Can a couple of baristas chase down a car thief without spilling a drop of their favorite drink? Plans for a Valentine's Day grand opening of a small town coffee shop go awry when the first customer is killed. Evidence points toward the victim being mixed up in a car theft ring, but shop owners Tandy and Marissa have reason to believe he was framed. An assortment of suspects--from a pink-haired heir to Tandy's charming ex--all seem to know a little too much about grand theft auto. Without approval from either their boyfriends or the gum-chewing FBI agent in charge, the shop owners go on stakeouts, plan stings, and pursue justice in a high-speed car chase. If they don't find the killer soon, it might be more than their love lives in trouble.

‘The sheriff always seemed to aim at his own foot when he fired off his mouth.’
Angela Ruth Strong continues her super fun ‘The CafFUNated Mystery series with this absolutely delightful offering. Featuring Tandy and Marissa, one a coffee drinker, the other a tea drinker, who open up a part coffee/part tea shop, this one is just so much fun all the way to the very end.
People just seem to fall dead right near Tandy and Marissa. Then they think they are the best ones to solve the case. And they are mostly right. After all, didn’t they solve the murder of the last person who fell dead right in front of their very eyes? Well, here they go again when a car theft ring brings their dastardly deeds to the small town of Grace Springs. But they have to manage to solve the crime without either of them landing in jail this time.
I love these gals. Despite the fact that they couldn’t stand each other when they first met, they really are great together as amateur sleuths. And I love Marissa’s near constant klutziness. The entire cast of quirky characters (minus the bad guys, of course) have just endeared themselves to me. And Strong’s wit is so refreshing! There was nothing NOT to like about this book. And….there is some seriously good wisdom about relationships on these pages. A wise person would heed them.

Love this one! A "who done it?" that kept me on my toes throughout the whole story. The characters are very interesting people. I laughed and I held my breath at times wondering if all would work out well. Great read. I received a complimentary copy of the book. No review was required.

Let me start with a disclaimer: I didn’t read A Caffeine Conundrum (the first book in the series). I know, I know. All of you who are shaking your heads at me right now have the right to do so but there are only so many hours in a day and even more books!

With that said, it took me a little while to get these two main characters straight in my head (but not so long a while that it became annoying). I’m sure part of that was because I was picturing their personalities opposite of how the author wrote them. These are two ladies who, despite their differences, have each other’s backs when the going gets tough.

Angela Ruth Strong gives readers a cozy mystery bursting with the perfect combination of suspense, romance, memorable small town characters, and plenty of relationship conflict sprinkled with a dash of humor on top. And, like the cookies Marissa serves, there’s a lesson for every reader in any kind of relationship served on the side to sweeten the story.

Grab your favorite brew and settle in with Marissa, Tandy, their boyfriends, and the rest of Grace Springs for a delightful read.

“Choosing to be vulnerable in a relationship was about as scary as being captured by a killer.”

Strong never disappoints me with her stories. Her contemporary novels and novellas always have plenty of charm, wit, mystery, fun and camaraderie between the characters.

A Cuppa Trouble is the second book in Strong's CafFUNated Mysteries and as ridiculous as Marissa is (she is a big-time klutz!), I couldn’t help shaking my head and chuckling at some of the crazy predicaments this girl gets herself into. And Connor, her boyfriend, is a saint. He’s steady (literally for her at times…haha), dependable, not without his tiny flaws but such a great partner for her that I adore him more with each book.

Tandy just gets better and better to me. Her character development is coming along nicely and she’s becoming my favorite. Greg, her new love interest, is rock solid and a nice man. It’s good to read a book where the guy is not some reformed rogue with a horrid past. At least, that’s not what Greg is yet. ;-)

The story, while it is a cozy mystery (it’s good and a bit predictable), is really more about Marissa and Tandy and their relationship. They discover a few things about each other in this book that reveals their inner insecurities and helps deepen their bond of friendship. Overall, I really liked this second offering and look forward to reading the next book.

I received a digital copy from the author. I was not required to write a review. No compensation has been received.

Our favorite amateur sleuths are back in this second book of the CafFUNated Mysteries. I enjoyed the mystery and the dynamics between Tandy and Marisa and their love interests. Ms. Strong knows how add a good helping of humor while keeping us guessing in this cozy mystery.

