A Sheriff Duke Story

When the going gets tough, Sheriff Duke gets tougher.

He’ll have to if he’s going to survive long enough to see justice done. The monsters infecting the forgotten Earth don’t sleep, and neither can he. There’s no time to rest. There’s no time to recover. The clock is ticking, the stakes are rising, and if he fails it’ll be more than his wife and child that are caught in the fallout.

It’ll be the whole world.

Don’t miss the thrilling conclusion to Forgotten Fallout, the series readers have called "addictive and exciting sci-fi filled with action, suspense, loss, and hope."

I have now read all the books in the forgotten universe so far (apart from the new one which came out a few days ago), and I must say, they are all brilliant.

Yes there's a few mistakes but M.R Forbes is a self publisher, because of that the bloke is phenomenal!

The story is incredibly gripping, the action is always intense and there are plenty of twists and turns along the way to keep you going! Plus, one thing I really liked about this book is that caleb card is mentioned twice! He is blatantly going to be in the next series!!!

The only gripe I will have about this is that the fight with shurrath was a bit lacking in comparison with some of the other fight scenes and it seemed a bit of an anti climax. However, this could just be due to some of the epic fights that have gone before.

That aside I can't wait for the new series to finish so I can start that! I can't start a new book when the series isn't finished! I like to binge read them.

6/10: Good light-weight read, well done.

“I’m not dead yet, asshole.”

It took a couple of goes to get this one finished. Some of that is on me. I just wasn't in a futuristic/sci-fi/dystopian frame of mind. I readily accept that. But some of it was the book, also.

I've loved this universe from the beginning, and I like the Sheriff, but I am so pleased the next book/series in this world is bringing all the characters together including Caleb and Rico.

I kinda feel like this one, although the end of this particular trilogy and providing some closure, was more a filler book to bring us in line for the next series. Which is promising to be excellent.

So, I liked this book, but it was a bit of a slog at times, and it didn't grab me quite as strongly as other books in this series/world/universe have.

Still, I am heading straight onto the next: book one in Forgotten Vengeance. And I have a very good feeling about it.

He was getting tired of everyone watching Earth, everyone manipulating Earth, everyone trying to use Earth and no one doing a damn thing for the people on Earth.

An awesome conclusion to a great trilogy... trilogy? Ha!

THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SOME MINOR SPOILERS ABOUT EVENTS IN THE FORGOTTEN SERIES.

A nice conclusion to this “mini-trilogy’ within the bigger Forgotten universe. Without having read what Sgt. Caleb Card has to add to the story (Forgotten Colony series) in the Sheriff Duke stories we got to learn a lot more about the origin of the xenotrife, the one’s who sent them, as well as their war against what Earthers know as “the Others”; an ancient conflict that started long before our very existence.

Forbes is expanding his Forgotten Universe into an awesome series, with multiple open plot lines that are slowly starting to converge from all four corners of the Relyeh-controlled universe. Can’t wait for what the upcoming Forgotten Vengeance series has to offer. In the mean time, I’ll catch up with Sgt. Card’s story in the Forgotten Colony sub-series, which for sure will have a lot to say in the battle against the ancient aliens.

Great series

Love Sheriff Duke. This is a great saga. Unlike some of the other series Mr Forbes has written the forgotten one has so many layers it can be hard to keep track. But they come together beautifully. I particularly enjoyed the ending which wrapped things up nicely while leaving the door open Fort so much more.

Vengeance

Sheriff Duke, in my opinion, finally is starting to get payback. In the earlier books in the series, he was putting out the smaller fires. Here, he went for the head of the snake. There were casualties all the way, there were several very close calls, and an interesting climax.

These need to be read before The Sheriff 1 thru 4 .

An excellent background co!llection. I came in contact with the sheriff and he had already lost his wife and children. These books have given me background into his life before that. Here he starts off bad to da bone and continues through out all all the other books. Read them all they're excellent.

Another Winner

Sherif Duke’s post-apocalyptic/monster mashup western continues. Can’t wait to see what happens next! The only complaint are a couple of hard won chinks in the Sheriff’s moral armor.

Good story, awful language.

Really? No better imagination than f this and f that? I for one find profanity, especially the f-word, very offensive. Very few of the accused are physically able anyway. So what’s up with that nasty habit, anyway?

This series was so good that I'm going to buy at least two sets to give out as presents. Super series. And Jonathan Davis narrated it, which just added to the awesome-ness.

Predictable with plenty of action

Predictable with lots of action. There is so much action, it is difficult to keep track of who is doing what. But All's well that ends well!!
