prince I’d hoped he would be. If I could ask anything more of this book, I would have liked to have seen more chapters involving the children, particularly at the end when Aeric finally takes custody. I wanted to see more of Aeric with them and how they interact as a family. I just think it would have been a really nice touch.

Other than that, I really enjoyed this story. Once again… I did feel like it needed an epilogue just to nicely finish it off. I know there’s only one book left in this series and I’m wondering if Aeric and Kitt with feature in that one.

I loved this book as much as I loved THE DUKE'S VIRGIN, the first in this series. M.S. Parker writes emotional and erotic and heartfelt prose. For example, I never read in another novel a line like "my nipples drew tighter in envy, I thought, because I wanted to feel his hands on me there". This text is powerful because it highlights Kitt's innocence in her inability to verbalize the actual body part, even in her private thoughts during one of her first sexual encounters. Prince Aeric, however, has no issue with explicit and erotic words. He is deliciously filthy!
The only reason I didn't give this book a five star review is that both Kitt and Aeric have character flaws that I found hard to take. Kitt is is is the American Au Pair working in Germany for the wealthy Karl and Anne Weiss family caring for the couple's two children. Anne is royalty, Princess of Monaco, and much beloved by her husband and family. She and Kitt become friends, the only real friend the lonely Kitt ever had. When Anne and her husband are murdered while away on a trip, Aeric, the Hereditary Prince of Monaco, comes to Germany to take charge of the children and bring them back to Monaco. In a matter of hours, he has seduced the virginal Kitt and taken her in sex so rough, he doesn't realize she is a virgin! Kitt stupidly accepts it and allows it to happen again and again. Sorry, something is wrong with a woman that can't tell that she deserves so much more. Aeric's character issue is that he is too quick to accept hearsay as gospel, and mistreats Kitt so severely, she is put in various dangerous situations. Then, after all she suffers, she is too quick to allow Aeric back in her bed! I know this is fiction, but Kitt isn't the kind of woman who should be respected if she can't respect herself.
Finally, M.S. Parker ends her books too abruptly. There is no satisfying wrap-up of issues nor some nice insight into the after affects of the climax on the characters. Inquiring minds want to know.
Kudos to M.S. Parker for being one of the only writers to know the difference between "phase" and 'faze". Even some of my favorite authors make this egregious mistake.

A great book to read. Thoughly enjoyed this book and i have to say i loved kitts character, although at first Aerics character seed a bit shallow even thogh he was the prince im glad to see that he was man enough to admit when he was in the wrong. All in all if your an avid reader and really get in t o a book like me im sure you will feel tthe emotions in this story very clearly. I hav e definately given this one 5 stars.

Kitt was the Au Pair and she really loved her job. Her boss Anne adored her. They were best of friends. Anne and Karl went out of town and while they were gone something really bad happened. Now Kitt was left with the kids. Anne's brother shows up to take over. Kitt and Aeric hit if off right from the start. Little does Aeric know about that has happened to his sister and brother-in-law. When they send the children the authorities take them in to protected custody. Aeric hires a lawyer and he gives him wrong information causing him to put Kitt out of the house. Leaving her to fin for her self. She has no idea what is going on. After Kitt get assaulted the police inform her what has happened. Aeric is informed by the police that Kitt had nothing to do with the murders of his sister and brother-in-law. Kitt gets out of the hospital and has no where to go. She finds herself at a coffee shop just down the road from the house she used to call home. After leaving the show she is spotted by Aeric and he takes her back home. MS Parker did a real good job on this one and I just know Aeric and Kitts story isn't over yet. :)

Kitt is an American nanny working in Germany as an Au Pair for a high profile family. When she is left with the children while the parents are on a trip she never expected something to happen to them while they were away. When its does she has no idea what to do about the children so she keeps to a normal schedule until family comes. Aeric is upset over losing his sister and when he shows up at his sister's his takes that his frustration out on her. Kitt calms him down and they talk about what needs to be done about the kids. They end up sharing a wild night together coming together from their grief. However neither anticipated how everything was going to turn out. It wasn't long before their lives took a tailspin and a misunderstanding would send Kitt out on her own. Will Kitt give Aeric another chance? Will they find out what happened?

This is an amazing story that will keep you on the edge of you seat. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Take an overused Hallmark Channel plot of a Prince falling in love with an Au Pair and add improbable, gratuitous, shades-of-gray sex between the arrogant, immature, self-centered prince and a naive virgin and you have this novel. The first sex occurs shortly after they meet and the Prince is grieving the very recent murder of his sister and the Au Pair's dearest friend and employer. The novel sinks further when the German police refer to the unmarried virgin as Frau Bocho, not Fraulein Bocho. The totally inept German police interview the twosome about the murder but fail to search the victims' house for clues. Finally, I was uncomfortable with the author's titling the main character as the hereditary Prince of Monaco. Is this supposed to be Princess Grace's grandson? The poor people of Monaco! Why not make the principality Genovia or Narnia? Did I finish the book? Yeah, I skip any and all the sex scenes so it was a short read, but I am always going to find out if Cinderella gets the prince.