3.5 Stars: This is the second book in The CafFunated Mystery series, but the first I read. It can be read as a standalone, but I will go back and read the first to get all the backstory and character development that I missed. This is a light-hearted, fun little cozy mystery, with some inspiration about relationships and communication. I enjoyed the small-town setting with the tea shop/coffee shop as a meeting place for the residents of this small town in Ohio. The main characters, Tandy and Marissa, are quirky, competitive, opposites and loyal friends. Both are dealing with issues in there personal relationships, but they were real problems that could happen to anyone. This added the character driven part of the story. The mystery was interesting and had me guessing through part of the book. There were a few different storylines happening, a murder, car thefts, and some romance, but Angela Ruth Strong did a good job tying them all together. I was pretty sure I had the culprit figured out, and I did, but that did not deter my enjoyment of the book. The issues of trust and communication between couples was a part of the story that started off subtly, but became a big issue to be sorted out by the end of the story. I liked the way this was addressed. The story was well-written with a combination of humor, mystery, suspense and faith. There were a few twists, and the ending was quite unexpected and suspenseful. A fun, yet inspirational story. The author generously provided me with a copy of this book at my request. The rating, ideas and opinions shared are my own.

This is a light-hearted, fun little cozy mystery. The tea shop/coffee shop is a great setting for the reader to “meet” the people of this little community. The main characters, Tandy and Marissa, are quirky, but that’s what gives them their charm. The mystery was an interesting one, and the ending was worth reading the book. The author, in a very entertaining way, addresses throughout this story the problem that couples sometimes have communicating well with each other. She gives some good tips for better communication in her author’s notes, so be sure to read those. This book has a good combination of laughter, suspense, and faith. I had not read the first book in this series, but after I had read the first couple of chapters I had a good grasp on the characters and how they related to each other. I’ll be interested in reading more of this series.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This novel was a fun, exciting, cozy mystery. It had wonderful relationships and strong characters. I was felt feeling like a missed some character development with this one. I now know that it is because this is the second book in the series. But it stood on its own like a standalone. I will say I had the culprit figured out pretty early in the book but it did not take any of my enjoyment out of it. I really did enjoy this. It wasn’t a new favorite or anything. I would highly recommend this book and author. The writing was beautiful and lyrical.

From page one, readers will be laughing outload at the hilarious situations in this sweet and charming story. This is the second book in The CafFunated Mysteries series and continues the story of two rivals turned friends and business partners. It’s about how these two friends always somehow get mixed up with some mystery that is going on in town and how they help solve the mystery. Along with the cozy mystery feel, there is a bit of light romance, but it’s not a main focus of the novel. The story is cute and humorous and readers will absolutely delight in it.

A Cuppa Trouble is book two in The Caffunated Mysteries. I didn't have a chance to read book #1 so it took me a bit to acquaint myself with the characters. I enjoyed this story. It was a light and fun story. It's a mystery so you'll want to know what is going to happen next. I like that it focused on solving the crime instead of the crime itself. If you like Hallmark mysteries, you'll enjoy this book!

I recommend this to my family and friends.

I received this book from the publisher to read and give my honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.

Marissa and Tandy are back and this time they own a shop together and have become best friends, that alone was fun to read in this nutty sequel. Then a customer is murdered and I was disappointed about who the victim is.

What I didn't like in the story in this caffeinated sequel...
Tandy's boyfriend, wishing she had ended up with someone else
Marissa comes off kind of bratty in this story
I had trouble keeping up with the minor characters

However, those comments are just my preferences, the story never gets dull and I could NOT figure out who the culprit was. Tandy and Marissa try new drinks on the sly in this one and it brings more craziness to their friendship. Marissa is still as klutzy as ever and it's a miracle she never gets hurt or hurts anyone else. Can the girl EVER charge her phone properly??? Both ladies have a boyfriend in this book (since they reminded me of Gus and Shawn from Psych, that part was interesting because I'm not sure those friends had ladies in their lives at the same time in any season). There is plenty of coffee and tea, misunderstandings, and great dialogue throughout! The car theft bits were also interesting and someone even gets to hotwire a car in the story. I don't think I could ever drink the amounts of caffeine that is described here, but it was fun to read about for sure! I'm looking forward to Book 3, Strong has me hooked to this series.

I was given a free copy of this ebook. I was not required to write a positive review. The thoughts and comments are my own.

