A nice, basic introduction to Lovecraft and his work. It made me wish that R.Crumb would illustrate a Lovecraft book like the Kafka one he did a while back.
If you aren't new to Lovecraft, this title doesn't bring much new to the table. However, it does a fine job of bringing his work into better focus, especially within the context of Lovecraft's life and personal beliefs.

One of my new favorites, Lovecraft's horror/sci-fi is able to disturb and send chills to the bone without a single drop of blood (even though that sometimes helps). He does not like cats.

One of the best of the Twayne studies - in this case concise without slipping into major errors of omission or superficiality.
