I just finished this book and I am completely in awe. I read about their fathers and now I’ve read about three of the children. I am looking forward to the final book in this series with much anticipation!

Harder Than Stone
Outstanding beginning of this new series. So exciting and it will keep you on the edge of your chair. With great power, someone will always be trying to take it away. Such is the case with Audrey and Jameson. The difference is that Audrey knows she is special and in danger, but Jameson doesn't. While on the run they learn that Jameson is special too, and Occulus has something to do with it. That, and the CIA is after her now, too. All that's left is to stay alive, escape and hope her family can help.

Harder Than Steel
The Conways are still searching for answers about Occulus. Roan is a strong character and works closely with his cousin to follow up on leads. That's how he meets Kimberly. Neither one is trusting and even though there is an intense (and unwanted) attraction. Kimberly is positive Roan wants to kill her, so she poisons him. He actually forgives her. I don't think I could do that. Kim jumps to conclusions a lot, but she is still strong and adapting pretty well. I love he confrontation between her and Roan's mom. Now, maybe some misunderstandings will be worked out. The more we learn the more questions there are.

Harder Than Diamond
We heard about Coy in previous books, now we find out all about him. Shay is girl Coy met in the woods around his family compound when they were 12. Secrets on both sides cut that budding romance short. Fast forward a decade and they are thrown back together. Only this time they will fight together to save his family and try to learn why they have the powers they do and what Occulus wants them for. I was a bit iffy about Shay at first until she met back up with Coy. Her sheer determination and strength to help Coy save his family won me over. The characters are all strong in character and abilities.

I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.

I originally read and reviewed these books separately. Below are those reviews.

"Harder Than Stone":
Welcome to the next generation of "Hard". We originally met Audrey as a child in "Hard Limit". She's now all grown up and determined that her generation will finally take down Oculus. Who's Oculous you ask? For the full back story I suggest you read the original "Hard" series. While not necessary, it will definitely help you understand what's happening now. I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to see which cousin is next.

"Harder Than Steel":
The Conways....
I have to admit that I'm loving this second generation of Conways even more than I loved their fathers. Trust, faith and fear are the key words for this story. Roan and Kimberly must face all three on their way to a HEA/HFN.

"Harder Than Diamond":
In this addition to the series, Coy's past collides with his present. We also learn just how far someone has gone to "match" the Conway's with a mate. Of the three stories in this spin-off, this one is my least favorite. Don't get me wrong, I liked the story but something was missing. Things seemed a little "easy". I did love the epilogue though.

I love these imaginative books about a family with amazing powers

I have read these three books separately and loved them. All three generations of the Conway family are now firm favourites of mine, through the Hard series when we were introduced to Drake searching for his four sons, who were lost to him for so many years, and saw those sons finding their wives, and then on to the Harder series when we see Drake's grandchildren finding their other halves, and finally the last book (Hardest Of Them All, published soon) when the whole family join together to finally put paid to the shadowy organisation that has been a blight on all their lives (I hope).
These books have been a pleasure to read. The characters are individual and distinct, the stories imaginative and unusual, and I am sad that the series is coming to an end. I recommend starting at the beginning with Hard Instincts because you will get so much more out of these books if you read them in sequence and you will not be disappointed.

We’re back with the Conway family’s fight against the nefarious organization Oculus. This time it’s the next generation who are joining the fray. This is an intriguing, suspenseful romance series. It’s fast-paced, full of action and emotions, with strong, interesting characters. The storylines are engaging and entertaining and will keep you involved from beginning to end. Each episode the plot continues to get deeper and more absorbing. I recommend this very captivating series.

Great series

Can’t wait for the conclusion off this fight against Oculus. Loved all the families trials and tribulations. Love stories and connections of all the books. Try to start with the first and work thru the adventure.