I’ve read a couple of Angela Ruth Strong’s books and they are so fun and entertaining. I was given the opportunity to read the first in this series. A Caffeine Conundrum came out at the end of last year and it was such a joy to read.
We were introduced to Tandy and Marissa. Two very different fun women who each LOVE their choice of drink. They decide to open a shop and one thing after another happens to them, including a real live murder. They solved the case and became great friends. Now in this story, A Cuppa Trouble, the trouble still seems to continue to find them.
This story was so full of events which will make your head spin! With another murder, car thief, almost kidnapping, and through it all bit of romance and relationship issues.
From the very first chapter to the end there are so many twists and turns. These two women are like a magnet for mystery and trouble.
Throughout this story, the author has woven in some really good quotes and thoughts which I think we could all benefit from. Here’s one quote:
“We should listen to hear someone else’s voice to get to know them better, not just to get what we want. In that same way, we should listen to God.”
So true!
If you like to read "who done it" stories, then you'll love this newest book series by Angela Ruth Strong.
It's entertaining, suspenseful, and just plain fun!
I highly recommend you pick it up!

Initial Reaction: Blah! Sure this had its moments but as a whole I didn't like this book.

A Cuppa Trouble is about two young women, Tandy and Marissa; Tandy is a coffee lover while Marisa loves tea and together they open Coffee Conundrum a coffe/tea shop. On the opening day of their shop their first customer is murdered right outside their establishment. Being a small town the murder hits the community very hard, leading the women to look for the culprit while also planning for their Valentine's Day event. Not only are the girls struggling to help solve the case, but they're struggling in their relationships. How will their Valentine's Day turn out when death, instead of love, is in the air?

This I think would've been a question better left unanswered as this book is written with stereotypes and based on superficial values.

I found both Marissa and Tandy too focused on what they were drinking and wearing like it was against the law to like tea AND coffee. I suppose this could've been funny but I found this annoying and superficial. The girls used the drinks to describe whomever they encountered bringing tea or coffee drinkers down to stereotypes.

"Tandy pressed her lips together to keep from laughing as she  peered  outside  to  discern  whether  the  first  customer   Marissa noticed would be a coffee or tea drinker. “Oh…” She
pointed  toward  the  tubby  man  turning  the  corner.  “He’s wearing coveralls. He’s mine.” "
-Strong loc 35

The quote above is an example of how the girls stereotype, the first customer of the day is wearing coveralls so Tandy claims him as a fellow coffee drinker. A similar situation occurs below:

"Susan  Snodgrass.  She  never  would  have  expected Susan to be a tea-drinker with her tattoos, pink hair, and nose piercing, but she did have a sweet side, and the large plastic glasses frames hinted at intellect. "
-Strong loc 794

In this quote Marissa is stereotyping Susan, claiming she wouldn't have pegged her as a tea drinker. Why not? What's wrong with pink hair? Or tattoos? And why does someone have to look a certain way to enjoy a drink?

This brings me back to Tandy and Marissa, both end up liking each other's drinks but don't claim to do so until the end out of shame and pride. For some reason they both see it as out of character and wrong to like coffee and tea. Leading me back to stereotypes.

This book was dominated by white characters and when there were characters of color I felt insulted. The only two Mexicans are farm hands and can speak only Spanish. I am not claiming that this isnt the case often, but why are they singled out in such a way. Of course the only Mexicans in the book wouldn't be given positve roles and then SPOILER ALERT they're part of the crime!

"“We  arrested  a  couple  of  farm  hands  from  The Farmstead.”  Connor  smacked  the  steering  wheel  with  his  palm.  “I knew it!” "

The quote above is when the FBI agent tells the gang who's been arrested for the crime it was at this moment that I knew who the killer was, as I hoped the author didn't want to be 100% stereotypical. It was clear pretty early on who the killer was as the same phrase was being repeated, a newcomer is all I'll say so to avoid spoilers.
With this said the book has a mild mystery at best and focuses more on the girls relationships.

The author shines when it comes to the romances she writes a cute fantasy while also focusing on important values for relationships. Which is exactly what she set out to do, according to her note to the reader:

"As ridiculous as this story is, I hope you’ll hear a ring of truth in it. I really wanted to use the holiday of Valentine’s to take a closer  look  at  the  importance  of  communication  in  building"

This is why I give Strong a 1 on the Princess Scale because she did what she wanted to do, it would've been better if that's what it was instead of pretending to be a mystery.

*I have voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from JustRead Tours. All views expressed are only my honest opinion." Disclaimer I did not read the first book.

