When the quest for justice drives Batman into some morally ambiguous areas, he calls in the most moral man he knows: Jefferson Pierce, a.k.a. Black Lightning, and his team of operatives known as the Outsiders!
Several years ago Batman personally put the Barrera family into hiding after they suffered through terrible experiments at the hands of an organization called the Ark. Now all but one of them has turned up dead...and Batman needs to locate Sofia Barrera before the wrong people get their hands on her-and her surprising power! But it wouldn’t be Batman without a hidden agenda, would it? And when Black Lightning, Katana, the Signal and Orphan find out what Batman is really up to, their every loyalty will be called into question!

A slow start, even for a new series, but intriguing and interesting new characters, Kaliber, a mix of Terminator and Cable (from Marvel), looks really cool! Not so sure how it will turn out, but I wll look into the next one for sure to know!
I was a fan of the original outsiders. Glad to see to alumni Black Lightning and Katana. However I'd prefer a Black Lightning solo series. The story is interesting ,so I'll stick around for a few issues.
I was already psyched to see the name Outsiders on a book again, I’ve always loved the different iterations of the team, Hill’s writing does not disappoint, and the art and coloring in this book are top notch!
Picked this up from my LCS and enjoyed it. I am an issue behind so I am going to pick up #2. The story line was a little slow to begin with and the story has a lot of holes that need to be filled but I am sure thats what the next issues will be about. The Art is awesome by Soy. 4 stars.
It’s always cool to see a new iteration of the Outsiders and how Batman approaches things. This time Black Lightning seems to take more center stage. Some interesting new characters, we’ll see how things progress...
A good start. Black lightning does not trust Barman, but he us trusted to lead the new team. Are the misfits, damaged or outcast. Can they become a team, especially as they are needed not of an old case for Batman. Good artwork, a bit of action and the story has potential.
This is a solid start. I love how Black Lightning has no problem being upfront and confrontational with Batman. It's an interesting team lineup too. And the art was great.
