Spoiler Alert!!! This is one of the best indie books I've read. I think because it's an indie and lack of marketing it didn't do too well. That's really unfortunate, because this is worth the read and very well-written.
OMG, I've never laughed so hard in my life. This book was set in the 1980's, when employees were allowed to smoke at their desk. Also, the employer was not up to date on technology, they used a typewriter. The office politics, smoking and lack of technology brought back memories of my first job.
On to Joan, the heroine of the story. Joan, Joan, Joan was a hot mess. She was infected with "H" and she wasn't handling it too well. She admits to having some fifty partners in her day, and really didn't know when or where the infection happened. Two things Joan did that made me gasp for air. First, she met a nice guy and she didn't disclose her infection for a few months. THEN, her boss was an ass and Joan had plotted a plan to infect the man!!! I'm like OMG. Unfortunately, he feel asleep and slipped into a diabetic coma.