When I read book, I so often read them as an escape... a break from day to day life to take a peek into a different world. While I tend to lean towards romantic suspense, those can take on a bit of a darker tone at time. Sometimes, we just need a little fun, a little humor and a little cheesiness. 'A Cuppa Trouble' by Angela Ruth Strong provided all of that and so much more.

Reading this book, I was reminded a bit of the Hallmark mysteries that I so adore. While they are murder mysteries, they somehow seem to keep a lightness about them as well. They're cute, they often have humor, and they can run just a little bit on the cheesy side...in the absolute best way possible! This book was just like that, and I absolutely loved it. It was over the top in many ways, but it just made it all the more entertaining to read. What I really loved though was finding out in the end (in the note from the author) that some of the crazier over the top moments were actually based on real events. Real life is equally crazy it seems!

This was book number two in this series. I admit, I had not read book one. While I felt like the author summed up the previous book well without going into too much detail, if you don't like spoilers, I'd certainly suggest starting with book one first! After all, if you love a good romance like I do, you'll want to READ the entire series.

It's no secret that I LOVE my coffee, so it only makes sense that it was that coffee them that had first attracted me to this book and the series as a whole. And for us coffee lovers (or tea lovers alike), it did not disappoint... it really is a theme that is carried on throughout the story, again giving it that fun little addition that kept it light and fun. And of course made for some great puns...and I love a good pun myself. In the midst of all that though, it was also a really great message about communication in ALL relationships- friendships, romantic partners and even God. All that rolled into one entertaining package.

While this type of romance may not be everyone's cup of tea (pun fully intended), I absolutely adored it and cannot wait to check out more in the series and from the author. It was a quick read, and a perfect escape! If you love a good romance, a good cup of coffee and a little bit of fun, this is one book you will want to add to your reading list!

It's Valentine's Day! Finally Tandy and Marissa are ready for the grand opening of Caffeine Conundrum. Both are competing to see who can win over the most customers. However, things go a little awry when their first customer dies. All evidence points to his being mixed up in a car theft ring but things are not always as they seem. Tandy and Marissa feel the need to clear his name since he was their first customer. However, when Tandy's charming ex returns to woo her and too many random people knowing too much about auto theft, the job won't be easy. Will they find the real culprit or will they find a whole latte trouble?

I love this series so far. Angela Ruth Strong does a wonderful job with both the character development and storyline. She is also describing new drink recipes and baked good recipes that I would love to try. Usually I can figure out who did it by the middle of the book. This one however had me turning the pages until the end to find out the truth. So pull up a chair and bring your cup of ……. to enjoy to the last drop.

A madcap mystery

My rating is 3.5 stars

Marissa hated the snow boots Conner gave her. After all, they were ugly. If only they were pink, they would have been much better! And of course, these practical yet undesirable boots ended up playing a significant role in this madcap adventure!

As the cars began disappearing, the mystery increased. Author Angela Ruth Strong mastered misdirection as the myriad of murder suspects multiplied. I enjoyed seeing each person and their potential motive and means.

I don’t often feel strongly that the first book of a series needs to be re-read before reading the ensuing stories, but I certainly wished I had read A Caffeine Conundrum more recently. I actually appreciated this as too many books try to retell the highlights of the previous story and waste too much time on it. In this case, I just didn’t remember some of the backstory and while it didn’t take away from my enjoyment, it did mean that I kept finding myself wondering what had happened.

I wasn’t as much a fan of Marissa and Tandy this time around. They struck me as immature, shallow, and insecure. Both were so afraid to admit that they liked the other’s beverage of choice and found ways to sneak it instead of confessing their newly discovered preference. Tandy went so far as to help Conner swap the tea Marissa gave him with coffee so he wouldn’t have to admit he didn’t like tea. There was another situation where Marissa found she liked something that was out of character for her and so she wasn’t willing to tell anyone.

Overall, A Cuppa Trouble is a fun story for anyone who enjoys reading sweet mysteries.

This is another wonderful work of fiction by Angela Ruth Strong. It’s a comedy/romance/mystery joyride. 🙂

A Cuppa Trouble is the second in Angela’s CafFUNated Mysteries series. The first introduced the two main characters–sassy & savvy Tandy and beautiful & klutzy Marissa–and this builds on their relationship and fun dynamic. Chapters switch back and forth between the two friends, instead of the usual Boy/Girl/Boy/Girl.

