I'm not sure I can find the right words to review this book. Dyfan Williams gives us an incredibly honest, powerful, and moving account of tragic personal loss. His hope is that this book will be used by God to help those walking through their own dark valleys, and also those called to comfort such people. If you're in either of those categories (which, of course, is basically all of us at some point), you would do very well to pick up this book, prayerfully read through it, and thank the Lord for giving the author the courage to put it all down on paper.
4.5 stars. Dyfan Williams' story of the death of his 10-year-old daughter moved me to tears. This book was well written and a quick to read. I found that this book helped me enter into the experience of someone who had suffered the shocking, devastating loss of a child.
There were various points through this book that I just had to put it down and weep, and yet this was the most wonderful of books. This was written so well and was powerfully honest. There were just so many thoughts and perspectives that resonated with how I feel as a father toward my own daughters. Thank you Dyfan for writing what must have been so difficult and painful at times to write.