This book is full of action and passion. The amount of hotness that Aeric exudes with his commands will have you melting. Same thing it does with Kitt. And don't be mistaken, he is an arrogant prince but he is not her prince. So it makes you love her for making him feel off balance. She brings him down a notch to be normal. She is a woman whose braveness will teach this prideful prince to be better when he is lost.

When he is force to deal with a tragic loss, out of rage and sadness a fortified union between them rises to step up and take care of family. They find an escape in each other but they also find what is missing to fill that void they have. His dirty mouth and bluntness will have you thirsty for more and there is no denying this man is committed. Kitt is not able to deny him and she doesn't want to because unlike everyone else, she sees the real him. She sees the same hurt she is experiencing or even bigger under his armor. She is loyal and dedicated and even when hurt she will always put others first. Including this arrogant prince.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed this story about Kitt and Aeric. He's the crown Prince of Monaco and second in line for the throne behind his father. She is an au pair for princess Anne's children Josef and Karol. When Anne and Karl are murdered everyone's lives are thrown off kilter. Kitt who had stayed home with the children while Anne and Karl were traveling is left to deal with the aftermath of German inspectors delivering the horrible news. Then Aeric shows up demanding answers. When they decide to let the kids have one more day of normal before telling them what happened, all crap breaks loose. When dealing with the consequences of a leak of information the children are taken into custody and separated from their family. Kitt and Aeric use each other for comfort. This leads to a crazy relationship. Follow as they try to find who targeted the family and who is still trying to hurt them.

Great book

Another really good book in this series, Prince Aeric pompas arrogant heir to the principality of Monaco but a sexy gorgeous Alpha male. Kitt a beautiful quiet sexy American au pair who cares for the children of Anne Weiss princess of Monaco. Anne and her husband are murdered the Prince comes to Germany to investigate what happened to his beloved sister and to take charge of the children. He didn't know that meeting Kitt would change his life the fire between the two was instantaneous and he couldn't help but take her to bed he took her virginity without even realising it. These two go through much pain and anxiety before realising how much love they have for each other and eventually can declare their feelings to the world. It's a really great story with lots to keep the interest going, the characters engage you immediately , you go through a range of emotions with these two sadness, anger, tears, and happiness all things that make a book great. Another excellent write from this author well done again Miss Parker.

It was fine, more bdsm elements than the previous true and it was hard to believe them due to FMCs past of abuse.

Also, him just throwing her out after third hand hearing that "maybe" she was involved with the dead man?

FMC is American, living in Germany as an au pair for a wealthy couple w two small kids. Parents are away for the weekend and the cops come while the kids are napping and tell her the parents are dead. Then they leave. (???)

Several hours later, post kids bedtime, guy shows up, he's the uncle. The mom's brother - and a prince. They don't hit it off, they argue.

The next day, kids still don't know. So sent to school so they can "figure out" how to tell them .... Because the press releases are later that afternoon. Except the deaths are leaked.

And suddenly the kids are in state custody, even though their uncle (family) and the (parent authorized) au pair are there?

Then MMC is told a completely false rumor that FMC was having affair w the dad. He throws her out.

She discovers that the dad stole her money from her bank account, and she has zero. In a foreign county.

He finds out he was wrong, finds her out in the rain, sob sob, she accepts his apology, they get the kids and all go to Monaco.

I loved this book and would definitely give it 5+ stars if I could. “The American Au Pair” is the 3rd book is this series and tells the story of Kitt and Aeric. Kitt is a young woman who is an au pair for Karl, Anne and their two children living in Germany. Aeric is the brother of Anne and is in line to be the Prince of Monaco. Kitt and Aeric meet when Anne and Karl are murdered in their home while on a holiday and away from Kitt and their two children. M.S. Parker writes a story that is full of romance, hot and steamy moments, mystery, intrigue and even danger. The characters are very likeable and empathetic. I was unable to put this book down, I could feel their sadness, their fear, their anger and their frustration. I can’t recommend this book highly enough. Really, I promise you’ll love it as much as I did. Can’t wait for the next and final book in the series.

Sad, suspenseful and Love

Kitt has just lost her employer and best friend. She may never see the children she has cared for and loved for 2 years. What’s next? She has nowhere to go, no one in her family wants her; her father left before she was even born. She has no money, no home, nothing…but memories.

Aeric is trying to deal with the loss of his only sister, his darling little sister, Anne. She and her husband were murdered and no one knows who or why. His mind is fraught with grief, anger and ‘what if’s’. He has to get a grip…for his nephew and niece’s sake … find some part of himself that can get him through this horrible situation.

Sometimes life throws you such a curve that completely knocks the breath right out of you.