Tandy and Marissa somehow land right in the middle of trouble again, and their sleuthing continues to get in the way of real life.

Caffeine Conundrum, their new shop which caters to both coffee drinkers and tea enthusiasts, is center stage for most of the story. The running gag about which is better (coffee or tea) is thoroughly and shamelessly exploited–with a few surprises.

As usual with these two, hilarity ensues, eyes are rolled, snark is thrown, misjudgments are made, and lessons are learned.

Angela is one of my favorite authors; I really appreciate her natural writing style. It’s always easy to follow and a joy to read. I can hardly wait to see some of her books come to t.v. or the big screen, because they remind me of Hallmark movies (which I adore!).

This series is on the lighter side, so it could be enjoyed by a younger reader (preteen) and still entertain old ladies (like me, at 43!). I love that while it’s fun and entertaining, I’m always left thinking about things. How I relate to and treat my husband, how I trust others, how I trust God.

It was a great read, and I’m anxiously awaiting the next installment!

I remember reading one or two Nancy Drew mysteries when I was much younger. I can’t say that I recall enjoying them as much as I am enjoying The CafFUNnated Mysteries by Angela Ruth Strong. For starters, these stories have so much quirky humor that they are fun to read. OK, maybe some of it is corny but I suppose I have always had a thing for corny humor. However, just the interactions between the various characters at times lead to humorous situations aside from the funny comments they make. One of the greatest features of this story involves the lessons about communications. Quite interestingly, the first lesson is shared by the pastor in a funeral message as he talked about how the deceased had learned to communicate with God. The leading characters are Marissa and Connor, and Tandy and Greg. Man, do they ever need to learn how to communicate, especially as couples. Marissa considers herself somewhat of a Nancy Drew type as witnessed in the first book. Other than being quite inquisitive and possibly having an overactive imagination, I wouldn’t take the comparison much further. Marissa will never be nicknamed Grace, except in derision. She falls over her own feet. And I keep wondering why she would be working in her tearoom wearing stilettos. I would vote for the snow boots that Connor gave her, particularly when outdoors, but she was even safer wearing them indoors. I think most readers will get an interesting surprise as the book draws to a close. I received an advance copy of this book from the publisher. This is my honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.

A Cuppa Trouble was a fairly fun read! I had a hard time getting into it, it is the second book in a series but I would say that you technically don’t need to read book 1. I hadn’t, which was why the first few chapters were slightly confusing, because you just jump right in and there were so many characters and I was like I have no idea what’s going on. But just like any book, it all started to make more sense at time went on and I had a fun time reading it.

There’s a little bit of mystery and some romance and friendship. Tandy and Marissa were fun characters to follow. They both had quirks that made them relatable. I will say, there were a few times that I got confused about whose POV I was reading, it wasn’t really obvious when it switched, and sometimes I’d be like wait, who’s talking now? But other than that they were both enjoyable characters to read.

I also loved the mystery in this book. I was honestly surprised, I did guess close to the end who was actually behind everything (what? I do watch a lot of crime dramas, so I like to think I’m good at guessing who the bad guy is) but I thought it was well written and there was still an element of surprise.

A Cuppa Trouble by Angela Ruth Strong, book 2 in the CafFunated Mysteries series, is an enjoyable read full of some what quirky characters who find themselves in some, well, quirky situations.

Tandy and Marissa are best friends and together they’ve decided to open a coffee shop together. Wait, make that a coffee and tea shop for one only drinks coffee, the other tea. The coffee shop is on the first floor while tea shop will be in a quaint loft still undergoing construction.

Somehow, without really meaning to, Tandy and Marissa find themselves in the midst of, yet again, of trying to solve a crime. When one of the customers turns up dead, just moments after stopping by the tea shop, the two can’t help but to get involved. A long the way an old beau shows up in town, a gum-chewing no nonsense FBI agent and a charming character with pink hair. Despite being warned to refrain from investigating, Tandy and Marissa seem to kind of discover little tidbits that lead to another bigger tidbit which in turn leads to one of them ending up in the trunk of a speeding car!

With a cozy mystery feel, A Cuppa Trouble is an entertaining read; I highly recommend it!

A Cuppa Trouble is a Christian mystery/suspense romance book by author Angela Ruth Strong. This is my introduction to the author, and it’s book two of The CafFUNated Mysteries Series. Isn’t that a lovely cover?!