Enjoy the tumultuous journey from grief to surrender

After watching his cousin Stasia fall in love, it's now Aeric's turn and I'm so excited!!! I didn't realize, though, how much of a jerk the Hereditary Prince of Monaco could be until he was faced with an unfortunate situation.  While this story did eventually end in an HEA, I think he was a jerk, unwilling to hear anyone out, and totally unreasonable half the time.  I found Kitt to be almost completely lovable, with a heart of gold, and a love of children that made me tear up often while reading this book.  I truly loved they dynamics of this story, and so glad that Aeric met someone whom is so sweet and adorable to match his hard-headed jerkness.

Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This is a story about Kitt Bocho (an American who moves to Germany to become an Au Pair for Anne and Carl) and Aeric Nicolai (the brother of Anne and Prince of Monaco.) Anne and Karl go on a holiday and leave Kitt in charge of their children. Both parents are murdered because of Karl’s debts. Enter Aeric, he turns up with the Palace guards ready to take his niece and nephew back to Monaco. he doesn’t trust anyone but has to trust Kitt because his sister did. This story will intrigue the reader, it has, murder, attempted rape, misunderstandings kidnapping and so very much more. Everything the most discerning reader could wish for. Will Aeric and Kitt ever reach an understanding and find their HEA??

Oh my goodness! This story was so addictive and deliciously good. It has so much mystery and drama with suspense and of course hot romance all mixed together. It is extremely well written with amazing characters. I loved Kitt and Aeric's story. They have this chemistry and personalities that just jump out of the story. It is so unique and different than a lot of them. I couldn't put it down. I just had to find out how it ends. It is an addiction that is so good that you don't mind it and end up craving it. It is definitely worth reading and won't disappoint.

This is the third book in the series and with each one the royals get better and better, although this is the third book in the series it can be read as a stand alone, but in order the get the full experience you should the first two books in the series.

This is Kitt and Aeric's story, and what an emotional roller coaster of a story it is, there were times in this book that my heart was shattering into little tiny pieces and I wanted to reach into the pages and slap some sense into Aeric.

This book was the best in the series and is well worth the read, cannot wait for the next one to come out, I really do love stories that have royals in them.

The American Au Pair is HOT!
Aeric and Kitt have off the charts chemistry. They come from different walks in life. Kitt has had to take care of herself since she was 16. Aeric is in line to be the next crown prince of Monaco. He's forced to Germany after the tragic deaths of his sister and brother in law. His priority are their children and finding out what happened. When storming into his sister's house, he is stopped in his tracks by their Au Pair.
The writing is great and the story flows quickly. Told in both Aeric and Kitt POV.
This story is steamy and I couldn't put it down. It's a standalone romance with suspense and humor.

Had a great plot that kept me reading!

An enjoyable book with a plot line that kept me wanting to continue reading. It also had parts that had me skipping pages, like when they first hooked up without evening knowing each other, it was just a little too unbelievable for me. It had a great storyline but sadly for me, it lost a little of its excitement as there wasn't much danger and the rescue fell a little flat. Overall a good book but personally I felt this could have been a fantastic book with a few more details, it was just missing that suspense which was expected but overall a really enjoyable read.

Oh Aeric! We’ve meet him previously in the Filthy Rich Series, this is his story. This is raw and emotional, M.S. Parker did a wonderful job delivering emotional shock, mystery, anger and assumptions all in one! Aeric meets Kitt after a terrible situation takes place! Emotions explode for the positive and the negative. This is a great story and I can’t wait to see what the next book in the Filthy Rich world brings!

Fantastic story! There needs to be a 10 rating! This is a mystery, a romance, a sexy story, a sad story, a dear story and a thinking story. It has everything. Good intentions. Misguided actions. Regrets. Guilt. Delightful! Parker created a satisfying cast of characters with depth and personality. Could not stop reading this story. There was a lot going on but it wasn't "busy". You were on Kitt's side. You were on Aeric's side. You were rushing to find solutions. This is a library worthy book. I look forward to reading more from this aughor. Well done! I loved this book - though i have to say i did want to hit Aeric up the side of the head a few times!! Kitt was a wonderful character and you just had to fall in love with her dediction, passion, love and sense of humour . The story took Kitt into some very extreme circumstances which even as a strong woman, challenged her!!
Wonderfully written romantic mystery, where the chemistry between the characters is steaming hot but they are put through many trials!!

This is the story of Aeric & Kitt.  This is third book in the Filthy Royals Series.  Aeric is a Prince.  Kitt is an Au Pair to his niece and nephew.  This book is mostly about mystery, love and grief.  It is a tearjerker for sure.  It was interesting to see Aeric's personality in this story.  He was so easy going in the previous books of this series.  We get to see the real Aeric when a situation arises.  There are fantastic steamy scenes, too.  The plot to this story is great.  It's a page turner for sure.  Can't wait for the next one.

Kitt was doing the job she loved, aupair to Anne and Karl Weiss children, Josef and Karol. But now Anne and Karl were dead and Anne,a brother Aeric the crown Prince was here to take charge, Aeric couldn't get Kitt off his mind she had a way with her like he had never experienced before and now he had had a taste he needed more, until secrets began surfacing, and maybe Kitt wasn't who he thought she was. Perfection the art of two stories intermingled, suspense romance at its best.