It’s Valentine’s and the grand opening of Caffeine Conundrum. To celebrate the opening co-owners Tandy Brandt and Marissa Alexander will host The Dating Game as a fundraiser to fight heart disease.

Marissa finds George Knibbs dead in the snow just outside the shop. Was it an accident or was it a crime?

This was a humorous book although I didn’t approve of the love triangle. However, I am glad for the chance to read the book. I give it four stars because I was captivated enough to continue reading to the end. I did not figure out who-done-it, so that was a plus.

There is a sneak peek of the third book in the series at the end. It is titled `A Latte Difficulty.’

This is a unique cozy mystery because there is not only a case to solve, but there is also a lesson to learn in dealing with relationships. Marissa and Tandy must work on their friendship as well as communicating and trusting their hearts to their boyfriends. It was fun to see these ladies as the owners of a cute coffee/tea shop who are also drawn, quite by accident, into solving this mystery.

I thought the story could have been a bit shorter, but I did enjoy figuring out the identity of the lead villain. Marissa, Tansy, Connor, and Greg find themselves in quite a predicament when they encounter the killer. There was just the right amount of humor and tension as they outwit him.

If cozy mysteries are your cup of tea/coffee, this is just the book for you. This is the second book in the CafFunated Mysteries series but can be read as a standalone. I didn’t read the first book but didn’t have any difficulty with following this story. There was a reference to the first book, which made me curious to want to read it.

Angela Ruth Strong’s, A Cuppa Trouble while lacking incredible depth is still mildly entertaining. Strong’s main characters, Tandy and Marissa whose interests range from a fierce rivalry of coffee versus tea to fashion versus sensibility struck this reader as somewhat superficial.

The author introduces many characters with their own mini stories making it difficult to follow the story’s true action. The mini squabbles between business partners Tandy and Marissa along with their significant others only serve to further dilute the plot.

Ultimately, readers are likely to be surprised once the true villain is revealed which does give merit to the story. Anyone with no other summer plans might find this story worth the time.

I’m not going to give away any spoilers but this is a cute story filled with mystery and romance. Tandy and Marissa are two girls who are living the American Dream running their own coffee shop with their grand opening fast approaching on Valentine’s Day. Once they found out someone was murdered, they take matters into their own hands when they try to find the killer who broke into their cafe. I adore both Tandy and Marissa where even though they have opposite personalities, in the end they still adore each other throughout their investigation. Its a perfect book to read either during the summer or Valentine’s Day.

I received a complimentary copy of A Cuppa Trouble from the publisher/author. All opinions expressed are my own.

Another fun cozy mystery from Angela Ruth Strong. I am going to admit I wanted to shake Marissa a number of times. I mean I liked her, but I wanted to shake her and say "Girl! Get a grip!" LOL Thing is I have a friend just like her and that made me laugh and want to scream all the more.

I love that these stories are fun and not overly intense, but there is a real mystery and the solution isn't obvious from the start. Some cozies are rather whimpy and that is not the case here. I also love that romance is a part of it, but not the total focus. And I love that each book centers around a holiday.

This series (so far) has been a lovely reprieve from heavier reads which is just what I needed!

Another great book in the CafFUNated Mysteries series. Tandy and Marissa finally get to open their tea and coffee shop only to have their first customer murdered outside their shop and the discovery of a car theft ring in town. Chaos ensues involving car chases, suspected kidnappings, and an unexpected participant. Are Tandy and Greg ever going to have their first kiss? Will Marissa and Connor be able to make it work this time? Will the Valentine's Day grand opening go off without any major issues? I am enjoying the series and love that all of them are set around a different holiday.

This isn't my normal kinda of read but the synopsis was intriguing so I decided to try something new. Boy am I glad I did! It was a thrilling adventurous read! My son recently had me watch a movie where a couple has to solve a crime they are being framed for and the wife is a mystery novel fanatic and uses what's she's read in books to help her solve the crime. This book made me see why people like that enjoy this genre. I may have to add mystery thriller to my favorite list of genres!

This book was so much fun to read! It’s filled with mystery, suspense, twists & turns, and sprinkled throughout with little bits of humor, while still conveying some of the important principles of communication and relationships, like understanding and vulnerability, trust, and recognizing each other’s value. I love this quote: “I explained that God is always available for communication with us. All we have to do is talk, listen, and value that time together as a gift because God values us.” Another part I enjoyed immensely about this exciting series, is that it’s also filled with caffeine – coffee and tea - and of course, trouble!!
